I used the walk-in clinic last evening. I arrived just past 6pm. Visit ended just before 9 pm. I was informed that there was only one provider seeing patients so there was a long wait. Once seen, the provider asked which pharmacy I use. Provider said oh I will have to change the pharmacy to that one. So, I just got notice of prescription was filled at wrong pharmacy. My opinion of the visit was either the provider was overworked, tired, or incompetent. I could not even get a clear diagnosis of my condition. Additionally, the “nurse” took my blood pressure. After 3 attempts, she posted a reading that was ridiculously wrong. If they believed the reading was correct they should have dialed 911. The nurse stated that they would take the bp manually. Never did repeat. So VERY disappointed with visit. My lasting impression is they are not concerned with patient care as much as running a business. $$$

No stars one given to submit post!!! Long story short urgent care or ER would be better! I’m here upset this is why I stay in the house. Staff had me sign the clipboard then gonna have someone else before us I said umm excuse me we were next. Then she had an attitude the rest of check ins because of her mistake. She was like o I am by myself no excuse if it is policy to sign in first why did you tell me and not them. Then you wait wait and wait no hold on we’re coming we are backed up or anything. With kids they should do better because the situation is already hectic so why add to the problem of them being sick already. This will be my first and last time here. I am going to switch to a doctors office that is equipped for hanging when you are sick and you can walk in with ease and peace of mind. Came in at 12:17 PM and 1:25 PM still waiting and wondering when we will get called back. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Had an appointment for my little girl but waited in a room for 50 minutes. No communication from anyone, just sat there wondering if we might have been overlooked or forgotten. Decided to leave. I expect to wait in a walk in clinic but not almost an hour in an office with an appointment. A little communication would have been nice. If there is one doctor in the building for pediatrics, youre obviously over scheduling. Respectfully, nurses or front check in administration should be communicating if there is a significant wait time going on.

The providers formerly of Oyster Point are great, if you’re actually able to get an appointment to see them when an urgent need arises, since they’ve merged with Penn State. Child sick with covid symptoms and wanting to rule it out, but no appointments available when calling to schedule upon opening. They suggested their walk in clinic, which upon arriving had a several hour long wait in a crowded waiting area (probably faster to go to the ER). Decided it would be best to leave, to avoid potentially exposing all of the others waiting to be seen, since they don’t have alternative arrangements for those presenting with covid symptoms.

Had an appointment with my son yesterday at 4:30pm to see his Allergist (pediatric). We arrived at 4:20pm and immediately checked in. The guy who checked us in had to go see if the practitioner would still see us since our checkin time was 4:10pm. We made it there a full 10 minutes prior to the appointment time which was plenty of time to check in. I work in Columbia, had to stop at home to pickup my son and still managed to make it there by 4:20pm. I dont understand what the issue was. Then after the appointment which went fine, we checked out and were told that the next appointment, in six months, was at 4:10pm because that was the last appointment time they do. We were there and checked in in plenty of time for the 4:30pm appointment. If we had been late, I could have understood the attitude we got but we were NOT LATE. I cannot knock off work early for appointments. Just didnt appreciate how we were treated by the schedulers/checkin/checkout staff when clearly there was no issue.

Had a cat scan for a serious possible issue, radiology called me asking for me to call them back, hit 1 for first floor services, 4 for radiology and ask to speak with a nurse, after being talked to like I was bothering her for calling, she transferred me to a random floor, being on my lunch break and needing answers because of it being radiology calling, I called back, she then rudely said well I transferred you were you were supposed to go! then without saying anything transferred me again back to the main 715-1001 number. I never found out what radiology wanted. They never even scheduled a follow up for the cat scan with my doctor. When they ordered the cat scan, I was supposed to have blood work, they didnt even refer to the blood work, asking me questions that the blood work would answer, and was confused when I asked about my blood being drawn for the cat scan ( to see if my kidneys can handle the dye).At this point, you can clearly see this practice has lost all control of what they are doing, not only does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing, both feet have untied shoes! This has seriously made me reconsider all medical care, it seems no one truly cares about their professions anymore, and its sad that it has bled over to the medical field. Our community deserves better, but not until we demand it, will it improve.Sad this is what our care system has turned into.

