The Summer Music Series and Fall Art Festival are a precious gem for the Lancaster community. This city respects and appreciates the arts and it is abundant. The Longs Park Amphitheater Foundation programs elevate the music talent equal to metropolitan areas from DC to Boston. Unlike those markets these events are free. Many world acclaimed national and international bands grace the Amphitheater stage. Amazing! The park is an exceptional backdrop for the Fall Art Festival and a blessing to locals within 100 miles. Again, talented artists from across the country accept the invitation to participate at this event. Place both of these events on your bucket list but check them off each year if you live in the area and move them up your list if planning a Lancaster visit. If you can, donate to the foundation to help keep these 60-year events around for another generation so your friends and family will have the same experience you had from the stories you will tell them after you visit this magical place.

Lings Park Amphitheatre is a Great Place for Musicians and Bands.They always have a great summer series. My only complaint is the same complaint that I have at other cities that do a music series is that hundreds or thousands of people get there Early to get a good seat to WATCH the Musician or Band.Then as soon as the Music starts People go in FRONT of the stage and Stand or Dance the whole show Blocking the view of many older people who came to Watch the show.I wish some venue would start a trend of do not stand in front of the stage or block the view of people sitting.If you want to Dance, please dance on the sides of the stage or in the back of the seating area.We are big music fans and come to see the musicians.

Absolutely love the musical diversity of these shows and the fact that they are offered to the general public for free even enhances the experience. Its a chance to hear genres that we havent been exposed to maybe. I have discovered some very talented musicians at the Longs Park summer music series.

Great evening with wonderful music by Paul Thorn and band. Its terrific that Lancaster has such a fun community supported venue.

The music was pretty good to night it was great it was the live aid tribute band playing all kinds of different music.

This is a terrific venue to view a concert. I enjoyed the concert very much!

This is our first time here and I must say we had a great time. Really cool place to spend an evening. Lots of easy in and out parking, food trucks and more. Great place to bring the family. Always good music and fun. Bring your chairs and your coolers of food and drink but no alcohol is allowed. Treat your family to this unique place. Its totally free and supported by the public. Bring a little cash to donate to this great place. They do come around with the donation buckets before the show. Im sure just a few bucks or whatever you can spare will suffice. Not mandatory. Go and have fun!

Free Concerts in Longs Park all summer long. They had an Eagles Tribute band tonight 7 Bridges. Excellent band and had a great time listening to all the old Eagles favorites.

Typically great Sunday concerts for free, although contributions critical to the series.

Here for The US Army Band Pershings Own for the areas largest and best known celebration of America topped off with a spectacular fireworks display. Plenty of food vendors and people!

Love the summer outdoor concert series!

Best fireworks! We park at Park City near Longhorn Steakhouse. If you arrive at 7:30 You can still walk into the park and get close to the ground show. It takes about 10 minutes to make the walk, but we avoid sitting in traffic for 30 minutes. Bring a lawn chair and some water. A few snacks also help pass the time.

We went for the 4th of July fireworks concert and show. It was the best fireworks show we have seen yet. Great display while playing music. We really enjoyed the cannons set off in the beginning before fireworks. Will attend next year for sure.

Sumner Sunday Music Series, need I say more?

This is always a fun and open event with a variety of talent to enjoy. Great way to spend an evening outdoors. The openness of the area allows for frisbee, outdoor games or simply throwing down a blanket to enjoy the music. The volume of the music does make it challenging to hold a conversation. We sit at the tip of the hill, facing the stage, a decent distance from the amphitheatre and still find it challenging to hear each other without yelling. We have come here every summer for over five years.

This is no question one of the best places to see/hear a concert that I know of (and it is free!!) It is also just a great place to spend an afternoon with friends or family.

The new playground is EXCELLENT! It has plenty to do for all ages of children. The trees were beautiful (they were in bloom-pink and purple and white flowers) and provided shade for all the family. The fields were great for kicking the soccer ball, people were playing in the sand volleyball courts and at the basketball courts. It was disappointing that visitors of the park were leaving trash everywhere. The trashcans were overflowing! And of all the five different bathrooms , only one was open- in all of the huge park. People were speeding through the park as they were leaving. I wish there was a presence of staff of the park... I think cleanliness problems and speed limit infractions would have been completely eliminated, had there been a few park rangers doing rounds in the park checking on everyone.

Great show at a great venue. Very family friendly. No booze or smoking allowed. Easy parking. Sunday night freebie show with Ed Palermo was outstanding, although a bit much for some of the crowd.

Wonderful. The trombonist was excellent too. Hope they come back next year. An exceptional beautiful Sunday evening.

Beautiful park. We went to see Afro-Cuban all-stars for free! Large grassy areas for families and people with dogs. Playground was nice also.

Wife was at the Labor day craft show. Foundation treats vendors and guests wonderfully! Dont get this type of treatment from ANY OTHER craft show!

Ive been going to the Summer Music Series for as long as I can remember! I miss seeing Brave Combo play, but Ive seen a lot of cool acts since they stopped coming. Im interested in coming to some of the upcoming Saturday series, too.

One of the greatest things about Lancaster is the availability of free concerts. Not only free concerts, but great concerts! 7 Bridges Road performed an extraordinary concert!!!

We love the free performances during the summer! The only tricky thing is parking and usually will take up to an hour to exit the park at night after the event.

I like to workout here before going to work. I work right next to the Park. Its nice to go to a park instead of only working out in my personal house gym

Great place to go during the summer for the free concerts that are held there n the most popular one is the one held right near July 4th aka Independence day, which is a great concert with fireworks afterwards.
