The absolute best place to go! Got us in and out quickly! Took amazing care of my kids and were so sweet!

Today my son got a haircut with Kacie. my son is very sensitive to getting haircuts and doesnt like things around his ears and often cries when getting cuts done. Kacie went above and beyond what I expected. She was so amazing with my son and made him laugh, and made him comfortable. Even when he got a little scared and ran away Kacie followed him to the toys to finish his cut for me. she had the most genuine sympathy for his needs and his feelings. She is so awesome with children and happy to be around them. I highly recommend her. she is the sweetest.

Took my son here for his first hair cut. He was not going to sit in the chair so the stylist was very accommodating and cut his hair with him in my lap. That was not an easy feat but all he would allow. I wasnt sure if I could convince my daughter to also get her first hair cut but while there she decided it would be okay. They were able fit her in right after my son. She loved the Frozen jeep and getting her nails painted. It was worth the drive from Fort Jackson. We will be back!

My daughter, son and I all got haircuts here. They tailored the experience for each of us. Of course its geared towards kids but I appreciated the convenience of getting my haircut as well. The kids always love coming here.

Leslie the stylist did an awesome job washing, cutting, and styling mine and Kaylis hair today. She blow dried and braided my hair and put in an updo with rubber bands, bobby pins to hold it in place, and she added light green and dark green hair clips and my hair was done. I highly recommend her to anyone if they need their haircuts tomorrow at Sharkeys Cuts For Kids. And I will highly recommend Leslie, Joanna, Kelsey, Chloe, or Kerri if kids need their hair cut on the weekends as well. Kelsey actually cut my hair the first time I went in there and I told Kelsey I wanted to grow my hair out for donating it to Wigs4Kids and she explained to me that my hair has to be 12 inches long before I could go to a hair professional to have 12 inches of my hair cut off and I would have my hair donated and Wigs4Kids would send me a thank-you note in the mailbox telling me that they got it and Joanna cut my sister Kaylis hair the first time she went in there as well. They all do an awesome job. I will definitely come back the next time my hair grows back out and I will have it cut again. Thank you Sharkeys Cuts For Kids. :)

Joanna was absolutely amazing in every way. My 3 year old has always screamed bloody murder getting his hair cut but sat through the entire time. I told her I wanted to grow out my boys hair and she explained how to do that. Defiantly going back to her. She was great! Thanks Joanna!

Great for kids who have issues sitting still or get bored. My son loves picking out a car and show to watch. The stylists have great patience and are good at keeping kids happy and entertained while doing a good job with the haircuts. We have been here three times and seen three different stylists and theyve all been great.

Went there for my sons first haircut. He had long hair and baby curls still on the back that we wanted to keep. When I called to make the appointment I asked for them to please not schedule us with someone that doesnt know what they are doing. The guy said it would be him and he has been doing hair a while now. He sounded offended that I even asked. We get there and explain that we wanted front and sides trimmed but leaving the back for now because those baby curls were just too dang cute. Well he started cutting and started to trim the back. I stopped him and said no dont cut the back. He replied that he want just trimming the stragglers. He then proceeded to make another trim cut to the back and I had to say no just dont touch the back. Once baby curls are cut they are gone. He tried to assure me that my sons curls wouldnt fall out because of the small amount he trimmed. I didnt let him cut anymore off the back and well it didnt matter curls are gone 2 days later. I will never forgive myself for letting someone cut my boys hair that had no clue what he was doing. This is even supposed to be a childrens barbershop. I gave it 2 stars for the kid friendly design. The haircut sucked.

This place is WONDERFUL! The staff was very welcoming and kind. They had toys for the children to play while they waited for their haircut. They have cars/Jeeps for the younger children to sit in during their cut and they had tvs for them to watch their favorite show on. They also had chairs that had video game console for older kids to play while they received their cut. This place is also VERY sensory friendly and the staff is very accommodating to the special needs community. Theyre experienced with dealing with children with specials needs, too. This is the only place that I will be taking my children to from now on!

Chloe is amazing! My son is on the move constantly and hard to handle. She always does a great fade, keeps a positive attitude, and he looks fantastic every time! I definitely recommend her. No one can cut his hair like she can!

I take both of my children to this location and I can not imagine going anywhere else. They do a great job and they have all the bells and whistles to keep the little ones occupied. They give them lollipops, tattoos and balloons. My kids love it as much as I do. Above all they are so patient with my children.

Taylor was amazing. This was the first haircut in over 4 years for our son. He has been scared of getting his hair cut for ages. Taylor jumped right in and made him feel comfortable. Our son was able to play Xbox while he had his hair cut and styled. It was almost like nothing was going on while the cut was happening. We will most def be going back in the future.

My nephew had such a fun experience at Sharkeys! He loved all the toys and our stylist Chloe was so professional and super sweet. My nephew adored her and his hair cut looked amazing!! We will definitely be using Sharkeys from now on.

The place is so good, kids can enjoy , there are of toys to play while waiting. The stylist who did a hair cut for my son did not smile and interact, also she didnt properly clean his face and hair on his dress. front side hair cut was uneven. Disappointed.

