Everyone here is so polite, kind, and caring. Best urgent care experience I have gotten in a long time! I appreciated the follow-up call to check on me this morning and to confirm I was able to get my RX. Thank-you for treating me with such great care.

Billing department sends my girlfriend bills for the one appointment shes had with instructions to pay online or over the phone. The website says our balance is 0.00 and weve called the phone lines over 5 times during all different times of the day and have yet to recieve an answer OR had a call back when weve left a message. Absolute nightmare to try and pay bills.

I had a great experience with PromptCare in Lawrence. Sure, there was a long wait but that happens with all walk-in clinics. From the minute I walked in, I was greeted by smiling faces (even with the masks on) and the staff instantly made me feel welcomed. Will definitely come back the next time I can’t wait for an appointment elsewhere. Highly recommend!

I honestly really like that you can go to an Urgent Care and see a doctor, but everyone else at this place just irks me. I called their nurses desk for them to come get my paperwork from my car, and when they didn’t come for thirty minutes, I brought it in myself. They also held my driver’s license and insurance card the entire time I had to wait outside in my car, and that doesn’t sit right with me either. Once I actually did eventually get inside, Dr. Elo was very nice and listened to what was wrong with me.

One of the only offices in town that will see you same day. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely come here again!

What a horrible experience. They must have confused me with another patient. My vitals were never taken yet it was on my paperwork. Never asked me to rate my pain. Incorrect drug allergy listed ( I have great handwriting). Made my husband carry me instead of offering a wheelchair and to top it all off they called in the wrong medication. Oh, Im a nurse.

My husband has no choice but to go there for his DOT physical. They said it would be a 45 minute wait. It was over 2 hours. They could not tell me why it was taking so long.

My wife Judith Bevan is grateful for Dr. Geis knowledge and compassion , and for his wisdom in referring her to the Wound Care Center. Heres a shout out to a really good doctor!

I wanted to share a very remarkable experience. My daughter was at KU and suffered a foot injury. She went in and had XRays and Dr. Elo was able to catch a very rare injury that is often missed by orthopedics. Based off of his diagnosis, we were able to get her in very quickly to an orthopedic and get her foot surgically repaired. Had this diagnosis not have occurred at the urgent care level, we would likely still be waiting to be seen by an ortho. We very much appreciate the diligence and service we received at this facility. They’re billing department is run by college dropouts. Somebody who failed remedial math could have done it better. Staff doesn’t wanna work there probably and they don’t respect your time

I had a problem with my bill but no one at the clinic would/could talk to me about it. No one answers their billing/patient services phone number — even if you leave a message. You will just wait on hold for 30+ minutes. I cant believe they can get away with this, as a health care provider.

I had a LHI appointment a few weeks ago for my PHA readiness, and the staff here has poor customer service and are rude. I really wish my unit chose a different facility for me to complete my readiness with being that I live almost an hour away. If you have other facilities available to you, I recommend using them for your care.

Sat in the waiting room for at least 2 hours while needing to take a drug screen and physical for a job. Wasnt able to use the restroom because of ua test.

Would never take my child here again. Went in because our son was having croup like symptoms, the doctor only wanted to test for Covid and strep so we did the strep test. Doctor wasn’t happy that I said no to the Covid test and disregarded that it could have been croup so that same night took our son to the children’s mercy urgent care and was immediately diagnosed with croup and is on the mend! Not pleased whatsoever and will not be going back

All the staff were very kind and efficient getting my son back to have stitches in his foot. He was very upset and in a lot of pain and the nurses and drs were calm, encouraging and worked quickly. The dr also answered all his questions once he had calmed down and was honest, but gentle with him. Really great all around experience!

There have been three (3) occasions that impressed me.After a missed stress fracture at LMH diagnosed as gout, Dr. Elo corrected that diagnosis as a stress fracture and recommended different running shoes.After withdrawal off a simple med, Dr. Elo helped with stomach pain effectively.Most importantly, they allow blood pressure checks. Dr. Nickel and Dr. Elo, yesterday, finally helped with successful BP management.It is a caring group.

