Ive only gone to Urgent Care twice, one month apart. Both times it was a normal straight through event. You sign in, and after a little wait you get seen. Straight forward, average to be expected from a daily operating professional business.Their whole operation is clean and tidy. They put up a covered tent just outside the entrance, to screen All people coming in. And a security guard and CVS Pharmacy by the exit.I deducted one star because the signs to Urg Care I dont think were placed in obvious clear place. Both times I had to ask someone inside.10/13/21

Went here with a sinus infection that started 5 days ago. They refused to let me see a doctor even after I showed I had negative covid test results from 3 days ago. Wanted me to do another covid test before they would even do a VIRTUAL doctors meeting. I mean seriously, they are afraid they will catch Covid over the internet/phone. The clinic was totally empty yet they said they couldnt set an virtual appointment until 4pm... 8 hours from now. Total waste of time and the attitude of med staff was short and rude. Just because covid came doesnt mean all the other viruses and infections that preexist just magically disappeared. I understand the concerns but that doesnt give people that choose to work in the medical industry to be asshats. I fought for my country in Desert Storm and Desert Shield and understood the seriousness of the decisions I made yet I did it with pride and passion. We damn sure didnt fight that war over virtual visits!!! These people are a complete disgrace!!!Went to Antelope Valley ER and was in and out in 20 mins. Great experience there! Great doctors!

When we told the nurse she ripped the curtain behind her with a huge attitude and went to tell the doctor we were refusing. When we asked to speak to the doctor himself we over herd him saying what now and I dont care what they asked for they literally mixed up my bloodwork and almost had me hopped up on opiate then got nasty when we were wondering what is going on here!!!! Update: Since our experience at this urgent care has been really good I decided to come back for another issue and we saw Dr. RAMRATTAN. Well lets just say our experience with him was phenomenal! Dr. Ramrattan was one of the best doctors my daughter and I have ever seen in our life and I am picky. High Desert Urgent Care and the patients there are very blessed to have Dr. Ramrattans medical expertise, knowledge and bedside manner. He has a great sense of humor while being extremely professional and meticulous with his examination and diagnosis. We feel truly blessed to have seen him during our last visit here!Thank you so much Dr. Ramrattan!!! You truly are one of the best physicians out there! My daughter was having alot of discomfort with what I presumed was an ear infection.... I decided to call my sister to find out where and who she recommends in an urgent care setting and she recommended HDMG as a top notch facility. My sister works in the medical field, so I trust her opinion completely and she was 1000% correct! This urgent care was fast, friendly, exceptionally clean and the staff including office, billing, nurses and Dr. Allison were incredibly helpful, and offered great patient services! My daughter was examined by Dr. Allison and she was not only terrific with children, but she came as highly recommended and she was very sweet as a doctor. I felt my daughter was in excellent care with Dr. Allison and the staff and Im so glad my sister highly recommended her too!!! This Urgent Care is better than most of the hospitals we have been to over the years!!! If youre in need of an Urgent Care give HDMG a try...in my opinion its the best!!!Thank you so much again Dr. Allison! My daughter says that her ear is feeling better already and that she wishes you could be her Pediatrician!10+ stars...easily!!!

Not bad for a mini clinic. Clean enough. Exam rooms are half the size youre accustomed to. The nurse creates a file, with attitude. Heres the thing. If youre at the doctors more than once a year, you have issues. I find from experience that this kind of health maintenance is like how a hungry mechanic operates. He solves a mysterious but simple problem, you feel better for the moment and assured it was nothing serious. Then a few miles down the road, your vehicle has another problem, because the mechanic did something else under the hood that puts you back at his Mercy for more work, or treatment, as it were. A medication that offsets the side effects of another...and so on it goes to the point that those side effects are worse than the original symptoms. It all leads to kidney (renal) problems, which is addressed as life threatening and secures the salaries for dozens of so called medical professionals. Do your research on meds and reviews on doctors. I went there to get a dentist referral, evidently at my age one must pass a physical to qualify for dental work. So...after waiting a half hour, the nurse comes in to ask me for the second time, did I want a flu shot. Again I said no, never had the flu or a flu shot. I had to sign a waiver. After another half hour, a doctor came in, had quite a story about being compelled to require more medication. I refused and she was shocked. Went out and told me to stay. The nurse came back in to do an EKG. I refused because I felt nothing urgent or life threatening to require that procedure. After another half hour the nurse came in with a 15 page description and targets that require labs. Fine. She said I was done, showed me the exit. When I got home, I noticed that the urinalysis was required that day. Then the next visit will require a fast before labs. Standard. So in that 15 pages, I did find a referral to a dentist. Western Dental being the only one accepting my insurance. This is where I was refused an emergency extraction pending a care givers ok. Where I waited over an hour to be refused and...as I waited in the dental chair, I was told to put my feet up on the chair LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!

