Ill be frank: Thanks to a recent double root canal saga and prior dental avoidance on my part, Ive been to the dentist more times over the past few months than I had over the previous 5 years. Despite the fact that the experience couldve easily been lousy—especially since Im very much afraid of the dentist!—Ive always felt well taken care of at Santavicca Dental Professionals. Dr. Shad, Chris E. and Dorothy are all exceptionally kind, encouraging, and calming people, and Chris E. is especially gifted at providing a distraction by making you laugh (before the procedure starts, of course!). Im so glad to have found this dentist!P.S. I almost forgot—the front desk staff are lovely as well!

Dr. Shad noticed that I was nervous about dental work, so he calmed me by beginning with work on only one tooth! He is a real pro, and painlessly & swiftly remedied the issue. Therefore, he gained my confidence. I am now fearlessly having other my teeth fixed. Thank you, Dr. Shad!

Like many others, I do not enjoy going to the dentist. I’ve had my fair share of negative experiences in the past and that led me neglect my teeth. Well, I finally but the bullet and googled “Lebanon NH dentists” about 3 weeks ago. Thank god I chose to call Santavicca! They scheduled me for the next week and I was super anxious. The hygienist Steve was so nice, though. And I cannot (seriously CAN NOT) recommend Dr. Almetwali enough. She didn’t shame me. She was incredibly gentle with her exam and cleaning. None of that jabbing the tool into the soft spots on my teeth or aggressive poking around.I went back yesterday to have 2 fillings. Who gets lucky enough to have a super nice hygienist and a hilarious assistant?! Thank you to Chris for putting me at ease and dealing with my awkwardness.Dr. Almetwali, though…the real MVP. She really worked hard to save my tooth so I wouldn’t need a root canal, and I don’t! (Yay!) She took her time with her work and kept me updated as she was doing everything. She even showed me my tooth with a mirror after she had drilled it out and explained to me why she thinks I need a cap. I’ve never had a dentist do something like that. This is a person who clearly cares very much about the quality of her work and the comfort and level of understanding of her patients. I feel super lucky to have been scheduled with her and I will recommend her to everyone I know.Extra perks: Chris put on chapstick for me partway through the fillings.They hook you up with a sweet tempurpedic head rest during fillings.They let me get up to use the bathroom, too :)Thank you Steve, Chris, & Dr. Almetwali!

My first visit here was absolutely fantastic. From the office manager to the dental assistant to the dentist. Everyone was warm, professional and kind.I was told what was happening every step of the way and made comfortable with my treatment plan. Very very pleased with the service and I highly recommend. Had a broken tooth, they got me right in even though I wasnt an established patient. Did a temporary crown for a couple of weeks, while permanent one is being made. This was the most comfortable Ive felt being in a dentist chair. Extremely patient, quick but thorough, super nice staff! Needless to say Im becoming a patient! Highly recommend!!

Everyone at Santavicca Dental are wonderful! I went in for my new patient visit last week, they were organized, had my previous dental records ready, answered all my questions, great customer service , made sure I was comfortable, and much more. Everyone was friendly and professional. Felt like I had been a patient for many years from the moment I walked in, very easy to schedule appointments, very well organized group that all work really well together! I had a really good time at Santavicca Dental today! This was my first visit. The staff had finished my paperwork over the phone, so I was in the exam room with the X-ray technician in minutes. Once the X-rays were complete, my new dentist Vikram Shad, very gently examined my teeth and gums.I received a treatment plan from the dentist and (from the office staff) an itemized printout of potential out-of-pocket costs for that proposed treatment.I experienced great service, but much more importantly, the care was outstanding!

Dr. Shad, my dentist,, came out personally and apologetically and very professionally advised me of longer wait time. I was then treated by Amy, the dental hygienist, with the gentlest and softest touch imaginable! I would not have expected such a positive dental experience. Kudos!!!

I had a great experience as a new patient at Santavicca Dental Professionals. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Shad was very personable when it came to gathering patient background and dental goals and concerns. Dorothy was very friendly and accommodating to my needs while taking my X-Rays. I needed a filling replaced, and the whole experience was very painless and efficient. There were three people that I interacted with. Devan at the front desk was very proactive with resolving an issue that arose with my insurance only moments after booking my appointment online, and struck a perfect balance between friendly and businesslike professionalism. Dr. Shad was pleasant and did an excellent job with the filling. My teeth have some unusual alignment issues that my previous dentist of 10 years had never been able to figure out, but in just minutes Dr. Shad was able to shape the filling perfectly so that it did not interfere with my bite. The assistant was very nice to talk to as well. I cant speak to the rest of the staff, but i had an excellent experience and will be returning for sure.