I am reviewing this place on behalf of my mother who doesn’t handle electronics very well. This place doesn’t respect appointment times, but expects you to respect their time. I am going to start working with my mother to find a new office. She just waited an hour an a half for her scheduled appointment.I am only giving this place two stars because my mother was a patient at a different office with the same doctor, and had much better experiences. Hopefully lime springs gets their stuff together. I know this isn’t “quite” the doctors fault. Its obvious they are overworked. But I do feel something could have been done.If you can’t handle the patient flow, why are you still scheduling like you currently are?

The person I do care for had an appointment at 10:45 for an MRI. We even came 20 mins early and he was still not seen until 11:55. I understand MRIs take +45 mins but this happens every time we come here. It takes us an hour to come for these appointments. No matter how early or on time we get to their appointment there is at least a 40 minute wait.Employees do not seem happy here either, heard multiple conversations that weren’t appropriate (talking about leaving their job, why are higher ups getting raises but others are not?) it makes me feel sad that employees aren’t being treated well. I understand you many be short staffed due to the current times but respect or adjust the appointment times. This has been happening pre-COVID. We’ve come here multiple times and this has always happens. If patients can make an effort to come early or on time they should be seen accordingly.

If you considering going here please take a second and read my review.I understand that with this pandemic things have been crazy and have had to adapt to the situation in any medical facility Ive gone to. I was a former patient at oyster point and now I come here and have never been disappointed by the facility itself. I ended up changing doctors when the doctor they assigned me didnt meet my needs, but that is not the practices fault.Understand theyre getting bombarded constantly for the past year with covid questions and vaccine questions and theyre all pretty much worn out and the fight is not yet over so if you go there and service isnt 1000% to your liking, please be understanding. The service I receive here is much better than I have received in other practices, I will continue to go here for many years to come if I continue to receive the service I have received thus far.The place looks bad because of some one start reviews, BUT LOOK, they have been running pretty much booked for like a year straight, getting an appointment can be difficult, if you want seen today you might have to go to an urgent care rather than a doctors office. Its just how it is right now. To be serving hundreds of people a week for a year straight and only have a dozen bad reviews its not as bad as the stars like you to think 🙂

Very unhappy with both customer service and the billing practices of Penn State. I received services at the Penn State Lime Spring campus. I was on Medicaid at the time of service last year, and have improperly received a direct bill from Penn State nearly a year later. After 2.5 hours of phone calls, the Medicaid office informed me that not only did Penn State improperly bill the services to them, but that its ILLEGAL for them to direct bill a patient on Medicaid. The wait time for Penn State billing is 15+ minutes, and their representative were of no help whatsoever, telling me that it wasnt their problem. They were short and borderline rude. I have had to open a case with Medicaid to solve this billing problem. This is unacceptable.

Bottom line: Terrible practice management, herded around like cattle, feels like youre checking into an airport, no communication, often left sit and ignored, etc., etc.I only went to this practice because my long time family doctor from Oyster Point joined it. Once she left, I was debating finding a new family practice because I generally disliked this office atmosphere and the way things were run. Today was my very last straw.I had an important, time-sensitive appointment that I scheduled well over a month ago. I showed up to check in this morning only to be told my appointment had been bumped -- to last week. I asked how they had attempted to contact me and the receptionist could find no indication Id been called, emailed, texted, etc. I certainly had no recollection of a contact. Now to her credit, she attempted to fix the situation. She actually found me a time slot and had put me in it, checked me in and had me filling out the necessary paperwork. However, just as I thought this would have a positive outcome, someone else appeared and said no, I could not have that time slot and could not be seen today with no real explanation of why. There seemed to be no willingness to attempt to work me in to correct a bad situation. Nor did she have an explanation of what had happened to my appointment She said shed have someone look into it as if that would help. I went home, checked all of my avenues of communication and confirmed what I already knew --- no one had ever contacted me . Well, they were right about one thing -- I could not been seen today and I will never be seen there again. I went home, called another practice that Id been thinking about and explained my unfortunate situation. They got me in today and took care of my problem immediately. Thus, Ive found a new family practice. Its a shame I had to do it on a Monday morning under duress but sometimes the good Lord works in mysterious ways.