I want to start by saying this is THE WORST OFFICE IN ALL OF A.V.UNPROFESSIONAL, UNORGANIZED, AND UNBELIEVABLE!First off, I missed my daughters first consultation appointment. However, the insurance had already sent them the requested approval letter to get my 4 year old daughter checked out. The dental office staff never kept the letter on file or whatever, and had me call my insurance a few more times because the staff doesnt know how to keep their paperwork straight. Also my insurance assured me MULTIPLE times that they had faxed it and I DIDNT need a physical paper with me when I go in. My insurance also provided me with the referral number; also mentioned as a claim number. But, I dont know if the staff knows how to do their job right, or perhaps they just dont care, but they gave me hell to reschedule the consultation.NOW THIS IS THE GOOD STUFF RIGHT HERE: I called yesterday to have her worked on ASAP. The receptionist confirmed me to bring my daughter in at 8 a.m. today. (Today being a Saturday.) Not opened. Called the office. Voicemail claims Saturdays they open at 9a.m., as so does the schedule hanging outside.Fine whatever, I waited.Time came to go in. They took x-rays, blah blah blah, finally it was time for my daughter to go in and get strapped down for the giggle mask. (By the way they offered me to pick either the giggly gas or put her to sleep while they work on her. Keep this in mind.)Dr. Sandra pulled me into the next room to break down the procedure and steps as well as what she expects from the parent to do and not do once inside. Everything was crystal clear and she generously repeated herself 3 or 4 times. I think I understood everything perfectly well. So moving along, after our 5 minute talk, we go in the room.My daughter is 4. Parents know that kids tend to freak out when they dont know whats going on. So what does a parent want to do when they are restricted to what they can do? OBVIOUSLY resort to talking to your child to try to relax him or her. HOWEVER ME SPEAKING TO MY DAUGHTER FROM ACROSS THE ROOM WITH DR. SANDRA PRESENT AND HER TWO ASSISTANTS IN THE ROOM, WAS DISTURBING THAT SHE CLAIMED TO BE UNABLE TO DO HER JOB!SHE UNNECESSARILY AND DISGUSTINGLY ACCUSED ME OF NOT FOLLOWING HER RULES AND WITHOUT HESITATION UNSTRAPPED MY DAUGHTER AND SAID SHE WAS DONE.UMMM, NO. I TOLD HER SHE HAS NO RIGHT TO SNAP ON ME THE WAY SHE DID WITH THE RUDE TONE SHE USED AND I MADE IT CLEAR MY DAUGHTER; MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS SIMPLY SCARED. THATS ALL.I SIMPLY ALSO ASKED FOR THE SLEEP GAS AND DR. SANDRA STATED I WOULD HAVE TO RESCHEDULE.AFTER WHAT I SAID TO HER, SHE PROCEEDED TO REMOVE MY DAUGHTER AND I FROM THE ROOM.FINE! THATS TOTALLY OK. I GUESS ILL RESCHEDULE. HOWEVER, THE RECEPTIONIST CLAIMED THEY DONT CARRY SLEEP GAS (YES. EVEN THOUGH DR. SANDRA TOLD ME PERSONALLY TO RESCHEDULE!)I AM ABSOLUTELY ANGRY, FRUSTRATED, AND ABOVE ALL LIVID. I WASTED MY DAMN TIME AND PATIENCE ON THIS UNPROFESSIONAL, UNORGANIZED, AND DYSFUNCTIONAL OFFICE!!!!!!!AS A PEDIATRIC SPECIALTY OFFICE, DR. SANDRA SHOULDVE KNOWN HOW TO WORK WITH A 4 YEAR OLD LITTLE GIRL WITH HER MOTHER FROM ACROSS THE ROOM!!!!!!!DO NOT BRING YOUR UNDER-AGED CHILDREN TO THIS OFFICE! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I dont understand the bad reviews from other people who say they had a long wait. I switched to this medical group solely based on the fact that their waiting time is shorter than other Urgent Care facilities (IMO). Every time Ive gone there for Urgent Care matters, only a few patients were waiting in the waiting room, so I was in an out within an hour, maybe 1hr 30 mins on one occasion. Ive never seen this place crowded. Its a nice clean facility and the staff treated me well. Only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because I once went there during a time when my insurance wasnt active, so they would not see me, whereas any other medical facility more than likely would have, because they would be paid retroactively once my insurance kicked back in. The clerk for HDMG said something to the effects of them having to put in the system which insurance provider is paying the bill, and it must be an active account that is verifiable.. She also said that they dont accept any other forms of payment, so even if I wanted to pay with cash, they would still turn me away. So for this lame rule I take a star away.

