Really nice people here... I got stuck in a half hour road work delay, but they were still able to get me in for my colonoscopy. And thank you so much for participating in the prevention network. Your work is really important and greatly appreciated.

Called 4 times in one week with no call back. Left a call back message and number each time. Very disappointed and feeling like they dont appreciate my business or my time. Whats up?

I went here for the very first time yesterday. I met with the physicians assistant. She listened to me tell her my complaints and issues. She talked to me and told me what she needed to do. Of course they need to a colonoscopy, and she gave me samples of enzymes to take to help me right now. I was very pleased with my Initial visit with them. I would have loved to have met the doctors, but didnt get to do so. So far so good.

Great experience meeting with PA initially, to having colonoscopy. Staff very professional and competent. I was very much part of the surgical experience, the time out was handled extremely well by the physician. Very good care.

All my family goes to this practice. While I’m overall pleased with the doctors, trying to get in touch with the doctor/nurse is horrible. It takes days (if then) to receive a call back and their patient portal is currently down. A family member is currently in a severe Crohns flareup and cannot get a nurse to call back and has had to go to ER several times because she can’t get a response. The front office staff also never seems to have the time to call and make appointments for infusions when the infusion center is right beside them. It’s really sad that ineffective management of a medical practice is the norm these days.

I had a very bad experience in this clinic. The doctor never saw me. I was evaluated mainly by a medical student and in one moment by an assistant physician. It seems like the doctor only performs the exams. So if you want to be seen by a gastroenterologist, find some other clinic to go. Besides that, my medical report was inaccurate, with incorrect information about my symptoms. Lastly, they prescribed me a medication and I had to drive 45 minutes to get it. When I arrived at the pharmacy that they referred me to, didn’t have the medication. I was very disappointed to go through all this while being sick. I brought these issues to the nurse practitioner attention.

The medical field is changing, all doctors offices have nurse practitioners working in the office so more ppl can be seen. As far as setting up an appointment I guess its like everything else in life and it comes down to timing. My Dr sent a referral and I was seen in a couple days. What most ppl dont understand is that with GI issues you cant tell whats going on with out seeing inside the GI track or w/o imaging and thats why usually your 1st visit will be short and you will have to be set up for a procedure.

My husband was scheduled for a colonoscopy and a scope for his stomach this morning. I called on Friday to verify script for prep was called into our pharmacy and to get arrival info for date of procedure. On Friday morning I was glad I did that when she responded that it had failed. So Friday afternoon arrives 2pm, I called CVS to see if it was ready to only be told they had nothing there. So I called this office back to only find out they were now closed. I left a message. My husband also tried calling later Friday evening and left a message after receiving a reminder recorded call. Now this morning they call and I answer. It was the woman with who I spoke to on Friday. She flat out told me we should pick the prep up at least a week ahead if time because this has happened before. I told her that we were out of town and picking it up the Friday before was sufficient enough. She said no because theyre closed on Friday. I said that patients should be given a paper prescription to be able to take to the pharmacy when they system fails since it has done that more than once or they need to have their system upgraded so patients are not left out in the cold. I heard the beep beep beep you get when the line has been disconnected. SHE HAD HUNG UP ON ME. If theyre lacking in professionalism to handle this we definitely will not put my husbands life in their hands.

I’ve had 2 appointments with this office and both have taken less than 5 minutes, check-in and all. Both times the doctor I was seeing was sitting on their personal phone in their office. Very poor bedside manner.

My first appointment here was short. I was put in a room the PA came in I talked to her and let her know what my complaints were and asked was I seeing the Dr. she informed me I was and she would let him know my reason for the visit. The Dr came in 5 mins later asked the same questions as the PA he did no exam on me but set me up with 2 out patient procedures to be done in the office because of my complaints. I thought that was odd but what do I know Im not a Dr.

I went to Catawba Gastroenterology because I was having trouble swallowing. On my initial visit, I did not see a doctor. I dont know who the woman was that I saw, but she determined that I needed an EGD. I was billed $93.00 over and above what my insurance paid.On the next visit, I had the EGD. Dr Amin did the procedure. He was courteous and kind as was the anesthesiologist. I was disappointed that I STILL have trouble swallowing. Its better, but still a problem.I was billed $793.00 over what my insurance paid by Catawba Gastroenterology. Ive also received two other bills for lab work and anesthesiologists for over $250.00 EACH.This procedure has cost me around $1500 out of pocked and I still have trouble swallowing.Im not going back for a follow up appointment, because Ill be billed another $93.00 and I just dont want to pay any more for something that didnt really work.If you have this procedure done, make sure you investigate all of the costs involved.

This hospital is terrible. Called for nurses 4 times and they never came. Had to go to service desk and have myself discharged cause their employees just don’t care. They sit around the service desk laughing and joking instead of doing their job.

This is why Hospital ERs are always so full, because Doctors offices like this one are booked solid for 3 months out

Its a mystery to me that I never saw a doctor until the day of my surgery. Each visit I saw a lady. Even when I was sent back to them by my primary doctor because of blood in my stool, I did not see the doctor . The lady would leave the room and ask him his opinion but the doctor never came. I guess hes too busy to see his patients.
