I’m not the type to write reviews, but after not having a doctor for 5 years cause I’m stubborn and finally picking a doctor, just to have a rude front desk staff and not able to see the doctor till October. So, end up at urgent care twice. So round 2 searching for a new doctor and came across Dr. Owen my first male doctor and best choice I’ve ever made. His staff were so nice and welcoming. I was nervous at first but the ladies made it so easy that my nerves went away. Dr. Owen was very nice and understanding. Thank you Dr. Owen & staff for making my visit comfortable and at ease. I FINALLY found a doctor I like.

Super friendly staff, only two forms to fill out for first time patient, and did not have to wait hardly at all in waiting room.

I found Dr. Owen about a year and a half ago, and have been extremely happy. Great staff and Dr. Owen has taken time to get to know me as a person, and not just another appointment. I trust him implicitly, and go to him for any medical questions or needs. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a family doctor.

Making my appointment online was very easy. I was notified about 5 minutes later that my appointment was set for 2 days later. The staff was attentive & caring. 5 minutes after paperwork, I was called back. The nurse at intake was thorough in her questions. Dr. Owen is awesome. He talks to you & listens for your answer. This office treats its patients with kindness & understanding.

Dr. Owen is amazing. I have lived in Las Vegas since 1979 and have seen many doctors through my life. Dr. Owen has an excellent bedside manner. He takes his time and really listens to.....you never feel rushed or unimportant. I always feel like he really cares about my well being and never just a patient (dollar sign). His staff is extremely friendly and attentive. His phlebotomist is the best!!!!

My general doctor, Rulon Owen, told me that I have cancer. We then set an appointment with the oncologist. A week went by of fear, worry, and tears. When I went to the oncologist, a full week later, he said that had no cancer, but only a benign tumor, and only a small surgery needed to remove it.The worry and fear this caused for me and my family was nearly overwhelming.Later, I went to my primary care physician again, and he gave his explanations, with an “apology” — but the week of crying with my loved ones had already happened. The doctor then said that the mammogram biopsy report is not always 100% right. So why would he make a diagnosis and tell the patient, in such a sure way, that she has cancer…This was a horrible, frightening experience for me and my family, and I would never want anyone else to have to go through thinking that they have terminal illness, when they do not. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor by staying far away from this doctor!

My husband and I were in search of a primary dr and was recommended by my insurance company. When we arrived we were greatest with a smile. The staff and Dr were very friendly and made us feel comfortable.. highly recommend them.

Staff is very helpful and Dr. Owen is a very good dr. He’s a great listener and takes his time.The girl who works in lab is very gentle which is a big plus .

Giving this place 2 stars only because Dr. Owen was pleasant. However the desk girl sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. Normally its not a big deal. They just correct it and send it over to the right pharmacy. But the extremely rude and unprofessional girl working at the desk had the AUDACITY to tell me that it was my fault that it was sent to the wrong place. She accused me of giving them false information in regards to where my prescriptions needed to be sent. So not only did she refuse to take responsibility for my prescription being sent to the wrong place, but she basically told me that it would be a hassle for them to correct the mistake! She told me to just pick it up at the wrong pharmacy so she did not have to deal with it. God forbid I inconvenience HER for screwing up my information. Will not be going back.

The staff is the nicest and friendliest I have ever been associated with. Dr. Owen is knowledgeable, caring and I am confident when I discuss something with him, I am getting an expert opinion.

When I first found Las Vegas Family Medicine I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly they were. Unfortunately, since the start of the pandemic, my experience with the practice has gone downhill.Some of my experiences included having to sit in a crowded waiting room without social distancing for a while, seeing staff walk around without masks on, and having Dr. Owen seem to downplay the severity of the virus.I wish they would take the pandemic more seriously. I do like them and hope to return but even implementing small changes would help make patients like me more comfortable. Such as, having patients wait in their car until Dr. Owen is ready to see them and having staff be more consistent with keeping their masks on, at least in front of patients.

This is a really great office. I easily scheduled my appointment online and they confirmed via email and text. Anna, the receptionist, was very nice. I was seen ten minutes after completing my paperwork and Dr. Owen was probably one of the nicest individuals I have ever met. He has a great sense of humor, really listens to you, and makes you feel like hes treating a family member. I also love that he has students. Its a great opportunity for them to learn. This office is a true gem in Las Vegas.