I was so distraught I was brought to tears in the doctors office (where not a single soul offered a shred of compassion) and for at least an hour afterwards. The wait time was great. I was in and out in about an hour. The reason I’m only giving 1 star is because I left without proper prescriptions to treat my strained back. This was the second time I visited this clinic over a 1 1/2 year period. The first time I went was because I was really sick. I had just moved to the area from Washington and didn’t have a Primary Care Physician yet. I was diagnosed with Mononucleosis. They gave me antibiotics and some Tramadol for the sore swollen throat. I discovered soon after that Tramadol is completely useless for pain. My throat wasn’t any less sore and the effects of the medication just made me feel worse than I already did. I quit taking those and just took the antibiotics. It was fine, I was better in a couple weeks. I had never taken Tramadol before and never wanted to take it again because it gave me auditory hallucinations. About an hour after my Wife and Son had left for a trip to the mall, I heard them having and entire conversation through the bathroom door while I was taking a shower. After I got out of the shower, I was surprised to discover they weren’t home yet. I thought maybe they had forgotten something and came home briefly. After they got back I asked what they had forgotten and found out they hadn’t forgotten anything and hadn’t been back home since they left 2 hours before. Anyway, I saved the ones I had left just in case there happened to be a need for them in the future. Fast forward a year. We bought my son a new bed, I forgot I wasn’t 20 anymore when I was moving mattresses and putting everything together. I lifted wrong and tweaked my lower back. The next morning, I could barely get out of bed. I took 800mg of Ibuprofen and it didn’t help. Later that evening I remembered I had some left over Tramadol and took one of those. It also didn’t help but made me feel like a zombie. Still I took another one the following in addition to 800mg of Ibuprofen. Still no pain relief. The following day I was fed up with not being able to go about my daily routine without severe lower back pain. I couldn’t sleep because I couldn’t find a position to lay in that didn’t hurt. I called my Primary Care Doc. But they couldn’t get me in until the following Tuesday. This was on a Thursday and I’m thinking there’s no way I can deal with this pain for another 5 days. I decided to go to High Desert. After explaining everything that happened and all the meds I had tried. He wanted to prescribe Tramadol again. I explained my experience with it and told him that the last time this happened several years ago, I was given Vicodin and Naproxen and I was back to my regualr routine within a coupe days. He told me they don’t prescribe Vicodin. He gave me 4 other meds that aren’t working in the least. I realize that there are people who abuse Opioid Pain meds. My Wife is a RN and this is her primary complaint about the drug addicts that come to the ER because they want a fix. I realize that it’s an epidemic and all but just because there are drug seekers out there abusing them isn’t a reason to deny them to someone with legitimate pain. Now I have to wait in pain until Tuesday to see my Doc. So I can get the proper meds for my back. I’ve been prescribed Vicodin maybe 5 times in my entire life for short term pain relief. I’ve never taken it for more than 5 consecutive days and I took it as prescribed. I didn’t become addicted to it. I’m not an addict and it’s not fair that I have to suffer because other people are. This policy is ridiculous. They are compromising patient care to cater to an opioid epidemic that is not my fault and had nothing to do with me. It’s infuriating. They should be treating the individual patient instead of trying to cure an epidemic.

I sometimes get cellulitis on the backs of my hands because of my eczema. I went to the Urgent Care yesterday to get Keflex for the cellulitis because thats what has always cleared it up. The PA, Dr Pierre, wouldnt believe it was cellulitis and diagnosed me with Scabies because my back was itchy from allergies. I kept telling him that I wasnt exposed to scabies and that it was cellulitis, but he told me he had been doing this work for years, and if I wanted a second option, I would have to wait another 3 1/2 hours for another doctor to come in. I asked him if he could just give me the keflex in case it was cellulitis and he said NO, that he would give me the scabies cream, but NO antibiotics. So, I applied the cream from head to toe last night and when I woke up, it was 10x worse than it was yesterday . I now had welts and a rash over 90% of my body that itched like crazy! On my face, even.So back I went to urgent care where I finally got a doctor to listen to me and give me the prescriptions I knew I needed in the first place. Im on the mend, but will turn around and run if I ever go before Dr Pierre ever again!!I give Dr Pierre 0 stars, but the 2nd physician gets 5 stars for listening to the patient... with an avarage score of 3 stars (which should only be 2 1/2 stars).

