Been here twice for two different things. First time found the Dr. imperious and patronizing and claiming I was imagining something (which I PT I went to quickly verified was exactly what was going on). Recently went for knee issues and the (different) Dr. said Id need an MRI, but failed to put in any paperwork. His teams lack of follow through means Ive now fallen into that time between leaving a job and COBRA paperwork being finished, so I have now been waiting in pain for weeks because of their poor follow through. I came here because the could fit me in quickly, but I would have been better off waiting for the higher rated place to fit me in.

This place is the absolute worst. It’s a factory for most patients in pain. You are simply a piece on an assembly line and treated exactly that way. I have no interest in ever ever returning to this toxic, angry environment to manage pain, let alone anything seriously needing attention, you won’t get it..I KNOW how respected and good the surgeons are there, and they are lucky to have them, Dr. Su especially. I bet he could work anywhere he wanted, he’s that good and respected throughout the community and beyond. Getting through to one of them, in your allotted time with any concerns and symptoms is nearly impossible, I feel bad for them, but they must have a voice in how that place is ran, which is POOR, substandard at best. The office staff is a clicky little girl gossip environment, and so very low low class. Come on, step up and pay for some real help and management over there.

I have been a patient in this office for 2 years. I have seen Dr Su couple of times and he has always been great. The office staff is totally diffrent. Every single oneof them I have talked to have been very rude. I had an appointment for a shot to my back this morning at 9.40. I drove one hour to make it to my appointment and I got there 6 minutes late because of traffic. And then I waited for two minutes for the receptionist to tell me that since I was 8 min. late I can not get my shot. Very diappointed because it has happened a couple of times that I have been on time and had to wait 30 minutes for the doctor to be available, but for being 6 minutes late I was not able to get my shot and I am in a lot of pain. So I called to talk to the office manager and after waiting on the line for 20 minutes the receptionist Jane told me that the office manager is very hard to get a hold of and will l get a call back. Which I never did. So I called back again and after waiting another 20 minutes I was told by receptionist Norma that the office manager is still not available. Not a very good experince at all.

Call me in a few days for results on fluid taken from surgery on your foot. If its infected, Ill prescribe an antibiotic. A week later, Im still waiting for a call back from Dr. P. Kim. I also called to reschedule an appointment due to a conflict - a week later, Im still waiting for a call back for a reschedule. This is not quality medical care. In fact, at the surgery, they were questioning me about past surgeries and my condition while using another patients chart. Neither the anesthetist nor nurse noticed the error. Dr. Paul Kim did, though. You would think they would call a patient back on such matters. This arrogance and incompetence by staff greatly angers me. The pandemic is no excuse.

The doctor we saw is good, but the front desk staff were rude. We visited twice and it was the case both times. They must really hate their jobs; however, they do not need to take it out on the patients. Even listening to the banter between staff, one staff asked another why she was in such a bad mood.

Its a shame they dont care enough to call you back... The doctors are great, they clearly know what theyre doing... but who in the heck is running this office? On-line hold times of 10-minutes or more. Now Im waiting more than 3-weeks to get an MRI scheduled. Now (3 weeks later) Im being told they already have me scheduled, but they scheduled it at the wrong location! Clearly theyre understaffed and thats dangerous!

I find the turnover of doctors concerning. My last visit the PA was so rude and made me feel she was doing me a favor the routine cortisone injection. As Dr Lawler only sees patients for sport medicine. The PA told me I am not a case for Dr Lawler.I began with Dr Kohane, then Hellman, then Daily and now who knows who is the new doctor. The injection for the first time is bothering me as it was not done in the usual location.Really, I should have left, as she suggested !

I had four surgeries with California Orthpedics & Spine; three with dr. Goltz and and one with dr. Paul Kim. In all four cases the results were outstanding. Dr. Goltz replaced my right knee and did corrective surgeries on both of my shoulders. Everything healed perfectly and I can almost as much as I could when I was about 45. I can ski and ocessionally I venture for a black diamond. Recently dr Kim replaced my ankle, not a common surgery, but it was too beat up, a result of my multiple injuries when I was young. Also, it turned out wonderfully. For the first time in 20 years I walk without a limp. I am almost 72 and I am amazed how nicely it all healed. There was some pain for a few days after the surgeries, but it was worth. If not scars on top of my knee and on top of my foot I would not know that I have artificial joints. Every single time I came to see either dr Goltz or dr Kim, the nurses were very kind and pleasant and I never had to wait longer than 10 minutes. I strongly recommend this clinic for the repair of an old body like mine.

