I just moved to the area & I need to buy contacts. I’ve been going to America’s Best for a few years but this is my first time at this location. I was greeted by Melissa, she assisted me right away. The store I went to previously put the wrong expiration date on my prescription, so Melissa called them & had them fix it right away so I could purchase the . She was very nice & patient. Superb customer service.

Very pleased with the service. Took a team approach to getting me into new frames that would not only fit my needs, but look good on me. Double checked the pupil measurements so my new shades would be right the first time. PRATIMA, YOU ROCK!!!

Absolutely the worst place! I paid $100 and didn’t get glasses or contacts. My appointment was scheduled for both. Poor customer service. I am hearing impaired and told them this. I had to ask them to repeat themselves and speak up over 20 times. They do not accommodate disabilities.

I had a tough situation when The place I was staying threw away my contacts. I called to get a statement that would show how much they cost. They went out of their way to help me and even surprised me with a trial pair to help me out In the interim. Thank you so much Logan! I have been coming here for years for a list a reasons the customer service is the best I have experienced in any industry the manager Micheal is so friendly and caring during COVID I was standing while I was being helped he cleaned the chair and brought it to me after he helped me pick out my new glasses. Then his coworker Pritia has such a friendly relationship with him they were just great and helpful with my insurance too. Can’t say too many good thing about this place they get a 10/10 from me.

Very disappointed with this place Will never use them again went to my exam They ordered new glasses for me when the glasses came in my eyes were watering and burning really bad They told me that I needed to adjust to the glasses Three weeks later my eyes were still burning and watering really bad so I took the glasses back because I did not think the prescription was right They insisted the prescription was right and refused to do anything for me So now Im stuck with a $600 pair of glasses that I cant even wear. Also want to add that the Oakley frames I bought are poor quality frames. I went to LensCrafters and spent another $486 on Ray Band frames and a new prescription and now I have the right glasses for my vision

Their friendly enviroment and knowlegeable staff made my expericece with this new transtion much better.

I made an appointment for my son for 5pm. I filled out the paperwork online as requested to speed up the process. I arrived to a zoo of a waiting room. It is 5pm and they are telling me that I have to wait 45 minutes to an hour. Whats the point of having an appointment? I tried to reschedule due to the long wait and they advised that I would have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. Unacceptable! Due to me not being given more options for Americas Best scheduling mistake I will have to take my business somewhere else with better customer service going forward. For now I am stuck waiting.

To start with I scheduled an appointment I walked in and they said they canceled my appointment because the apt wasn’t confirmed, they did not have my phone number or email and the lady slammed her pen down at me when I asked to reschedule because she said it would be 1.5 wait since they canceled the appointment. Then the tech was very nasty to me being passive aggressive. These employees will treat you horrible I am appalled. I went to leave and told the desk and she said okay she could have cared less when I explained my experience of how I was mistreated. These women hate their jobs and seem to hate people in general. I just wanted to get my eyes checked and got treated horribly.

Like any place you have good and bad employees. My first time here i met the the bad one, and wasnt going to come back. But it was close and easy, so I tried again thinking if I had another bad experience Id go somewhere else. To my delight I was met by by the good one, he was very helpful and a joy to work with. My son went to get eye exam and contact lens because his glasses broke and he cant see to go to work. I had done contact lens before and they would give me a pair same day. After all was done they told my son he had to take a class and they didnt have available until Wednesday. Are you kidding me a class to put on contact lenses. I went and to speak with the receptionist very rude by the way and she referred me to the Service Manager Logan which was even worst. Customer service is horrible and asked her to speak with the doctor because my son cant see and he works on Monday, he needs to drive and his eye sight is necessary for his work. Logan did not care she did not allow me to speak with the doctor. I said we then wanted a refund and she did not care she was immediately willing to give us the refund. Ive worked in customer service for over 20 years and had never seen such poor customer service. Its ashame because Ive been a customer for the past 4 years and think at least she should have let me explain it to the doctor being that this is a safety Hazzard when you cant see. I want to be contacted from someone in upper management. Logan you did a horrible job and you call yourself a service manager?

Each time I come to this store the service has been truly exceptional. For this reason I will continue to come back, and recommend both family and friends. Be sure to ask for Michael whenever you need a proper fitting or adjustment. He is very thorough, always pleasant, and genuinely cares about the people hes helping. To make a long story short, I recommend you just go somewhere else.I went for a contact lens fitting, and was given a new prescription. The doctor told me to wait 10 minutes for the contacts to adjust, and then he’d come back to see how they were. That seemed normal to me, so I waited. I sat there for more than 10 minutes waiting for the doctor, and the whole time my sight never improved. The contacts were also uncomfortable, and they were giving me a headache. On the plus side, I did get to pick up my glasses that had come in, but was unable to test them out that evening in the store.Finally the doctor came back, and I explained that I was having issues. He took me back to the exam room, and reviewed the prescription. After, he determined that the contacts he gave me were the best ones, and said that the prescription he wrote down was the most accurate to giving me 20/20 vision and sent me back out to pay.While dealing with the lady at checkout, my headache started getting worse, and was making me feel sick. I told this to the girl, and she went back to tell the doctor who told her just to give me my old prescription back in the contacts. First off, they didn’t have the old prescription in stock for my left eye to give me anyways. Secondly, why would giving me the old prescription help? It seemed pointless, so I told the girl nevermind and left. I felt like the doctor and everyone else just wanted to get out of there for the night. The doctor didn’t even bother to dilate my eyes during the exam, which they usually always do unless you decline otherwise.I took the contacts out immediately and put on the glasses I picked up. However, those weren’t right either. I am unable to see clearly out of them, they’re causing headaches, and I can’t see anything up close when I read (which I’ve never had this problem before as a nearsighted person). I’ve worn glasses a long time, and have never had an issue with a prescription before until now.I took the glasses back up to the store the next day, and was told to just try them a week. The optician tested the lenses, said they were correct, and to just bear the headaches for a week if I could. Ok fine, but it normally doesn’t take that long to adjust to a prescription. The optician was fairly condescending when speaking with me also. He acted like I was making it up or something. Anyways he adjusted them and I left. Told me to call in a week if I was still having issues.It’s exactly a week now that I’m writing this, and I still haven’t adjusted to the lenses. I can’t see at all and I’m having constant headaches. I called just this afternoon and the woman I spoke to was incredibly rude to me on the phone! I plan on going up there tomorrow after work, but I am just fed up with the service. Don’t waste your time or your money. Please go anywhere else.

