I just love this place, I have anxiety really bad so I cant go to the big library so my family and I have been coming here for 5 years now. The staff is extremely helpful and the positive energy that I feel when I arrive is an added plus. Thanks, Foster Library 😊

A State of Michigan Retirement Benefits meeting is scheduled today. When I arrived was told room is at capacity, fire marshal wont allow anymore in the room. The hallway was full of retirees trying to get to this meeting. Some drove from out of town and was turned away. Poor planning on the state. When you say RSVP and then say you dont have to RSVP to attend this brings issues. There were retired workers that had RSVP that were not able to get in. They said another meeting would be held that afternoon at 2:00 pm. Some were not able to get back at that time. BOO on this planning, be wise and hold meeting where the beneficiaries can have access.

My grandson loves the Lansing Parks and Rec camp for 5-year-olds

We love the library here for our kids ages 5 to 13, good selection and easy to extend your checkouts online as needed. The free programs offered are excellent. My two sons loved the karate class and we have participated in several kids family events. Staff are friendly and programs are fun.

Oh my gosh this center will be my personal physicians office as long as she is a doctor. They are very professional and thorough.

Took my great nephew there to learn Folkloric Dancing for the first time and he really enjoyed himself. Hes even thinking about sticking with it! He has his first performance at the Lugnuts Baseball Game on the 18th. For someone starting to learn those dances hes ready to learn more about Folkloric Dancing.

The library is so quaint, charming, and the librarians love to help if you need help. They know their customers by name and chat with them when they come in! Dont forget to check out their used book sales!

Very clean and very spacious for events!! Went there for a birthday party, a baby shower, and a Halloween party, not all at the same time of course!! Very versatile and very easy to get to!!

BEWARE! Teachers at Homeschool Days at Foster are malicious. Gossiping about your kids being your backs, including confidential information. Untrained staff provides subpar instruction to kids and usually have no clue how to manage kids, particularly quirky ones. Programming is what you would expect from a city that doesnt invest dollars into facilities nor communities. Teachers and staff do not communicate effectively to parents.

I go to the infant reading program with my son in the library. He also came to see reindeer in the parking lot a few months ago when they came through early winter. I have only heard about other opportunities but based on the atmosphere I would definitely attend other programs offered at the facility.

Homeschool activities are fun and informative!

My sister and I went to school here in the 70s..was a great visit down memory lane..was so nice to see the children happy there.
