I have a mixed review. The gal who did my facial was amazing. I would give her 20 stars if it were possible. My hot stone massage was subpar. The massage was not symmetrical, meaning what the masseuse did on one side, she didnt do on the other. My bed warmer was never turned on. I added a foot treatment and that wasnt great. I really felt like my money was wasted. Very amateurish massage. Also they stopped early. I paid for 1hr and got 40 minutes. I also requested that mask be worn and the gal who did my massage walking in without a mask and didnt put on a mask during my appointment. I will definitely go back for a facial but never a massage.

Allie was very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She was very thorough and explained everything that she was doing clearly. It was a very pleasant experience. Allie definitely made me feel welcome and comfortable.

I have been a member here for about 3 years I think . I tried several massage therapist. Found one I really liked (she did deep tissue and did it really well ) she left. I tried a few more and found the one I see now . His name is Ricco and he is simply the BEST!

I always have an excellent experience at Hand and Stone. I suffer from seasonal allergies and the mini cold stone facial along with Nadvish focusing on my sinuses is a great relief. The staff is friendly and there is nothing better than carving out time for a treatment .

This was my first time ever getting a massage and Tiana was great! She made me feel comfortable and checked in to make sure that everything was good throughout the massage. I’ve never been so relaxed in my life.

The spa was clean, but the Relaxation room needs some attention, all the upholstery on the chairs need replacing! The lady I had was suppose to be a deep tissue massage specialist, she put super hot rocks on me twice and it was suppose to be an hour it was more like 42-45 minutes…the music was annoying… normally my masseuse will be outside with a cup of water, I never saw her again.. so if you want a mediocre massage this is the place to go, overpriced and no ambience

I always have a wonderful experience at Hand and Stone Leawood. My latest service was a back facial. My back feels much better. It’s a service few places offer so I’m glad Hand and Stone has it on the services menu.

Dont try to purchase a gift card they make it very difficult. When my friend who I purchased the gift card they humiliated her for trying to use it. It was a gift they made it a nightmare. So unprofessional.

The receptionist were friendly and professional however, the girl that I had did not do the type of massage I payed for. I went with two other friends and hearing their experience compared to mine, I for sure I did not get what I payed for. I had scheduled a deep tissue massage and was even asked which areas had tension and I showed her. She however did just a regular very light massage. I initially thought she was just getting me prepared for deeper massage as time went but by the time I realize she did not know what she was doing, she had already moved on to different parts. Each time I thought she was catching on to what a deep massage is, she would move on and not relief the tension correctly. She also touched my hair with very oily hands which I did not appreciate. Ive had massage before and this was very poorly done. Both of my friends had an amazing experience compared to mine and left really relaxed on the contrary I did not and was very disappointed.

Extremely disappointed. I bought a hour Himalayan salt message with foot, hand, and scalp add-ons for $140 (introductory pricing) for a birthday present for my fiancée, and she was not happy at all. I was so disappointed that she did not enjoy the experience. The hour long message was more like 45-50 mins, felt rushed, and was dejected. The hand and foot add-ons ($30) was the staff putting salt rub onto hands and feet for 1 min each and some lotion. Not worth the money, at all. Nothing special. The scalp message ($15) lasted maybe 5 mins, and was dismal at best. The ratings for this on Google is just plain WRONG. I dont give 1 star unless its bad, and it was bad. The front desk staff was nice, so there is a bright point, but nothing to do with the service of message. They tried to push the membership, but we were nice enough to keep our mouth shut and just say no. She has gotten better messages for $50 off Groupon. Seriously. Dont waste your time or money on this*Update* The manager made zero attempt to really call me back. I called, and she was out of the office already. I think she called back once, but I work for a living at a hospital, so I was unable to answer the phone. Thats the last I heard from them. Still, nothing will ever have me go back, and Ill never recommend this place/company to anyone else, and if a person is going, Ill recommend a better place/company.

