I’m a professional beach volleyball player, been training here for 6 months and it’s changed my game big time. Coach Ryan is one of the smartest people in this field that I’ve met, the programming is thoughtful and has the right amount of flexibility for how unpredictable life and training can be.

I cannot rave enough about Physical Culture Gym! I decided to sign up for their 6 week challenge on a whim. Something needed to change, and this just showed up on my feed at the right time.I knew right off the bat that this place would be a good fit for me. I did not feel rushed or pressured but instead feet welcomed and encouraged to try something new and to push my limits a little. The staff was friendly and informative. Sylvia, who became my accountability coach, took the time to answer all my questions and made it easy to decide to take a leap of faith.Classes were easy to sign up for and coaches were wonderfully supportive. Even though these were classes, they were still able to offer the level of individualized support and modification necessary to help me succeed.Throughout my journey, there was nothing but continued encouragement by coaches and members alike. This gym is truly like no other and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to push themselves. Try them out, and I guarantee youll come out better than when you first walked in the door. I know I did!

I used to be PHYSICALLY stressed and anxious like every day I could feel it in my chest, my head, lots of negative self talk, looked down everywhere I walked, always wanted to wear something big and covering, never owned a bathing suit??? Yes even in FL!!I thought gym memberships were for rich people (yes even the $10 ones 😂) and that I would never have the time or energy to go to one even if I wanted to. I thought eating healthier was more expensive and too much work. But boy was I wrong!!It’s not impossible. You have to be determined to change your life. This isn’t a fad. You will get out of this what you put into it. And I feel like I finally gained control of my body and my life maybe for the first time ever.♥️♥️♥️

A few years ago I was full of energy and wearing a size 2. After getting pregnant with my beautiful baby girl, I found myself with all the challenges of a new mom. I didn’t have a lot of time or energy to eat properly and got up to a size 8.With a new toddler on the run I knew I had to do something to keep up with her and get back into feeling like myself.I found this advertisement for a gym in largo called Physical Culture on Facebook. I was skeptical but after reading some of the testimonies felt optimistic they could help me.I am so glad I made that step and schedule my apt. I instantly fell in love with the owners and their daily operation. Physical Culture offers a 6 week challenge to help get you on the right track, which includes a selection of hour long classes throughout the day. They even include a nutritional guide with recipes! The coaches are super supportive and encourage you to strive for your goals.I didn’t have a set goal weight when I started because for me it was all about how I felt physically and being a better mom. This program exceeded my expectations and allowed me to feel stronger. I am now able to keep up with my daughter with ease and I am currently a size 4!

I signed up for the 6 week challenge and I absolutely loved it! I pretty much became addicted to going to the gym and not in the bad way. I just became a happier, healthier version of myself because of this place! The coaches here are awesome; very knowledgeable and helpful! I love that even though they had a lot of students they pay attention to each one; coaching, assisting and pushing us to be a little better each class. If you are considering trying it out, do it! You wont be sorry!

This Gym is amazing, its the perfect fit for people who are serious about making a change in your life to be healthy. I was pretty physically active in school I remember being around 215lb after finishing my senior year football season(2011). Afterwards however I didnt do anything physically demanding since, I worked a normal desk job and when I started going to the classes I was 255lb. After 6 weeks of classes (I prefer the Rise and Grind morning workouts)and eating the right foods I was able to lose 21lbs and still going. This isnt a diet or a get slim quick trick. The change isnt going to happen overnight. By putting in the effort and feeling the difference in my strength and endurance, challenging myself with each workout, getting to see the results now has made it all the more worth it for me.

This is truly an establishment with high quality professionals who understand training with the proper range of motion, staying in a pain free range, but also pushing you to get stronger, faster, have better mobility, and improve your health. The class settings allow you to push yourself and be motivated by your peers and there are paces for every stage of athletic ability. Ive seen professional athletes walk through the doors and people who are new to exercise, in either circumstance they are warmly met and well received as long as they are coming through the door with a positive attitude and a will to work out. Also the ability to schedule out your classes online makes planning and accountability easier. While Ive only been back in the gym for a short time, the energy here is addicting and I am enjoying every facet of this facility and the training staff.

