Once the Y could reopen during the pandemic, they have done everything to protect the community, my family, my children. The aquatics director and swim team coach came up with a plan to reopen the pools and be able to keep the kids safe. My youngest has gotten phenomenal care and attention in his swim class and will be ready for swim team this summer at the age of 5. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the aquatics program, director, staff.

As a senior citizen with Health problems such as heart failure I want everyone who sees this review to know that they fired my son because he would not sign a paper that said if he called off 3 times he would be fired in a year, and it only applied to part time workers not full time. I need him here to take care of me sometimes because he’s the only family I have that lives in Lancaster Ohio, this is no way to treat a person with a parent who is slowly dying the ymca does not care for the employees and their family.

As a former childcare employee, I would not recommend working here. The supervisors were superficial and did not support me when I would ask for help. After putting in multiple years with them, they will replace you in a second. I would recommend working somewhere else where you are supported and able to learn and grow as an employee and a person. I would also not choose to send my child here.

I have been using the services that the Y provides for the past 8 years from childcare to the wellness center. They always try to go above and beyond to help and accommodate people. My older sons wanted to use the wellness center and was trying to get into the preteen weightlifting class. Unfortunately there werent enough kids to do a class so Howard and Susie were able to set up some one on one sessions with us. It helped that they worked with our schedules and just were incredibly nice! I can tell you that my son and I both appreciated it!!They need all the help and donations that they can get from surrounding businesses as they help out the community as much as possible.

I bring my grandson in for swim lessons every week. Each time we go in we are greeted with the biggest smile from our favorite staff member Norma. I know that I shouldnt pick favorites, but she is ours hands down. She always makes it a point to stand and greet us. She always interacts with my grandson, and all of the other little ones that come in while we are here. She is so bubbly and full of life. It is nice to see someone who always seems to enjoy their job. We are always sad when she is not there, we really look forward to seeing her. I really hope that her hard work and dedication to her position is being recognized. Norma, YOU ROCK GIRL!Jessica S.

Lots of great training facilities and programs. The only real issue I have is that the pool (which is nicely sized by the way) is filled with WAY too much chlorine.

Took my son there today for the summer camp program. He is a high functioning autistic child who only has a problem with speech. Within one hour of dropping him off, we were contacted by staff members who said we needed to come pick him up because they didnt have anyone qualified to watch him. Mind you, we contacted them prior to enrolling him and explained his needs and they advised that it would be no problem before driving all the way from Pickerington to Lancaster to drop him off, then heading to work. Very disappointed in this facility, the incompetence of the staff members to deal with a child who cant speak, their unwillingness to even attempt to problem solve, and the bad information that was relayed to us during the enrollment process.

Something for everyone! Dance, gymnastics, tennis, running groups, swim lessons, swim team, huge workout facility, even a ladies only section, sauna and yoga. Plus a variety of workout classes. You cannot get bored here and the staff is phenomenal. They offer lifeguard classes too for your teen! Im partial to the swim team and with two pools, they have a wide variety of options. The swim team is the only year round club in Fairfield County too. The swim team has years of experienced coaches and is one of the top teams in the Great Lakes Zone Region. They just placed 8th out of 86 teams at the YMCA Great Lakes Zone Champs in 2019 and then took 8 swimmers to the YMCA National meet this spring. The new CEO of the YMCA, Howard Long, is committed to being involved and making this facility one of the best in Fairfield Co. You really cant go wrong here.

I’m sorry but the facility is ok, yes. There are some things that could be fixed etc but that’s anywhere you go. That’s not my problem, it’s the people. This is supposed to be a Christian based organization, correct? I was even an employee that’s why this is sad. Let me just give a brush reason why I feel bad for these people that run this place. I worked there for let’s say 4 Months. Was a great worker, customers loved me but I got sick. When I say sick I mean cancer sick, also while pregnant. I gave them a doctors excuse giving me 2 weeks to figure out for sure what was going on. She scheduled me the first day after my 2 weeks was up without even confirming with me first then fired me casue I couldn’t make it in casue I found I have cancer while 3 Months pregnant and with a little. So yeah they probably know who Iam and I don’t care casue these people not once asked about me while working there or even after if I was ok if everything was alright, I mean NOTHING. Besides one person and I’d really rather not disclose her name, but sorry but this is not cristian like to me. This is not friendly like to me, this isn’t even care if you ask me. And I was even an employee let alone a customer. So that’s all I have to say, I hope these people wake up one day and I’ll pray for them. Thanks for reading my review, and if you want to go to a good gym yeah this is it but if you want a place where the workers and people who run the place actually care, this is not it.
