It’s great, the staff is awesome. Dr. Sherman is great and the communication is great. They are on time and they follow up in a timely manner. They have brand new equipment and a beautiful new building. I have nothing but good things to say about this place and I would highly recommend Dr. Sherman and this office to anyone.

What a joke he is! Sent me away without letting me get a word in. Went to the ER who found kidney stone and fluid in my kidney. He claims he doesnt use ultrasounds only ct scans. Since mine was fine I was told there is nothing wrong with me and nothing he can do. He did confirm my ultra but I guess he picks and chooses who he wants to help. Such a jerk and awful beside manner. He offered to send me to a back pain specialist even though my records showed kidney issues!

Dr. Sherman is an intelligent physician with a great bedside manner. After having pain for two weeks, I was referred to his office and his staffed scheduled me for an appointment that week. I recently had my first baby and experienced a couple urologic issues after delivery necessitating a urology consult while I was admitted. Dr. Sherman was personable, patient and listened to my concerns about my care while we came up with a plan forward together that we were both comfortable with. At my follow up visit as an outpatient the following week, he again worked with me on a plan of care that addressed both our goals. Furthermore, his office staff were courteous and professional. I would recommend Dr. Sherman to anyone in my family for their urologic needs.

Dr Christopher Sherman is the best Urologist in Tampa Bay. While no one enjoys visiting a urologist, and I certainly didn’t, Dr Sherman expertly diagnosed and treated my bladder & prostate problems. It took about 3 months of anxiety/treatments, but today I can celebrate a return to normalcy thanks to Dr Sherman.I’d give him 10-stars if possible.

When Dr. Ross was part of the practice, I loved being their patient. Since he retired, I am very disappointed with both Dr. Sherman and the practice in general. I had a kidney stone that had to be removed, which they did a decent job of working with Morton Plant to schedule. But after the surgery trying to get hold of the office - first for a return to work note and a follow up appointment, and then because I was having serious pain and complications - was horrible. No one is answering their phones when you call for an appointment, you just have to hit a key to leave a message, and while someone usually calls back that day, it is not a person who can really handle anything, she just passes it off to someone. Those someones either do not return calls or wait days to do so. I ended up having to spend 5 1/2 hours in the emergency room for something the doctor could have taken care of if they had cared enough to call me back. I will never return to that office.

If you hear the words Advanced Urology Institute, RUN. I take care of my 99 year old Father. He did have another doctor under AUI and we liked him. I cant remember his name but he retired and we were then appointed Dr. Sherman. Anyway, my Father had his appointment with Dr. Sherman and my Father was prescribed yet another medication for his enlarged prostate. So now my Father is taking a water pill for his heart, myerbetriq for his constant urination and flowmax for his prostate. I am not happy with this combination but felt the doctor knew what he was doing. My Father had an appointment back in March when covid started so he never made it to that appointment. I then tried contacting the office to reschedule an appointment. No answer, so I left a message that it was important that I set up another appointment so that my Father could continue to take his medications. No call back. I called several times and left messages and no call back. I even went to the office and stood there for 15 minutes while the receptionist was on the phone with another patient and completely ignored me. I looked at her and said, You not only just lost a patient, you lost a customer, and I walked out.I then proceeded to look for another urologist and low and behold, I find out that almost every urologist in Pinellas County is under Advanced Urology Institute. Ok, I thought. Ill take Dad to Doctor Heron in St. Pete. New Doctor, new office but under AUI. We went to the appointment and my Father was unable to go to leave a specimen so they told me to bring it back. We went on a Thursday and they said they close early on Fridays. I asked what time and I was told 3:00pm. So my Father proceeds to fill the bottle the next morning and hands it to me. Oh boy, I thought. Im trying to get stuff done around here and now I have to run up there out of my way to drop off a specimen. So I finished all of my chores including getting Dad up and giving him breakfast, doing his laundry, making up his bed and doing the dishes. I was out of the house by 12:30 pm to go out of my way to drop off the specimen. I was told they closed at 3:00 pm so I thought I had plenty of time to get there. But no. I pull in and the office is closed. Not a single person in sight.Ok, I thought. Ill keep the specimen hanging around all weekend and Ill take it on Monday morning when I am on my way to see my surgeon. I had to leave extra early to go to see my surgeon just so I could drop off the specimen. So I get there and of course they are busy because we are so over populated because everybody wants to move to Florida. (We are native Floridians). I told the receptionist that I was in a hurry and I just needed to drop my Fathers specimen. She looks at me and she jumps back like I am some kind of disease and says, I dont take any specimens. I said, What do you mean you dont take any specimens. I need to drop this off. Another nurse behind her asked Does it have his name and date of birth on it?. I said Yes. You all printed it. He then said You need to leave it in the carousel in the bathroom. Ok, then someone jumped in the bathroom just as I turned around to put the specimen in there and someone was using the other one. So I said, Both bathrooms are being used. I dont have time to wait. Im on my way to my surgeon and I came out of the way. The receptionist proceeded to say Well we dont take them. I said to her, Then youre not getting it. I am fighting cancer and I have my own health issues. I was so mad that I walked out the door and threw the damned specimen out the window.A few days later, my Dad ended up in the hospital with a Urinary Tract Infection. He would never have ended up there if AUI learns how to treat their patients. AUI, you need to learn how to treat your patients better. Especially when you are working with Pinellas County Natives. We are not Northerners ok? We never have been and never will be. We should not be put behind them. Too bad I have to leave one star. You deserve none.

