I was terrified about leaving planet fitness because I was so comfortable there but I got bored and I lost interest in my fitness journey. Few months later I hated how I felt so I tried again same thing I was getting bored. The first time I stepped into Sports village felt overwhelming, like I didn’t belong but as I began my tour I fell in love. They have so much to offer!! And the price super affordable and definitely worth it. I have never been so motivated about staying active and I’m writing this review a month later. The staff AMAZING!! The classes are great! The equipment intimidating but I’m learning, but they have everything planet fitness has that I’m familiar with but they offer way more variety! Very spacious which I love! I’ve been doing some training sessions with Kristen Stevens and I’ve loved it! She’s awesome! She answers my questions, she corrects my form, and she’s extremely easy to get along with. Even the people who work out the gym have been so nice. I found my home, I’m very happy and I haven’t gotten bored once.

I was really excited and overall I like the facility but they are getting one star rating because of a single member of their staff named Janet. I was in the indoor pool and was going to take her water fitness class but I was kinda on the outskirts so if I couldnt do it I could leave fast and she started talking about how the pool was going to close for the class which is fine, but I was trying to tell her that I was there to try out the class and instead she kept talking about the pool closing for the class, basically making me feel like I wouldnt be welcome and my fitness journey has been a struggle as it is because I feel fat already so her making me feel like I wasnt welcome to be there for her class was not appreciated nor did I feel it was appropriate.

Just called to ask about membership prices.Full time undergrad student. But I’m over 24 so don’t qualify for a student discount. I don’t know why anyone theoretically should qualify for a student discount if they are not a student.2. Wanted to sign one year membership. Didn’t mention until I asked about monthly rate of $75 for no contract. We are moving in three months. Don’t wanna sign a contact. In general they just don’t seem to offer much flexibility for students or people who travel/consulting work for a few months in places. I would not join based on this. I’m happy paying in full three months up front. I guess this isn’t an option?

I really love this gym freindly, helpful and very respectful polite employees. I have nothing but good times and good thing to say about the Sports Village. And its not expsnsive. My only complaint is the mens bathroom is closed for remodeling, but thats for improvements. And im sure it will be awesome when they are done.Thank You!!Brandon S White

So far, our experience has been pretty good. It does seem a bit pricey, but I suppose it depends on how much you utilize the facility. We used to belong to a YMCA and had to pay for classes offered, but at Sports Village, the classes that my wife likes to go to are included. With the classes, the results have been mixed. My wife likes some classes and instructors better than others.Much of their equipment does seem dated and some of it seems like it was pieced together as some of the other reviews would state, but this doesnt bother me as much. The equipment all works which is the main thing to me.They offer the childcare services certain hours of the day as well as an area for older kids to hang out or activities for older kids after school. My son has gone there a few times and enjoyed it and weve enjoyed the outdoor pool.We havent really had any issues so I cant speak for management like other user reviews have but I have met a trainer, Andy, and liked working with him. My wife has worked with Andy as a personal trainer and several instructors in her classes and I think we both agree that the staff here is pleasant to deal with.Could some of the machines and weights be updated? Probably, but a 50lb weight is a 50lb weight to me. All in all, we enjoy going here and the hours of operation are reasonable.

Love this place. Staff is always courteous and helpful, if need be. Keep it up guys.1 suggestion.... let’s work on making this facility 24hrs. That would be great!! I either workout late in the evening or extremely early in the morning. A local 24hr fitness facility in this area would be great.

They offer a variety of classes for everyone. Knowledgeable trainers such as Courtney, Corey and LC that encourage you and provide challenging classes. Trainers are great about showing modifications for those who are unable to perform those exercises for various reasons. My kids enjoy it as well!

Should have kept the old steam room. Was costing them too much money. New steam room isn’t enough steam. I barely sweared and stayed in there 20 min. At the ymca in green hills where I go you are lucky if you can stay in 10 min.

After a month and a half of membership, we notified the staff that we would like to cancel, as we did not enjoy our experience at Sports Village and would not/did not visit again. The staff froze our account and now insists on billing us for an entire year, plus an account freeze (a *grand* total of $1004.80 for 49 days). The manager saw nothing wrong with this. She decided it is fair to charge us that absurd amount for a place that we visited 15ish times and notified them that we would not be returning, displaying the classic you signed the contract attitude. However, the manager did at least give us a free entry level lecture on business overhead costs when asked if she really thought that was the right thing to do. If youve ever received a speeding ticket for going 36mph in a 35mph zone, you know how we feel. Technically speeding? Yes. Reasonable/fair/realistic/customer oriented? No. Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish.

Good gym, a lot of amenities. Showers in a clean locker room, indoor and a nice outdoor pool, tennis courts, hot tub, sauna, steam room. Weight machines and free weights downstairs, cardio upstairs with some outdated, worn out leftover weight machines. Everything seems to have been pieced together over the years with random equipment. Trainers are apparently excellent, as well as classes. Unfortunately, a nice racquetball court has been repurposed to a yoga room. Im a member and enjoy it thoroughly.

Awful, outdated facility. The trainers are nice, but unfortunately the management creates an environment where members harass people and staff does not put consumers first.Sports Village refused to correct dangerous issues with equipment & uneven floors. They acknowledged injury & risks but refused to address. In 2016, We submitted several comment cards and voiced our concerns about dangerous equipment not bolted to the ground and the integrity of the gym floor in the free weight training area. The floor is structurally unsound, uneven and in desperate need of repair and poses a serious risk of injury for anyone lifting weights. I had multiple in person and phone conversations and emails from September 24, 2016 to October 4, 2016 where we expressed concerns and inquired about fixing the dangerous floor. The manager, Jan Rubins, acknowledged the risk of injury but refused to fix the issue. While he did order new equipment, (Rogue Power Rack) it was placed on the same uneven, wooden floor and posed and even greater safety issue as it was not secured to the floor or walls. Several other gym members expressed concerns about the safety of this, but Mr. Rubins again refused to take action. My husband and I both developed hip impingements after 8 months of continual use on this floor, so we had no choice but to discontinue our membership. We were harassed and intimidated by members and management. I was completely shocked at the utter lack of customer service and awful business practices.I would like others to be aware of the unethical, rude business practices of the current management. It is completely unacceptable to deny gym members safe equipment and updated facilities.
