I was referred to Dr Means from an ER visit. Although that ER visit was inconclusive, they strongly believed that my diagnosis was gallstones with an obstruction. I had another ER visit just days before my appt. with Means. They were able to properly diagnose my condition, a bunch of little stones. I go to my consult and he hasnt yet seen my reports from ER. Luckily I wasnt feeling well since I was still recovering from my latest attack. He heard my side of the story and said well do surgery. He was nice, to the point, and pretty funny. If I need another general surgery, Im young back to Dr Means. I have zero complaints. I bumped into him in the elevator on my way to my followup appointment. We joked about having my appt right there lol. Hes awesome! I highly recommend Doctor Means.

My father was referred to Dr. Means for a growth on his hand. The staff was great. Was totally pleased, that is until Dr? Means came in. He took a 2 second look, stated definitively that it was a keratin growth, then proceeded to interrogate (and use that word accurately for the tenor of his comments) me, about who sent us to him. He was clearly agitated and behaved as if we were a total waste of his precious time. Now I could possibly understand some of his irritation, if it had not been accompanied by such ARROGANCE. But then came the comment about my fathers age that truly put it over the top. He stated Your 90 years old you should expect to have things growing on your skin, REALLY? He did have his staff call a dermatologist, and fortunately we were able to go right over. Dr. Hensley was AWESOME, he also stated that it was probably Basal Cell Carcinoma. Skin Cancer not keratin. If I could give less than one star I would. I wouldnt let this man touch me if I was dying. Upon leaving Dr. Hensleys office I stopped by our primary care doctors office and had them note in the computer that under no circumstance are they to ever refer us to this JACKASS WHO MASQUERADES AS A DOCTOR!! If you have family members who are seniors do not take them here. He seems to feel that after a certain age decent medical care is not necessary. After he left the room my father turned to me and asked, if he was suppose to stop going to see doctors now?

Waited over 30 minutes after seeing, Dr Means. In the office before anyone would come into the room to give me my surgery schedule. Fast forward 1 month later for my surgery I’m not even on the schedule at then the nurse made it seem like it’s my fault? Excuse me, moving my schedule around to fit this out patient surgery in took a lot of time. Then you blow me off tell April or May ( the to dates she gave me). Bad customer service. Sorry, I really like Dr. Means but that’s where it stops.

After years of suffering with acid reflux I finally got help. I had a hiatal hernia and had a Nissen fundoplication. Dr. Means and his staff were nothing short of amazing! My time in their care I felt like all of my needs were met. Thanks to them I can finally live a healthy life again!
