Its not just about the dogs, (although they rule in my world I confess). I had a vague idea of what UDS did, but after a tour yesterday, Im truly amazed. The breadth of the services is astounding. Its wonderful to know there is a place that serves so many people, of vastly different ages, challenges and needs, headquartered right here in Central PA. Thank you for the difference you are making ,UDS!

What does this place even do?! Every time my mother needed to utilize her service coordinator for resources, she was just given a long list of names and told to blindly choose one. 90% of the resources they provided her dont even serve the county she lives in. They dont fact check the information they give out to people. I should be paid her service coordinators salary because I basically did her job the entire time my mother was working with them. Not to mention her service coordinator was NEVER at work, I constantly had to email upper management to get an answer for anything. I would not recommend this place to anyone in need of service assistance. They literally do nothing but give you one headache after another.

This organization is a wonderful group of people with a mission to lift up individuals with disabilities. Across the board, UDS employee have huge hearts with kind souls while remaining driven to promote a very a worthy cause.

I admire any business that cares about their clients and the employees that serve them. I have a family member that works for UDS and she is continually praising then for their high values. People aren’t numbers getting lost in the shuffle thanks to organizations like UDS. Thank you for all you do!

UDS has such a positive impact on the community. As a volunteer Ive been able to see firsthand the many ways they serve people with disabilities. As someone with a disabled family member, I was able to experience how friendly and helpful their staff members are. They gave us the resources we were looking for, and followed up to see how they could further assist us. They are genuinely invested in their clients lives and it shows.

UDS is the embodiment of what a community nonprofit should and can be. They are focused on providing quality services in everything they do, from Service Coordination to training service dogs for those with disabilities. Their management team are true industry leaders and 100% committed to the communities and individuals they serve, while providing a supportive, positive workplace.

I’m giving this organization 5 stars because of the excellent services I have received on behalf of my elderly mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. Because of the caring and professional caseworkers at UDS, she is now residing in an outstanding facility. My caseworker checks in with me fairly frequently to check on the care my mom is getting and to see if I have any questions or concerns.Kathryn M

Amazing organization. My Girl Scout troop was looking to help an organization and they were amazing helping us integrate our different levels of girls. Additionally, they were so very inviting and helpful when trying to find service for a child in need.

UDS became a blessing for my mother, who became ill, and for her family members assisting with her care. A company starts only with a name; it is their employees who make it a success! For our family, Coordinator Janelle Swank was our blessing. We were overwhelmed with the entire process. Janelle patiently sat down with us to explain and review every detail of the entire process. Once she started the plan of action (which takes time, and patience, for all parties involved), there was no stopping her. She would always return our calls in a timely manner. She made sure that our mothers’ needs, those which fell under her scope of responsibilities, were being fulfilled. This in turn, took a lot of stress off of my sisters and I, which is an important factor when caring for your loved ones when they can no longer care for themselves. Lifestyle changes are not always easy, and can be very overwhelming for not only the ailing family member, but for all family members involved. I gave UDS 5 stars for their job knowledge, their ability to get the job done, and for the ongoing respect extended to my mother, and my sisters and I throughout. I would highly recommend United Disabilities Services to any families with loved ones needing ongoing support and care. They are dedicated to meeting the needs of their clients.

I have been with United Disabilities Services for several years now . . . even though they are over-taxed with so many customers and so many things to do for us, UDS provides EXCEPTIONAL SERVICES! Out of all the Support Services around, UDS by far surpasses them! TYSVM UDS for providing us with the much needed services here in our home!

UDS provided three different home modifications for a double leg amputee disabled person in our home via OLTL Waiver program. The initial handicap bathroom addition is amazing. The ramp for his wheelchair as well. The Supports Coordinator has been very helpful. Every person whom I have had contact with over the past 8 years have been nothing but professional. This organization has been life-changing for the disabled person who it services. A blessing.

UDS provides such great services for people with disabilities in the communities that they operate within, and their services are quite diverse. Good people helping those in need, sometimes directly in a persons home, other times through assistance in navigation through the myriad of governmental programs that can be quite confusing.

Im POA for my sister who has MS. Shes legally blind and has limited mobility. Without the help she receives from UDS aides each day she would not be able to stay in her own home. Thank-you, UDS!

I am one of the owners of Age in Place Home Care and provide home care services to participants throughout PA. I have closely worked hand in hand with Jill Bensinger from UDS as well as a number of other service coordinators at UDS on numerous participant cases for a few years now. Jill is tremendous to work with when dealing with her participants. I cant say enough about her willingness to always go the extra mile for her people.Along with UDS, I also deal with many other service coordination agencies throughout PA. In my opinion, UDS and its service coordinators are some of the best and most thorough that I have ever worked with. Additionally, my compliments go out to supervisors Natascha Young and Melanie Dopke for putting together such strong, dedicated teams!

As a Home Health provider, we rely heavily on the ability to communicate with the Service Coordinators in regards to service authorizations, changes in the service plans, increases, decreases, hospitalizations ect. Faithful Nursing LP works with many Service Coordination agencies, and I can honestly say that UDS has risen above with their rapid response rate, attentiveness to agency requests, and overall concern for our patients health and safety. Faithful Nursing LP will always be willing to accept any referral given by this organization.We just have to give a special shout out to some of the amazing people that we have worked with through UDS, Monica Ladson, Sally Carey, Angel Miller, Andrea Eagle, Alma Campbell, Joan Clawser, Joanna Knosp, Jennifer Bond, Sarah Gainer, and Kathleen Haefer! No ones job is easy, and you ladies rock at what you do! Keep up the good work!

We had no trouble with UDS for 8 years- Then, our service coordinator left. His replacement was slow. Worse, she refused to honor our Power Of Attorney. She, and her boss, harrangued my son to make decisions that he was not capable of making. He became anxious and upset. They wouldnt let me fire them and get a new agency. Theyre forcing us to go to court, pay thousands of dollars, and put my son in a more restrictive environment (Guardianship) The whole idea behind the Care Coordination system was to keep clients OUT of Guardianship. UDS is holding his records hostage and refusing to let us go to Casey Ball Agency.Run away! Save your loved ones from this gestapo organization. Theyre rotten from the top down.

UDS is doing incredible work in the Lancaster area, and my company is so happy to be a part of the marketing end to make their great services (and people) more visible. Plus those puppies!!!!!

Never seen such terrible work or people. $25,000 for new bathroom for my mother-in-law, who is a wheelchair and within 5 years tiles floor came up and toilet fell through the floor. They came back and promised to fix, ripped up entire floor and are now saying they are not coming back. Floor still out and no toilet to use downsatirs. Never use this organization!!!! Ripping off disabled people, how can they live with themselves??????

UDS has been a WONDERFUL help for me to stay in my home. I honestly dont know what I would have done with out them. I would have been stuck in my bed and with no help if it hadnt been for UDS. THEY are awesome people to Karen who answers phones to there construction group and my dear Stephane Has been whipping some butt getting me things Ive need.
