The girls love it here! Emma (2.5) did awesome this time and was excited to go to the dentist!! Billie (1.5) is still getting used to the dentist but everyone there is so great and makes the kids feel safe and comfortable!! They are wonderful with kids and help to give parents great advice for helping their kids with dental hygiene!!

Dr. Matt and the Hygienist were amazing with my daughter. It was her first dental visit and said she felt brave there.

The hygienist was so friendly and made Makayla feel comfortable from the start. The hygienist gave Makayla tips on brushing more thoroughly that didn’t feel shaming. Dr. Amy was available quickly. Our visit was quick and successful!

I was referred to this office and Dr Matt by a friend. This was my daughter third dentist visit (she’s 2.5) and her first two visits had gone badly at an office in Rosemount. I was expecting the worst now that’s she’s older and so strong willed but she felt comfortable the entire visit and did great. They were great at explaining to her what was happening and were able to get every tooth cleaned. Highly recommend.

Everyone at Children’s Dental Care is amazing! They’re all so kind, patient and caring. My kids actually like going to the dentist (the toys for good checkups don’t hurt). The staff explain each step to the kids, let them touch the instruments, and are patient when the kids are a little nervous. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

This is the dental environment we have been looking for the kids! We have been through several offices only left with our kids being traumatized. I have moved all 4 of our kids to this office, and have no issues with brining them there. My 2 year old had to have a procedure where he would needed to be put under and I couldnt find a better place to trust. My other daughter also had 2 cavities removed, and still would go back. Great staff and doctors!

I brought our son in based on a referral from our primary family dentist. I was completely blown away. Our son had some anxiety in his first few visits to the dentist. His experience at Children’s Dental in Lakeville was completely different from the moment we walked in. He wasn’t scared, he wasn’t anxious, he saw it was just for kids, saw other kids next to him. It was perfect and his mother and I are so relieved! Thank you to Jessa, Dr. Amy and everyone else there, you’ll be seeing us for many more years!

Ever since Winters Dentistry sold out, the experience has been terrible.We loved Dr. Winters! Hopefully Childrens dentistry can learn a thing or two from her!

I was charged almost $90 to put fluoride on my kids teeth and the billing office was rude and not helpful at all. They will not make sure things are covered under Insurance so make sure you do your research before a huge bill shows up. Not going back unfortunately :/

While the staff was fine we were referred on a dental emergency for a specialist. We were not told we needed to have a consult appointment first. So we waited a month for the consult to be turned away for another month and by then the tooth was too damaged to do what they were supposed to do. They didnt care about needing spacers and rushed us in and out without letting us talk. We will never go back

We made appointments for both of our kids, got there and they told us that they do not take Delta Dental insurance through MNSure. I checked the Delta Dental website for our coverage and indeed, Childrens Dental Care is a covered provider. We called back and they realized, oh yes, they do take our insurance but would only let us reschedule rather than come back for our appointment times. This is not the first insurance coverage issue we have had with this office. Will not be going back, too much of a hassle trying to help them understand dental insurance through MNSure and pediatric dental coverage though health insurance!

This clinic is wonderful for children! The staff is great with children. My children wanted to go again as soon as we stepped out of the building.

My daughter’s first time going to the dentist. She loved it! The staff was very kind and professional. As soon as we left the office she was asking when we will get to go back. I’ve brought my daughter here twice. Once at 12 months and just today at 19 months. We will continue to come here every six months for her checkups. The staff is BEYOND friendly. They’re always really accommodating and helpful with my crazy 1.5yr old. Dr. Matt is gentle and encouraging. I never feel shamed or pressured. We love it there! 10/10 recommend.

Was referred to Dr. Amy from my son’s myofunctional therapist for a lingual Frenectomy. My son deals with general anxiety and I can tell you how pleased I was the how everything went. Dr. Amy took the time to prepare us before the procedure so we could practice wearing the laughing gas nose so he would be used to it, and that helped immensely. Would highly recommend Dr. Amy.

We went here for my sons first trip to the dentist ever. He is 4. The hygienist we had was a nightmare. My son was nervous and she did nothing to calm his nerves. She was visibly frustrated and held my kids mouth open while he screamed and she got his cleaning done extra fast. The point of the visit was supposed to get him used to the tools and instruments and procedures, we didn’t care if his teeth actually got cleaned. This hygienist wanted my son to be done as quick as possible and didn’t care how he reacted one bit. She didn’t show him anything ahead of time and when he resisted she forced herself in his mouth anyway. I was completely appalled. We will be finding a different dentist to bring our children to.

First off, I love that they are a mercury free office and have an alternative option to using a drill. Everyone was so kind, and my 3 year old was immediately comfortable. Dr. Ann was amazing and we will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

Wonderful experience! They were so kind and caring to my 4 year old. Great place for kids. They offer “Happy Visits” so kids can check out the office, pick out a toothbrush and sit in the chair before their actual cleaning visit. We took advantage of that and I really think it made a difference in my sons actual appointment. He was relaxed and even said he “loves” going to the dentist. Win!