The airport terminal style waiting room for the doctors is a little odd feeling and checking in for the first time can feel a bit confusing with not just one front desk but eight! I see my doctor (love him) every six months. Since Penn State Health took over, my prescription refills dont last the six month time frame. That requires my pharmacy contacting the doctors office for refills. This causes delays & normally additional trips to the pharmacy. Now, if I have a plan with my doctor for six months, why doesnt Penn State Health run a parallel plan with the required meds for that period of time??

Absolutely awful experience. After having a skin infection for ten days that left me with fever and very ill, i was treated in the ER with IV antibiotics and told to follow up with family doc. Went to lime springs and the provider wouldn’t touch me or even come near me because of my past fever and current headache (which I mentioned was 100% related to the infection, NOT Covid). Mind you, I passed the temp screening and covid questions that got me in the door and was showing no signs of Covid. I even received a Covid test while at the hospital and it was negative, which I tried to explain to them but they couldn’t find it in my records and accused me of withholding information that i had a pending covid test. Then was told that it was probably a false negative and i should probably be rechecked. I ended up being prescribed a medicine for the skin infection from a single glance from six feet away. I will NOT take a medication for something the provider didn’t even take the time to accurately assess. I’m not even sure if that is ethical. I ended up being ESCORTED OUT like a criminal. Look I get that everyone is freaked out and trying to take necessary precautions and i would never knowingly put others at risk. But there are other illnesses besides Covid going on! There were so many other ways this could have been handled other than to act like i purposefully lied to get into the office. This situation was just incredibly unprofessional. Shame on healthcare providers who will turn away sick patients who rely on them....I will 100% be finding a new PCP who actually cares about patient health.UPDATE: iF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS I WOULD. MY LAST EXPERIENCE WAS THE ABOVE. YESTERDAY I CALLED NEEDING ADVICE (DUMMY ME NEVER SWITCHED PROVIDERS), AS I HAVE COVID SYMPTOMS AND NEED A REFERRAL FOR TESTING. THEY TOOK MY INFO AND SAID A NURSE WOULD CALL BACK. WELL GUESS WHAT...NO CALL BACK YET. I GET THEY ARE BUSY IM SURE. BUT AT THIS POINT, CALLING THIS PLACE A DOCTORS OFFICE IS A JOKE. But yesterday I called at 11:00 am for a sick appointment and was told that the schedules were completely full. At 11:00 am they couldn’t get my daughter seen all day. So we went to LGH urgent care and were seen within 5 minutes. I think is is absolutely crazy that I couldn’t get my daughter to be seen. I don’t want to leave as we love the doctors and nurses and medical assistants that are with the Oyster Point practice, but after these last two incidents I may have to consider finding a new practice.

Communication is terrible. I have been waiting a couple of weeks for a doctor to return my phone call. The doctors don’t listen to or communicate correct information that you’ve given them.

Really nice building! The person at the front could be nicer when you walk in, and desk people could be in a better mood, but the nurses are really nice and it’s a beautiful building!

The place is nice but not enough allergy nurses , my appointments keep being pushed up to Hersey with is out of my way . Not to mention she needs shots every week i dont understand how they can not make space for her knowing she needs the shot every week . I was happy when their office was across the street .

First let me say I have had many postitive experiences for years with Dr. Warren as well as some of the other doctors. My recent attempt however to schedule an appt. for my husband was subpar. The scheduler was both rude and unprofessional. Very disappointing!

I am very disappointed with this doctors office. I just started going here a couple years ago but my parents have been going here for years. They really are all about the money here. I came in with horrible aches and pains and they ran a couple tests but didnt ask too many questions. It turns out I actually have a UTI and because it has been going on for so long, it is now spreading to my kidneys. Thus, I will have to pay for a THIRD visit in the past 2 weeks here now in order to receive meds. I am just so disgusted with this practice and their unwillingness to ask any more questions than needed. I have been told theyve misdiagnosed a lot of people in the past too.

Today was my first visit since Oyster Point moved to the Penn State Lime Spring building. I am so disappointed to find myself in another huge, assembly-line medical office like the one I left when I first came to Oyster Point. I was so happy when I found Oyster Point because of its small, friendly, personal vibe. Too bad.

We like how there is always one one to take you where you need To go, and that when I was sick, I went right into the room to wait for the doctor!

They are a complete mess here. Penn State relocated the oyster point practice here (our PCP) and everything became much more difficult. The most recent frustration was an incorrect bill which is taking weeks to sort out when I was told I would hear back the next day after I initially called.
