LaVonna is excellent at what she does, listens to her clients so you end up with the results you want. My hair looks, feels awesome and I get a ton of compliments.

This is the salon for redheads! I dont color my hair often because I want to look natural. I like the idea of coming in a few times a year and putting back some red into my hair. Color Studio does a nice job of putting in color that fads naturally. Thank you!

The color studio has a great staff, i especially enjoyed Allison Gaspard, shes so professional and a very sharp girl. Shes definitely a great stylist. The product line of Bumble and Bumble is an incredible like but they also have Wella products for a more reasonable budget and the color is off the wall, especially the hand painting skills.

Excellent!!! I came here for a pedicure and the experience was very relaxing and very pleasant. The store is clean and professional. The woman at the counter was friendly. The woman who did my pedicure was too. She wasnt too chatty and not at all gossipy as some salons tend to be.

Do not go here if you want to donate your hair to Locks of Love or Wigs for Kids. My fiancé’s hair was cut WET and is ruined now due to mildew. On top of that, his hair was cut much shorter than he requested. He can barely put it into a ponytail and had asked to still be able to put it in a bun.

I have been coming here since I was 5 years old. I really have never let anyone else besides LaVonna cut and color my hair ever. I moved to Chicago for a while and I lived in Omaha for a while, the best thing about moving back to Lawrence? Having my stylist back. I have long, thick hair and I love to play with color often; all kinds, red, blonde, dark brown. I have done it all and I have never been unhappy with my results.

Didnt start off as a good experience she was running behind so was a 1/2 an hour late getting to me to do my hair having me wait in chairs. Then she didnt even wash my hair just sprayed some stuff in it then curled it Then pulled it slightly back wasnt impressed with how it looked then she seemed to only spray hairspray to hold the curls in the back leaving the front to come out before my wedding. This is on top of her re doing the front curls during the time she worked on it. Didnt seem to know very well what she was doing. No price was discussed with me when I set up the appointment which she had given me 2 different appt times and nothing was discussed when I got there... Ended up costing me 70 bucks as I went ahead and made it a even 70 from the $67 I was charged... Instead of just giving you the receipt and allowing you to privately add a tip she directly takes your card and asks you if you want to make a gratitude putting you on the spot Needless to say for what she did to my hair was not worth what I was charged a total waste of money.

Color Studio gives excellent color and the personal touch that I have never experienced anywhere else!

I know i am always taking a huge risk when i choose several pinterest pics and try to explain how i would like them merged. LaVonna got it immediately and when i was finished it was like she had looked inside my imagination and made it come to life. She is quite the master stylist, and i was not pushed or prodded to purchase product unless i specifically asked about something. Beautiful experience all-around!

I LOVE COLOR STUDIO!! It is by far the best salon in Lawrence. Amber Medlen is my stylist there, and all of her work is AWESOME!!! She does bright, platinum blonde color in my hair along with a great cut every time, I wouldnt go to anyone else!

I went from a really coppery brown to platinum will little to no damage! If thats not magic i dont know what is. I had been searching far and wide for a salon that could get me to this level, its safe to say i found it!She used Olaplex, and that did wonders! She knows what shes doing and very skilled.

Decided to dye my hair on a whim and visited LaVonna at Color Studio for the first time this past weekend. I was definitely nervous since Ive had dark, black hair a majority of my life but LaVonna walked me through options and helped me pick out what would look best. I went from dark hair to a lighter/ carmel brown and have been so excited about it since I walked out of the studio! Really glad it turned out so well :) and LaVonna is also such a happy and friendly person to work with!

I LOVE Color Studio. I came to them with a big request.....taking my dark brown hair to white blonde. They were so excited about this project. Lavonna and McKayla research all the different techniques for lightening hair on their own time and even went to forums to get other stylists opinions. McKayla met with me before hand and made sure I knew how it would effect my hair, how to maintain it, and how much it would cost.They were unbelievably selfless and flexible, staying late to make sure I loved my hair before I left. And you guys, it worked! My dark brown hair is now blonde! Ah!! I absolutely love it, just in time for summer! I cannot speak more highly of Lavonna, McKayla, and Color Studio. LOVE THIS PLACE AND THESE WOMEN!