My 2 year old daughter hates even getting her hair combed by me, so I thought it was going to be a disaster, but there was not a moment that she was upset. Willie cut her hair and painted her nails for her, was super gentle and dealt with the wiggles really well. It was just a cool environment and such a great experience. We got a certificate and photo to document her first haircut - and a couple giant balloons as a parting gift. Really friendly staff.

This is the only place I trust to cut my sons hair. The staff are extremely patient with him and make the experience comfortable for him. He usually likes the idea of getting a cut then when he gets to the place my son gets nervous, the staff do everything they can to make the time there enjoyable while also getting him a nice even cut. 10/10 would recommend.

Definitely the best place to go in all of Columbia to get your kids haircut. They have TVs for the kids to watch at each chair and or Xboxes for the kids to play while they get their haircut. My son loves going here and wont go anywhere else to get a haircut. Great staff easy to find from the street great experience. Definitely worth a try.

They were good with my daughter getting a haircut and my younger daughter. They made them feel special and painted their nails too. We donated her hair and they said it was free for donating. I could see having a birthday there too it has a cute princess room

I have been into Sharkeys twice and each time Ive been Ive been impressed. The first time it was very busy but all of the staff and the owner had smiles on their faces, but most important was all the kids and parents which just seemed to be having good time. When moms smiling and kids are smiling I would say thats a great day at the kids hairstylist.

My daughter is autistic and hates for anyone touch her face or hair. She was so happy and excited, she loved it and cried wen we had to leave. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back!!

We had such an amazing experience getting our sons first haircut done here! I was Abit nervous going in because hes not a fan of having his hair combed but the entire staff was stellar and did a fantastic job at making sure he had a good experience.

Asked for a little boy cut short on the sides and longer on top on my 3 yr old grandson.What he got was a BOWL CUT. When I complained the stylist made it even higher.After getting home and washing his hair it was so uneven. Im angry and his mother cried. Sent an email to Sharkeys 2 weeks agoAnd they didnt even have the courtesy to reply. WE WILL NOT BE BACK.After reading all the reviews I find it ironic that the owner ONLY replies to the good reviews and writes nothing in the way of an apology to the negative onesUPDATE. ..Just received a call from Kim at Sharkeys apologizing for what happened.Thank you.

Never will I ever change from sharkeys. .they have been doing my daughters hair since she was 1. They are super patient with her, and adjust to her. Love the staff!

This used to be the only place I took my son to get his haircut by Kelsey and shes amazing however she went to weekends only and that just doesnt work with my schedule so I tried another stylist her name was Katie. My sons hair isnt anything hard to do, typical boy scissor haircut and trimmers around the ears and neck for clean lines. His hair is 4 different lengths up top and not blended at all! His bangs are so short and crooked, just in time for the holidays too! I brought this to the managers attention via phone call and they offered to fix it for free but Im not giving them the opportunity to make it even worse. Lost a regular customer. Save yourself the headache and just go to snip-its off the back. I paid too much money for his hair to look like this.

This is a great place to get a haircut for the kids. Booking online may still be a little tricky, but it is a new feature since they redid the place. It might not be the cheapest haircut for kids, but its worth it!

The women who work here were ALL very kind and helpful. i took my daughter here for her first haircut (she told me she wanted it cut and we werent sure how she wanted it) and the young lady who cut her hair did beyond EXCELLENT! and theres so much for kids to do there, great price-wise as well, definetly wont break the bank. The girls that were working that day were great with kids. My son usually HATES getting his hair cut, but actually walked out smiling! They have TVS in front of each of the chairs (which are actually power cars made into seats). They put something on Netflix that the child wants to watch and everything works out well! It looks like there is an area in the back for parties, all pink with mirrors, perfect for a little girl wanting a pampering day for herself and friends. We loved it there!

I have been to this location several times with my young toddler and have had the best experiences. We go to a particular stylist, Alaysia, and she is fabulous! She is so patient and kind. Alaysia has always done an excellent job and my child now looks forward to seeing her. I wish I had gone to her for his first haircut!

Will never spend another dollar there again. I come there with my kids 28 mins before close. First they ask me if I had appointment I said no do I need one? They say no. Then they ask who getting hair cut I said my daughter and they tell me we don’t have anymore appointment for girls....there was 4 stylist up front. Horrible service

Dont go here unless you want to waste your time. I showed up right when they opened (actually a few minutes before) and was told it would be no more than a 15 minute wait. Sat there for 30 minutes before asking if it would be much longer because I had to be somewhere at 11. I was told they wouldnt be starting on my sons hair by then...an hour after I arrived! What a joke and complete waste of my time.

I took my 2yr old son in for his very first haircut... It was long and he had beautiful curls. His Hair Is Butchered, It Looks Awful! I showed the hairdresser pictures of what we wanted and all I can do now is cry. Very Unhappy!His Last Name is Del Valle.

Very disorganized experience wait time was okay, haircut seemed okay didnt blow dry the hair until I asked about it also got makeup and nails done for my daughter, when doing the nails the lady doing the nails spilled clear nail polish all over her new dress then when she was doing makeup spilled a whole bottle of glitter on the new dress by the time I left the dress is ruined but I guess you get what you pay for.

They cut my childs hair and he doesnt completely have a meltdown so thats all the stars I can give,. They have cool race car seats and TVs and a crazy weird restroom which I cannot exactly figure out. Also, the kiddos get prizes including a balloon which is a bonus.
