Dr. Malisos and his staff are wonderful! Anytime I call with a concern for my children, they get me right in. Also, I appreciate the time the doctor takes explaining everything. Dr. Malisos knowledge supersedes doctors we have had in the past, helping me to stay confident in my children being patients there.My children feel 100% happy and comfortable there. It’s always extremely clean and very nicely decorated, warm welcoming for families! Highly recommended!

If I could give a ‘0’ I would. I very much support their statement of letting parents choose but ripping parents off in tough positions is a low move. Never once did they tell me of a non refundable fee or cancellation fee but charged my card $130 anyways (without my permission).

Dr. Rodney Malisos was excellent. Really strong bed side manners and genuinely seemed to care about getting me better. He was able to provide new suggestions for my issues that had never been considered by any of my previous allergists.

It look a while for me to find a pediatrician in the area that I liked, but I am very happy that I found Dr. Malisos. Im having trouble expressing what it is I like about him, but the word that keeps coming to mind is balanced. He is cut-to-the-chase quick but also makes you feel like you are welcome to spend as much time as you need with him. He is thoughtful about answering questions and having real discussions with you, but also authoritative. He finds the right balance between being opinionated, but open-minded to new ideas.Also, the office staff is helpful and pleasant.

Came in for bilateral knee pain after giving birth bc they could fit me in same day and they had in house x-rays capabilities. I ended up being talked into phentermine because everything is related to your weight. Dr barely looked at me and already he had made up his mind I was just another fatty in need of a diet. They didnt even give me x-rays or give me a diagnosis as they told me I had to schedule that for another day. So they did not address what I came for at all! The only reason I went with them was because they could fit me in the same day and I was in pain! I went the next day to Orthopedic Health of KC in NKC and immediately my doctor addressed my knee pain and with x-rays was able to give me a diagnosis of bilateral quadriceps tendonitis related to the hormones during pregnancy that loosen your joints, nothing to do with my weight. Its been several months since and with a rx for inflammation and some strengthening/rest cycling my pain has been gone for a few months now. I would not recommend this office or doctor.

We started coming here after our daughter was born and Dr. Malisos has been great. He always takes the time to listen and offers a professional opinion while being supportive of parental choices in care.The nurses are also all great. Really good with kids!!!!!

We have been seeing Dr. Malisos since our older daughter started seeing him for asthma in Liberty in 2011. Since then, he has successfully treated six of our extended family. We trust him and his clinical judgment more than our primary doctors!! He is just a sharp clinician and knows a lot more than just his field (that he is obviously an expert in). I went to see him while visiting my daughter who is a regular patient of his. I was unwell and my daughter notified MD Malisos who suggested I come in despite not having a standing appointment. Im a diabetic whos sugar was not well controlled. My previous doctor would not listen to my request to change my medicines but Dr. Malisos listened and made changes. This is the feeling that we got when we met Dr. Malisos. We took our 7-year-old son to Dr. Malisos to diagnose his allergies. My son has been suffering from pretty bad allergies and they last all year long not just seasonal.Dr. Malisos was extremely patient and funny when he talked to my son and put him at ease for the allergy tests. He gave us a detailed explanation of his specific allergies, recommended a few non-medicinal things that can be very effective. His calm demeanor and very objective analysis are best you can get.

Dr. Malisos is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He listens and works cooperatively with his patients to develop realistic plans of care. Staff is great, too.

Had to take my daughter to Urgent Care a couple of weekends ago. My trusty Google maps told me this place was just a couple of miles away. We arrived and there was no one else there, so we were seen right away. I have been seeing Dr. Malisos for the past 8 months now. I actually look forward to going in for my visit. He has helped me lose over 30 pounds and, with his help and encouragement, I expect to lose another 100. He should have patients lining up to come visit him! His office is big, roomy, and currently decorated for the holidays so it is very kid friendly! People have to understand that, yes, Drs cost money, but they have families to support just like the rest of us do, and with the high standards of care I receive, he is worth every penny I pay him or he gets from insurance, which, these days, what with cost sharing, they dont get near what they have to charge when your visit is over with. All the staff are kind, and considerate, and I hope to be able to keep him for as long as I need a Dr. I have never had a Dr. that I enjoyed going to. Some of them just pat you on the head and prescribe another pill, and when you get to be my age, it isnt very encouraging! I read some of the reviews below and I dont know about you but as far as I am concerned - the costs? I learned along time ago that I am responsible to finding out what pays for what and who pays who for what. Insurance sure isnt the same as it used to be so those complaints seem a little misguided to me. So please, test my body to make sure it can withstand what I am going to be putting it through. Good care cost money already. You only get out of this program what you are willing to put into it. I would rather be safe and alive than the other. I found that the staff to be caring and considerate. I have been able to lose weight at a safe pace and felt encouraged when I did well and no condemnation when I struggled. In fact, I was encouraged then too. Help with diet and exercise strategies were a real plus. It was great to have someone that knew what was too hard and not hard enough to push yourself in developing your daily exercise plan. My diet plan is where I struggle. I heard it said You cant overcome a bad diet with exercise I found this to be true. Its amazing how the weight comes off once you get your plan in order and stick to it. It is not so much the pills as it is your resolve to stick with it and if you listen to what the Dr. tells you and if you ask him questions about what you are not sure about you will succeed. I have referred several of my customers and friends and they have all enjoyed the experience.