The front office staff were kind and helpful, the hygienists were very good with the children and explained everything they did before doing it, and Dr Anne was wonderful and gentle with them too! I was almost in tears at our first visit to Children’s Dental Care! We went elsewhere for my son’s first visit and it was traumatizing, a year later we came here and it was like night and day. The hygienist was SO good with my son and could sense some anxiety, the way she talked him through everything and let me sit right by him was just so reassuring. I’m so glad we made the change!

We had a very patient & empathic hygienist. Made all the difference over last time! This hygienist saw my son was getting distressed & took breaks. A little empathy goes a long way!!! And, of course, we love Dr Amy.

We have been going to the Lakeville location for the past 4 years, and the staff there is wonderful. Annette at the front desk was very welcoming at our most recent visit. Lisa, my daughters hygienist at her most recent visit, was so great as well. My daughter had to have some x-rays done and was uncomfortable and didnt want to go through with the x-rays, so Lisa found a way to make her experience more comfortable and still get the x-rays needed. I was so appreciative of her calm and caring manner with my daughter. She put her at ease and made her experience a positive one. I will say that every hygienist we have had there has been great as well. We see Dr. Amy at the Lakeville office, and she is always so great. She is very personable, and she really listens to your concerns and always makes your concerns feel valid. You can tell that she really enjoys her profession. She has always made it a point to connect with my daughter when she does her exam, and my daughter loves to see her. We have been happy with the care we have received there, and whenever a friend of mine is looking for a good pediatric dentist, I always refer them to Childrens Dental Care!

I was so blown away by the amazing service we received at childrens dental care! The lobby with play area really made the kids relax and got them excited to see the dentist chairs. Going to the back room was very inviting. A wide open area for the chairs made the kids super comfortable. They were able to service all 3 of my kids at the same time which made it very quick. The dentist and the assistants were very friendly.

I have brought my kids to this dentist for the past 2 years after we relocated to Lakeville. Ill be honest, I waited way too long to bring my kids to the dentist, as one of my kiddos has a sensory issue. However, the entire team went above and beyond to ensure all 3 of my kids have a great, calm experience and never once made me feel badly about waiting so long to get them in. I am happy to say that all of my kids get excited to visit. They cant wait to play in the kids area in the waiting room and think its extremely cool to have their names on their headrests when they go in. We see Dr. Matt and he is literally the best. I feel like the team is realistic when it comes to treatment. They dont push anything drastic and unneeded, but let you know if something needs to be addressed. We wont be going anywhere else. We highly recommend Childrens Dental Care in Lakeville.

My 4 year old just had his first fillings, there was one on each side of the mouth, so it was scheduled for 2 different days. The first appointment he was so comfortable with Dr. Brent it was decided to go ahead and fill both that day. It was so nice that they were so flexible and he is excited to see the dentist again for check ups only!

My kids LOVE coming here! In fact they beg me to bring them! All the hygienist are really friendly and patient. The dentists we have seen have all been wonderful and great with interacting with my children! I recommend them every chance I can! The waiting room even has retro video games for the kids to play, so my oldest is still talking about going just so he can wait for the littles to be treated ;)

Overall a very good experience. Talked us through the procedure and insurance coverage before we even scheduled the appointment. The consultation went well and the procedure was successful.

Super confusing place to do business with

I’m going to start by saying we had a pleasant experience when we were seen in the office for my sons tongue and lip tie revision. However, for a dental office that has such strict financial policies and with all the very detailed forms you’re expected to sign in regards to those financial policies, I am very disappointed with how inconsiderate they are when reimbursement is owed to a patient. As I aforementioned, my son had two revisions done at the age of five weeks. He has dental coverage despite being an infant somI knew both revisions would be covered at 80% with deductible. The office had me pay for the revisions upfront and they assured me that after they submitted the claim I would be reimbursed within 4 to 6 weeks. Over a month went by and I had not heard anything. My husband tried calling and they stated the claim was submitted. My husband then stopped in there during his workday a few days later (we are 35 minutes from their office) and they again said they had submitted the claim. Finally my husband called our insurance company and they said they never received any claim. So my husband went back and they faxed the claim to my insurance... Finally it was received and paid. However, we are yet to be reimbursed. The amount of that reimbursement totals over $500. I am very disappointed with this dental office and how they have handled such a large amount of money. My son was five weeks old at the time of his revision he is now 14 weeks old. We have had to continually call this office and have been given the runaround I am not sure why they have taken so long to reimburse us even after my insurance company has paid them on top of the over $700 I paid them upfront. I would not recommend going here unless you are certain you can live without $500 for months on end and want to waste lots of time calling and calling and visiting to ensure that claims are submitted. I will never go back to this dental office.

