Under staffed. Which made care for residents less.
Awesome place to visit. The comfort levels are very high. I can just imagine what it is like to enjoy the rest of my days in an enjoyable yet comfortable place
Could not be happier with the care my Father-In-Law received at the Lawton VA. Some of the most kind, caring staff ever. He was always happy there. We could tell the staff had a close relationship with him. I work in a long term care center and I know what to look for and know what I’m talking about. This center is a wonderful place if you have a veteran that is in need of long term care. My Father-In-Law passed away there last night after a battle with Pneumonia. The staff was very accommodating with our family but more than anything they made sure he was kept comfortable during his last few days. One more thing I would like to add, the ‘last salute’ the staff does after the passing is so moving and caring. Such a touching way to show respect to our veterans. Thank you so much for loving and caring for our loved one!
While working there I saw the good and the bad. Pet peeve: pain med seeking behavior. Its not a negative if the patient is truly in horrible pain. In other cases, the care was excellent. Good food. Expensive, but pharmacy inclusion is a huge bonus for some. Used to have an in house lab. That has been outsourced.
Always patient and professional. Thank you.
My husband has went to lot va center without getting the help he needs. but we was told about this one. they helped us alot. thankyou