I went in today for a procedure with Elisia, and she was by far the best hygienist Ive ever had. She explained every step of the process and was very thorough. The office staff was great and I am glad I made the switch to this office.

Ive had serious reactions to local anesthetics in the past and was told I should have sedation for future dental appointments. That was in 2008. Today I saw Dr. Santavicca, her assistant Steven and the x-ray technician. The exam was very thorough and everything was explained to me step by step. Next week I see the oral surgeon and go from there. I am definitely looking forward to future dental visits!

My 16 year old daughter went and saw Dr Santavicca for the first time. She does not like the dentist and was quite nervous about this appointment. We were told great things about this dentist by my sister and she referred us to her. They were very thorough with her and my daughter said she really likes them!Unfortunately they do not take VT Medicaid and the office manager is so amazing so she went through each thing my daughter needs done, how much it would cost. Talked to me about my options and listened to my concerns intently. I wish we could keep going there, but because of our new insurance, we just can’t afford the out of pocket expenses.The reason I am giving four stars is because I had one issue, their receptionist Nick was not professional. The day of my daughters appointment I received a phone call from him stating in a tone like he was quite annoyed and stearn saying he has tried to reach me several times and wanted to know if I was coming to the appointment today. First off, I never received any confirmation voicemail, email or text from this gentleman wanting to confirm this appointment. If I did, I would’ve have called. I’m one that does NOT like missing appointments and am usually 10 minutes early. This situation bothered me because one, the way he spoke to me, I was taken back by it, quite surprised. And two, it brought back memories of how I was treated by another receptionist at another dental office when I had a legit medical emergency and was in the ER at the time and my two youngest daughters were wrote off from that practice because of the no show and when I called to explain this I was treated disrespectfully by that receptionist there.I was in this field of work for many years. You don’t talk to clients, customers, patients like that. You are there to HELP THEM. You are their first line of contact to their main resource, it is very important to be respectful no matter what the circumstance and be understanding to all possible avenues.After having this one call from their receptionist Nick it proves this gentleman needs to have more training on customer service.So, because of the problem with the receptionist that I spoke with and knowing how I should’ve been treated, I can only give four stars. But, other than that, the Dr, Manager and Nurse that took my daughter in were wonderful! Not one problem there!

The best dental office! I have never walked away feeling 100% cared for like I have with Santavicca Dental. They focus on whole health. I have a medical condition that required dental clearance and no corners were cut here. They are thorough and genuinely Care.My 6 year old daughter loves coming here! And so do i!

Shouldn’t even get “a” star. Blamed pushing an appointment I made for a filling that fell out and tried to blame me for not confirming and appointment I had made 3 weeks prior. Then I find out the Dr was not available and was at an “emergency” the truth comes out. Oh and don’t forget blaming COVID 19 to do a prescreen! Customer service was garbage. Probably should have stopped going there after DR Gupta left months ago.

Appointment was for wisdom teeth removal. Quick appointment, friendly staff, clean office, parking lot is a bit small but overall experience was very positive. Dr. Gass and his staff were extremely quick and very efficient. Procedure was pain free yesterday and no pain today!

Our son has Fragile X Syndrome and is a new patient. He is a young adult and has many dental challenges in addition to extraordinary cognitive and sensory challenges. He must receive all dental work under anesthesia. This was just an introduction, but I cannot say enough about the perfect blend of professionalism, skill and gentle kindness that exudes from every pore of this practice from Dr. Santavicca to the anesthesiologist Dr. Williams, to the office manager and staff. For the first time in 24 years, our son had the intensive care he needed for his treatment and next steps for lifelong care. My husband, who is a physician, and I are beyond appreciative for this successful introduction.

On the surface, very nice people. As a doctor (not dentist) who works with many dentists in the operating room, I was very upset to see how this practice was run. I was charged for many services which I explicitly stated I would not want as I was not seeking cosmetic or extra care but rather the standard 6 month cleaning. Regardless, they proceeded to take unnecessary photographs, attempt to refer me to an orthodontist for invisalign vs. braces, charged me for a SRP/deep clean despite probe depths of 2 on average. Of course insurance declined payment to them, so they attempted to pass this on to the customer and send progressively more threatening letters to collect. Their estimate of what I would pay vs. the insurance was off by a factor of 5! I have not paid for any dental cleanings or procedures since I was 18, all with the same insurance. Coming here, somehow I got a large bill for the first time ever. Reviewing the EOB letter, they failed to submit proper documentation for a history of SRP so insurance declined reimbursement. Instead of doing this properly, they decided to try to just collect cash from the patient. There may not be many choices in the UVP but beware and do not let these people bully you into paying for services you dont need OR they were too lazy to submit proper documentation.
