My brother was in rehab here for a short time since he got in trouble for the most ridiculous things (picking up rocks in the park, getting in the creek, forgetting a chore because he was feeling sick). It is absolutely appalling to me that they were going to kick him out over such small insignificant things that you would expect a young adult in recovery to do. You need to have good communication and make it feel like a safe open place in order to make rehabilitation possible, not put others down and force feed opinions on how you think they should be/act in order to make them fit into what you think is acceptable for society. To me this place is very unprofessional and biased and I hope no other young people looking for help go through this here.

I really thought this place truly cares about you and your recovery. I wish it would have been at least a 90 day program but I would and have recommended this facility to anyone iv thought needed help. I would love to come back and speak with my counselor that I had the privilege of meeting. her name was shelly and I can say she is not just talking about stuff she read in a book. I hope she reads this because I think about her every day she has been an inspiration to me. even though Im sad to say iv relapsed and could really use some help. Im sorry I let you down and chose not to listen to the words you taught me. Im sorry to ramble on but I just need an outlet to vent to right now. Im so ready for this pain to be over. I would love to speak with her if possible. she was the first person i thought of tonight.

This was my first rehab experience. I wish I would have gone somewhere else. The appalling lack of professionalism of the staff still haunts me over a year later. The facilities are run-down, and if you think you will be fed well, you are mistaken. If you are used to living on the streets or in prison, perhaps the canned-everything, high sodium, food-bank, war rations-type food will suit you. The staff does go to the store one day a week for the facility and clients, and if you give them money, they are supposed to buy what you request. Unfortunately they will often claim that they couldnt find what you asked and paid for, only because they didnt want to bother to look for something they are not used to, like frozen vegetables, of all things! It is also not supposed to be faith-based, but there is a monstrous heap of their god/Jesus talk. For someone who has no god-belief, this can be very alienating, especially because of the bullying that occurs if you dont believe as the others do, or you dont bow your head when they pray. If you mention any other recovery program, such as SMART or Rational Recovery, they look at you like you have 3 heads. Its 12-step all the way for them, and dont you dare suggest otherwise. If you are higher on the narcissism or sociopath spectrum, you will fit in very well here. Avoid this place if you have a long history of trauma, Complex PTSD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder. If you are not used to being around ill-mannered swine, you will be in for a profound shock. The more teeth and education you have, the less you will fit in here. Also, be prepared for major second-hand smoke exposure because almost everyone smokes, and they do it right at the door, so you breathe it whether you want to or not. Theres also bullying of non-smokers as well.

Staff is understanding and has a vast knowledge of resources and community support for people who are/have been afflicted by substance consumption and/or addiction. I highly recommend this facility for Parents/Partners/Families who need reprieve and solitude.Your loved one will be in safe hands.

Considering that my personal counselor was out sick 98% of my 28 days, I completed the program. The only staff that seemed to care about you is Miss G and Robin. They both take the time to make sure things are ok with you. The classes really make you think, especially if you are there to be honest with yourself and trying something different with your life.James, the mens weekend house manager cannot see in his old age and has health problems. So be prepared for a very scary ride when he drives the van. I cannot stress this enough, THE MAN DOESNT BELONG BEHIND THE WHEEL.James is clearly a racist since he loves to sport his Black Power jacket on chilly days. He doesnt hide the fact that he only likes his people, as he once said. So prepare yourself for weekend drama within the house.
