I am very pleased with the results of my invisalign. I had a complicated mouth and my quick results are amazing. The office staff couldnt have been kinder or friendlier. If I had an issue they always immediately booked me an appointment and helped fix whatever the issue was. In particular Kiauna was so warm, welcoming and friendly. She made an effort to remember things about me and chat with me all while doing fabulous work on the various things I needed to do for my teeth. Both doctors knew me, and my mouth well and did everything to make me comfortable and satisfied with the results. LOVE my smile!

Dr. Gorton has a precise eye not only for aesthetics, but knows what it takes to create a healthy, functional smile that will last a lifetime if you wear your retainers as instructed. She takes a unique approach to treatment in that she not only sees your concerns as they currently appear, but also sees what you dont notice, but will notice as your smile starts to transform throughout the treatment process. Her approach goes above and beyond by correcting any functional concerns in order to avoid future dental issues, such as the need for crowns from the bite being off etc. Treatment may seem daunting at first, but it has the potential to save you thousands of dollars later down the road. Before seeing Dr. Gorton I had two other orthodontists and my general dentists take a look at my receding gum line on the lower anterior and they had nothing to say about it. The problem is they only noticed aesthetics and they were correct in that my teeth were perfectly straight, but they did not notice my top front teeth slamming into the lower front teeth. The first time I met Dr. Gorton she was able to tell me right away why I was losing so much bone and gum tissue and had a solution right then and there. To this day Im so thankful to finally have a comfortable, healthy smile.

I readily recommend the expert team at Dr Gorton and Dr Schmohl Orthodontics office. My 7-year olds new front teeth came in with a big space and an overbite, and her regular dentist voiced concern over possible accidental breakage in this situation. I had two consultations with other orthodontists before being referred to Dr Gorton and Dr Schmohl, but seeing the traditional go-to options of wire expanders and braces and picturing them in my daughters mouth made me feel uneasy and concerned for her discomfort, as well as whether we would be able to maintain dental hygiene. To my relief, Dr Gorton saw my daughter and said she would be able to make Invisalign work for her Phase 1 treatment, even though typically it is not done until a patient is closer to teen age. She worked her magic and it worked out great for us. My daughters teeth were fully corrected over about only 6 months. Both doctors saw her throughout treatment process and addressed all our concerns, for which I am very grateful. The team at the office is very nice and professional. Little prizes make visits a treat for a kid. Invisalign did its job causing almost no discomfort. It was easy to keep the teeth and trays clean, and was a good responsibility lesson for a kid to remember to put the aligners on and to brush regularly. Now she is no longer at higher risk to knock out her front teeth and her smile looks great. A big Thank You!

My daughter has braces on her bottom teeth and we had a virtual appointment via Zoom with Dr Gorton this week (during Shelter in Place). It was easy and efficient. I am grateful that they are seeing patients like this, answering questions and scheduling follow ups. Prior to the appointment, the office sent a Zoom link for the meeting. I also got a text notification to remind me of the appointment with a link to a video tutorial on how to take (easy!) pictures of my daughters mouth to text back to them. When we met, Dr Gorton was able to see what was/is going on and what needs to be done. And their office is ready to go with all protection in place when they are given the green light to re-open (in a new way). Very impressed!

Had some previous dental work that was due for an update but in order to get a significant improvement in the crowns, the bite needed to be corrected in the front. The doctors have been patient with my approaching treatment at my own pace and I look forward to seeing the final results when my bite is corrected. And also my 12 year old daughter started her Invisalign treatment a few months ago and has been super easy and smooth. Dr. Gorton has an incredible team, everyone is really nice and friendly.

Working at the Gorton and Schmohl Orthodontic clinic was honestly a life-changing experience. Despite it being my first job, the dental assistants were very patient and provided me with ample advice on how to not only improve at the assigned tasks, but how to communicate and collaborate in a professional setting. Despite the fast-paced environment of the clinic, the skilled orthodontists, Dr. Gorton and Dr. Sona, always made themselves available to answer my questions and expand my understanding of the workings of an orthodontist clinic.Although I was working during the COVID-19 pandemic, not once did I fear for my safety or health. The orthodontists and dental assistants always wore proper PPE on the clinic floor, and even during lunch break, masks were always worn when we were gathered together. We ate lunch separately to avoid potential transmission. Everyday, all the orthodontists and assistants underwent screening questions and had their temperature checked prior to entry. Furthermore, after every procedure in the side room, the room was fogged with a solution to get rid of any aerosols that may have occurred during the procedure. There were almost no procedures that took place in the main room that required aerosols, and everyday during lunch breaks, the main room was also fogged. During lunch break, all the handles, waiting room benches, and clinic-side tables were also wiped down. The three UV-light filters in the main room, waiting room, and side room were also always on as an extra layer of precaution. After all patients had left, we once again fogged both rooms and wiped down all handles.To ensure employee and patient safety, all patients were required to wear masks at all times, except during procedures. Patients were only allowed to bring one guardian. Every patient and guardian that entered had their temperatures checked and responded to all our screening questions. Every patient also had their mouths rinsed with mouthwash prior to their appointment. When scheduling appointments, patients were either advised to schedule online or stand 6 ft apart from the receptionist, who had two plastic screens to minimize potential droplet transmission.For anyone in the dental field, I would highly recommend working at the Gorton and Schmohl Orthodontics clinic. Everyone was patient and kind during my time here, and the many health precautions made me feel comfortable and reassured that I would be able to work at my full potential without having to worry about my personal health.

