Dr. Keene is an exceptional physician with a wide range of knowledge and compassion for his patients. He has been my doctor and trusted advisor for many years, and has even performedout-patient surgeries as needed. Anyone looking for a good doctor should understand theoccasional need to wait while the doctors handling emergencies. Doctor Keene is a great doctor, and I never mind an occasional wait knowing hell provide me the same focus and supportive care he shows all his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Keene for 20 years. He is an excellent doctor and always concerned about my well being. He takes his time to explain things in a way I understand. My doctor appointments are not always my favorite things to do, however I always enjoy seeing Dr. Keene. I highly recommend him if you get an opportunity to get an appointment with him.

Very diligent and thorough as a GP. Dr. Keene has been one of the few doctors that always seems to be current on the latest medical practices. He is willing to listen to the patient and that is a big plus.

I had an absolutely horrible experience, and immediately switched PCP after my appointment. I waited more than an hour for a 30 second visit from Dr Keene where he refused to listen to me about my concerns and only focused on my shoulder (I do not have any shoulder problems nor did I imply that I wanted his advice on my shoulder at all). He then went on to tell me that I should just become a “Fit Girl” to fix my shoulder. Again, I have no shoulder problems. Now I will have to go see a real doctor for the issue that Dr Keene never addressed.

Dr. Keene has been my Primary Care Doctor for the past 15 years.12 years ago Dr. Keene found a stage 6 myeloma cancer on my body that a dermatology Dr. did not diagnosis, Dr. Keen removed it in his office and prescribed cautionary follow-up treatment.In the following 10 years Dr. Keene has found 4 additional myelomas. Dr. Keene also treats and monitors my diabetes and high blood pressure. 10 years ago I moved to Ocala Fl, 125 miles from his office. Dr. Keene is worth all the drive time and office waiting time for his superb diagnosis and treatment. He has helped me live a healthy life. I am 80 years old. Gary L

Look Doc my time is JUST as important as yours. If you give me an appointment time I expect you to adhere to it. Three appointments and all three times I am left siting in your waiting room for over an hour. Somehow you can justify charging for missed appointments yet I have no recourse for waiting over an hour PLUS to see you. WRONG!!! I waited patently for over an hour after my appointment time today and decided its not me at all, I just have the wrong doctor so I left and will have all my records sent to my new doctor. BYE-BYE!!!

Great doctor. Wait times can be long but that is because he takes his time with each patient. Sometimes he moves quickly if you have a simple problem that can be handled easily. Rest assured that if there is something serious, he does not rush. So when I wait for him, I know someone needed his experience more. Well worth the wait because he truly cares about his patients. I have been in both situations with him, so I know...sometimes I am rushed through with a cold, or he stays long when I have a more serious situation.

Ive been a patient of Dr Keene for many a year, and love how thorough and knowledgeable he is. His appointments generally run a little bit behind, but when your with the Dr. you understand why. He has compassion & great bed side manner, takes the time to listen and solve your ailment. I would recommend him.

Dr. Keene does not value your time. Long wait times for 2 seconds of his time. Always seems to be in a rush and not truly interested in ones health care.

Saw Dr Keene few days ago for my follow up at ER... hes quick yet thorough and answers questions perfectly..he is terrific!again. Dr . J. Keene is direct and I feel brilliant!He knows allot about all medical conditions meds and .. and referrals for Doctors as a vwry goodPCP. Thanks..He is an excellent doctor I feel. Kind and extremely knowledgeable. He has given me help me with with every health concern I have have had. I can trust him and recommend him and his conscientious staff and Robyn his PA very highly.

Used my time at work to make my appointment at 345PM. They took me back to the exam room And I ended up leaving at 5PM because the Dr never came. The wait time is pretty ridiculous and inconsiderate. He may not use his time wisely or perhaps overbooks. The only empathetic and caring front desk rep is Tabatha. I appreciated that she was able to meet request for a reschedule.

Been a patient of Dr. Keene for 15+ years at the referral of a friend. Dr. Keene is patient and can relate to his patients and doesnt talk down to you like some Doctors do. He treats you like a regular person and spends time time listening you. I have referred Dr. Keene to my friends and hightly recommend him to all those looking for a primary care Doctor.

I had chest pains for months, after two visits to an urgent care, one visit to the emergency room and one follow up visit with a cardiologist I was at my wits end. Nothing wrong could be found, numerous EKGs, X-rays etc all turned up nothing. I was referred to Dr. Keene by a friend, he immediately found the issue and handled it. He takes the time to talk with you and understand the issue and find a solution.

My physician retired, diagnostic clinic referred me to Dr. Keene. I had an appt with Dr. Keene at 11am. I was there early, WAITED 2 HOURS! 2HOURS!!!!I asked the MA/nurses, they kept saying youll be seen soon. I finally see him at 1:05pm, he rushes through my exam and didnt have the courtesy to apologize. He blamed it on the clinic, insurance, not having enough doctors etc.... Im switching physicians ASAP. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THE DIAGNOSTIC CLINIC IN LARGO.

Do not waste your time with the pompous man. You will wait long hours in the office to a doctor who choses to plaster his educational degrees on his wall to compensate for lack of knowledge and general courtesy towards patients. He will not refill medications unless he charges you for unecessary follow up appointments to keep his salary up. Two day to receive a response on a prescription request for a common medication and no return calls from his office staff. Not to mention the long wait times on the phone just to try and get a person after pressing numbers for multiple prompts. Overall the service and care are disgusting. He can take his cowboy boots and put them where the sun doesnt shine. What a joke.

To busy, over book can not help people, like he should, it all about the money

I am currently in the waiting room for this doctor and I have been waiting for an hour. I asked how long it would be and the receptionist tells me thats Dr. Keene as if this is accepted in his practice so I should accept it too. I will not be returning!