Great gym , trainers/coaches , atmosphere.Starts from the beginning - walking through the door to welcoming people smiling ready to help improve your life. Like many others I’ve been to lots of other gyms and attempted to do things on my own to save money or because I thought I knew it all.. man have I been wrong ! I took the chance here and it paid off ! The technique and style in which you learn is like no other .. the trainers/coaches/ owners are truly there to help & support you ! I’ve never once witnessed a negative interaction or awkward situation. They ensure that the environment is always a 10/10.Regardless of the class being 20 people or 4 people the coaches are still teaching and pushing you the same way, making you feel great along the way. This is the best I’ve felt in years and years! Initially I thought there is no way I’m paying this to workout ... but I can honestly say the experience I’ve had for the 6 weeks has blown away expectations & I will be continuing to build @physical culture . Can you really put a price on your short term & long term health ? NO you can’t stop making excuses and start the journey.Thank you all

I signed up at this gym for a 6 week challenge on a whim from an ad on Facebook.I have had a rough time losing weight and sticking to any form of diet. I have joined gym after gym over the years and have never EVER stuck to it for more than maybe 2 weeks? I am now on my 8th week of going 4 times a week and I absolutely LOVE it. I am completely addicted to these classes. The coaches are awesome and have helped me tremendously. They pay attention to my form and they make it fun! I leave every single day sweating my butt off but feel AMAZING.The best part is that I can SEE a huge difference in my body. I am sleeping better.. my energy is much higher and I am just generally happier.Could not recommend this gym more.

I love Physical Culture Gym and what it represents. These past six weeks I have learned the difference between exercising to be active vs. having an Active Lifestyle. A lifestyle of being healthy, active, and energized is a culture I will continue to embrace. Every coach here at Physical Culture Gym takes there time to teach fundamentals and proper technique. Most importantly they share their knowledge and passion with every member! I’m excited to call this place my new Home Gym and I look forward to setting new goals while overcoming future challenges. Thanks to everyone who made this opportunity possible! 👊🏽 #PhysicalCultureGym

This place is exactly what I was looking for! Physical Culture Gym is a facility that can help people at all levels of fitness and movement. My personal goal was to improve my mobility, so I have taken the Kinstretch classes and have made tremendous improvements in my range of motion within a short period of time. While taking the classes, I have seen gyms members who have ranged from high-level athletes to elderly people who want to still move around at a high level. The entire staff knows all the members by their first names and the staff also consists of several very experienced and successful strength and conditioning coaches. Very reasonable prices and convenient location.

I took a chance and signed up for Physical Cultures 6 week challenge. I can honestly say, they surpassed my expectations! No gym offers trainers and an environment like they do. Its way more than just a gym.My first impressions from my consultation with Sylvia made me feel comfortable and important. She made sure my personal goals were understood and was very thorough when asking about my strengths and weaknesses. (pertaining to any past injuries and movement restrictions.) My first week in classes wasnt awkward in the slightest. I was pleasantly surprised with the attentiveness of the trainers. They have a vast knowledge of technique and form and enjoy answering questions. Each and every one of them has their own unique teaching style and It makes for an enjoyable class. 1 hour classes FLY by!By my second and third week I was signing up for 2 or 3 classes in a row, 3 or 4 days a week.I joined to lose weight and lost 7% body fat, 15lbs!So whether your looking to lose weight, gain muscle, sports training (youth or adult), or learn the variety of martial arts they offer, youll probably find yourself like me and doing it all.Is training suppose to be fun? Cause its sure is when Im here.If your reading this and considering joining the family and bettering your life, please dont hesitate. Id love to welcome you myself when you come to class. Its just what we do here at Physical Culture.

Signed up for the advertised FREE 6 week challenge which after being at the orientation for forever (about 2 hours) and Slyvia convincing me that I NEEDED this in my life she casually says so it’s ONLY 399.00. I said no she opted for me to pay 39 a week to join then gym which they would ultimately end up getting almost 2,000 dollars from me over the course of a year. Which was a win win on their end. False advertisement. The 399.00 then can get applied to your account if you choose to stay but if not that’s the cost of the challenge. Your then expected to pay another few hundred dollars on vitamins. Complete scam. The entire process they want you to market their business. Legit there’s a schedule for you to post about them leaving little time to even focus on the challenge. The meals are extremely unhealthy ultimately making you feel ill. Terrible experience. You can tell Sylvia and her husband are extremely money hungry and care nothing about you as everything was downhill after the payment was made. Sadly that’s the world we live in these days. As for Sylvia’s response the fact of the matter is there is nothing FREE about your program so how is anyone suppose to trust anything you have to offer when you lie about the prices. DO NOT try to act as if I was not compliant or budgeting was the issue. I suppose that’s what you have to write to continue to make yourself look good. I’ve actually been doing well now that I’m not starving myself. Of course anyone would see results when they’re starving themselves like your program ask for. Your prewritten diet is faulty when every individual is different. This all goes back to you milking customers for money to promote you with nothing in return. I will continue to deter people from this scam.

