Love Community Aid! Have been to others in the area now as well! Clean, inviting! Mostly kind employees. Huge selection of clothing, home decor, books, accessories, shoes, and more. Their sale days are great as well.

As an avid thrifter, I find many of the prices in this shop too high. Paying $5 for a tiny glass vase that would cost $2.50 at Walmart takes the fun out of shopping at this store. For a pair of used shoes youll pay over $20. Affordability is what makes thrift stores so unique and should be a priority for them, especially for a store that claims to be an affordable shopping experience for the community.

I had a pleasant experience here. I got some deals. Its a great place to buy baby and kids clothes. Apparently Wednesday is family day where everything is 50% off. Healthcare and first responders get a discount on Fridays. They do play Christian music in their stores. It doesnt have a musty smell like some thrift stores do.

It must have been a while since I shopped here because, WOW, did the prices go up!!! I was very disappointed. But I did manage to find some items that were worth the money.

Its pretty good for a thrift store with good variety as youd expect from one. the lighting is a bit much but really, what did you expect. its nice to find things for good prices especially with weekly sales

I got 3 outfits for myself including accessories and a suit coat for my husband... all for $35! This place is great!

Only been to one so I don’t know if it’s standard procedure, but it’s kinda lame that they take vintage items and stick them behind the counter with huge price tags. That’s the appeal of thrifting, finding a good score. The obnoxious Christian rock was also a thumbs down. But clean, friendly and good variety. Average prices on most things.

Came here on 50% off Wednesday and walked out with 22 items for $55! Mostly name brand clothing and very good condition items. Takes a while to look through everything and fitting rooms only allow 4 items at a time which prolongs the time, but overall happy with my items. Only downfall was every sign said 50% off all tags and once I got to the register was told the blue tags are not 50% off (which was about 1/3 of the items I had picked). Wish they were a little more clear on that with signage.

So many nice things. I think I spent over an hour in there. I got quite a few outfits for summer and work.

I love to shop at Community Aid. Everything there is clean and in good condition. I hate to shop in the regular stores anymore, everything is SO expensive! I find everything I need, and some interesting things that I dont really need, at Community Aid for a fraction of the price. And when I go through my things, I feel good donating things in good shape to Community Aid.So, Im back again, I visit this store regularly and I always have a good shopping experience. I was just there this past Tues, 9/14/21, and I wanted to commend the associate by the name of Brandon who helped me by taking a heavy wooden tray table from the back of the store to the front checkout while I continued shopping, and the girl named Alexx who brought the heavy tray table set out to the car for me and put it in my trunk. The people who work here are fantastic! Btw, my family gives me assignments all the time to look for stuff for them, lol!

Cars lined up sometimes 3 or 4 deep to give donations and yet every time Im in the shelves are nearly bare left only with junk nobody wants and the clothing racks are sparsely filled with poorly screened items.Pricing definitely on the high side for local thrifts unless you hit a discount day.Pricers look things up on ebay, dont understand what they see, and think they can ask top selling prices for similar things yet provide no cleaning, no testing and wont stand behind what they sell with a return policy.*edited 5/2021 from my initial positive review I left at opening in 2016

They should advertise most of the kids clothes arent half price on Wednesday. They market half price Wednesdays, but then everything with a green tag isnt half price and lots of things have green tags.

Can always find something and the stuff is always in good shape. The employees are always pleasant and everything is reasonably priced.

As a long time thrift shopper, my family always went to salval. After coming here though, its hard to go back. Its overall appearance is generally more spacious, clean, and organized. Wayyyy more shoppable compared to salval. The sections are organized by type, size, and color. Incredibly easy to browse and try on. Half off on Wednesdays is a great deal. Have furnished my apartment at a fraction of the cost I anticipated and get new funky work clothes whenever I need. My suggestion for good thrifting finds is to browse outside of your size. I have found I can fit in a 2-10 depending on the brand and how you wear it. A oversized crop becomes a flowy shirt, experiment a little and I promise youll find a gem!