Dr. Owen was a hoot and very thorough. The office staff was awesome and in good spirits even though they were short staffed. I read many reviews on this office and decided to try it to establish a new family physician after we moved here in July of last year. The online appointment request portal on the website is convenient. The staff also called me back promptly to offer another available time that same day. They made me feel like family. We found our doctor.

I had my first visit with Dr. Owen and he seems very down to earth and considerate of his patients. He spent at least 10 minutes with me chatting during my exam and I never felt like it was rushed like at some other physician offices in town. Tried to find a good PCP and came across here and decided to go with it because of the reviews. Cant seem to find a good PCP in Vegas. Dr. Owen didnt do it for me. First of all had to sign papers regarding leaving reviews, who does that, no wonder there are only good reviews on here. Also, didnt go there for a PAP but he offered me one numerous times which made me uncomfortable. He didnt solve any of my problems, and brought me back to the office multiple times just to tell me my results were normal and then charged me each time, ended up owing him lots of money for all those visits. And didnt order the correct blood tests the first time so I of course got charged more by the lab for doing double the tests. Finding that PAs might be the way to go, they are usually younger, more energetic, and thorough, and not so monotone. He was just blah.

Very kind staff, I had to reschedule twice and they were patient with me both times. The nurse was also very kind and thorough, she seemed to care. Dr Owen was in fact the complete opposite during my visit. He was incredibly short with every answer and seemed to be rushing me. I barely got to see him anyway before he handed me over to the nurse. He viewed the information she gathered and recommended I see a specialist. He didnt even mention back to me all the symptoms I had mentioned, nor tried to explain why they may exist.

Grateful and Blessed to have found a real doctor. Caring professional staff with great customer service. 🙏✨

Dr. Owen was informative and answered my questions. He also was not rushing to go onto the next patient. It would had given 5 stars if the were not double booked for my appointment time. However, they still were able to get me in 15 minutes later. The staff is nice and try their best help the patients waiting to see the doctor. They also have a phlebotomist in the office to collect blood samples.

I am so happy to find such a great doctor so close to home. So nice to be able to get an appointment quickly and not wait forever. Blood work taken on site and a very nice clean office. Such a pleasant experience to have a knowledgeable experienced doctor take the time to diagnose and treat my whole family. I could not be happier.

Scheduling was easy and was able to get in fast when I was available. Dr. Owen is outstanding. He’s knowledgeable and personable. Two traits that are hard to find these days in a Doctor. I had always spoke of how bad medical coverage was here in Clark County and Dr. Owen is finally the contrast to all of that. It would be hard for me to see anyone else here.

Dr. Owen and Ann (front desk) were AMAZING when I finally decided to do some Coolsculpting. They are knowledgeable, patient, and made the process inviting and exciting (if you can believe it)! I was a bit nervous at first, but I enjoyed everyone here so much that they are now my primary care provider, and I refer all my friends and family to Dr. Owen. :)

I am one of his first customers in Vegas. Ann was super and personable. She welcomed us and spoke highly of doctor Owen. She left, moving back to CA. Saddened us because change was extreme in the front office when she left. I have been dealing with Kim who has not helped me with an important issue that involves my daughters back surgeey. She doesnt check to see if the referring doctor is HMO or PPO, she got the wrong patient in my family referred out to a doctor, on and on. For 2 months, and receiving calls and guidance from my health provider to Dr. Owens office, she has not called my daughters surgeons office like she was directed to do. Brittney was also spoken to by my reps and it was put in the notes. Brittney denied contact and stated that she was confused. These 2 young ladies have not been honest nor proactive and have dropped the ball on my daughters very important procedure. It has taken 2 months. I call and they sound bothered because I am calling to resolve my childs health care issue. It is important to their patient, that should be important to them. They have received calls from my health provider, guiding Kim on how to do an Authorization Letter and related office procedures. Kim stated on June 28th that she only does referrals and on June 29th she stated the girl is on vacation that does overflow authorization letters. Which is it?. On July 7th, she received a call from my health provider and she told the rep that she has no training and cannot write the letter. Kim stated that the office is not equipped to write these letters due to not having training and she will not know when that training occurs. On July 8th the rep stated that a customer support person will contact Kim to guide her. I called Kim and she stated she has not gotten around to contacting the person back named Denetta. I call Kim and she states HPN denied us. I asked, How can that be? I call my rep and they direct me to an appeal process in which a call goes out to the surgeons office and they agree to terms due to no one else in Las Vegas having the ability to do the surgery. I have been calling Kim since then to ask how the status is and she tells me, here we are July 16th, that she has not gotten around to it and rushes me off the phone as I was telling her about my contact with the supervisor that was positive in our favor and the feedback from the surgeon who is waiting for her call. I am skeptical because I cant deal with who works the front and handles important paperwork and business. My daughter has a serious surgery that she needs to sustain her physical being and quite frankly, she will deteriorate without it. This is disappointing. I really dont think Dr.Owen knows about the change his office has gone through since Ann left. This never happened before and it will damage his business. Do not judge Dr. Owen according to his front business desk, it was top notch and I hope it returns this way...SOON!