Not impressed. After having had two calls dropped yesterday afternoon, finally got a call back today on the third call after a 20 minute wait. Explained that I wanted to book a single office visit for my g/f, and pay cash. They wanted $400 up front as a retainer, with anything overpaid to be refunded later.I understand that its normal for doctors offices to take c/c info before a visit if a patient is a no-show; but asking for $400 up front, just for an office visit? Perhaps this place only caters to the Marin Maserati set.Maybe the docs here are top notch; but considering how their front office works, its probably better to give this place a miss. Plenty of other orthopedic offices here in the Bay Area.

I have been going to see Lisa Elvin and Dr Byers for 13 years and I have nothing but good things to say for them. The overall communication used to not great but acceptable. They switched to a new, supposedly improved system that they claimed was going to lead to better patient service. I totally disagree and if I could give them zero stars, I would. Last week (Dec 23) I called and left a message saying that I needed to get my Rx filled and I still had enough for 7 days -- it took me 13 minutes just to do that (ridiculously long hold times). I checked Dec 30 online at my pharmacy and called the pharmacy, only to find that the received no order for my meds. So I called the doctors office and after 34 minutes and 4 calls (again, mostly on hold), I was told to again leave a message and the last call said that someone would call me back within minutes. Stupidly, I believed them only to have it pass 530 pm when all hope was gone that theyd call or call in my Rx. Today (Dec 31), with 2 calls for a total of 31 minutes, I called only to find that not only was Lisa out (which I knew from the online information) but her assistant (who had been in the previous day) was also out and that no one could fill my Rx. Until I was screaming at the poor person who answered the phone, I finally got someone, Chris (who said she was the office manager) who called me back and said that I could get my Rx but that I now have to drive the 35/40 minutes to their office to pick up a paper Rx! This is WORST experience I have EVER had with a doctors office and the only reason I am not switching to a different doctor at this point is because I have always had excellent service from Lisa Elvin. This kind of run around and lack of response and lack of responsibility about getting someone a refill of an absolutely needed pain killer is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and should i get another email from my insurance carrier wanting input about my doctor, I will certainly repeat my opinion about this ridiculous experience.

The first desk staff and nurses are RUDE!! I was made to wait 30 minutes because they were chatting about their tans. I’ve noticed a downgrade in the new generation of medical staff. They lack professionalism, honesty and kindness. The front deck staff really made the whole experience awful. However Dr. Kim is AMAZING!!! He’s extremely knowledgeable and takes his time.He should move to another office with staff that is as good as he is.

Dr.Nadu, is the best physician 👨‍⚕️ for pain. I had multiple procedures from Dr Nadu.He has help relieve my hip pain even after a total hip surgery, has saved me from having a total knee surgery, and now I am also pain free in my l lower back. Being a RN for over 40 years, most of my pain was due to past injuries. Dr. Nadu is very professional, patience, personable and has amazing hands with the procedures he can offer you. Ive seen three doctors here in the past year. Dr. Paul Kim (foot surgery), Dr. Oeschel (knee surgery) and Dr. Sponzilli (lumbar nerve block twice). All three are outstanding. Surgeries done without complication or post-op infection. Minimal post-op pain. The nurses and staff were professional and competent. I had great care at North Bay Surgery, which is where surgeries are done. When you are being repaired, you want a good mechanic- one who diagnoses the problem and fixes it without creating new ones. The rest is concierge service, which is a very distant second-order concern for me. My two cents about staff issues and scheduling is that two large groups merged in early 2018 to form California Orthopedics and Spine, and this merger was not seamless. But in my point of view, they are firing on all cylinders now. Lastly, with respect to challenges with office staff, Id like to reflect that we patients are going to California Orthopedics and Spine because we are injured, in pain, and oftentimes irritable. Office staff, unlike doctors and nurses, arent educated to be care givers, and so maybe others disappointment with them might originate in part from that circumstance.