I went there and had a facial from Andrea. She is an incredible person and loved her energy. But quickly after the facial my face began to swell to badly that I ended up in the hospital. I had swollen lymph nodes along with a staph infection. I strongly suggest not going to this place after that experience. The manager was unwilling to simply give me my money back and was very rude. Overall terrible experience besides the fact that Andrea was a wonderful person.

I didnt realize just how badly I needed a massage until after my hour long deep tissue massage. In fairness I havent had a massage in over 5 years. So I had a lovely therapist whos name I cannot remember and she probably got rid of 2 years of that 5 year build up of stress. She also gave me a peppermint scalp treatment and the room smelled of soothing lavender. It has been a month since I have been there and I have had minimal back pain since I went. They even after the massage noticed that my problems were of a chronic nature and gave me tips for stretching twice a day in the morning and at night they went above and beyond to make me feel like a valued guest and boy did I ever feel at home so much so I got a membership before I left so yes Ill be back again and cannot reccomend this place enough.

Although there has been some miscommunication with bookings, my massages are always good. I can usually get in within 24 hours of calling.

I have been a member to Leawood Hand and Stone for over a year. the membership is so worth it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, as is the website which allows online booking. I have been to every therapist, and they are all amazing. I also get my facials there too. the girls who do the facials are very informative and not just there to push products.

I saw Ali and he was amazing! Perfect pressure the whole time, the atmosphere was very relaxing and everything was so comfortable. 15/10 would recommend this parlor and especially Ali!!

Excellent facility, very inviting space for a rejuvenating spa experience. One of the best hot stone massage Ive had in the country (I travel a lot around the country for work)! Times are tough for the industry but everyone did their best to be warm and welcoming. They do monthly packages that they do try to cold sell them at the end of the massage session, which can feel somewhat abrupt if you had not come in expecting a sales pitch. Other than that, a 5-star experience!

Good customer service at the front desk, but the massage wasn’t good. After massage they leave oil for you to wipe yourself, this is the first time I’ve experienced this. Also I paid for an hour massage, even a minute matters to me, she finished 10 minutes earlier. I absolutely would not recommend this place, if you want a good massage.

Booked my girl a massage here, since I am working out of town as a treat. Provided them with them my credit card information over the phone for the services, with an understanding that for the day, she could receive whatever services she wanted. She enjoyed the services and was considering another treatment. When she discussed their availability, she informed them that they would need to reach out to me as the responsible financial party, as it was a gift. They tried to sell her a membership, which she also deferred to me for the decision. This company took it upon themselves to book her for another massage at that time and reached out to me afterwards to confirm. I told them I was not booking her for another treatment, nor was I interested in the membership, but I would review it if they emailed the information to me, along with the receipt for the services provided, which I had asked them to do at the time I booked the appointment and they said they were more than happy to provide. Never did they send me the receipt, nor the membership information, and to top things off this company chose to bill me for a no-show for her tentative appointment, with the explicit understanding that we were not scheduling another appointment. After receiving the charge on my credit card I called to discuss the matter with the manager, and was told someone would call me, which nobody did. I called back and was transferred to the manager, at which time was told that the chain of events I described never happened, that my girl told them she was just going to go ahead and come on the appointment time and to bill my card, and that its not their business practice to confirm with the individual that scheduled the initial visit and was paying for the services to be notified. This manager not only insulted my girl and myself by suggesting we were lying, and that my girl would be that disrespectful to our finances and the honesty in our relationship was appalling! She refused to refund me the charges for the services not provided and was absolutely the rudest manager of a customer service facility that I have encountered in a very long time! While the massage was terrific according to my girl, the way the rest of this was handled is extremely shady!!! She still hasnt emailed me any of the receipts for charges they hit me with! To add to the insult she told me I would have to fight them for my refund!!! So here is my first step in this battle!!! Consumers beware!!!

The front desk is very welcoming and professional. Anna is amazing at working out all of my tension. I totally recommend the hot stones. It is like a miracle upgrade. I enjoy my visits every time I come.

