This office is completely disorganized and appears greatly understaffed. It took 6 months to get an initial appointment. And now, it takes between 7-11 days to get a refill of my diabetes medication every single month. Every single month, its a circus of foolishness. I refill the first day allowable and the pharmacy calls that same day to request the refill. It then takes 3-5 days for the only nurse to call to make sure I want it. God forbid you miss that call, because you will never be able to get ahold of her again. Every single time I call the office, she is at lunch, gone, or busy. If, by some miracle, you can talk with someone with the authority to refill a prescription, it then takes another 2 days for the prescription to be sent to the pharmacy and then another 3-7 days for the pharmacy to get the meds. This is a maintenance medication. Its not rocket science. In addition, the office staff are very rude. When the answer the phone, they act like you are bothering them.

This practice appears to be in some disarray. I have had no permanent provider assigned to me. An attempt to have a prescription adjusted/corrected has been met by total silence, even after 4 days of multiple attempts to reach them. CMMCs own call center was unable to connect with them using their own back line. It appears that I would have to make a personal trip (40 miles round trip) to verify that they are still providing services.

They are very knowledgeable and the education is great. For those things I highly recommend them. However their office staff is rude and disorganized. You never know if they transfer you to speak with the Portland or Lewiston office, even when you specify Lewiston. Of course, if you have been transferred to the wrong office or person, it’s your fault. They are quite snippy and annoyed. If you are canceling or rescheduling an appointment they make it sound like they need a reason and seem to judge if it’s valid or not.Really impressed with one side of the Docs/ nurses/ education/ care.Really dread dealing with office staff, even face to face- like check in and out. They do not want to be there & don’t know how to smile fake it, like most people in customer service do.This is pre- pandemic & it’s worse now in the pandemic.

Dr Peralta is an AWESOME doctor. I have been seeing her for about 9 years and she has taken very good care of me. If you need a referral for diabetic shoes or a pump and supplies. she gets the job done very quickly for her patients.