My experience with Dr. Sherman has been very pleasant and I would highly recommend him to anyone . Recently I had a kidney stone and he made sure that the whole process went smoothly without any pain. Dr. Sherman even goes beyond Urology by making sure that I get regular tests performed that men of my age should have. Im proud to call him my doctor!

Dr. Sherman is rude and arrogant. He diagnosed me with over active bladder. I went to see him in extreme pain, unable to pass urine. I told him I had a history of Kidney Stones. He ordered a CAT scan, and other bladder tests. If he had requested, I’m sure the CT scan could have been rushed. He was aware that I had an overseas obligation on 9-1-18. I had to wait two weeks in intense pain to get the test. He then called me on a Thursday to tell me I had a stone lodged in my right Uriter, and that I needed surgery. His next day to operate was Tuesday, 5 MORE DAYS OF PAIN!I had surgery on 9-28, and was in intense pain. I had to stay overnight in the hospital. On 9-1, I flew to NY in pain, then to Europe.Today at my check up, I asked the Dr. why he diagnosed me with overactive bladder with my history of kidney stones. He denied it. I have the paperwork. He then said it wasn’t his fault that it took so long for the CT scan. When I told him he should have called to request a faster scan, he said “if you’re going to sit here and yell at me, ( I was not yelling ) I’m leaving. He then got up and walked out.By far, the most unprofessional, disrespectful Doctor I have ever been to. WILL NEVER GO TO HIM AGAIN!

I was diagnosed with a bladder tumor in 2010 and remained under the care of another urologist of this group until he left the practice. I was scheduled for my yearly follow-up with Dr. Christopher Sherman, another urologist in the practice. His approach to my follow-up care was a bit different from the previous urologist, but I did as he suggested and found there was another very small tumor in my bladder which he removed and cauterized during the routine cysto procedure in the office. Since I now had 2 differing opinions about the course of my follow-up care, especially since I had no experience with the new urologist, I decided to seek a second opinion from Moffitt Cancer Center. The urologist at Moffitt provided very good insight as to the differences of ongoing care provided from each of the urologists at Advanced Urology Institute. But he also assured me that Dr. Christopher was dead-on correct with his cancer treatment protocol for my particular case. At that moment, I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Christopher. I would recommend Dr. Christopher for anyone dealing with bladder cancer. In the beginning, I thought his demeanor was a bit cold, but we have settled into a very comfortable doctor/patient relationship and I trust him with my care. I hope this review helps another prospective patient make a choice. Thank you, Dr Christopher.LK Eddy

Dr. Sherman only cares about the money because I was in the emergency room and had Medicaid. He put a stent in me and didn’t try to get my kidney stones out. When I woke up even the nurses was suprised that the record showed no removal of the stones. Had to go to another dr. To get the stones removed

Doctor Sherman is my mothers urologist. She is being treated for chronic UTIs (Urinary Tract Infection) unresponsive after 8 courses of antibiotic (mostly under the care of other physicians), kidney stones and also Non-Hodgins Lymphoma (cancer) that is stage 1 (by a different doctor treating this). I am usually the most skeptical when it comes to doctors and it takes A LOT to impress me. But Dr. Sherman has impressed me truly. He performed a kidney stone removal treatment and is guiding my moms UTI treatment. After a few weeks, both have been successfully treated with zero unusual complications. Also, when informed that my mother has opted not to treat her cancer with chemotherapy or radiation, but instead with diet, herbs, life style changes, he did not argue with my mother and attempt to undermine her right to decide on her course of treatment. He even personally called to tell me how the procedure went when her stones were removed. As an acupuncturist, he would be among the doctors that I would refer my patients out to.

Shameful! Stay away!!! The most unprofessional doctor ever! My husband went in with symptoms of a UTI and had previous kidney stones, this info was disregarded by Mr Sherman and my husband was told it was most likely chlamydia or gonorrhea, to say he was stunned is a understatement as we have been together a long time. He was prescribed two antibiotics and only at his request was the urine sent to a lab to find out what was wrong! Not surprisingly, the tests came back negative!! How could you possibly tell someone they have an STD without getting results first!!?? Save yourself the mental anguish and find another urologist!

Im writing this review from NY, even though this doctor is based in Florida. Hes rude, arrogant, and misdiagnosed my mother. My mother had to get emergency surgery because of kidney stones. He diagnosed her with an overactive bladder. When my mom confronted him about the misdiagnosis, he literally walked out of the treatment room. He dismissed her concerns, and refused further treatment. This doctor is very unprofessional, and I do not recommend him to anyone.

My first meeting with Dr. Sherman was October 2017 on a Monday. After exam he put me on his surgical schedule for the next day. Since surgery I have been treated by Dr. Sherman at the Morton Plant Campus location. October 2019 Dr. Sherman again performed a surgical procedure. I have never had anything other than a positive experience with Dr. Sherman and staff.
