Matthew Neal and this hospital (the Emergency Room), is the reason I give up caring about my health and my faith in the healthcare system is completely GONE! They have one or two very amazing physicians and nurses on the payroll, unfortunately, the physicians and nurses like Matthew Neal steal the spotlight. It seems the exterior of the place has improved and looks great, but its a totally different scenario once you walk through them doors.

My mother recently had a stroke and my brother took her to the emergency Room at this hospital. When they got there no one came to help and in fact they had my brother go get the wheelchair for my mother which Im pretty sure is in their job description. By the time I got there she was laying alone in a Room on a gurney with no doctors or nurses around. It was at that moment I knew I had to get her out of this hospital considering the doctor who saw her tried to say she was just having bells Palsy and she could just go on home. I then went to the front desk to see if I could find any 1 to help and all I found were 6 to 8 people sitting up there laughing joking and talking about their lives. I demanded in an ambulance and luckly they rushed her to Murray regional and Columbia. Where the facility there saved her life because she was indeed having a stroke. I fully expect that this hospital will have a lawsuit soon considering Bart Durham is just a phone call away. I dont live in that county but I fear for anyone that goes to that hospital. This is the reason all the rural hospitals are being close because theyre so useless. Heed this warning drive further for any medical help these people here are not worried about you there simply worried about their own self and they take no care of anyone there and theyre definitely not qualified to handle any type of emergency. Good luck Hospital workers youll be looking for a new job soon and good luck doctor you may lose your license.

I would like to say my experience would have been good, but the social worker Frances Allen, was rude and showed absolutely no compassion. She was a snobby woman who obviously didnt give a dang about my mother and I was horrified by her non caring, attitude. I would also like to say that the nursing staff was very good and caring. If the hospital had a kind, compassionate social worker, I would have gave a higher rating, but its a shame that 1 bad apple spoiled the whole cart. I had heard other family members talking about this rude woman as well. Get better social workers with a sincere caring attitude. Otherwise this woman will cause u some low ratings. I would like to say again that the nursing and respiratory staff were wonderful kind and caring and I feel like they deserve a better rating, however whoever does the hiring needs to fire this social worker. She has no tact and a poor bedside manner. I now believe what I overheard others talking about, when referring to this pathetic social worker.

I had a fibroid tumor in my uterus from the late 1990s when I lived in Indiana. I had to take extraordinary measures to be able to work with the excessive bleeding. Because I had no insurance, my doctor would not help me. I moved to Lawrenceburg Tennessee in 2007. The second trip I had to make to the E.R, The doctor told me that they were admitting me and I was going to need my uterus removed. I kept reminding the doctor that i did not have insurance. And he kept telling me that it didnt matter, I was VERY sick woman. I will NEVER FORGET THIS. This doctor saved my life!!

Took my daughter to this emergency room. she had been up all night with a fever 101.2 and having breathing problems even after several nebulizer treatments with little relief we decided the ER was where she needed to be.When we arrived with masks on they took her directly back. Within 10 minutes she was sent home to wait for COVID-19 test results. She has had several respiratory issues since January. We did not go for just a COVID test. We went for treatment help. They never even took a stethoscope to her chest. No X-rays no blood nothing!!!!They never called as promised for the COVID tests. We had to call them. They never asked how she was!!What are emergency rooms for!!!Not everything is COVID related.I just thank the lord nothing happened that night. If she would have gotten worse and heaven forbid died that night. I would have sued them.

I would give this place zero or negative stars if I could. I can not speak for the other departments but do not go to the ER for anything. I went in at 6 weeks pregnant with bleeding. I waited in the ER for 4 hours (which wasnt the problem at all, I expected a long wait). I had an ultrasound done as well as blood work. My fiance has to leave to make sure someone is home for our daughter to get off the bus. The moment he leaves the nurse walks in to discharge me. So, I ask her whats going on and was everything okay? She said the Dr. Reedy should have came in and talked to you already but he hadnt. So the nurse( who was just as nice and sweet as she could be) went and got Dr. Reedy. He comes into my room with a horrible attitude and says I heard you were upset. I said No Im not upset but she was going to discharge me and you never came back and talked to me. He went on to explain that this was an ER and I was not the only patient. Okay?? Still why is the nurse discharging me when I havent heard anything from you?? He said you are having a normal pregnancy and sometimes you bleed during pregnancy. I was very upset at this point as I had no recieved any answers as to why I was bleeding or anything. So the doctor feels the need to have security called on me for raising my voice. I will never in my life set foot in this place again. Dr. Reedy is a horrible excuse for a doctor and should not be seeing patients with the attitude he has.

