Nice and clean. Employees are very nice and helpful. Its a nice way to get away or just take some time for yourself. It does take awhile (a month sometimes) to get an appointment, but totally worth it. Totally recommend it either for me time or if you have a sore/stress body part.

This review is on behalf of my partner and does not pertain to the entire establishment. When I booked the massage the staff was very friendly. This is solely regarding one therapist and I apologize for I do not know her name; he remembered her name beginning with a G or J (but not Jane). First, I scheduled him a one hour massage and judging by the time he got home this could not have been a full hour. He was quite displeased because his therapist talked the entire time. He did not feel it was a relaxing experience at all. He stated I went there to relax and forget about my problems, not talk about them. Also both of us filled out a questionnaire to ascertain what the main focus on the body should be (his back) and he felt not enough attention was placed there. Finally we both had listed the most firm pressure be used and he stated her strength was lacking. Again, some of the other therapists are probably fantastic but based upon his experience we will not be returning.

I am so grateful that I decided to book a massage for me and my mom at this location. We had purchased gift cards in May for a Mother’s Day special, and were FINALLY going to have them done. When I arrived, I could not locate the gift cards, and was so upset. I had already rescheduled due to a family emergency, and was doubtful I would be able to accommodate both of us before my baby would be due in just 4 short weeks. Tessa went above and beyond, (enduring my emotional meltdown) and helped me look up the gift cards with the number , that my husband had luckily found in a purse I left at home. She helped us navigate the tablets and get back in time, with a smile on her face! Thanks Tessa! Mary and Gabby were both so sweet and patient with us. We are not “frequent flyers” and we’re kinda nervous and out of our comfort zones. They made us feel right at home! Not embarrassed at all for lack of experience with massages. They even invited us back, and educated us on a lot of health benefits of massage. My mom has fibromyalgia, and Gabby did such an excellent job with her!!! She ranted and raved the whole car ride home. I am 36 weeks pregnant, and cannot remember a time my back has not hurt. I feel so wonderful!!!!! I had to take the time to do a review and thank everyone for being part of our experience. We both felt like princesses, and will definitely be back!!!

This is the worst establishment ever. Don’t waste your money signing up they can’t get you in for massages so you end up paying and never getting to redeem them. They are under staffed but still signing up new members instead of taking care of current members. We were members for years and in the beginning it was fine but something has changed ( can’t be blamed on COVID) the office staff are young and not experienced the voicemails I have are comical to say the least. Management is not any better. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else.

Consumer beware.Stating that you should not show up for your appointment if you are not well..... they will charge you 50% of your service. I was with them since May 2019. They give great massages and facials. Destiny in the office was very rude... And management didn’t honor their word given to me.

Ive had 2 back surgeries (thoracic and lumbar) in the past 6 years and have chronic pain (neck/shoulders/back). Tia is AMAZING. She listened to me describe my pain and knew right where to go to alleviate it. She positioned my leg/hip in such a way... that she could better penetrate the gluteus medius and piriformis giving me relief I never thought possible. Same with my neck/traps/shoulder. She even found a muscle knot near/above my ankle that was causing a chain reaction of spasms in my calve. She is humble, very knowledgeable, and been at this location for several years ...making her dependable. Shes also passionate about the career that she said chose her, not vice-versa.I moved to this location from Largo... And it does take quite some time to fit into a rotation for your 1st massage...they are busy...and, like many other service industries right now, are short staffed. The trick is to make your next appt before you leave your current appt. Trying to be seen a day or so in advance is difficult. You can always call and check for last minute cancelations, as well. Staffs always helpful.

It’s always a great experience every time I see Bruno Bersanetti at Massage Envy in South Lakeland. If you’re looking for a deep pressure type of massage, I highly recommend him. I had a facial there and it was ok, it kind of burned my skin and they dont do a good job with extractions. I really thought it would be a good deep cleaning especially for 90 mins. And they are always booked for a massage so I can never try and get one.

Turnover is disappointing. In six months the second therapist with whom I have bonded is leaving. I made an appointment with a therapist to try that person out and was not thrilled. I just made an appointment with another therapist to try but The online confirmation was with someone else.I had to call and explain that I wanted the therapist with whom I had made the appointment. I was told she had no appointments that day so now I have yet another random person on a different day. I’m not going to renew my membership.

