I called ahead of time to ask if they had time for a walk in lady said yes come on In I got there told them what I wanted and got in chair my dresser seemed in a hurry my hair cut went all right beside she kept dropping ever comb she picked up next we went to waxing my eye brows in this process she dropped the stick full of wax in my hair I sat there as she pulled the wax out my hair took a good 5 min while laughing and thinking it was funny after leaving I realized what ever she was using to get the wax out of my hair left a big chunk of my hair feeling very oily she did offer to wash before I left but at this point I did not want her doing anything else I will never return . Was really disappointed I was not offered some kind of discount out maybe one of my services free or something But nothing....

Went to get my son a haircut not only did the woman not use water while she was cutting his hair but my son flinched several times as she nicked his ear a couple times then she left bald spots in the back of his head by the time I got home they were closed so I couldnt call for thrm to fix it so I spent 20 minutes trying to fix his hair myself. She definitely didnt know what she was doing....and she wanted a tip!

The Supercuts destroyed my hair. They have no idea what they are doing. Very bad service. Do not recommend it to anyone. You can most likely get a better cut at home if you try it than going to this place.

My 7 years old nephew went to get his haircut. He has autism and I warned the lady cutting his hair. The barber was Anna, she was very impatient with him and called him dumbo because his ears are slightly larger than the rest of the kids. He already has a hard to so I thought a respectable adult would have the audacity to keep to their selves. Never coming here again....

WORST place to get your haircut, if you want a good haircut dont go to this place, I got a haircut here trying to get a no.2 fade and medium at the top but instead got the worst fade with uneven on the sides and so short on the top, it looks like Im bald. Go to an another place to get your haircut, dont go to this place.

I went in to get a trim on my hair. 1 minute into my haircut she was clueless on what to do. The woman clearly hasnt been cutting hair for very long. She took chunks out of my hair, then tried to blend it. Then her clippers were not sharp. 2 of the staff tried to step in. Thats where a manager shouldve taken over. So many mishaps for just a basic trim. I ended up at a professional salon and they were shocked at what they had to do to fix my hair. Im very upset

Booked online appointment for 1145, arrived at 1140. Waited for 1hour and 15 minutes before my daughter was called. Will not return. This also happened last booked appointment

I usually go to salons which charge at least twice as much for a womens haircut, but due to my busy schedule, I opted to give Super Cuts a go because of the walk-in friendly nature. Casey was my stylist. She listened carefully to what I was doing with my hair as I grow it out, and gave me a very flattering cut while maintaining the length. I left feeling pleasantly surprised by how amazing my hair looks. She took so little off, and somehow managed to sculpt it into a noticeably prettier style. Thank you Casey!EDIT: I came in today because I needed a haircut right away. Ive been going to Casey, but as she was off today, Stevie cut my hair. She did an equally great job! She is very talented, understood my complicated hair texture, and is a complete sweetheart. They have a great staff there at Supercuts on Iowa. I highly recommend. I have had my hair cut lots of places, and have paid a lot more for haircuts, and my natural curl pattern has never looked better since I started coming here.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Paid 20 dollars for a fade for my husband and they destroyed his hair. It is nothing close to a fade. Going to call tomorrow to see if we can get his money back. This is ridiculous. How hard is it to do a simple high and tight?

Checked in online, and got seated in less than 5 minutes. Aimee was great - I showed her a photo of something Ive wanted to do that other stylists have had trouble with around town and she absolutely NAILED it! Quick, efficient, inexpensive (more room for a tip!), and I got a free sample. Will return!

They do an awesome job :) Ive been going here for about four years, had my hair cut by most of the employees who work here, and I always have a positive experience. By comparison, Ive been to the Great Clips in Overland Park, which wasnt so nice. I asked for four inches off, which they did, but they missed a lot of hairs. For weeks after, I kept finding extra long hairs mixed in with the rest of my short-length hair. Never had that problem at this Supercuts. Theyre always thorough. The staff are all nice.

I have never been a fan of Supercuts personally, but this review is unbias. My friend getting a hair cut dreaded not going today. He said If Miranda Holland is there I dont want to get my hair cut. As we arrived a blue haired beauty asks for my friends number and mumbles with him. I dont have a clue what is going on. She never said anything to me. Maybe I wanted to spend business her and get my hair cut or understand the process of what is going on and what is being established here? Oh well. The trim took a fair amount of time! I wish the employee would have smiled more or or talked to me about the products she saw me gazing act in nervousness from being in a new environment questioning if I wanted to be a consumer. A little personality comes a long way, and later to find out my dissatisfied friend received his hair cut from Miranda Holland. Sportscuts isnt exactly about crazy amazing quality. It is about getting a nice cut while having a pleasant time... which we didnt really have...

