Had my Schwinn GTX3 converted from a 7 Speed to a 9 Speed. My bike rides better now than it did brand new out the box. I am very pleased with the service and the price. Now, I have puncture proof Tannus tires on Evo rims and they ride better than regular air tires in my personal opinion. I will definitely give this shop a 5/5 rating.

Kind, helpful staff. Had them assemble my new bike (purchased online) and they even helped me set up my bike rack and secure it for the trip home! Did an awesome job. A great place to shop for bicyclists as well!

I am just getting started using a bike for my commute to school. I brought in my old bike that had been in my family for a long time because the chain broke. Frankie was very helpful in assisting me with replacing the chain, and even gave me other helpful recommendations to get my bike tuned up and good to go. I will definitely make time to go to the Common Wheel co-op to make the recommended repairs on my bike. I would highly recommend this bike shop to anyone, it is run by good people who love their craft.

Such an amazing experience with people that obviously love bikes and helping others! This type of experience is rare, and like stepping back 50 years, I simply cannot say enough good things, but am extremely grateful to the folks here!

I brought my kids’ ratty, hand-me-down bikes in for repair and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. Their showroom has these lovely high-end bikes, but the staff were very kind in engaging my little tykes about their bikes/tricycles. One staff member even mentioned that a lot of people view the cheapy kids bikes as disposable and he liked that we were bothering to fix them rather than tossing them in a dumpster. The repairs only took a few days & the cost was very reasonable. This was well over a year ago & now that my oldest is ready for an upgrade, I plan to check in with them first. (Do they even sell kids bikes? I’ll call them on Monday.)

Simply, the atmosphere was hospitable and the service was friendly. I will take my bike back for maintenance and purchase another bike for my daughter! Love this gem in our city.

The Common Wheel is the real deal. They are friendly, knowledgeable, communicative, and skilled. I had my mountain bike in earlier in the summer to be tuned up and they turned it into the smoothest ride in town! They even attached a Narwhal squeaky bike horn (that I bought there) gratis. Common Wheel is an amazing bike shop and community. They run a great business, are super helpful, and provide high quality service. They are very reasonably priced. I am so glad they are in Lancaster! I am going to recommend them to all of our friends and coworkers. Everyone should buy a bike and take their bikes to them.

Havent ridden my bike in quite some time, so I brought it to the shop. They were quite busy, so they had the bike for about a week and a half. It was worth the wait. Good sevice, decent price.

The Common Wheel has been nothing but amazing and helpful with every single thing I have needed. I am new to biking (as an adult) and wanted to start commuting to work but did not know where to begin. Since that day a few months ago I have visited the shop numerous times and have always been greeted with a smile!At this point I have purchased two bikes from The Common Wheel team and both have been fantastic! Purchasing a bike has changed my way of living, I prefer to bike places if I can and I even bring my son along for the ride. If you have any interest in anything bike related I strongly recommend heading in and striking up a conversation with anyone you meet there. Amazingly friendly! They made me feel right at home!Had a ride to go on Sunday and didn’t have tools to fix one of our bikes. I thought I was going to have to cancel it. First, 5 stars for being one of the only places open on a Sunday!I found myself there a few minutes before they opened. in my opinion, you can learn a lot by how you are greeted when a place first opens, I was greeted with a fantastic warm smile that immediately made me feel like they were happy to see me, even at first opening the door!They helped me quickly and with great prices! We got to do our ride and I will purposely go out of my way to go back here for future needs!

Staff were great and went above and beyond to help. They even took time to explain the issue to me and my 7 yo. Definitely family focused and great with kids.

Im sure The Common Wheel folks will read this or so I hope. I read all the reviews and called last week and spoke with John. Not only was he very congenial but I could tell I would get a good job for my little need. I rented an Air B&B here and bought a Wal-Mart Schwinn bike that I wanted to have looked over because generally they are not put together by bike mechanics. I plan on moving in this area soon. My first bike in over 30 years! John gave me a day and time to come in. I wrote down all the issues with the bike which were minimal but when I came back when he said, all was done! And not only that but for much less than he said it could possibly be. One thing I know being from NYC is that this is an honest company. I gave a donation to their cause. I am going to by an e bike as Im 66 years old and they said they would service it and assemble it if I need it. They also have a great recommendation for a few e bikes. Anyway for what I paid, the seamless transition, cordiality and their very health conscious concern, because there were a few too many people in the store( I had to wait outside for about 5 min. no problem!) I would highly rate them. I will use them again for sure. This is your go to place in Lancaster. Right downtown! Michael

The Common Wheel is a special place, I’ve been lucky enough to spend a moment of my time volunteering at the pump house and both the crew there and the bike shop are awesome. It’s not just a gem in Lancaster but it’s a gem in the bike industry for sure! If you’re lucky enough to live in Lancaster this place should be your local bike shop of choice.

Just a shout-out to The Common Wheel (Bike Shop). Stopped in for the first time yesterday as I was having a problem with the derailleur gears on my new(ish) bicycle. I had heard good things about Common Wheel and decided to go there, as the shop I purchased my bike from had since closed. I fully expected to drop off my bike for an evaluation. Much to my surprise, the guy assisting me immediately put it on a stand and determined what the problem was. Then he showed me how I could make the necessary adjustments myself in the future. Wow! Talk about customer service! On top of that, he wasnt going to charge me for the 5 minutes of his work. Again, wow! So, I decided it was time to purchase a helmet to protect my aging noggin - and he helped me assure a good fit with that, too. Ill definitely be back - especially since theyre downtown and we like to support city businesses whenever we can.

Such a cool shop and friendly staff! I bought a really old refurbished bike last year and in a couple of months had a flat tire. On Saturday I walked my bike downtown and the guys at the shop were so helpful. They fixed it in less than ten minutes while I sat at the counter. I highly recommend The Common Wheel!

For about $8.47, dude will eye up your bike and in a glance give you the wrong tube size. To be fair I didnt know the size either, but instead of telling me to come back if it doesnt fit you could maybe pop a measuring tape out. There werent any other costumers in the shop, and I know thats no way to tell if theyre busy, but if theyd give my bike an extra minute of time and care I wouldve left a happy costumer.

Walking around on my first day in Lancaster, I could already tell this was a great biking city, and I am so happy I stumbled into The Common Wheel. Not only did they turn me in the direction of an affordable and great bike, but they have offered a place for bike maintenance, fun, and community. Ted and the crew were amazing, very helpful and welcoming, my husband n I came with our kids to finally buy my dream bike today July 6, I loved it and got to ride it for close to 30 feet or so, we packed it up to come back to CT and on highway 30, it became loose and fell off the car hitting another car and being ran over by another, total loss, but the people in those cars are ok thank God, except some damage to their cars, a few scratches on ours. We lost about 700$ and my kids, my husband and I are heart broken. But Im still thankful that we made it back home safe. 😢😭