I fell a little over a week ago. I tend to try and wait and see if I am going to get better first before going to my doctor and this was my second visit to an emergency room in 10 years. Dr. Goldberg allowed me to talk for less than 30 seconds. I wasnt able to explain anything about what is going on with me. It takes really intensive suffering for me to break down and go to an ER. What a huge mistake. I was treated like I was just a drug seeker. I only moved to Lawrenceburg a little over a week ago and fell off the uhaul truck while moving my furniture from storage. Being barely able to walk and having to force myself to move and get my new house in order plus caring for two very spoiled, pampered little dogs who demand quite a bit of my time was taking such a toll on my body, I was worried I was going to do permanent damage and thought I would go and see why I was in such severe pain. Yet, this horrid doctor made it clear he saw me as simply someone there wanting drugs. I guess he didnt bother to check my history and see Id only been to an ER once 2 years ago, where I needed emergency surgery. Thats not the description of a drug seeker. I left with nothing and being told nothing. I followed up at Fast Pace Urgent Care, where they were compassionate and caring. They told me I had some issues with the disc in my lower back that was causing all my pain. They even helped me out with antibiotics for a respiratory infection that it turned out I also had. Dr. Goldberg didnt bother listening to me breath. He didnt bother listening at all and basically called me a liar, saying my story kept changing. What story? He saw me for under a minute! I will NEVER go back there again even if I think Im having a heart attack, I was treated so horribly. I wish I could give this place 0 stars.

I would only use lawrenceburg hospital for simple test , x rays ect.will never use ER again. Since the change over, this is the most unprofessional bunch of medical personnel I have encountered. Nurses stand at the nurses station complaining about patients (and by name and room in case you didnt know), receptionists are more worried about everything BUT their job, its awful. If you have no insurance, expect to get a bill for thousands of dollars to hear you need to go to a doctor and nothing to get done, then a big lecture about fiscal responsibility when you get ready to leave and bully tactics to get every penny you have to pay the bill under the fiscal responsibility lecture.Dad went in under a recommendation by another doctor, and at the end the nurse had to be told to move to remove the wheelchair from the room, and she hung around to ensure he had no privacy to use the bathroom. Everything done in ER was done to be as inconvenient and to let us know how much they all hated being there and the patients. Luckily HE did have insurance, I couldnt imagine how much worse this could have been.TL;DR: Unprofessional people that would rather break HIPPA laws then do their job. Go to Maury.

I just want everyone to know how terrible Southern Tennessee Regional Health in Lawrenceburg is. (Formal Crockett Hospital)I’m pretty sure I’ve slipped a disk in my back, again. I am, of course 25. I have a mile long list of issues associated with my back. When I got to the hospital, my BP was 187/74. I sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half before my body went into shock, from the pain, and then a full blown panic attack. The worst panic attack I’ve ever had. Everyone around me thought I was having a seizure. THEY STILL WOULDN’T TAKE ME BACK, as my body convulsed. My husband had to get irate for a nurse to pay any attention. That’s when I blacked out. When I finally came down, my BP was 152/124. The Lord was with me today. I have no idea how my heart didn’t give out.. (My normal BP runs around 112/64)My x-ray shows 4 vertebrae Are just stacked with no cushion. I go Monday to my Ortho to see if it is in fact slipped. What a horrible, awful hospital.I can barely walk, I can’t walk upright at all. The dr came in to tell me “you’re fine, there’s nothing broken,” I said, “ I’m well aware nothing is broken, I came in for a slipped disk” His response was “Oh well I didn’t know what was wrong with you when you were acting like that.”1) I had a massive panic attack from sitting in excruciating pain for an hour and a half. I can’t exactly control that.2) The nurse took all the information down prior to the panic attack.I said, “ So do I have a slipped disk or not?”His response was,” Probably, but we can’t give an MRI in the ER.”They prescribed me Motrin.I’m 25 years old and have a serious medical condition, therefore they’d rather judge than treat. What an awful experience.