I love this place bc they have a $10 haircuts on Tuesdays deal rn. Also, I work for adults with disabilities and they are so accomodating! They have cut my clients hair who had to have music on to help him get thru it; one lady had a large wheelchair that the chick had to cut around. ❤

Awful. Took my 6-year-old daughter in for a haircut, asked for a shoulder-length bob. Her hair was cut at least 3 inches above her shoulder and completely crooked. The left side is at least an inch longer than the right. The stylist appeared to have just rolled out of bed hungover and never spoke a word to my daughter as she cut her hair.

Been coming to this location for 8+ years. The staff changes almost once a month. Its rare to get a haircut from the same stylist, which is unfortunate because its never consistent. One day you might get a very good stylist that does a great job and another day youll get a girl who seems to be trying to break the world record for haircut speed.Edit: quality has dropped so low that I was actually inspired to change my rating. I came back recently to give them the benefit of the doubt, and once again: 3 minute haircut that should normally take 15-20. I’m left with numerous random hairs everywhere and a crooked neck like. This is after persuading the lady to continue trimming my hair in various places to get it looking more normal. You basically have to baby sit them the entire time.

I got my hair cut at this location because of the convenience of it being located less than a mile from where I live. And I will never be coming here again.I asked for a simple haircut, one Ive asked for at multiple other barbershops around town; half an inch on the sides, and one inch on top. Thats all. Nothing fancy; no fades, no designs, no colors, just one length around my head, and twice that length on the top.Instead of doing what I asked, the lady cutting my hair proceeded to shave my entire head with the half-inch guard she was supposed to use for the side and back of my hair. Without my glasses, I could not notice how terribly this lady butchered my hair. After trimming the back and ears, she did not even ask if I was okay with the haircut; she just removed the neck guard and apron (Im not sure what theyre called, but this sounded appropriate) and handed me my glasses. She walked to the register and charged me $12.50.I kept nervously and suspiciously feeling my head on the way home, and once I could take a good look in the mirror, I was appalled. This was a haircut I could give myself with one hand tied behind my back. Not only did I feel cheated out of the haircut cost, but I felt robbed of the hair on my head because of this crappy buzz cut.Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. If you have even the slightest chance of getting the barber as me, or if the others arent any better, you are better off going anywhere else.

Do not go here! they will butcher your hair and youll spend twice what you spent to fix their butchering! they dont dress like professional hair dressers should instead you get some under done dont care how bad she looks shirts and leggings hot mess ! they dont even try to fix their own hair to show up to work! come on now if your hair dresser looks like they just rolled out of bed by the greasy hair and body odor you know they dont care about themselves and sure dont care about ruining your hair! spent 45 there and had to spend 86 dollars to get my and my husbands hair fixed!!! beware if you love your hair!!! avoid this place like the plague! The manager of this store (on Iowa) is RUDE and yells at her employees in front of other customers. It is by far the most unprofessional store in Lawrence and i cant believe i wasted my money. Not a warm environment or welcoming!

Went in to get a trim and bangs. I was in the store all of 7 minutes. Allie (I think) barley looked at my hair while we was triming my hair. I honestly cant even see where she cut my hair it looks the same. For my bangs she just took a straight Razer and went down them. Took like 30 seconds.Overall I feel like I couldve bought myself a pair of hair sizzors and cut my own hair to save me the $20 I just spent here.

Along with the other 1 star ratings from others, blonde chick sure wants to get the hell outta there. The way she was clipping my hair and being ROUGH, on my head seemed to me, that she wanted to leave. Her welcoming had an attitude with it. Yes, this the blonde chick also that I am talking about that is plain awful.

I have been getting my hair cut here for more than a 15 years. Inspite of a slow but steady turnover of staff, I have NEVER had a bad haircut and have had excellent ones frequently.

The gal did a great job on my sons hair.

They didnt do a good job on my husbands haircut. Fade was way off and very uneven. Went back inside to have it fixed. Still came out very uneven. Just not coming back again.

Awful. I had a girl with very short, bleachy blonde hair on top, darker on bottom, dont remember her name. She was not at all friendly. She was VERY rough with the buzzer on the back of my head (if it were a child, it would have been painful for them). Now 34ish hours after my haircut I still have red marks on my scalp and neck. She was cutting it on #2, but when I checked it out later there was still a patch of hair an inch long!! I checked it out later because at no point during the entire 3-4 minutes that she spent with me did she offer a mirror for me to look at the back of my head. I would definitely rate negative if I could!

The guy with green hair is awesome, but one of the ladies who works there (blonde hair, overweight, gray nail polish), gave me the most half-assed haircut Ive ever had. My bangs werent straight at all, and she didnt bother to trim my sideburns, which were very uneven. On top of all of this, she gave me an attitude even after I tipped her.If you do go to the 6th Street Supercuts location, ask for the guy. Avoid this girl at all costs.