We recently had a virtual appointment with Dr. Gorton for my daughters Invisalign treatment. I was so impressed with how well the appointment went! They asked for a series of photos to be submitted (with very simple instructions on how to take them) and at the time of the appointment they had them up on the screen and were able to accurately analyze my daughters progress based on her charts, and show us exactly where she is with her treatment plan. Dr. Gorton was even able to determine that my daughter no longer needs to wear her rubber bands during the day! I was so glad that we were able to have a virtual appointment and confidently feel that we are moving forward with her treatment plan, even during these crazy times.

My son just finished two years of treatment at G&S. In the entire two years the staff has been absolutely wonderful and accommodating. The work they did on my son has been nothing short of amazing. Both my kids are currently patients at Gorton and Schmohl. We are very happy with our care. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the doctors are very knowledgeable and compassionate. My son had a challenging problem with an under-bite and crowding, and he is a very sensitive patient. He started treatment when he was 8 and they used the most cutting edge, non invasive treatment. My son no longer has an under-bite and his teeth are straight, and he now has room for his adult teeth to come in. He is one of very few patients who has received this non-invasive plan at such a young age. We were very impressed and highly recommend them.

I came in for a problem in my bite, called an open bite. This is actually a very challenging thing to fix. Gorton was the ONLY orthodontist willing to take on this harrowing challenge. I am now finished and am incredibly happy with the results. My smile has never looked this good. My bite is now perfect! I feel like gorton is a miracle worker. Its always fun coming into this office. Very nice ambiance, well decorated, clean, and professional office. The staff was amazing! They were so well trained, skilled, and nice. Plus high tech, state of the art, cutting edge, top of the line equipment is all they use. I have recommended this orthodontist office to many people and I will continue to. Cant believe how thrilled I am with the results!

Wonderful place with fantastic doctors. I love the two main doctors that are there and the new one they hired as well. Their staff is superb with one exception. It is a modern and comfortable place to wait with an informative television. Everyone on the staff is great except for Lindsey who does not seem to care about patients and is always in a bad mood.

My daughter has had truly unbelievable results with invisalign with no pain. This still seems shocking to me on a daily basis as I had regular braces. What a gift!! Every single person at the practice treats all of us like the most important patient they have. From scheduling (and REscheduling) appointments to questions over and over about the process to siblings dipping into the prize basket after playing video games - everyone there is patient and thorough. After years of braces and an uncomfortable metal retainer, my teeth were still left crooked. Six years after I got my braces taken off I decided to try for straight teeth again and turned to Drs. Gorton and Schmohl. I wanted straight teeth, but I also wanted to be free from the chains of braces. Meeting Drs. Gorton and Schmohl and hearing about the invisalign plan they had for me was a game changer for my smile, and I’m extremely thankful for their practice!

For many years I was told that the only option to correct my under bite was an ugly sounding operation. I resisted until the age of 50 but was repeatedly warned that I had to do something. I realized that but was never convinced or confident enough about the specialists I talked to. That was until I met Jasmine Gorton. She is a fanatic at her job, a perfectionist and someone who clearly loves what she does. Thank goodness for that. She took the time to explain why I didnt really have an option, that something had to be done. Right away I found myself believing her. She claimed that she could correct my problem without surgery (no one has ever said that) and within a limited time frame as I was about to relocate to the UK. She gave me confidence and she did not disappoint. My treatment has lasted for about 2 years. It sometimes uncomfortable and occassionaly painful but I have been blown away by the care and focus given to me, by the willingness to answer my smallest concerns. I believe that my treatment has been at the forefront of the orthodontic profession (at one point Dr Gorton invited a specialist to install screws into my jaw bone and 6 other orthodontists came to watch and learn) and so my feeling was that there could have been no better way to undergo my particular procedures. I have had wires, screws, invisalign, acceledent, Micro-osteoperforation, elastics and all kinds of paraphernalia and I have never once doubted Dr Gortons ability and focus on the task. Every time I visited the office I could tell that a huge amount of work was going on in the background after hours. Here I am at the end of the treatment and I cannot believe the result. It is simply incredible what Dr Gorton has been able to achieve. If you are considering treatment at Gorton & Schmol you are lucky because you have found the right place. I cannot recommend the practice highly enough. Not only is Dr Gorton an incredible expert in her field, she is supported by a superb team of lovely and able assistants to all of whom I am incredibly grateful. Thank you.