We were holidaying from Australia. My 18 yr old son became unwell and Las Vegas Family Medicine clinic made an appointment available for us within 24hours. When we arrived we reeceived exemplary attention and service and authentic care. Dr Owen and the Surgical Resident were just beautiful and reassuring. We felt totally supported and appreciated everything the staff provided for us.Would absolutely recommend Las Vegas family medicine especially Dr Owen.

Went there for an FAA exam. The exam was quick and easy! If it had stopped there I probably would have given him about a four star review, not a five because the receptionist and nurse were very unprofessional and just generally rude.Problem is I had a case that required me to follow up with the FAA. He was really vague on the instructions and really didnt seem to want to help me. Ultimately the only way I could get ahold of him was by calling before office hours and getting him on the phone, to which he responded that I was badgering him and being annoying. It was a very unpleasant conversation and he showed his true colors.Hes an old jerk, and his whole office just had the feeling like it was temporary and unrefined. There are plenty of other options in town. Dont give your money to this guy.

Got to see the doctor the day after I requested a non emergency appointment, which I was very impressed by. Office staff were friendly and attentive. Once I got back with the doctor, I really felt like he listened to my concerns and wanted to bring up suggestions for moving forward but also wanted to hear my thoughts too. Was very impressed and looking forward to working with the entire office.

Ill give them 4 stars, just because they did their job. I think its a Las Vegas thing where everyone has to be snooty. The doc was fine a bit condescending at times I felt but thats all irrelevant. They got me in for my flight physical same day. Just looked at me like a homeless person for bringing a book bag in with me. Nurse had a bad attitude, it was easy to see so I didnt engage any conservation. If you want it done this hole in the wall is the place to go, just dont expect any manners or anyone being nice, anywhere in vegas for that matter. Just because people are nice and chipper doesnt mean they do not realize when you are being a certain way. This is not a negative review :)

I have to start by saying that I have lived in Vegas since 2007 and I have NEVER found a family practice doctor here. In fact it’s almost scary in this town. Everything changed when I saw quick care 2x for a severe ear ache and pain....I yelped, yes, and this is how I found Dr.Owen’s office! I was HIGHLY IMPRESSED w the reviews. So I called in tears and extreme pain. And they were actually still closed ( it was early morning) but who answers the phone?!! THE Doctor HIMSELF! I was absolutely shocked!I told him my situation and he said right away, “ oh no, we can’t have that! You can’t be in pain like this! I’ll fit you in at 11 and we’ll have a look and we’ll figure this thing out!”ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!! I started balling and thanking him!I was met at the office right away and greeted by Brenda.. who appeared to be in the back office but she didn’t ignore me as she was sitting in the back part- she greeted me right away. Then I met Ann and she was so nice and terrific and gave me all my insurance info. They were lovely and kind!They got me back right away. Dr Owen was very knowledgeable and upfront with me. He even pulled up a diagram on his computer to show me exactly what was going on with my ear so I could understand. He gave me all my options and what he recommends. You can surely tell that he loves his patients and has passion for his work!Coming from a dental career working on patients myself, I know what to look for- a PRIVATE PRACTICE IS WHERE IT’s AT! I CANNOT BELIEVE I FOUND THIS IN VEGAS! Genuine, sincere & honest people! Who put patient care first!He and his staff are absolutely fantastic! I will be back for a full physical now that I finally found a great doctor I can trust!!!!Oh, and he does laser treatment, has an esthetician and also does Botox!!!! Don’t believe the reviews! When you fill out new patient paperwork, they have you agree to not give an online review of under 4 stars! That alone scared me from signing!