VERY displeased with the way they handle there business. If you get a membership here read with a magnify glass because if you want to cancel and have prepaid massages you will loose them and if you have gotten a new card and havent updated them on it they will keep charging you every month so when you do go to use your 1 massage you have already paid for you will have to pay for all the other months as well before you can use that and if you want to cancel you also have to pay for all the other months as well before they let you cancel. I will no longer be coming here and make sure to tell everyone as well not to at my dealership!

I have a membership with Massage Envy. Prices are reasonable especially when your someone like me with a physically demanding job. I have used a few different massage therapists in this establishment, two weeks ago I used a young lady who’s name started with a T, I wish I remembered her name because she was amazing. Deep tissue, allowed me to have my 6 year old daughter in the room with me in which was unexpected but I really needed the appointment.I have also used another gentleman three times, but I unfortunately will pass up on his services moving forward. He is a great massage therapist but I’m not there to talk the entire time. I need quite, and I’ve tried to politely just stop conversation a few minutes into the massage but he will continue to talk. I don’t even like to answer when he asks if I’m alright when he knows he’s hit a knot or spot that’s extremely tender. I know he means well but maybe they can come up with a system. Like asking us if we are open for conversation during the massage or if we would like quite peace besides answers to questions pertaining to the massage.One more thing, this is the second visit I’ve been falsely informed of the amount of massage minutes I have built up. So I chose the 90 minute which only cost me 20$ plus my monthly. But after my appointment Friday night, I ended up leaving paying 60$ PLUS MY monthly fee due to being told wrong account information. This will be the second time.The tables are not warm like they used to be? The head rest need to be adjusted so are necks aren’t flexed towards the floor.The bad taste will leave soon and I’ll pick a new masseuse. But overall I’d like this place to return to a 4-5 star establishment.

I honestly received the best massage I have ever had in my life. He found all my aches and pains and worked out the knots and kinks. He truly was great. Very professional and knowledgeable. Im a member of Massage envy and have gotten a massage once a month for over 3 years. Ive had Amber Adler as a therapist a few times and just recently on 11/23. She is wonderful. Listens to everything I say and does a fantastic job on the Massage. I look forward to seeing her again!

Currently, you have to wear a face mask through the entire massage and I get it, but it is very uncomfortable. I was literally gasping for air the entire massage and was not able to relax. Just before the shut down to quarantine, due to Covid-19, I got a massage and decided to get a ME membership. Literally, a week later they were closed due to quarantine. I would have cancelled my membership at that point, but you can only cancel your membership in person and no one was in office. For the two months of quarantine money was still being withdrawn from my account. When they had opened back up I decided that I would use the two massages I had acquired and cancel my membership because I did not know if things would have to shut down again. Those last two massages were agonizing. I had to do everything within my power not to hyperventilate. I appreciate their efforts to prevent the spread of covid-19, but I dont think face masks for the client through the massage session should be a thing. Yes when entering the building and waiting for the session to begin, but not during the massage. Maybe once things change I will give them another try.

Phil is amazing!!!! I came in today with a knotted neck and couldn’t turn my head left at all. He knew exactly how to loosen me up and with the right amount of pressure and stretching I can now move my head like a normal human. I have been to him twice now and I think I will request him from here on out!

I have been a loyal customer of the Lakeland location on and off for 5 years.... My wife had to have emergency surgery for a 6 centimeter rupture in her diaphragm with 6 to 8 weeks of recovery time.We were told we could cancel our membership anytime and NEVER told of any waiting periods before you could cancel.We went into have our last session and the counter representative filled out the cancellation forms and asked us to sign to which I stated There be no more withdrawals from my account and she stated there wouldnt..Today I check my bank account and Massage Envy debuted our account $110. When I called I first had to call 10+ times at 10am when they opened at 8am as the phone kept saying no one was available and to leave a message.When I finally got through I was told there was a 10 day cancellation notice. NO ONE ever said anything to the sort when we signed up saying you could cancel anytime and no mention of this when we cancelled. They filled out everything and asked us to sign the cancellation page.I was told the manager would call me right back at 10:06 am and its 1120 am and I still have no call back, so it shows how little they try for customers retention..From the reviews Im not the only customer whos had this problem so beware to anyone wanting to patronize this business as they are so nice when you sign up but act like they know you or appreciate you if something comes up.I WILL NEVER UTILIZE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN AND STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DONT EITHER