The reception staff was very welcoming. I was having a 1 hr Swedish massage and a 1 hr hot stone massage. Lisa took the time to recommend having the hot stone massage first to relax the muscles. That was very helpful. I enjoyed the Swedish massage and could feel the stress melt away. I had a great 2 hr massage by CiCi. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I would have liked to have had my hips, glutes, and face massaged. Other than that it was a fantastic experience.

I have gotten several massages at Hand and Stone. Almost all my massages were done by one person, ut once it was someone else. The massages I get from the first person are all done professionally an I always leave relaxed with all my muscle tension gone. The only time I had one without my regular person, I left leaving no different than when I arrived. So I think it depends on who you get as to whether you have a good experience or not. Overall I would give this place a thumbs up. 👍

This place is nice for going on occasional visits. They offer a plan where you pay $60 a month to get a credit for one service each month and its a scam. If you do not use the appointments they will add up and they will keep charging you no matter how many you build up. If you cancel your account you will lose everything you have already paid for. You are supposed to be able to transfer them to other people but when I tried it they still charged my sister for the full service amount on top of using my credits. I felt scammed after dealing with this place and I definitely will never go back.

I was surprising my husband with a massage at Hand and Stone Massage. I called the day before to make sure payment was taken care of. They assured me my credit card will be charged once he arrives. Once my husband arrived the day of his appointment, they let him know it is not possible to charge the credit card because the credit card information is no longer available. Yet, I called the day before and asked if I needed to come into the spa to pay.When I called to complain, their excuse was that new procedures with Covid-19 has them behind when it comes to calling people ahead of time to let them know about their credit card information. STOP Making excuses and hold yourselves accountable for not doing the job.Plus, the deep tissue massage was NOT GOOD.

Called to say I was there for an appointment, as instructed by the sign on front door. After being told to go ahead and come in. I walked in with the girls at front desk rushing to put their masks back on. They lacked a level of professionalism and responsibility that was promised by the website. I felt comfortable with this establishments caution for covid-19 by their website. This confidence faded as I walked in the door.

Wonderful ladies at the front desk/reception! Very sweet massage therapist but, being a massage therapist I received a very text book swedish/surface massage when I said I like a very firm and detailed massage, as far as finding knots and using elbows etc to release.Also you advertise a 1 hour massage and only do 50 minutes. When I asked why the ladies at the front desk said 10 minutes are allowed for undressing and dressing. This is a very deceptive practice in my opinion. When I advertise or tell someone they are paying for an hour massage, they get an hour hands on. If you are providing 50 mins then advertise as such, dont say 1 hour because it is not a 1 hour massage as stated on your website.

I received a facial for this place as birthday present. The woman helping me at the front desk was super helpful and even managed to sell me on signing up for their monthly membership. The esthetician was good however she didn’t even try and up sell anything and I was willing to spend a little money. I will definitely be going back and excited to try different things.

Hand and Stone is affordable. The facials are awesome. Every step and product benefit is explained along the way. It is a time of relaxation and I leave with toned and firmer skin. I recommend it to all my friends.

I had an excellent massage in a very professional environment. I was also able to get a same day appointment. I have fibromyalgia and have trouble with muscle holding patterns, you cannot rub them out like a knot without causing more damage. You have to coax them into relaxation which takes both your efforts and the therapists knowledge. I was very pleased to leave without any problems.

The front desk staff was cordial. However things went downhill from there. We were taken to the quiet room which had dirty carpets and a table with a peeling finish. The decor was plain and unimpressive. Then the therapists came to get us. Neither therapist introduced themselves.It began with the lack of introductions. While in the room I asked for focus on my neck, shoulders and back. My back was massaged for a couple of minutes, with no clear routine. My arms and legs were compressed and pinched, with barely an touching of my hands. When she started on my neck I looked at the clock, noticing there were 20 minutes left in the massage. She spent the next 20 minutes on my neck, massaging the back of my neck and only the left side. There was no scalp massage or face massage. I didn’t feel relaxed afterwards I felt bruised and hurt.When we checked out we were told that we would no longer qualify for the introductory rate of $59.95, unless we purchased a membership. I understand that however, then why $219 for a couples massage.It was a total rip-off, and not worth the time or money. A better massage can be gotten at a massage school or other spas, that have more qualified therapists and environment.