Rudest staff and doctor l have ever meet in my life was there for a routine DOT physical, will not be going there again and will make sure to pass on to my trucker friends how they look down on truckers!!

I’ve had a couple misdiagnoses from here, but they are also the best in town. The staff does everything they can to ensure they are doing their job. I have tried other urgent care facilities in town just to be treated like a dollar sign or straight up trash. Prompt Care has always been my go to since they are polite and good at their jobs. Yes humans make mistakes, it happens, but this urgent care facility is pretty great!

The old lady at the front desk is very rude and unhelpful. she stared blankly at me until i told her what i came in for, a drug screening. no greeting whatsoever. consider hiring someone more personable to check people in.nurse who was overseeing my drug screen did not tell me to not flush the toilet after i was done so i flushed it as one does after they go to the bathroom. and then was told that sample could no longer be used. they should be more clear and precise about that. it has taken 2 hours for me to pee in a cup.

Prompt care was excellent. We truly received prompt care. We were traveling and we’re able to be seen quickly and got back on the road right away. Dr. Eli was excellent.

Dr Geist is fantastic. The front desk is very unfriendly. I wouldnt go here unless you know you will see Geist. Their billing agency is questionable so hang on to all your receipts. They dont record your copayment in their billing records or some of the employees taking your payment dont know how to apply it correctly to your account. They cant explain their own statements. Only billing records Ive ever seen where a zero balance means money is owed. Buyer beware

The staff here are very friendly, the doctor was super nice and quick. I was in for a simple physical and felt very comfortable and the time I spent over all went very fast!

I received quick attention and speedy care. when the other place told me it would take 90 minutes to treat me I walked right out the door and drove to Prompt Care. I was seen and treated 35 minutes later. Couldnt be more pleased with the friendly staff and prompt service!

Best Urgent Care in Town! Despite the current situation of COVID, the faculty remained very responsive and caring. The facility was geared for the prevention of transmission.

Dr. Elo provided great care, and all staff were helpful and friendly.I returned a year after after having written my initial review, and if I could provide six stars, I would. I was once again seen by Dr. Elo, and again, the care was top notch. Nurses and other staff were also very helpful and even provided follow-up assistance with scheduling different appointments.

One of the WORST places I have been too. Their customer service is extremely poor and they do not care about the needs of their patients. We have been trying to complete a drug screen and physical for my husbands work (there IS a five day deadline) and they keep sending us away saying they’re too busy (with rude tones and sighs, keep in mind we were in office and they had NO ONE in there). They made me and my two sons under two (one being a preemie with failure to thrive) sit in our hot broken down truck for an hour even though the sign for COVID explained if you have children a adult MAY accompany them in the waiting area) she very rudely told us we had to leave and then sat at her desk for thirty minutes with no one else in there before doing part one of my husbands process. We’re hoping to get the physical done by the deadline in two days but I just don’t see it happening! Not to mention we have missed two days of work just to be turned down and told they’d get back to us in a few minutes and never receive calls back! Unfortunately this is the place required for his job, or we would spend our money elsewhere. We will now NEVER come here by choice because of the receptionist working this afternoon .

Hatchet Job comes to mind...If you value your health, or that of your loved ones, stay away. We took our 3 year old here for a gash above the eye. What should have had 2-3 stitches ended up with a glob of super glue that did nothing but cause the wound to stay open. The super glue was crusted all over the place and essentially formed a crust over the entire area.The attending Dr. should have told us to go to the ER if he was not comfortable tackling the problem or did not have the correct items on hand to do so. Instead, he proceeded bumbling forward with great ineptitude. He went as far as to admit that it was a bad job.The bad job was subsequently confirmed by the two other Drs that ended up looking at it the next day both of which made comments on how bad the job was. One of the Drs went as far as to say it the worst job he had seenSo in short, stay away.