I would give negative stars but no luck on this page. I would NEVER suggest to anyone that they go to this hospital.I have a couple of chronic (medically PROVEN) conditions, which I carry that information on me at all times. I also have chronic debilitating migraines and began having seizures a couple of years ago.Shortly after my seizures began. I was brought into the ER on my LAST visit to this hospital by EMS which despite all of my medical conditions had never been taken by ambulance before. After having suddenly lost the ability to speak coherently {I was fully aware and able to understand just not respond), vision so blurry I could not tell where walls where, the inability to walk etc. Luckily my boss was there to communicate to EMS my information, prescription list and symptoms causing her to call. It was clearly stated to ER staff the reason I was brought in by EMS.When the doctor finally came in he asked me questions and I was unable to speak clearly enough for him to understand me. He then looked at me and said Mam if you cant answer my questions I CANT HELP YOU and he left the room. After a brain scan luckily nothing was, according to him, wrong with me and I was sent home. 2 days later the same thing occurred and again was taken by ambulance but I refused to let them take me to this hospital. I am glad that I didnt because the real hospital I went to was able to be kind, understanding and help me.I have also had debilitating migraines for the last 30 years and am on an extreme regular regime of medicines to treat them. When none of my PRN prescriptions work, I HAVE to resort to an Emergency Room to receive an IV infusion of a particular medicine (non-narcotic) to abort the migraine. The ER doctors at this hospital (this has happened at this hospital for almost 20 years now) I went in requesting the drug (again of no narcotic value) and was refused it. I was NOT asking for ANY kind of pain medicine. I would then have to call my neurologist and ask him to call the ER and speak to the doctor on duty. That usually worked, however to stop having to call my neurologist to request it he actually wrote me a letter to carry with me to request the specific medicine and contact him if they had any questions. Last time I went in for a migraine, to this hospital, it again was the same old story from the ER doc and I presented him with the letter upon arrival. He then told me he had never heard of using that for migraines. I explained that I have dealt with this for years and this is the only thing that will abort one of my migraines that are this extreme. He then claimed they did not have it in the hospital however, my primary care doctor happens to be affiliated. I had expressed to him before this visit that they claimed not to have it. He assured me that he would make sure that is was in their pharmacy. When I then had to have my neurologist AND primary care doctors call the ER, it magically appeared. So after being treated as though I was a narcotic seeking, letter forgering, liar who had NOT been in for this same issue before I was in excruciating pain for much longer than necessary.I will die before I go back to these uncaring, rude, condescending and arrogant doctors at this hospital. The other staff, nurses and techs etc we always very kind and I appreciated their care. It appears to be a problem with the ER doctors themselves. I am not saying all of them are like this but probably 9 out of 10 of them over the years have just been AWFUL. After the incident with the doctor walking out of the room so rudely I vowed NEVER to return I have said this to others before but after the last incident , no matter how terrible the pain or problem I will suck it up and wait to get to a real hospital. As a side note, I am the daughter of an Emergency Room R.N. she has worked in Level I-V ERs for more than 30 years. I have been raised to know what an ER is for, to respect doctors, even she has told me never to go this ER.

