This is a peaceful campground that is well maintained and has fantastic amenities such as a walking/biking path, disc golf, playgrounds, and a swimming lake. The sites are asphalt and level and include a table and charcoal built-in bbq ring. Each has elec and water. There is a main dump station for campers use. The bath/shower house is nice.

Thank you Campendium!! Who would have thought such a nice campground would be near Lima, Ohio. Rates in September 2021 are $30 or $25 for those over age 60. Sites are all paved where your unit goes and fairly level(it is west central Ohio after all). Good spacing between most sites with lots of lawn on the outer fringe sites(I was in site 7). Trees are young and offer minimal shade. Bathrooms are modern and well cared for. There are two showers and two toilets in the Mens room so things probably get crowded in there on weekends. Can barely hear the highway on a windless fall evening

“First come first served” — I asked about the reservation policy. That was the response, then I had to ask how full they were for her to tell me they were completely full. If I hadn’t asked, would I have had to drive all the way there to know they were full? Bad customer service.

Great place to camp if you can get in there for a weekend. I see that people go in and reserve their spot for the weekend by going in and registering on a Wednesday for four nights and putting a twenty dollar Walmart tent on there spot since you have to have a camp set up to keep your reservation. They do not camp Wednesday or Thursday but bring RV in on Friday and set up real camp. Need to change policies for people that work and can`t spend extra money for nights not used. Disappointing to try to get a site and see empty little tents everywhere.

This is one of Ohios nicest parks. Very well maintained.

Very clean...very quiet...only downfall is that it is a small campground and you cant reserve a spot. It is first come/ first serve. The camp hosts are always friendly and helpful. Wish campground guests didnt have to pay to swim but at least it is a discounted price from general admission.

I stayed for a period of time and it was very laid back and it was really a great place to camp. The facilities were always clean and plenty of fire wood.

This is such a nice place! Fishing, hiking, play area, camping, amphitheater, disc golf and shelter houses. Well kept and clean. Only one thing that not to my liking in the least bit, they have composted toilets...yuck!!!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this camp grounds. The shower house/bathrooms were kept very clean. The campsites were well maintained. We loved the trails, biking paths, and disc golf. Our family will definitely use the Metro Park Camping facility again.

Went with friends to walk the paths and play Pokemon GO was a lot of fun and was beautiful out there. Very clean and peaceful

Campsites are very large and very clean. Bike/walk paths are miles long! Beach area is very nice and family friendly. All is very well taken care of.

Best park in Lima! Its quiet, secluded and spacious. Great walking paths. Also, its the best Pokemon Go nest in Lima.

Great little campground, clean facilities, 30a with several 50a sites, water and a clean dump station on site.

Great for young families and those looking to be active. Bike path, Frisbee golf, fishing, swim area, playground, nice and clean shower house, water and electric at site.Lacking one star because trees are young and lack shade.

Clean campground that is well layed out and all sites are paved. Sites are all spaced out to give you a lot of room to camp and have your own space. The bathrooms are always clean and tidy. Its also nice but not well known that if you want a campfire you need to buy a fire pass for $10. But with that pass they have a little shed by the camp hosts camper full of wood with a wagon to haul it back and you can burn all the wood you want for the length of your stay for that $10. Which I think is a pretty good deal.

Great Metro Park to walk, bike, disc golf, & camp. Also swimming in the summer.

What a great park! $25 a nite (or just $20 for a senior like me) for your RV or camper , gets you water and electric, access to the lake for fishing, the pond for swimming, the bike path, frisbee golf course, nature shows on the weekends, horseshoes, nature area for bird watching, I could go on and on! Of course all of this is free if you dont camp, but if you do stay, its first come first serve, no reservations

One thing if you are walking due to back problems it would benefit them if bike riders did not wait until the last second to say something. Also,one biker rides way to fast and almost hits people. 😓

Pokemon GO hotspot... Great swimming area, Park area for kids, Disc Golf for the older crowd and plenty of Trails and beautiful scenery for those who like to exercise.