Been here 3 times in the last 2 months or so. first two times, id hurt my back, which has already been a problem, and pain often radiates into my stomach and my knee (i think from walking w. compensating weight distribution). the first doctor i saw was great. he listened to me, offered a wide range of options, prescribed me something that worked for the most part, considering i did not want opiates, and i did not want aspirin (both because i love my liver). anyways, he didnt allow refills, so i had to come back, as he only gave me a 8 or 10 day supply, and i stretched it for 14 days until i really need to go back.the second time, the doctor who saw me didnt listen to a word i said. he tested my pain by having me stand up, and asked me to put weight on my knee til it hurt, then he literally pushed on my shoulders as hard as he could. he quickly left the room, and left me sitting there for about 40 minutes before a nurse came in with a prescription and told me to go. i look up the prescription, and its a muscle repaxer specifically for rheumatoid arthritis, and theres forums full of people expressing that it did nothing for back pain, what i saw him for.the third time, i bashed my head on something doing a tile job in a shower, and have a cut about 4 in long, wide and deep. i really didnt want to go, but checked 2 other places, which said the wait was an hr plus. i go to high desert, check in, 20 min called back to check my weight and bp, wait 10 more min and they call me to the room where the doctor will see me. i wait in there for just under an hr, 56 or 57 min, and the doctor rushes in, asks whats wrong, i get 2 words out before shes talking over me, she gets a gauze pad, and WITH THE GLOVES SHE OPENS THE DOOR WITH SHOVES THE GAUZE AND HER FINGERS INTO MY CUT. she then LITERALLY says well im sure someone will be in to clean ya up and she leaves. i wait 35 minutes, no one comes, so i leave. ive reported both incidents to my health care provider, and im just waiting for them to try and bill me, its going to be a lot of fun. nothing i dislike more than psychos parading as doctors. i feel bad, the first doctor i saw was extremely accomodating, even though he was obviously overworked. the other two definitely seemed like they bill as much as possible to work as little as possible. seriously, worse 2 experiences since middle school nurse.

I have received atrocious prenatal care. I went in to Henry mayo on FATHERS day for bleeding. They did and emergency ultrasound and found there to be a heartbeat. However this immediately put me at high risk. The hospital insisted my doctor see me and repreform an ultrasound in a few days to check the progress of the baby, I was 6 weeks 6 days. I saw my doctor the next day. Gave all tests and what I had been told. They scheduled blood work ONLY. The ultrasound had been put off for an ENTIRE MONTH, after the emergency staff urged that it be stayed on top of. The baby passed away at 9 1/2 weeks. I didnt have any idea, the ultrasound didnt happen till two weeks later, I was the last scheduled ultrasound and I was told after she scanned the family and myself would get to see the baby (mind you at this point we had no idea of the fetal demise, I had no bleeding or cramping), I was met with a very flustered ultrasound tech after she scanned, and that could tell me nothing other than to call my doctor in the morning, there would be no viewing, and she would say nothing else. I was due to SIT IN AGONY FOR 16 HOURS! Not knowing what was wrong, if we lost the baby, NOTHING. This is incredibly unprofessional. There should be a dr. On staff for every ultrasound in the event of fetal demise to be compassionate enough to immediately tell the mother so healing can begin. Unbelievably I had, had my dead baby inside myself for TWO WEEKS. Had the ultrasound been done sooner or kept on top of something could have been caught and done sooner. Lastly. Upon being told I was sent to olive view for a DNC. They had NOTHING available for 3-4 MORE WEEKS of having a dead baby inside of me, they couldnt even offer me the pill to induce the passing at home unless I stayed in emergency for at minimum a 12 hour wait. I immediately took this into my own hands and went to Henry mayos emergency, which handled the DNC within fan hour, and every person on the staff was APPAULED at the care I had received.

10/8/16: High Desert Palmdale is incredibly slow. 1:45 pm appt. Saw doctor at 2:30 pm. After the doctor finished and left the room we waited 25 minutes only to discover the nurse/administrative aide had not finished writing up the doctors orders for Ct scan, run an EKG and perform flu and pneumonia shots. Prescription ordered by the doctor was sent to Walgreens, we use CVS. Was told they would redirect the Rx to CVS. Typical hold for calls to them 20 minutes.11/10/16: CVS advised they never received the Rx.10/11/16: Received an unsolicited call from Carina at Heritage Health Care. She identified herself as a supervisor and was calling regarding this post of mine. She apologized for the issues I had described and said that management had addressed my concerns with the staff. I am impressed with her professionalism and the extra steps she took to address my complaints. Thank you CarinaOne more thing our Doctor is Sonia Sethi. An excellent, pleasant and very thorough physician.

Regular doctor here is very nice but senior urgent care is horrible...mom has had cough and sinus pain dor a week, nurse staff short and rude, after almost 2 hour wait doctor actually came I to room for 10 seconds...listen to my moms lungs and told her to go see her regular doctor without asking any questions or any other exam...Doctor did concede to give an antibiotic but took 30 minutes to get perscription.
