KC Bariatric was probably the best hospital experience I have ever had. Dr. Aregone & his staff was outstanding they answered all my questions, were so compassionate. My surgery went so well I had hardly any pain. It was truly a phenomenal experience. Highly highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful facility and staff! They understood that I wanted to work with the dietitian only on an eating plan and respected that. The Doctor gave me all my options and listened. She never ever pushed surgery on me. Its great and Im losing weight.

I have truly enjoyed my experience here, I drive 2 and half hours to come here and I would do it all over again. They have adapted to my schedule, very helpful and are very patient!!! All they employees are very friendly, from the front desk to the Dr. Im still waiting to get my surgery date, but its very close.

I had VSG performed in December 2020 with Dr. Hamilton. I travelled to Lenexa from OKC. What a phenomenal experience! Excellent patient care and follow-up services. Only wish I had done it sooner!

Surgery pre op nurses were rude, dismissive and completely blind sided my husband and I when we arrived that you get no support person pre op. You know when they usually need you the most to keep them calm before a major surgery. Made us feel like I should have dropped him off at the door and left. He wasnt happy and neither was I. It never used to be this way though. Sad to see this change happen.

Excellent!! BCKC offers excellent care pre and post op. Communication is excellent. I was well informed every step of.the way during my journey. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I am very disappointed to have to be posting this review, because the staff on the surgery side of KC Bariatric are AMAZING. I had the most incredible surgical team and was extremely happy with my experience. However, my longer-term care with the Nurse Practitioners has been extremely disappointing. In a recent meeting, the Nurse Practitioner proceeded to lecture me about how we can always make excuses and how I cant just put off my weight loss. This tough love lecture was right after I had told her that I was struggling because I had just lost a family member in a tragic accident and needed to focus my goals on maintaining right now. She then proceeded to compare the stress of losing a family member to the stress of being a working mom. I expect more compassion from medical professionals that work with weight loss every day. It isnt a sprint, its a marathon that is going to have ups and downs and the focus should be on the overall health of the patient. My disappointing experiences now have me looking for another doctor to work with on my long-term weightless goals.

This was the best medical care I have ever received. From day one they treat you with such respect and dedication. I had my surgery yesterday and everyone was so incredibly nice and knowledge. They were not only kind to me but also kind to my mother who stayed with me. Dont go anywhere else. They are the best and it is clear why.

Where to begin, I can give 5 stars for so many reason, beginning with the seminar. I was so nervous that day, felt ashamed and guilty for being at a point that I needed help. That shame and guilt was short lived, the Doctors were there explaining the journey from start to finish and they didn’t sugarcoat anything. From that point on I was set up with an amazing case manager, actually an entire team. They took care of everything, especially me. This is an amazing place! They treat you like a normal person and have your best interest at heart They take their time to listen to you and don’t make you feel like your just another patient. You can ask question after question and they take their time to make sure you have all your answers.They explain whatever surgery your getting in detail with pictures. I highly recommend them. The entire process to go through bariatric surgery was so easy with the help of my case manager Gina. She was able to work with my insurance and set up all my appointments. All I had to do was show up. On the days of my surgery the doctors and nurses were amazing. Great bedside manor.

Everything is amazing at the Bariatric Center of Kansas City. I relocated to KS and was looking for a medical office to maintain my lapband but after several visits and exams I found out that my lapband had slipped and Dr Hamilton was able to guide me through the revision process. Everyone from the case workers to support staff and medical teams are all AWESOME! They provide the best care and give you great information and support throughout the process. The support groups are also very interactive and the team provides great information for pre and post operative patients. I can’t say enough about great they are and how they have completely changed my life for the better.

I was sleeved in March 2013 first picture on the left holding one of my grandson was taken a few months before surgery. The one on the right is about 6 months ago. I have to thank Dr. Hamilton and his wonderful staff I can not believe its going to be 6 years on March 23rd. Some people have asked do you have any regrets? I can honestly say.... NO I would do it all over again. A huge thank you also goes out to Ms. Whitney and her amazing nurse Lindsey for helping me keep me on track and focused to keep the weight off.

I had my first surgery 4/2016. Then I had to have a conversion 8/2017. And I am now possibly going for a third surgery. Dr Aragon and Jeff are amazing. Dr. Aragon prayed with me before every procedure even my endoscopes and that helped reassure me and reduce my anxiety. They have listened, took my chronic illnesses into consideration as to which direction we would have to go next.

I had the best experience I could have ever had! I went through about 6 months of “training” with some wonderful counselors. Every time I went to the office I was treated with such respect. I am pleased with the results of my gastric sleeve surgery. I didn’t lose as much weight as I had hoped, only 60 lbs, but I didn’t have as much to lose as some patients from the beginning, as I started off at 250 lbs. While most staff is friendly and flexible, there were some occasional communication issues when scheduling and rescheduling appointments. Overall, however, it was a great experience, and I would recommend The Bariatric Center of Kansas City to anyone seeking a healthy change.

This practice is wonderful. The office staff is very attentive, and it’s so nice to have so many types of providers in one place. I see my psychologist, nurse practitioner, surgeons PA, dietician and surgeon at the same office and usually on the same day. They have their own lab techs and PT as well. Easy location also!

I had surgery here Feb 2017 with Dr Hamilton. The entire staff was amazing!! The case manager knew exactly what to do to help me get insurance approval. I had to see the Laura the dietitian for 6 months and she is really good at her job. It went like clock work and now I am almost 2 years post op, living the best life and 108lbs down. I had sleeve surgery May 8 2017. The process took about a year to prepare for and it was worth the wait. I am completely happy with my results. The staff was amazing, helpful and compassionate. I would not change a thing. My nurses when I was in the hospital after surgery were amazing and if I could remember their names I would shout thank you from the rafters. I would not change a thing. I was completely impressed with my physician Dr. Hamilton. No, I did not see him a lot during the process. Once at initial consult and then the day of surgery but honestly It was not necessary to see him a lot given the other things you need to do before surgery. That was fine with me. Personally, I did not have a lot of medical issues when I decided to have surgery but my family has a terrible health history after 50 and at almost 400 pounds and only 35 I did not want to risk it or my future. I am down 145 pounds and I would not change a thing about my decision to have surgery. THANK YOU Bariatric Center KC. I think you essentially saved my life. My daughters and spouse thank you as well.

I received outstanding care during my surgery and aftercare in the hospital.