Though I think Dr. Byers is a knowledgeable and personable orthopedic doctor, this is by far the worst run office Ive been to in a number of years. I had a long time friend that just had ankle surgery & had wonderful results no pain after 18 yrs., with Dr Paul Kim .Then I made an appt. With Dr Paul Kim..he listened to me, & agreed there where other options then fusing. I didnt want a peg leg & 6-16 week recovery. I had my surgery a week ago, yes it has been painful. But so glad I went with Dr Paul Kim. The office has always been understanding that I have a drive of 4 hrs to see him, very accommodating.Their surgical center staff & the nurses are outstanding.Looking forward to having my stitches out next week.

In both instances, responses from the medical staff were not helpful, in fact calls and texts were not returned..I had the feeling that even after I had stated that I had had a severe reaction previously- that information was not added to my chart and the same medication wasinjected a second time- only after I called several times was my call returned and the dosage and brand name added to my chart- I am currently looking for better care..

I have been treated both in Greenbrae and Novato for several years now by several doctors. I have seen Dr Lawler, Dr Cable, Dr Sponzilli, Dr Kelly and most recently Dr Thomas Kim. Dr Kim treated my badly fractured wrist which needed surgical intervention. He is very patient and compassionate and took the time to explain the procedure that would take place and answer all my questions. I left the office feeling very confident. I had no post operative issues. Ive never had any of the issues with the staff, front desk, or phone that people mentioned in their reviews. The front desk staff has always been very professional and respectful to me. I would not hesitate to refer my friends and family to this office. All the doctors are fantastic and each has a specialty which in my opinion makes for a better experience.

While I hope to see Dr. Su next month when I called yesterday to make an appointment I was told that he had an opening today at 11:20. When I arrived I was told he was on vacation! I was then given his card with his extension and was told I would have to call to reschedule. I left a message with his scheduler explaining the situation. After not hearing from them by late afternoon today I called again and was told that I had an appointment with a different doctor yesterday at 11:20! I didn’t even call to make the appointment with Dr. Su until yesterday afternoon. I really hope this is an isolated incident however maybe more staff would be able to better determine who’s on vacation before scheduling appointments.

I have had ongoing lower and upper back/nerve pain. The had gone to see a spine specialist at another practice and had a less than satisfactory experience. I finally decided to try someone different, so I contact Mt. Tam Orthopedics and Spine Center. My initial appointment with Dr. Sponzilli felt very comfortable and I liked his approach of really finding out exactly where the pain is coming from. With several different spine issues going on and still recovering from a knee surgery, it can be difficult to get to the source/sources. I have had one non steroid injection and it took the pain down a few notches. What I appreciated the most was the care the entire team took when handling me. I was scared having had a negative experience previously with another practice and this time it was completely different. Dr. Sponzilli was very careful and gentle. I have also spoken with Dr. Su, and he is extremely proactive in getting his patients the care they need and promptly. What a great team!

The worst experience EVER! My daughter had an accident and we went to Marin General. Went to this practice because that was the referral. Took 5 days to schedule an appointment (their excuse, had wrong phone number to call back and wasnt apologetic), then finally gone to see the doctor. Then was told MRI is needed, and that theyll do paper work with my insurance. Ive called the office a few times in the past 10 days asking status, vague answer. In the meantime Ive been calling insurance to see if they got pre-authorization request and they dont see any! I spent ton of time with insurance company as well to double check/triple check. In the meantime my daughter is in crutches and suffering in pain. This is totally unacceptable. I have gone to Drs in all 5 countries I lived in, and this has been the worst experience. Cant recommend anyone to go there. BTW, I have a premium insurance that require no pre-authorization (for most MRIs which I told the Drs office too). I am beyond upset with their practice. First time I am actually writing a review on Google, because I dont want others to have to go through what I went through. Do NOT go there. Worst service! They could have had the money for MRI, but they are so lame.

I had my clavicle repaired here by Dr Goff. He is a skilled surgeon I suppose I cant complain. My scar looks great. But he has a poor bedside manner. Im a wildland firefighter and I was in a motorcycle accident. When faced with the devastating cost of my surgery he looked me straight in the eye and said, this is why you should of had health insurance. I was in pain and away from home so I did not have much choice. I went ahead with the surgery. Half paid up front half will be billed to me latter. All care for 3 months after surgery is included, except it wasnt. Dr. Goff is okay, Mount Tam Ortho billing department is a disgrace. I can not believe how much they have jacked me around. Bill is all paid oh now its not. No No xrays are not included Okay thank you for you recent payment Whoops we did not get here is a late feeI would not recommend going here even if you have insurance.
