Ive been going to Loudoun Dental Smiles for several years, and the whole team there is wonderful! Its the kind of dental practice where everyone makes the effort to treat the patients as human beings, not just case numbers. And they bend over backwards to help, even when the patient is the one who messes up the date of her appointment. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Beth was super flexible and kind in squeezing me in this morning when I showed up on the wrong day. I really appreciate it!!

Without hesitation I was whisked in x-rays updated, treatment plan continued painlessly! I was suffering from a toothache and at 745am I made an appointment online through their website. 5 minutes later, I got a call from Geri confirming my appointment, they dont open until 8am. She was very helpful and compassionate. I was a little bit hesitant that my insurance might not cover my visit since I just had my routine cleaning this past May with another dentist. She assured me that she will call my insurance and verify my coverage. When I arrive at my appointment, I was greeted by Geri and though she had her mask on, the warmth in the sound of her voice was comforting. Then I met Shannon and Dr. Amer who was as nice and comforting as Geri. I have been looking for a great dental practice for a while now and I have found one! Everyone was awesome and I highly recommend this practice 😊

My daughter and I have been going to this practice for many years. Aysha has been beyond helpful with insurance, records, and paperwork. My hygienist, Erin, always does a fantastic job. We are really pleased with the service here!

Loudoun Dental Smiles has some of the best staff I have encountered over the years - from front desk to teeth cleaning crew to the doctor. I have been going to this team for about 6 years. I have since brought my husband to the team, as well as my parents who I moved to VA 2 years ago. Not only are they friendly and caring, but they have the business down. They explain what they are doing, ensure you are comfortable and pain free, and dont perform unnecessary procedures. They have corrected errors made at other dentist offices. Having two parents in their late 80s is a challenge, but not to this team. Solid professionals that serve with kindness...ok, I have to say - and a smile that you can feel through the mask! Highly recommend this team.

I dont write a lot of reviews, however I was so happy leaving today after getting a cavity filled. Wait what? Seriously, I continue to be impressed with the personal care I have received from Dr. Cowell. She is truly the best dentist I have ever had. She listens to you and goes out of her way to ensure you are comfortable and receiving only the necessary services. Further, today it was the customer service from the front desk that made me think abut writing this review. Usually, the money and insurance side of things are the most annoying. Geri was a true professional helping me understand my options and taking the time to research things versus the typical here is your bill and out you go approach. First class dentistry all the way! Highly recommend.

I’ve been in dental since I was 18, so I know a good dentist when I see one and Dr. Howard is great. I had orthodontics when I was younger that left me with major issues from my bite to root resorption. I’ve seen a few dentist from moving and each one has always offered to fix everything which can come with its own consequences (like loosing my teeth completely) and I’m just not willing to take that risk. Dr. Howard is the first dentist who I feel like has genuinely listened to me and my fears. Sometimes you don’t need a “I can fix everything dentist” you just need a dentist who reassures you and listens to you.

It is always pleasant going to Loudoun Dental Smiles. The staff is welcoming, happy and glad to see me. They take the necessary steps to make me feel safe during this time of Covid. Dr. Cowell is incredible. She genuinely tries to help with the perfect dental plan. I would highly recommend anyone to go there.

Dr. Cowell and Dental Assistant Rachel were wonderful. I am a very nervous dental patient and they made every effort to make me comfortable and allay my fears. Although, I was under the effects of nitrous oxide, they carefully went over each step of the procedure at my request. The procedure was a long one, but I was assured that if I needed a break, I could take one (I didnt). I was given all the time I needed to be comfortable with leaving the office. I wouldnt want another dentist than Dr. Cowell.

After moving to the area, I chose Loudoun Dental Smiles based on all of the positive reviews I had read. Im so glad I did! From my initial call through my first appointment, I had a very pleasant experience. Everyone was so kind and my examination was very thorough, more comprehensive than Ive had at other practices. They really tailor your treatment plan to exactly what you need, not just what the average person needs. I will be back in 6 months!

Usually not a fan of doctors or dentists, but Loudoun Dental Smiles went above and beyond during my first visit to ensure my comfort level was reached and that all of my questions were adequately answered. Dental Assistant Rachel was in her bag. She was phenomenal right from the moment I stepped into the office. Her patience, expertise and hospitality were exceptional.

This place is awesome! Everyone is super nice and gives you lots of information about everything they’re doing. Have a great membership plan for those without dental insurance which covers a lot of what you’ll need! Definitely recommend!

Easily the best dentist I have ever been to.Everyone is exceedingly friendly, and excellent at their job.

Staff attentive and courteous, showed concern and interest. Dentist the same. I’ve had similar procedure in elsewhere so have the advantage of professional comparison and as a layman I view today’s experience as thorough and professional. Dentist explained process and expected outcome well. Completed the visit with an overall assessment of my teeth and observed issues. Comments viewed as professional and as a good marketing pitch. Not sure X-rays were necessary to install (reinstall) a failed Maryland bridge install. However, understand the needs of operating a business and not having any information on a new patient. Appreciate the time and professionalism of the dentist and staff. Additional comment: after close self examination of bridge placement I don’t think the wing on the right side (behind front tooth) is properly placed in the grooved pocket behind the tooth. Visually the tooth is too high in alignment with adjacent teeth. I can feel the upper edge of the wing with my tongue and know it’s not in the same location as when bridge was secure. I don’t have the lower tooth putting pressure on the left bridge wing so that is good. Overall I think the right side wing is riding above the grove fit and therefore will have upward pressure on the bonding material and may fail. The wing needs to be in perfect attitude with the grove in the tooth to receive support from the upper grove edge and enable the bridge to accept the pressure that will be placed on the bridge from chewing. The bridge snapped into proper placement on the dry run but I think the bonding material may have caused the wing to slip up out of the groove and prevented the wing from descending below the upper edge of the groove.