My family has been seeing Dr. Brent at the Lakeville location for approximately 10 years. Dr. Brent has provided both my daughters with outstanding care over the years. The staff has been more than accommodating with urgent situations. I have recommended them to everyone I know. I am very grateful for their compassionate care over the years.

After visiting a few different pediatric dentistry locations in the south metro, we were very pleased with Children’s Dental Care in Lakeville. It’s very clean and the staff is friendly and great with small children!

The kids never fear going to see their dentist & hygienist. They are so efficient there that its even possible to get them in before school. The kids look forward to playing video games in the waiting room (I think they wish they had to wait longer) and getting their report cards & prizes at the end of their visit. Finally, there is never any hassle regarding insurance/billing which is important to us busy parents. Everyone there knows their job & they do it very well.

All of the staff members are patient and take their time with each patient, whether they are answering a question for me as a parent or waiting the 5 minutes it takes my daughter to pick a treasure from the box! An added bonus...birthday Plinko! Our daughter was psyched to win a gift card all of her own.

Hygienists are rude and ironically not great with kids. Their billing is a nightmare. I had to follow up on my reimbursement check 3 times, they admitted they botched it and forgot about mailing our check for $700 out.. They also tried to not reimburse us and instead keep the money and use it as a credit whenever we would come in the future.....uhhh nice try, please just give me the $700 you owe me. One nice gal in the front office, others were rude. I would not recommend this place, note all the negative billing reviews in here.

We all love Dr. Brent and the team at Childrens Dental. Were always able to schedule appointments when its convenient for us...and all 3 kids at the same time! Dr. Brent can even give us the orthodontic guidance & care that we need - hes fantastic!

Both of my children used to be very scared to go to the dentist. Now that we go to Dr. Brent they dont mind going at all. They have the newest technology and are extremely kid friendly. I recommend them highly!

We drove around an hour to go to Childrens dental care as they were the only ones who could accommodate our need for a consult on a frenectomy that was not 2+ weeks away (I called on Wednesday and they got me an appointment for that Friday). When we got there we saw Dr. Katie for a consult to discuss getting a frenectomy on our four month old baby and she was amazing at describing everything to us and with the care she provided to my baby boy. I also received a follow up call from Dr. Katie herself to see how my child was doing. Upon returning the call I had several questions and was able to speak to Dr. Katie directly and they called me back within 5 minutes of leaving a message. I would highly recommend Dr. Katie she is great! I was very impressed by this facility and would recommend them highly! Great place to get dental care for your young ones!

The financial practice in this dental office is completely unethical. My daughter was supposed to have work done, 1 month in advance the dental plan was submitted to our insurance provider and I received the details of the amount insurance would cover and the amount I owed. We went into the office and had the dental work done as I was leaving I was told I needed to pay three times the amount that my dental insurance informed me that was my portion to cover. I asked the receptionist why I owed so much she answered “we did not hear back from Delta Dental regarding this work” i knew this could not be accurate but I needed to pay the sum right away anyway. As soon as I left the office, I called Delta dental and was immediately informed that my claim was updated and available for This clinic to access they just did not check and than lied about this fact and overcharged me. I immediately called the clinic and was given a back track response “we just did not have time to check on this claim” well than if they did not check the claim why did they proceed to overcharge me? I could have waited a few minutes for them to log in and check the accurate amount that I owed. Once I looked further into my account I realized they also full charged me for preventative dental cleanings that were 100% covered by delta dental but again were not submitted and I once again was overcharged. I was than told “ we can apply these overcharges to future work” I said no thank you, I will look for a clinic that practices ethical financials even though the Dentists at the clinic are wonderful but I cannot risk being scammed this way again this is very unethical practice.

I have brought my 3 children to Childrens Dental Care twice now and I have to say it is the best dental experience I have ever had with them. They actually get excited about their appointments. All of the staff are friendly and professional and make me and my children very comfortable.

I want say the Dentists here are awesome. But the rest of our experience has been a nightmare. They over charge and when pointed out on this they get mad. The receptionists have been rude and unfriendly. I would have liked more of a friendly atmosphere and less playing games with my pocket book. If you choose to come to this place just know your insurance and know they overcharge and will be mad when you ask for your money back.

Dr. Brent at Childrens Dental has been our childrens dentist since they were 3. They are now 11 and 13, and I can honestly say Childrens Dental is amazing. I know technology has changed over the years, but when I heard my daughter needed to get a cavity filled, I thought we would need 3 sets of hands to hold her down. To my surprise, she didnt flinch. Dr. Brent has a way with kids, and even my daughter who struggles with anxiety, does not fear the dentist. I have heard they are a bit more expensive than other dentists, but thankfully we have good dental insurance. Even without, it is worth the difference you get with a pediatric dentist like Dr. Brent.

My children have always been well taken care of while in their care. The service has been personalized and we can see that the staff there truly care for their patients and do everything they can to make it a great experience.

My kids love that they are included in knowing whats going to happen next. They are made to feel comfortable and safe.