This place is a scam. when i signed up, i informed them that I get relocated often for work and they assured me it would be no problem to cancel my membership if I had to move over 20 mi away. ive been trying to get in contact with them for 2 months about how to cancel my membership and cannot get a reply. $50/week when you can go to a better gym for $99/month. do your research & dont waste your money.

I have worked out at many gyms with different styles of programming over the years and I can honestly tell you that I am so happy to have found Physical Culture Gym and that I decided to do the free mobility screening and first work out. I will be a member for life. I look forward to every workout with this great community of people.I am very impressed with the professional level of service coach Michael and coach Ryan provide and their knowledge of fitness. They are attentive and make sure everyone is doing exercises and movements to their skill levels. Even in a group class with multiple people of all skill levels I feel as though I have a personal trainer who knows me, my limitations, my strengths and is working to push and challenge me to safely improve my skills.I am learning so much about using good form and utilizing my muscles properly. under their instruction, my strength and mobility is coming back and better than ever after suffering a couple minor working out related injuries (while at a different gym, lower back and tennis elbow).Thank you Sylvia, Michael and Ryan for all that you do.

As a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer I would trust both Michael and Ryan with any patient. I joined the gym blindly only knowing the names through a classmate who is also in PT school. I only have great things to say about the two and the gym. Each day I go in, I learn something new from whom ever is coaching me while getting a killer workout. They are true professionals who know how to modify workouts to each individuals abilities or around current injuries that an individual may have. The gym also provides many unique group classes that are fun and challenging. If you are looking to improve your performance as an athlete or just overall fitness these two get the job done plain and simple. Do not hesitate joining this gym because you will get top notch coaching and the results you are looking for.

First, let me start off by saying that Ryan, Michael, and Ray had very good classes. I’m very shy when it comes to working out but I can honestly say that their classes are very good. I’m usually either happy or really tired after a workout with these guys. They seem to care about what they want to put into their classes. I felt like I want to follow them because they are really fit.If this was a review on the classes alone, I would whole heartedly give a 5/5. However, the membership I signed up with was a terrible choice for me. I really wish that they didn’t keep insisting what they were doing was right because it was incredibly unfair. I signed up with a facebook clickbait ad for a “free 6 week challenge”. Big mistake. It was $400 for six weeks if I lost 25 lbs in six weeks. The CDC and just about everywhere you read says that you should only be losing a maximum of 2 lbs a week. Just because you can lose more than that does not mean that it is good for your body. There was an option for people to lose 6% of their weight, which would have been an easy 1-2 lbs for me. But, they gave me the more difficult option. I’ve seen other women right around my size and weight with only a 6% loss challenge and I swear, that is INFURIATING. They kept trying to show me success stories with their current members, but I swear not one of the women LOST 25lbs. It doesn’t matter whatever meal plan that they are putting out for people to do. They were expecting me to lose over 4 lbs a week for six weeks! If you thought that was the only bad part, you are wrong. Then, they told me that my deposit of $400 would be “pretty much” given back to me if I signed up for their weekly unlimited classes for $30 a week. That was a $9 discount from their regular price of $39 a week. WOW. Of course I’ll save $400 after 52 weeks but I would have spent $1560 for GROUP CLASSES a year! How can you justify asking for so much money when there’s gyms everywhere with group classes asking for only $20-30 a month?1. They should have offered me other options. I would have gladly spent $40 a week for six weeks, paying $240 instead of $400 for some quack impossible UNHEALTHY challenge.2. If I’m paying $400 for 6 weeks at a gym, you better have a nice sauna, fresh towels, valet parking, and free smoothies. There’s only two showers and during a mid-day use, I saw that it wasn’t frequently cleaned out that day. The plaza that this gym is in is an utter and complete DUMP and I wish I just walked out like I initially wanted.3. I just wished I went to Iron Fit Performance instead.Buyer beware. Maybe they will only ask you to lose 6% of your body weight. I don’t know why they set me up for failure from the get go, but I hope their actions towards me is worth it to them. Bad testimonials don’t have to happen. I’ve given them countless chances to rectify this without being too pushy and we just couldn’t reach a good medium. I wasn’t even asking for money back. If they would have offered me something to make up for overcharging me, I wouldn’t be writing this pain scathingly long review.