Never in my life have I met a more unprofessional front desk person. She was rude, told me I couldn’t go to my car to get a book while I wait 30 minutes for a drug test, she should have told me that from the very beginning.. what if I needed my medication?? I really hope companies stop using this place for drug screening. The floors were dirty and everyone who works there looks/acts like they hate their job. Hopefully I never have to return to this unprofessional, nasty facility.

Fast service and very professional and kind staff.

Front office and or back office certified medical professionals should not be cleaning tiolets nor sweeping outside leaves. There are regulatory guidelines for patient safety and protection. Do not be cheap hire a professional janitor and a landscaping company.

Don’t go here for workman’s comp you will get the run around

Very kind & caring people (they treat you like a human being!), doesnt have the corporate chain feeling that MedExpress has. They saw us quickly when our young son needed stitches. They made him and us feel comfortable in our time of need. They even worked with us financially, since it was all out of pocket. I highly recommend PromptCare!

Went on a Sunday after a misstep from a U-Haul earned me a non-union 5th metatarsal fracture (little toe bone near ankle). The staff are all exceptionally friendly, professional and Dr. Eto is exceptional..he takes the time to explain things in a very down to earth manner and Ill definitely return for any other PromptCare needs! Also, the 30% discount offered for self-payment in full at the time of services is a real and fantastic advantage!

So I went to Prompt Care and want to give a big shout out to Dr. Nickel for actually caring. Its affordable too! They always call to check on you too!

Both the telephone recording and the website said drug screening for employment ends 30 minutes before closing. I arrived an hour before closing only to be told there was not enough time to complete the process. I told them that the website and recording both gave me the info and was told basically that they knew it was wrong but oh well. Not very professional at all.

The wait can seem long but its about average for a doctors office. I 100% recommend. I had to be referred to a specialist and they helped me through it. The doctor also was willing to talk on the phone with my mom so she could ask him questions directly which was nice as a college student so I didnt have my mom worrying as much from so far away. The doctors Ive seen have always been professional and knowledgeable.

Dr. Elo was the kindest, warmest and most understanding person I have ever encountered. I would recommend him as highly as possible. He took time to explain, answer questions and genuinely care about me and my health. Thank you so much, what a wonderful person

Dr. Elo at Prompt care has been there for the people. I think he became a surgeon because he could not be Mother. I have been very grateful that I can get medical benefits from the community with his supports although I do not have the medical insurance.

The BEST clinic in Lawrence by far! They are very warm and caring. Dr Ello is awesome. I have gone here for DOT physicals and also to get a finger stitched. I highly recomend this clinic!!!

I was very pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was seen and treated. They have the perfect balance of speedy and friendly service without rushing you. I got a more thorough examination than I did from a primary care doctor here in town for the same problem! They answered each and every question I had, and since Im new to Lawrence, gave me recommendations for numerous healthcare providers around town for future reference. The convenient online check in option is just the cherry on top! Highly recommend.

Definitely nothing prompt about this place. I come for a simple pre employment drug screen and physical and have to wait for ever. Feels more like a money factory for whoever was driving the porsche in the parking lot. Should change their name to long wait care.

This company is a horrible company to do business with! Do not go there unless you want to be billed over and over and have your account go to collections because they cant keep track of their own records. I understand it is an outside billing company but prompt care picks who they do business with. Ive dealt with them multiple times and sent in documentation showing I had paid a bill when the billing company sent it to debt collections; even though I had paid the bill within a month. This is not acceptable!!

