Helpful the wait was long but it’s a pretty quick and thorough visit

Excellent doctor very quick service and she was very helpful and very caring. Office staff was nice too!

I brought my 15 year-old daughter in to Dr. Dastrup for an initial visit about a specific medical complaint. We arrived early to fill out new-patient paperwork and still had to wait nearly 1 hour to be seen (which I will assume is not the fault of Dr. Dastrup). When Dr. Dastrup did see my daughter, she spent no more than 15 minutes with her, made (incorrect) assumptions about her complaints, did not ask a thorough line of questions about her condition, did not touch her at all, and sent us on our way with a general list of referrals. The only reason I give her 2 stars is because she had a friendly personality. I am a healthcare provider myself - and my daughter did not receive thorough, good, personal service with Dr. Dastrup. First and last visit.

I have a mixed review. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Dr Tammy Reynolds. She was the best ob/gyn Ive ever had. From the first time I met her I felt very comfortable and she had a very likable personality. I started going to her when I found out I was pregnant with my first (and so far only child) and she is also the person who delivered my son. And the one time that I had to make an appointment and she wasnt available I had to make an appointment with Jane the nurse practitioner, who was also VERY kind gentle and just a sweet lady.Now for the bad part. my husbands insurance made it so that we didnt have a co-pay we just paid our share of the amount until we reached the price of our deductible. So the office put me on a payment plan for the cost of all my visits and delivery (will NEVER EVER SIGN A CONTRACT LIKE THAT AGAIN) I ended up coming close to meeting my deductible a lot faster than planned because I was sent to a specialist for one visit. The problem being that I was paying all this amount to this office and my insurance company had no idea because they werent submitting all the $ I was paying only slowly submitting each visit. So while my bank account said I was 200$ away from meeting my deductible my insurance company said I was still like 800+ from meeting it. And I still had other medical bills coming it (whenever I would get blood work plus all others that would submit a claim before the dr office would. I informed the obgyn specialists of what was going on and told them I was going to be over paying and that the last thing I wanted to worry about after just having a baby was fighting to get reimbursed by them. they ASSURED me that, that wouldnt happen it would be fast and easy as soon as they got everything cleared by the insurance company they would pay me back no problem in like 2 or 2 weeks.So I over paid them and other people because other people submitted claims before this office finished submitting all the claims and here my son is 5 months old in two days and I still havent been given any of my money back (Ive called twice to check up on the status of it and even drove there to drop off my insurance claim papers at the end of the year when it showed all claims that had been paid). If I want someone to hold my money for me Ill give it to a bank and at least get interest back with it. Im getting no where fast.So even though I adore Dr Reynolds Im currently looking for a new office for my lady needs =(