As of January 16th 2021, they were accepting donations, I didnt realize they wont take Christmas items right now. Guess they ended up with too many! But definitely taking everything else and the long was long but moved very quickly even with just one attendant.

I was there for an interview today and while I was there I decided to look around at some of the womens clothing, as well as looked through the DVDs and I found a few things that I liked, & decided to buy.

They have it all! Really great pricing and a pretty awesome organization system. If youve got the time and like to thrift this is a perfect place to hit up. Especially right now for 🎃 Halloween costumes

Other than cashiers sometimes thinking because I have 4 items that are this price, the fifth one (that isnt) must be the same, & placing in that price for said item, I love this place. Fairly priced. Can sometimes find amazing deals & other times things seem over priced but Im very satisfied with this store. I have thrift shopped all my life and to find a CLEAN elite diaper genie for $6 is definitely a steal. Used shoes over $10, not so much. But... Im here to leave a positive review. Rant over. :)

Great place to shop. They have just about anything at great prices. They have days during the week offering discounts of up to 50% off for Veterans and First Responders.

Community Aid is a very large Christian thrift store. Its very much like The Salvation Army. They have a great selection of clothing, knick-knacks, and toys. Ive been there many times, and I always walk out with some obscure treasure. Theres nothing particularly special about it except its size. Another thrift store thats close by is Goodwill, but its not nearly as big.

Several customers not masked.I do not like that 50 off family day has mostly tag color that is not on sale. I likely will not shop there as often as in past now.

Incredible selection of clothes for the family as well as household items of all kinds. I love the bright lighting, ample fitting rooms, wide aisles and plenty of checkouts. Also, women will find clothing sorted by color with most items tagged​ with the size! Slacks and jeans are sorted by color and by size.The proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations that make a difference in our community. Most thrift stores get the contents they offer for free; of course. But we all need to bear in mind that some items are not clean or in condition to sell. It costs $ to dispose of items. It costs $ to run the electricity, the heat, the AC, pay the staff, clean the store, advertise, etc. Free to the thrift store does not mean theyre making 100% profit on every item!Anyone who wants yard sale prices can go to yard sales and bicker. Everyone else, realize that much of the funds raised to back into organizations in our community, and help so many people.

My daughter in law love this place.We dont get to go as often as we would like to. The prices are good , but they are going up.😞. I have a very large family that I look for .I really like Wednesday s for everything is half price. My husband loves to read so I try and get him books. We travel from York Pa.to Lancaster to shop. The workers are really nice.

The prices are super cheap which is awesome! Don’t expect super nice clothes though it’s mostly olderdesigns and clothes no one wants(obviously) but it helped me and my friend find our 90s outfits for a party we’re going to.Also very organized which I love.

My family has been shopping here for some time. The folks who work there are almost always nice and the place is clean. However, the prices have seem to keep going up, overly much so. For example just now we saw individual cat toys for $3.99, the same style that Dollar Tree sells. We picked up a small (2 diameter) globe of sand art that was priced at $7.99. Then my wife saw leggings in the girls department and the same size and brand (lulurue) in the womens, and the womens size was three dollars more. Then there was the pair of glass bowls with the silver inlay. Someone at the store had completely enveloped the bowls in packing tape. When that tape is removed all the silver inlay will be ruined. While I support the charity of the store I certainly do not approve of the way the store is run.

This is one of the biggest, cleanest thrift stores to which I ever been. They likely pump the scent of cleanser through the ventilation system... thats how clean it smells. The look is equally impressive... white-washed and well-lit, with everything well-organized (by color, etc.) Prices are reasonable for what one might consider an upper-scale thrift store, should such a thing, other than a consignment shop, exist. I will definitely be checking out this store more often.

The store is always clean and well organized. I have had tons of great finds here from electronics to Oxford shirts. However, it is a very popular location and often times I leave there empty handed. Its still a great store to visit in youre in the area.