I went for a drug screen and went in within about 15 minutes. I was told of the very strict regulations, which meant no water on, someone literally right outside the door listening, etc...no big deal, unless you are pee shy. I sat there for a few, trying to you know what and suddenly the woman starts talking to me through the door, telling me I should come out and drink more water. When I said to maybe give me a minute or so more, she told me through the door that I only had 4 minutes and was already at 3. I was confused as I had not been told I only had a few minutes to do this, but zipped up and went back out. I was told I needed to wait at least 15 minutes to try again. Fine, no big deal. Well, I got a phone call while I was waiting and walked out into the vestibule between the lobby and the outside, which has automatic sliding glass doors on both sides. The automatic doors to the outside opened and as I was on the phone and distracted, I walked out for maybe 3 seconds, turned around and walked back into the vestibule (with all their cameras, this is totally able to be validated). Well, after my 1 minute phone call, I went in to try and take the test again, over 30 minutes later from the phone call and about 40 minutes after trying for the first time, and I was told someone would have to watch me go to the bathroom simply because I had taken a step outside for a couple seconds (In clear view of all medical personnel and other patients). I flat out refused and feel this was completely inappropriate. This was a pre-employment, non-DOT screening and I was always in full view of medical personnel at all times. I should not have to expose myself to prove I have a clean exam.

Great alternative to the ER or waiting several days for an appointment at the GP. Plus they had an x-ray machine right there, so didnt have to go to the hospital to rule out a fracture. It was a relief to get in to see a doc right away and go straight to the pharmacy to get a walking boot without spending the time and headache of the ER.

No frills, just quick care. Front desk not exactly the most friendly, but did her job all the same and got me back to the doctor ASAP. Had a diagnosis and paid for medicine within 30 minutes, would definitely recommend.

Great care, in and out quick. This is an urgent care not a primary care office and they should NOT refill pain meds, if you need them that long you need to see a specialist or get set up with a primary care doc to manage pain. These docs are top notch and know what they are doing.

The actual medical staff was friendly but as in medical staff I am just referring to the provider and nurse. The lady working at the front desk the day I came in had absolutely no customer service skills and never made eye contact with me throughout the whole visit just simply told me to fill out these papers and have a seat. Once my visit was over, I was charged $150 as Im self pay for them just to simply tell me I was okay and they did not do anything other than check my vitals, I asked why it so was expensive however the lady at the desk just told me its a standard charge and nothing else which I understood however the website says $90 - $150. So, I thought it was a little outrageous / overpriced. But months later, they kept mailing me saying I owed another $300 as they never received payment, and thought that was ridicilous as they never did any lab work etc however the billing service was quite professional and handled it for me but I had to contact them on more than 4 occasions before the issue was resolved. Overall, wouldnt go back just based on the personality of the front desk service.

I called to talk to the doctor about a small but recurring problem I had several weeks ago that has come back today. The nurse and doctor Darin would not cooperate with me to resolve the problem. They tell me there is nothing they can do despite having the record of my last visit. Im over 150 miles away in a rural area and would like to have a resolution but they dont care. The most important thing for them seems to be: minimize effort to the absolute lowest output possible.

Unfortunately this was the only place my employer would authorize me to go for a physical. The staff was unnecessarily rude when i asked why they share my medical information with educational and scientific institutions. If you express that it is your desire to keep your medical information private, they will refuse service.

I was lucky to meet with the nicest Dr. Ello. My finger healed nicely. I would have lost my finger but he treated it effectively.

The receptionist totally ignored me when i first arrived, she just continued to do what she was doing without acknowledging my presence, i actually had to announce my presence to which she shrugged off with a nod. Any requests to her were totally ignored and i had to keep reminding her, she is so zoned out,she cant focus on customers. This place needs some work in terms of customer service.

I like how the site said if you come 15 minutes prior to close well see you but we showed up 35 minutes early after driving an hour and were refused service. Unprofessional and unimpressed.

This place is very unprofessional the lady at the front desk is very very rude. I know orOf people that have experienced the same thing when using promt care. I don’t believe the woman at the front desk deserves to have her job considering she’s had multiple complaints in the past years she doesn’t make you feel comfortable or does it make you feel safe she makes you feel like your unwanted in that vicinity not only that when I called to get a corporate number or somebody higher up I asked for her name she repeated herself and said “I said this is Barb” then after that she transferred me to some man which then I proceed to ask if this is who I should talk to to file a complaint and he says “sure” so I told him “this does not sound to promising nor do I feel comfortable with that answer so, can I get a number for somebody higher up and he tells me “no, you cannot” and hangs up in my face!!!!I will be filing a complaint with everyone that is above this company. My thing is, if your not happy with your job or want to treat people that come there for help like they are nothing then you should be treated like your nothing. You don’t deserve to be in that field at all!!!! This isn’t the first time I have dealt with her so I could go on and on with the different situations where the woman at he front has no respect for the customers that come in there.