I joined Massage Envy because of a car accident then had another one in February of this year a minor fender bender. One Massage Envy gave me a massage another would not till I saw a doctor. Super dissatisfied with this location. I originally started my membership at the Wesley Chapel location, who are amazing and on top of things. I actually live in Lakeland but the Lakeland location did not have skin/facial services at the time. When that opened up in August, I started to use my monthly services closer to home for obvious reasons.. the drive. My first experience with the Lakeland one, they had me sitting in the waiting room for thirty minutes (which bled into my appointment time) until they finally realized I needed to fill out my info again on a tablet. I did this at Wesley Chapel before so I assumed I didnt need to do it again. If not, I would have said something to expedite the wait time. I just thought they were running behind. Every experience making an appointment since then has been horrendous. There was one day I attempted to call the establishment 6 times (twice on my way to work, twice on my break and twice on my lunch break) all with no answer. While I thought that would be a one time thing, I was sadly mistaken. Anytime I call, it is impossible to get someone on the phone. Leaving a voicemail with my work schedule is pointless because I cannot answer most of the time if they were to call back... I expect a business to answer the phone during business hours. I work in customer service so if they are too busy once or twice, I totally get it. But this has been 5+ times and thats unaaceptable. Last time, I had to call the Wesley Chapel location just to try to get in touch with them and verify I had the correct number. Not only has the number been correct each and every time, but no one called me back as promised. I work two jobs so scheduling something ahead before they fill up is important to be since I have very limited time. This poor level of service is causing me to cancel my membership and take my services elsewhere.I clearly have massages and facials left to use so after taking time out of my day to drive up there and schedule something, the receptionist was rude and made no attempt to dissolve the situation or apologize for the inconvenience. I will never refer anyone to the Lakeland location.

It’s been hard trying to cancel my membership here. They call you and reschedule your appointments ALL the time and at the last minute. My account has been debited multiple times past my due date in a billing cycle. I just want my account cancelled. I have to go to my bank just to cancel.

This was my third time in the last 2 years. The reception was so loud and obnoxious even from the tranquility room we could hear every word that was said and every door that was slammed. My massage felt like it was going well, but now 2 days later I cant move my head because my neck and shoulder were far too overstretched and think that they are injured so they are overcompensating and have completely locked down. What makes me even more upset is I asked for my lower back to be the main focus and she barely worked on it. Now Im (a) still in pain in my lower back and (b) Im in so much pain from my neck and shoulder that Im nauseous. I am going to have to miss class tomorrow as a result of this and as a grad student this is very upsetting as it affects my grades. Im so upset with this experience.

If you are looking for a way to relax and get those acks and pains taken care of then Massage Envy in Lakeland is the answer. The staff are so friendly and the therapist are the best. My wife and I have got so much out of the treatments we have a membership. They have so much to offer. Thank you Massage Envy for being part of our great health!

I was getting massages there when I was at FSC. I ended up moving, but when I visit, I always make sure to schedule a visit in with Amber. She is the best there is and I always look forward to coming back to see her! And my friends at school I guess.. :)

First time try to go there bad service cancel my appointment 20 minutes before my appointment time I hear bad things about this place from a friend but I got a gift from there and now I can said I have a bad experience never coming back there again 😡

After calling and cancelling with this place they proceeded to not properly cancel the appointment and after calling to fix the miscommunication, they proceeded to act as if my husband was lying about cancelling because they didnt have record of it and he stated he did have a call history showing he called. They proceeded to say, instead of only charging 50% of the bill it will be a full 100% of the bill. She was very disrespectful and didnt handle the situation right at all. Stress free is not what this location gives. They are awful women who think stressing out their customers is funny since a few of the workers were leaving and smiling. If you want to go to a place that actually cared do not go to this place. Im a business owner myself and would never treat people how they treated my husband.

There are a lot of other places you can go with better service and a nicer atmosphere for a similar cost that won’t trick you into membership. The worst part is the cancellation policy, heaven forbid something come up even if you call, if it’s less than 24 hours they will take your money. The first time I came here my massage therapist did not say one word to me, by this I mean she never asked about what I wanted or why I was there, and didn’t even wait outside my room with water when she was done. I guess her shift was ending because she left before I could even check out at the front counter. Very poor customer service.

Christine Hicks is awesome...she is a great massage therapist. I definitely recommend her to anyone who wants a great therapist.

Tia is an amazing therapist that helps you work on any issues you may have or just to feel good and relax. She is the best.