Horrible experience! The worst encounter with medical professionals I have ever experienced. They are not professionals at all. I have an auto immune disease called Hidradentitis Supporitva (HS). Not only had the doctor never heard of it, nor take the time to look it up, he injected a numbing liquid, that shot out of the other side of skin that they had in a pinched position. He then proceeded to use his scalpel to make a cut about one inch in length, across a spot he thought to be infected. When nothing came put but a large amount of blood, and no infection, he made another cut, only more blood, so he made a third cut, and once again nothing but a LOT of blood. I was told they were sending specimens to a lab and they would call with results. They gave me a prescription for strong antibiotics, and wrapped my now 3 extremely painful cuts with one layer of gauze and told me I could go. When I asked if they could cover my now 4 wounds, instead of the the 1 I came in with, better and if they could please give me a shot of the numbing agent that actually stays inside to ease the pain or at least give me something for it, I was told no, we dont do that for stuff like this. Ive never been more appalled or insulted. I have no kind of addictions and I had never even been to this hospital, considering I only moved to the area a year earlier. I live less than 1 mile from this chop shop of a hospital and by the time I arrived home, my brand new car seat, shorts, leg, sock, and shoe were covered in blood and I could barely stand. I immediately went inside our house and rebandaged my wounds and laid down. I was in horrendous pain and within 15 minutes, my new bandaging, my sheets, and mattress were covered in blood. I eventually used super glue to close the 3 cuts the doctor made, as that was the ONLY way I could stop the bleeding. I have pictures from every event, including the very large cuts and absurd amount of blood even before I left the hospital. Ive left out many of the overly gross TMI details, but it was not legal treatment and with my conditions could have easily led to sepsis and even my death. This has been MY only experience because I will never willingly return, but my family has had huge issues as well. One including; them telling my father in law, myself, and the my wife, that my wifes father was having a massive heart attack. I personally had to call his other children to tell them, which was nothing less than a tramatic experience. We were never updated by the idiots of Crockett Chop Shop. We raced to Maury Regional where he was to be transported to, and thank God we were told he had not been having a heart attack at all, much less a massive heart attack (I watched my best friend/mother/grandmother die from a massive heart attack as EMTs tried to save her). He had inflammation. There are many more, but these are 2 of my own awful experiences, and I would never allow anyone I love to be taken to, or treated by the incompetent staff at Crockett. Its a Crock alright but not a hospital that should be trusted. I seriously considered a lawsuit over my first experience and could have easily won considering what they did and the violations that occurred, but decided against it due to not wanting to see the only medical life flight pad home closed. That is the ONLY thing that place is good for. Getting anyone seriously injured transported out of this town faster and receiving basic treatment quicker. If you need a bandaid or a splinter pulled out, I still do NOT recommend you going to this so called hospital. If your loved one is taken there, I would highly suggest that you demand they be transported elsewhere. Their life more than likely will literally depend on getting treated elsewhere. Thankfully I didnt die, but as I said with my conditions, it could have easily happened had I not known how to treat myself from the damage they did, and Im sure almost every single person in this town has heard at least one of the stories, of when a death was caused by this place, instead of prevented.

Had cataract surgery in both eyes a month apart. Was performed by DR Weikert Daniel S. MD of Vanderbilt Eye Institute. First surgery went great no discomfort or pain during procedure whatsoever. Second eye, not so lucky. I was told by Dr Susan Methvin that she would be my anesthesiologist and she would take care of me. When taken to the operating room I had only had drops to dilate my eye. I remember everything. My head was strapped down and hands tucked in and a young man smiled and said he was going to give me some happy juice. I thought that would be great. In less that a minute Dr Weikert started working on my eye and was practically screaming at me to hold both eyes open and look up. I really tried to do what I was told, after all he was working on my eye. I didn’t say anything, just followed instructions. It seemed like an eternity but I’m sure it was just a few minutes. I’m just thankful he was good at what he does or I would be blind in one eyes. I truly believe that the Dr knew I was not sedated, but he used the excuse to Dr Robert Remke, my Optometrist, that once he starts there’s no turning back. Also want to mention I was the late patient for the day. I actually blame the Dr and the hospital staff for the terrible experience I had that day. I refer to it as being water boarded.Ellis R. They tell me how to remedy my pain and fever by drinking water and eating soup then send me on my way with ibuprofen. A week or so later they send me a bill for $5000 but say I only have to pay $1058 as if their doing me a favor. I call up the billing department and they give me the run around. Apparently they charge you for any equipment or PPE the Dr uses, time you are there, and services provided. To get hit with a ridculous bill like this for crappy medical care is outrageous. My visit was three hours bc they took their sweet time to tell me what I already knew and the only care they gave me was some water plus advise on how to take care of the flu, which again I already knew. I dont pay the bill right away bc I was not working at the time, so they send the same bill for $1058 to two collection agencys. I pay one eventually and they are still trying to make me pay the other. If you dont have insurance they will F you over; some good advice stay clear of this hospital.