This was my first visit as a new patient. I had a great experience. I really like the hygienist Dana I had. She was friendly and did a really good cleaning. The doctor was also very nice and I feel I received excellent care. The COVID office procedures they follow made me feel safe at my visit.

Today was my first visit. I was so very impressed from a-z. Yes we all are following new Covid restrictions. They made my experience seamless. The communication was amazing. I knew where and when to be someplace. Never crossed path with another patient. Every staff member had joy in what they did and that is hard in this new norm. The staff was fun and professional. I always thought going to the Dentist as a dreaded experience but no more. Dr. Cowell and be her staff should be very proud. Great Job!!!

Dr. Cowell and her assistants Liz and Beth are AMAZING! I have been scared of the dentist for 22 years and I mean petrified, crying, shaking, cranky to everyone I’m around but this filling was the best experience I have EVER had with any dentistry, period. They helped me calm myself, explained everything, they were quick and efficient and honest even when they knew I may not want to hear it. Even when I wasn’t sure if I wanted them to walk me through it or not, they felt me out and listened and worked me through it, which it turns out, I prefer! And I wouldn’t have known any of that if it weren’t for them. I am actually looking forward to going back, they are making my mouth beautiful again, and making me excited to do so. I even forgot my chapstick and they gave me a mini one to use and keep! I truly can not speak highly enough, or tell enough people how grateful I am. I have found my forever dentist!!

Dr. Cowell and the staff at Loudoun Dental Smiles are wonderful!I came in with a tooth ache and sore gums. They provided a thorough exam of my teeth and answered all of my many questions in a very friendly and caring manner. The issue has not yet been resolved but I am more at ease now after meeting with her and discussing how we will find out the extent of the problem(s).

I had Erin as my hygienist, and she absolutely amazing! I would recommend asking for her! They have new technology for taking x-rays that make it quick and easy. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. All the paperwork can be done ahead of time or before your appointment on a tablet. Evening and morning appointments fill up fast so I was going to have to wait until September for an appointment that worked with my schedule, but they put me on a call list for when other people cancel their appointments and I was called within about a week.

Loudoun Dental Smiles is the best dental practice Ive ever been to. My whole family goes to here and we always talk about how much we love the family feel. The front desk staff is welcoming, kind and greet everyone with a honest familiarity. Erin is our favorite hygienist but our family has seen many and all are gentile and knowledgeable. I never feel judged (bad flosser here) or hurt after cleanings. I chipped one of my front teeth and Dr. Cowell did the best filling Ive ever had, the color match is so perfect and the repair is seamless. Its clear that Dr. Cowell and her staff have an enormous amount of respect for each other and truly enjoy what they do, that is reflected in the jovial atmosphere and genuine care that they give.

I had a great experience here. I had lapsed in my dental work for a few years and came in to zero judgement and very gentle handling! Everyone was always smiling and very reassuring. Theyre very transparent and will take time to explain each step of any process to you. You wont be told you need a procedure without being shown pictures and x-rays to prove it. Theres no pushiness, I really felt in control of every decision that was made. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I love this dental office. They’re professional, friendly and always HAPPY! I always know I’m in good hands with my dental hygienist, and the owner of the practice even comes to check out your teeth when they’re done with the cleaning. It has a “small town feel”, where everyone knows your name.I have sensitive teeth and they’re very gentle with my cleanings, they don’t try to talk to you with their hands in your mouth and the BEST part is they’re not messy with the water. You know what I’m talking about...when it’s time to rinse and the water is on full blast so you leave with a freshly showered face? Not here! Especially important if you have somewhere to be after your visit, and smudged makeup would not have you looking your best.I’m so glad I found this office!

The staff and Drs Cowell and Howard have been great with my dental care. Very attentive and good work in color matching fillings and crowns. One of my least favorite things to do is go to the Dentist, and I expressed that the first time I visited this practice. The assistants are amazing! They are very kind and talk me through the visit so I feel more at ease. Dr. Cowell is AWESOME! She also makes sure to keep me updated on where we are and tries to make the visit as easy as possible knowing how much anxiety it gives me. I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for a kind staff that takes your fear of the dentist seriously, and helps you through each visit.

Dr. Grover is awesome and very professional. Everyone is very nice from the front desk to the back office. Our kids love going the dentist because of how comfortable and relaxing they make them feel. There is a playroom for the children to play while they wait for they are turn or while they wait for their parents. All of us have a great experience and we love that there is not long wait. Absolutely the best dentist Ive ever been to! Ive never waited very long to be seen. Beautiful office, friendliest staff ever from receptionists to assistants, and incredibly honest, caring, and skilled dentists. I had a dentist in Alexandria tell me I needed fillings in all my molars due to cavities. They lied! Thankfully I went with my gut (Ive had like two cavities my whole life) and didnt go forward with it. After we moved out here, LDS confirmed my gut. No cavities! They also made a double root canal a very easy experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality dentist!

I think they do too many fillings and repairs that dont need to be done. Noone can understand some of the techs, so they can say things to make you think you need work done. I will consider looking elsewhere for dental treatment even though I love their hours and availability.