I would definitely recommend Doctor Malisos. Very friendly and cares about his patients. I really like that hes open to natural treatments along with medicine when necessary. Also, its usually never a problem getting an appointment the day I call. The staff is also great as well!

Finally a doctor who understands nutrition and exercise are paramount to good health. He doesnt just describe medcine to mask the problem, but works with you to eliminate the initial cause of the problem. Dont question their billing or practice procedures. Pay them exactly what they say or your being confrontational. Dont ask for any explanations. Dont tell them youve been injured in an auto accident as they are hesitant to see you despite personal insurance and paying for any fees directly. When you ask why they are hesitating, you are being confrontational, as well. Accept their explanations as they dont make mistakes, ever....its you...youre the problem....Never really had any issues here until I was involved in an auto accident, someone else at fault. Their attitudes changed dramatically after that. Not a big fan now and will start looking for a new doctor....6/9/18-I fully expected you to try to bully me in your response as that seems to be your m.o. when anyone complains....you might let future patients know that you are intimidated by questions, so dont ask...your insecurity is amazing...

Im a 35 yo, 90% disabled veteran who has had 4 surgeries on one knee. Granted it was my first appointment with him but I brought my proof...I just needed a handicap form signed and a second opinion ona shoulder injury. He told me a story about how some punks pulled into a handicap spot and ran into Golden corral, thus making him carry her in. Ill not 23 guy. Pretty sure I know when I can tolerate the extra 50 ft..Pretty rude and judgy if you ask me...Ill be finding a new doc.

Cant say enough good about him or his practice of medicine. Dr. Malisos educates the patient about how and why the problem exists then offers healthful options for real long term health instead of only suggesting side effect ridden synthetic options.Liberty Medical Center and all of its staff have been all I could want for my family. Very hard to find these treatment options in the midwest.

I have been a patient of Dr. Malisos for the past 6 years and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

We chose this prcatice because of the raving reviews. I had my son and was discharged from the hospital with instructions to do a bilirubin test with his results sent to his pediatrician. After not receiving a call from either the hospital or his office, we essentially spent 2 hours playing phone with trying to find someone who would have our sons results so that we would know if he had to go back into the hospital. Dr. Malisos was not in the office that day and the receptionist who answered the phone informed us that the lady who accepts faxes had left for the day. After talking with the hospital where we delivered at they instructed us to call back and get the results. My husband then called back to Dr. Malisos office and basically explained that we were trying to get these results and how we had to have them because it would determine whether our son would have to be placed back into a hospital stay. He also expressed his disappointment in the doctor with him obviously not being able to direct his office on how to handle situations when he is not in. My husband is a nurse and was upset, understandably so, but in no was was disrespectful. After being placed on hold for about 30minutes the receptionist was able to either get ahold of the lady who accepts the faxes or Dr. Malisos and told us the results which indicated my sons levels were higher and needed treatment. Now we needed to be directed with what to do and where we needed to take him. We went to the hospital we delivered at only to find out that his physician had to give orders to have him be seen and that meant yet another call to Dr. Malisos. After again explaining our situation and needing orders she again explained to us he was out of the office and that she was trying to reach him. Waited for about 30 minutes on hold on she then informed us that she couldnt reach him as he was in physicians meeting. Since our son was technically not established with his practice that they could not give out medical advice and direct us where to take him or give orders for him to be seen by the hospital. She then suggested that we find another office that had a peditrictian there who would somehow get him last minute and would beable to give us orders on what to do....keep in mind that my son would not be established there or any place as he was just born 3 days prior. So we took our son to childrens mercy and decided to keep his appointment as we were definitely wanting to discuss our concerns and how his office poorly managed this situation. Get a call this morning with the receptionist informing us that the appointment had been canceled and how we need to find a physician who can fit our familys needs. Which is fine and we will and planned to but again poorly done as Dr. Malisos simply did not want to explain to parents how he failed our child and his offices neglect. If a doctor cannot manage situations when he is not in and further more is not willing explain himself to parents then I highly recommend finding a different doctor. As parents we have a right to ask questions and show concerns when we feel things are not handled properly. If a doctor cannot let people express concerns on the care they receive then he shoudnt be intrusted with their best interest.Since i cannot reply to your response i want to add. You were not our doctor because we had yet to have an appointment with you as i had delivered my son 4 days ago. You can say what youd like but we were not rude nor disrespectful just because we were doing our best as parents to retrieve our sons test results. They were sent to your office as we had set an appointment up with you to become his physician as i had just given birth. It was neglectful on your part to not have protocols in place for this situation and further more not accept fault in how you handled the situation which shows how unprofessional you are when every negative review you treat as the person was rude or disrespectful or confrontational. I sincerely hope that no other parent intrusts you with the care of their child.

Dr. Malisos is my hero. I am a complicated patient, and he has helped me more than anyone else.