I love this store. If you need anything, and I mean anything, stop here first. Why pay full price when you can pay less and on Wednesdays even less since they take an additional 50% off their price on Wednesdays? Its clean, organized, and the staff are friendly. Its a great place for baby clothes and all second hand clothes, books, games, household wares, shoes, purses, pictures...etc....if you want it they more than likely have it! Take a look you wont be disappointed.

Great selection and service too. It just so happened I had to wait a few minutes for a fitting room. Once one opened and I was directed to it by the attendant, she apologized to me for the wait. When I came out she smiled and we thanked one another. I was pleased and wanted to share this good experience.

Love this place... They are getting pricey

Nicely organized, kinda pricey. Good sales. But be careful what you donate. Do NOT donate antiques that are not pristine. Even if you know they are in demand, sell it yourself or take it to a non-thrift store to sell. They throw out anything old that isnt perfect. This includes 1st edition valuable books that have dinged edges or something.

Enjoy looking around and shopping for great deals. Theres alot of different things to choose from depends on what your looking for. I have always made out pretty well and found great stuff at a bargain! Definitely worth stopping by. The best part is you know your helping out the community by shopping there.

Its okay, my grandmom likes it. The shrimp scampi was good, so was our service. I just feel like this place needs a bit of a revitalization. I remember when they first opened to great lines out the door and now its a little run down. We were there at 10 and they were closing up and locking the doors despite being open for another hour. You can get good food here and a good drink, it just isnt what it used to be.

First time there today. Very impressed. Clean, neat, and did not have that stinky 2nd hand store smell. Thank you for taking of the community. Keep up the good work !!

VERY large thrift store! The prices are great, and the selection of items is pretty diverse! I dont frequent thrift stores often, however this is one of my favorites. Their dollar days are worth the trip for sure! While you cant try anything on during those sales, its still worth it!

I absolutely LOVE this store. In comparison to other thrift stores it is so clean and well organized, there is always fresh product. The employees are incredibly nice and everything is half price on Wednesdays! I have gotten so much clothing and books and accessories for both myself and my son here, its saved me so much money!

I always feel like places like this should have it by size, not color. It is just extremely overwhelming going in there, trying to find something based on color alone. It sounds Petty, but honestly I go in there not knowing what Im looking for, and then if I see something that I like only to find out it is a size off, then that kind of takes away from the joy of the shopping experience. I have found some cute clothes for my son, but a lot of them are pretty ratty and some are stained unfortunately.

Well run and very clean. They have special sales to watch out for. I think as a service organization they may be better than Goodwill

Large selection and great quality, up to date clothing. My one complaint as with most second hand stores is how they organize the clothes. Its difficult to find clothes when they are organized by color and not size. Otherwise it would have 5 stars.

It is better organized than the Goodwill stores in this area but I rarely find anything I want to buy. The aisles are wide. It has a good selection of mens shirts.

This is the cleanest and most organized thrift store i have ever been in. Everything is organized by type and size of clothing and looks like it had been well taken care of. The aisles are easy to navigate and it is priced reasonably.

This is my favorite thrift store. The prices are reasonable and the store is very clean and organized. And on Wednesdays they take 50% off of EVERYTHING minus the red tags which are brand new or more expensive things. I cant wait until they open the one in York.

Highly organized (by size and color) and well staffed. Everything is clearly marked and I appreciate that they add their tags in the clothing tags when applicable versus through the garment itself causing a hole.

Having been to several used clothing stores, CommunityAid is by far the best. Its the largest, cleanest, and most well organized. Other stores have more of a variety of non-clothing items, but overall not the best. This place has a massive collection of clothing, every style, color, brand. If youre looking for a prom dress, they have it, dress clothes, casual, business, fitness, shoes. The womens section is considerably larger than the mens but they still have a good selection. There is also a good collection of books, nick-nacks, and household items. There are many changing rooms too. Highly recommended over their competitors.

Pretty bad when you can’t shop at a place that gets everything donated for free. I walk in, look around and leave without buying anything. Ain’t gonna waste my time anymore...They just keep raising prices...ridiculous
