I would definitely recommend Dr. MacDonald! He may be one of the most polite and empathetic physicians Ive ever visited. He genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients and will spend as much time as necessary to discuss everything the patient requires or is curious about. Most dermatologists spend just a couple minutes with you and rush off. He is very intelligent; he was the 4th doctor I visited regarding a bizarre reaction I had that no one else could diagnose. My condition progressed for 2 weeks under their care. Dr. MacDonald properly diagnosed my condition within minutes of speaking with me and within hours of treatment my symptoms finally started to reverse.

I dont usually do reviews, but Dr. MacDonald was the best dermatologist I have ever seen. Five star for sure.

I thought Dr. MacDonald is great. However, they sent my biopsy up to the University of Utah which is not covered by my insurance. I ended up with a bill close to $1000 because of that. I dont know why they would do that. Most doctors offices wont refer you to another doctor, or clinic without checking with your plan. It was a costly mistake by the office I had no control over.

Absolutely incredible experience here!! Dr. MacDonald was very professional and knowledgeable. As well as sincere and personable. He is one of the nicest doctors I’ve been to! He made me feel comfortable at my appointment, and was respectful of my concerns/questions. He didn’t rush the appointment at all, took the time to answer any questions and inform me the knowledge behind any answer. Very thorough and kind. You can tell he is passionate about what he does and helping others. I would highly recommend him to everyone without a doubt!

Dr. MacDonald and his nurse were incredible. Ive never experienced a shorter and simpler waiting room and check in process. Dr. MacDonald was extremely thorough and efficient at the same time. He and his nurse cared about me and was interested in getting to know me and my concerns better. Then once he had all the info he needed, he took the time to explain the resolution to me in a way that made sense and was easy to understand. All my dermatology concerns are resolved and their office notified me of my results and its only been two days since my visit. Outstanding experience. Will be sending everyone I can to them. I choose Dr. McDonald at random and could not have been more pleased. He listened carefully and helped to solve and answer all my questions and concerns. He was friendly and easy going as well as knowledgeable. He clearly knew the answers and was able to easily and quickly address all my reasons for the visit.

Five stars! Dr. McDonald is exceptional, kind, personable and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. Because he spends much of his time diagnosing patient biopsies from other dermatologists, he really knows what hes doing. Youll think of him as one of your good friends.

Dr. James MacDonald is a great person, and doctor. He always takes the time to attend to all my worries, and I have never felt rushed out of the room. No superlatives (remarkable, outstanding, excellent, magnificent) could accurately describe his charisma, friendliness and empathy. You go Dr. Jim! Putting back the care in healthcare :)

I had melonoma removed from my leg this morning and Dr McDonald was SO awesome! I was extremely nervous when they called me and told me I would need to have surgery- especially this morning.But he was so great at explaining the process to us, cheering me on through the surgery and just taking his time with us all the way around and answering my million questions. I didn’t feel rushed with him at all.My husband and i walked out saying to each other he was the nicest person we have ever met! So knowledgeable and kind!

It was such experience to go and get two questionable bumps removed from my face and a precancerous spot froze off! It was an amazing experience. It was the first time that a doctor has come in while the nurse is still filling out paperwork. I had been going to another dermatologist in Orem that made me feel as though I wasnt worth his time since I am not a model. I wasted years and was uncomfortable the entire time. Dr McDonald spent the time took a couple biopsies which wasnt my favorite part of the day- but he got to the bottom of my issue I have been extremely comfortable the last couple of weeks. He should teach seminars on how the doctor to patient relationship should be. I would highly reccomend him.

I was extremely impressed with Dr Macdonald. He was so patient in answering all of my questions and checking everything that I was concerned about. He called me with biopsy results so quickly, which was such a relief. He was incredibly knowledgable, friendly, and had the best bedside manner of any doctor Ive ever seen. Dr. Macdonald is great! He is very professional and seems to really care about his patients. We always have a good experience going there. The reason I gave a 4 star rating is there is one of his office staff that is kind of snotty. She was rude to my wife and myself on separate occasions. I wouldnt hesitate recommending Dr. Macdonald, just be prepared to potentially deal with an ornery receptionist.

I went in. It was super efficient and quick. We had several appointments to figure out what worked for me, and after finding something I get to just reorder the same prescription and its wonderful.