Have been a couple times for brutal ankle sprain and kiddos being sick and they’ve been excellent every time.

My nurse was very kind and Dr. Nickel showed concern and compassion for how awful I was feeling. He asked me a lot of questions and prescribed what I needed to get well. My scripts were called in immediately and what impressed me most is that they called me the next morning to see how I was feeling and to make sure I got my meds. Jamie told me to call w any questions or concerns or if I was not feeling any better. Ive never had a doctors office or any kind of urgent care facility call the next day to see how I was feeling. I feel they went above and beyond and felt that they truly cared about my well being. Thank you so much PromptCare. I highly recommend them!!

The receptionist has no customer care values and doesnt even make eye contact when you approach the front desk. Very cold and never compassionate. Also, if youve ever had a weird reaction to a drug that one of the very quick to diagnose doctors provide for you, they NEVER answer phone calls to the nurses station. I sat at home for one hour, called 16 times...16 TIMES and finally on the 16th call someone picked up the phone. Its quite embarrassing for a health clinic who could care less about the proper diagnosis and who cares more about patient turnover and money. Waste of time and money. Go elsewhere.

I just peed in a cup twice and been sitting here for 2 hours and now I have to sit her until I have to pee again and I’m 32 week pregnant and they made me hold my pee for 15 minutes and it’s reading 94 degrees witch ig isn’t normal? im pissed and I’ll be calling corporate to complain

More about the money than the patient.I went in to get checked out when an odd bump showed up on my stomach. I didnt actually choose to go here but was recommended by minute clinic which could not treat due to heavy bruising. I got in fairly quickly and was checked out by the nurse and was told that the doctor would be in shortly. To make a short story shorter it was literally 2 minutes before I was out the door. And when I went to check out and get my antibiotics the front desk tried to tell me that I was all paid up and I could go... Without my prescription that they didnt know I got when it was sitting on the desk next to them. I would definitely not recommend this clinic as I got better care at the minute clinic.

I have been there 3 times in the last 2 years and have received very good and timely care.

Horrible experience... only came here because my husband was having excruciating tooth pain and his primary care doctor, very compassionate Family Medicine Associates Dr. Bloom, was already closed. They talked to us for two minutes, gave him 20 low strength pain pills, and charged us a hundred dollars. We were in the process of moving to Colorado, and the next week the pain persisted. Not having a primary care or dentist yet in Colorado, having only lived here three days, we attempted to have it refilled here in Denver. Dr. Elos nurse or whoever it was, was horribly rude! She said we cant do anything to help you, the Dr. said you have to go to a dentist. When I explained our situation to her and requested to speak with the Dr, she got very rude with me and said she couldnt help us. She said shed have the doctor call us, and I called three times asking for him... never got a call back.tldr: NO COMPASSION AND OUTRAGEOUS PRICING EVEN WITH INSURANCE

Ive been in a few times, and the teams been flexible with scheduling, friendly, and good listeners to my issues.

Fast, friendly service with extremely knowledgeable and experienced providers. An excellent choice for everything from physicals to illness and injuries.

Lmao apparently even some doctors dont know how to act their age in this town.

Paid my bill in full 2 months ago, but theyre constantly sending bills through the mail telling me that Im due for collections. Ive talked to their support and have even emailed them confirmation emails and receipts.

They refused to give service to my son. Rude as hell! This was our first and LAST visit to this prompt care.

Some of the doctors were very rude and I was told my wound wasnt infected but it obviously was and they tried to deny it and got mad and impatient I did not have a good experience at all and they need to be more understanding I will not go back to this place and it is a company doctor for Wal-Mart I would rather pay money for the emergency room.
