My wife when to him and she loved the nurse she listened and talked back gave he options, but of course she couldn’t do to much because she was a nurse. The last time she went to Dr. Simon’s he said that he didn’t know what to do anymore and that he would refer her to a pain management doctor, even though she said she wasn’t looking for pain meds! Bare in mind she is 24 she doesn’t want rely on pain medication, then one day get addicted to opiates. He wouldn’t listen to what she had to say, he would be back there with her maybe 5 minutes, and the rude receptionist would schedule her out for an other 2-3 months. My wife has now gone to a new rheumatologist in the city and they prescribed medicine for her and when I looked it up the medication it was for what she was going to Dr. Simon for, like why on her first appointment with her new Dr. she was able to give my wife this medication. Also my wife does hair and she has talked to her female clients about him, and they feel the same way he doesn’t believe women when they tell he what is going on!I do not recommend going to him, over all my wife was not happy with her treatment, or the way she was treated there!

Dr. Simon and his staff are an asset to our community. I used to have to drive to Elk City every time I had an appointment with my rheumatologist. I am so grateful to have such knowledgeable and caring people taking care of me. I hope they stay here for a very long time.

Dr. Simon diagnosed my son with lupus in 16 short days, which is amazing. But he and Dr. DeToit gave the run around about renewing intermittent leave for a 24 year old lupus patient. It’s a shame that Dr. D writes “defer to rheumatologist” and rheumatologist states they don’t make exceptions to fill out FMLA for anyone. Disappointed, we are forced to drive to the OKC to a rheumatologist that does fill out for $35(which is standard). New Primary care and new rheumatologist had to be sought out to remedy issue.

The doctor is nice and knowledgeable. I thought it was extreme to have to wait 2 almost 3 months for my medication to be authorized. I am thankful that Christina took my last phone call. She was very apologetic for the confusion and reassured me it would be done and it was. A true asset to his company.

I am a current patient and just want to say that this clinic is not awful the way people are making it seem. Some only post when things are bad but never when they have a good experience. I have learned that whoever answers the phone is not the receptionist, all staff answers phones. So unless you know who you are speaking to you should really stop labeling people. The receptionist is getting a bad repor and she may not be the one you are speaking with.I am thankful to have Dr. Simon and his wonderful staff locally. I needed a referral to a specialist and Christina had it completed before I called and spoke with her. If you want things done quickly and accurately call and ask for her. She is absolutely amazing and will go above and beyond to help patients, witnessed it first hand in the office with another patient.Just remember people post things when they are unhappy but forget to post the good. This physician and staff are amazing.

I have been seeing Dr. Simon for the past 6 months or so. After reading some of these reviews I must say that his staff works extremely hard to help all patients. His receptionist is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to go that extra mile to help with insurance and getting my medications. If she doesnt have the answer she always calls me back. She is the first and last person I see when going into the clinic and I appreciate having a familiar kind face. (I am a stickler when it comes to offices who have high turnover with employees, I prefer stability). Nurses always make it a point to call me back with lab results and I am grateful for that, never have to worry about the unknown or wait weeks for results like I do at my PCPs office. If you are looking for a rheumatologist with great manners who is knowledgeable and has a stable staff I would highly recommend Dr. Simon. Thank you Dr. Simon and staff for everything you do to make my visits less stressful.

The check in process was easy, and provided the nurse with most information she needed. Dr. Simon was able to schedule additional labs based on that information, plus some more info he got from me. I was very pleased with the proficiency and efficiency of the staff and nurses. Dr. Simon took his time to differentiate in laymans terms the types of arthritis I could be dealing with. I was called at each stage of testing results and informed of the findings. Im quite pleased with Dr. Simon and his office. They are a very caring and professional group.

Receptionist is very rude, always charges me a dollar more on co-pay than I am supposed to pay, then argues about it. Got a bill for $300 from another dr. who Dr. Simon referred me to. Never before have I had a dr.s admin not check to see if referral was authorized by insurance before being sent somewhere. Unfortunately, I was too sick to argue or remember to do their job for them. Dr. Simon is great and really cares so I would eat the bill, but his support staff and their snarky comments is why Ill never go back.

Every medical professional that I spoke to about Dr Simon said that he was very good. I was referred to him by my PCP. I found Dr Simon to be genuinely concerned for my health. He is kind and caring. Which is very rare in this day and time. I consider myself very lucky to be his patient. And will recommend him every chance I get!

Front desk staff are not just rude, and condescending they are liars as well. I’m not going to make this long because this time I’M LETTING YOU GO AS MY DR. thank each and everyone of your lying receptionist. All. I mean each and every interaction and phone call was recorded. Do not go here lawton you deserve better. There are several rheumatologist in the city and Edmond. The staff acts in the manner that they do because they are the only rheumatologist in lawton. Well I don’t mind the drive for proper care.

While the infusion nurses are awesome, the doctor is wishy washy, and his front office staff is rude and condescending. If you can get to a nurse, they try to be helpful, but first you must phone battle the front office phone-answerer...I dont call her a receptionist because she doesnt listen, has few manners, and barely schedules.Their compassion is underwhelming at best.##update##This bad review is the only reason I got a callback. Then while speaking with the doctor he informs me that he is not wishy-washy and that he IS aggressively treating my Anklyosing Spondylitis.I am being not-aggressively treated for Wegeners Granulomatosis aka GPA.I waited to update my review because I was very upset about this massive mistake.Yes, I do understand that the doctor has many patients, but when making the decision to call me back to discuss my complaints, I feel he should have the correct chart in front of himself. His big solution is referring me to another doctor if I am unhappy. Not discuss other options or treatment plans, refer me to another doctor. This is very discouraging and disappointing.