This was my first professional massage and the experience was truly amazing!! The front office staff was so polite and answered all my questions and my massage therapist Naomi is highly recommended!! I received a full body massage with and upgraded Himalayan salt stone massage and I will surely go back for more!!

Things were grossly mismanaged! I had to pay for my service. A manager or someone contacted my wife. Who got me the appointment. This person suggested that we give our card info so she can recredit my card and charge my wifes card. FOOLISH suggestion! Then tried to us the Civid-19 trump card, not knowing who mt wife was.... I wouldnt recommend this place at all. I wont ever return. Terrible communication!

I had 1 massage March 2020. Massage was great but I was very surprised I was charged a monthly fee during the Covid-19 stay at home months. My gym suspended monthly payments while they were closed but Hand and Stone said they have too many members, +1500, to do that.

I have been getting massages and facials from Hand & Stone for a couple years now. They have several really great therapists to choose from and a lot of add-ons to choose from.

Friendly and kind staff. I especially love going to see AJ for my monthly facial. She makes me feel super relaxed, comfortable, and important. She listens to my skin care needs and customizes each experience accordingly. I leave feeling refreshed and with glowing skin! I cannot thank AJ enough for helping get my acne under control - she’s helped get me get my confidence back.

I see Alexis here for my facials, she is always extremely attentive to the needs of my skin. I battle hormonal acne so my skin is no easy task for anyone, but she has improved the texture of my skin and has given it a glow that I didn’t know it could have. She is extremely thorough and explains the treatments from start to finish that we will be using. It literally is my treat each month to come in and get my facials.. if I walk in the door having a bad day then I know I’m going to leave having a better day. I am also in love with their coconut water LOL sometimes it really is the little things that count. I’ve had massages as well and those have been great by both of the ladies that tended to me. The staff and service has been phenomenal, and I look forward to seeing them very soon in the near future! This is for sure the place to go if you’re looking to get pampered.

I went for a hot stone massage on Tuesday 2/11. The massage was good along with the therapist except that afterwards I could barely move my neck. It is now Monday 2/17 and I’m in constant pain. I called on Thursday to get advice, hoping for more, but they said to either ice it or use a heating pad and if that didn’t work then I needed to get X-rays. I’m not sure I should have to go pay for X-rays but it seems to be he only option now. Setting ups chiropractic appointment for as soon as possible but I have been working and haven’t had time and working in pain in less than ideal. I maybe would have liked them to follow up, offer money back, off a free massage if that would be something that would help. I’m sure they know what they’re doing massage-wise but I’m pretty bummed that money was basically wasted on a massage and now more needs to be spent to fix the problem. :/ Probably won’t go back unfortunately.

It was my first time at the Leawood,KS Hand and Stone location and I loved every minute of it. Lisa, at the front desk, was warm and welcoming. I enjoyed some delicious coconut water before my massage. Ana was fantastic! She made me feel comfortable telling her if the pressure needed to be adjusted. She really was able to relieve the tension and chronic pain I had been experiencing. Highly reccomend!

The ladies at the front are often not professional and when I have gone in numerous times and we go over my services, when I come out I am usually over charged for something and it takes so much time to fix and the COVID issues I have to leave with it not fixed. Promised phone calls w/resolutions and I have to call in. They often blame mistakes on COVID..... Massage was okay but she didnt want to dim lights and focused more on back side of body than anywhere else.

My therapist did an amazing job as I was hurting in alot of places! I will definitely be going back in hopes of getting myself back to normal!
