Ive been seeing him over 3 years and hes Always been Helpful, professional and genuinely Kind. Ive suffer with crippling Psoriatic Arthritis which can leave you twisted in pain with an ugly Psoriatic Rash the RA Doctor i saw previously for several years had tried over 12 different medications. None of which helped me with the Success Ive found with this Doctor hes a Regular Modern Day Miracle Worker. I Have Never found him to be Negative or Rude in ANY way shape or form. I Would Highly Recommend him.

I was diagnosed with Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2014 at the age of 26. Dr Ahmed had no room but made room for me because everyone else was book. He caught it at the very beginning and because of it I am doing great. I absolutely love Dr Ahmed, he is very patient and will give you all the information you need. Thanks to him I am now 34 weeks pregnant with my first child. His staff are so great, I am do blessed to have him as my Dr, if it wasnt for him I dont know what I would have done.

First of all I wish I could give this a zero star, but since I have to give one to put a review up I will give one star.I would not recommend this doctor at all, I went to the office two times and the first visit I had a very long wait and the office staff (all but one) was rude and didnt seem to care if I waited or left. The doctor saw me for maybe 5 mins and just had me go back to my primary care doctor and get blood work done. The second visit was more of the same, long wait and unfriendly staff. This visit was just as short with the doctor and I was told that my condition meant I needed a medication that I had already been on and it didnt work for me, it made me cloudy and messed with my memory. I told the doctor how I didnt like the medication he wanted me to take and he told me to take it anyway. He either didnt care what I told him or maybe he didnt want to listen to me. I went to see my primary care doctor after my second visit with Dr. Javeed and I told her about the medication issue I had and she told me not to take the medicine, she also told me that if Dr. Javeed had an issue to tell him she was the one who told me not to take the medication. Now with all the unhelpful information and a lot of wasted time I just received a bill from the doctors office. I have medicare and Im permanently disabled so money is extremely short for me. According to the billing office my first visit was $350.00 of which medicare only paid 80% of my bill. For my second visit I was charged $150.00 and again medicare only paid 80%. I called to find out why I have a balance and was told that I should have known that I would have to cover the 20% of each bill. I asked why I wasnt told I had a balance when I went in for my second visit. If I would have known I had to pay anything I would never have seen the doctor again. The billing office said I should have known that Medicare only pays 80% and that they didnt need to advise me of this. I asked if she thought this was fair and she said yes. Really! I think if the billing office has knowledge of a bill they should let their patient know they will or even could have a bill. I dont work with insurance companies I dont know the ins and outs, but the billing office works with this everyday. I dont see how it is fair not to inform the patients and why they dont. So now I will pay the bill and will have to learn all about what my insurance does and doesnt cover. I guess this doctor and the staff dont really care about their patients, but they do know how to make money.

I wish I could give less stars. As an existing rhumatology patient for over 20 years, I saw Dr. Ahmed when I moved to the area, and needed a new rhumatologist. Dr. Ahmed made decisions about my treatment without consulting my lengthy medical history. He also rushed me out of the office with out answering questions and was generally rude and terse. In addition to the Issues with the Dr. himself, I have found that no one picks up the phone at the office, and calls are rarely returned. My PCP experienced the same issue when trying to get me my first appointment.

Dr. Ahmed on my initial visit was extremely thorough. Ran pages of labs and found my inflammation levels were off the charts, conditions included RA, Hashimotos Thyroditis, fibromyalgia and other conditions that finally gave me the answers that led to the right treatments for my conditions!I’ve been to many doctors for years who did basic labs but not the right labs! Wasted both our times and made me feel like I was crazy and unheard... all I can say is know your body and when your not feeling right keep fighting to get answers. It should not have taken years to get the right doctor and the right treatment. My normal wait time is about 15 min. I would wait for hours to have a Dr. as caring and thorough as he is.I wish I would have found Dr. Ahmed years prior to when I did. Would have saved me a lot of unnecessary pain, wrong medications and suffering. He knows what to look for and takes immediate steps to get to the bottom of the problems.D Grattan

The staff & Doctor were nice but the Dr. was not very informative and seems in a rush to get you out. I had a lot of questions and at my first appointment all he could say was I cant tell you anything until your blood work comes back. Than when I came back and everything checked out and I had more questions he would cut me off and say it has nothing to do with that. When I proceeded to tell him it has to because it happened at the same time he told me no, it has nothing to do with it. He wouldnt let me talk let alone evaluate the areas. all he did was look at the blood work and send me on my way. His last advise was to come back if it happened again... The whole point of my visit was to figure it out so it doesnt happen again!

Dr. Ahmed (and I use the term doctor loosely) used to be my Rheumatologist. I have severe Lupus SLE, Scleroderma, Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome, Raynauds Phenomenon, Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder, Fibromyalgia, Chronic ITP, and G6PD Enzyme Deficiency. First of all, even though I have been diagnosed with all of these medical conditions since 2009, Dr. Ahmed made me get retested over and over to provethat I do indeed have these conditions. I have medical records that prove that I have these conditions and I am disabled due to these conditions. Even when the test results came back and proved that I have these conditions, Dr. Ahmed was still skeptical and a few times his staff stated, you dont have this or that. I would respond, Then why am I here? Dr. Ahmed refused to listen to anything I said during my appointments and was often belittling and disrespectful. I tried to explain to him that one of the medications that he had prescribed for me, was contraindicated for one of the blood disrders I have and was causing critical level anemia (I had to get 2 blood transfusions). I stopped taking this medication because of this and Dr. Ahmed threw a fit when I told. He accused me of trying to kill myself. I said I was trying to do the opposite since the med he had me on wasnt of any benefit and was causing life threatening issues. He then tried to prescribe another medication that I had previously had an extremely adverse reaction to that is very well documented. He argued with me that I was just being difficult and not wanting to follow his orders. I asked him to look at my medical chart and it clearly said that the medication that he was trying to prescribe me was a known allergy for me. He backtracked after that and started back talking about the medication that I had stopped taking without his permission. A few days later I received a certified letter from him stating that he would no longer be my Rheumatologist. That was the best thing to ever happen to me as I am now in remission. I would not recommend this Rheumatologist to anyone. You are better off googling your symptoms and going from there.

I began seeing Dr. Ahmed in 1998. I was eeferred to him after a multutude if Drs could not diagnose what was going on. He was very thorough and diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritus. It was a long process to finally have a diagnosis because my symptoms were not typical of the disease. I was one of his first Remicade patients and he has done an outstanding managedTo put a long story short, I continue to see Dr. Ahmed to this day. He is an excellent compassionate doctor.