Came in store to place an order for contacts at this location, after having my exam at the store on the north side (great experience at the other location) .. and the staff at this store was so rude! They made me feel uncomfortable, I’m there to spend my hard earned money, and the man helping me was so disinterested and dismissive. They weren’t busy at all (probably for this reason), it made me very uncomfortable. I spent my yearly benefits elsewhere. I would not recommend. Two stars only because the store was clean and presentable.

Worst customer service, terrible Covid rules that don’t make sense. They always have attitudes and make people feel bad for asking any type of questions. After years of using America best they officially lost my business. I been waiting weeks for them to call me about my husband glasses and my contacts we order and no one once gave us a call to tell us they were in.

I had a great experience at this store. The doctor was very nice and professional. The staff helped me pick out 2 pair of glasses and they explained the extra coatings I might need or not need. I took a while making my decision on glasses and they were patient with me. All the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend this location.

Definitely a total rip off.I purchased my frame from Americas Best. They wanted to charge over $350.00 for my no line bifocal lenses. I only purchased the frame and went back to my eye doctors office in Zephyrhills and paid $143.00 for the same lenses.I only had these for 2 weeks when the paint began chipping off of the frame.I returned to AB and the manager greeted me stating Oh, that should not be happening on a frame that new. He then pulled my file and his entire demeanor changed stating that they would not cover it since I didnt purchase my lenses from them!! This is so wrong...A frame is a frame no matter who made the lenses.COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!

I’m sorry but just an all around bad experience. I go into their offices twice with a face mask, it’s a neck gaiter. The first visit they meet me at the door and offer me hand sanitizer which I politely refused....”then I need to escort you to the bathroom so you can wash your hands...” Seriously? Then they insist on taking my temperature....ok, fine. I get glasses ordered, they call me in about 8-10 days saying they’re in. I go in and try them on and one eye is fine the other lined tri-focal is cut a full 1/2” higher. No one notices this until I get there? Quality control seems to be lax. I die laughing and of course they offer to redo them which was the right thing to do. I get an automated call a week later saying they’re ready again. I go in and no glasses....they have no idea why I was called. Keep in mind I’m still using the very same face mask from visit 1. They figure it must be some sort of automation problem and apologize. I explain, “certainly they’ve pushed my glasses ahead of the line since it was THEIR error on cutting the one lens incorrectly.” Gentleman says, “I’ll call them to make sure”......seemed like a no brainer to me but ok. Almost 3 weeks later my glasses are in....again. This time they stop me at the door...seems my face mask doesn’t comply with CDC guidelines and I’m not allowed inside. The same face mask I’ve worn in twice before. I am forced to wait outside while a young lady brings me my glasses as I’m standing on the sidewalk outside of the building.....with maybe 4 people inside including employees. What about 6ft social distancing?? By the way I wear the same gaiter to my regular Drs. appointments and I haven’t had to wait outside for him a single time.....no I don’t think I’ll ever go back. Love the glasses but everything else was ridiculous.

This was the second time I had an eye exam at this location. The staff are always very short and sometimes rude because it seems this location is understaffed and they are very overwhelmed. When I went in for exam the staff member was extremely rude when doing the first part of the exam and when I went to see the doctor for the second part of the exam she threw out my original contacts I had worn in. Why? Today when I called about my written prescription that was supposed to be ready on 7-7-20 and it’s now 7-11-20 and is still not ready. So now I have to wait even longer to get my written prescription and deal with rude/overworked employees for another day. This will be the last time I come to this location or even America’s Best in general. My suggestion is to get another employee or stop taking on new clients if you can’t even take care of the ones you have now.

Appointment waiting game. My appt here today was at 1 p.m. they advise you to get here 15 min before appt. I got here at 12:55. It is almost 2:30 I got seen with the doctor at 1:45 min then with my eyes dilated and I cannot reschedule due to already having my eyes dilated i waited for about 30 min again just to get the contact portion exam done. They have one doctor working and has a line of patients triaged and ready for him. I dont see how this is efficient for anyone that works here or to the patients that are having to wait. They definitely need more doctors to the amount of patients being scheduled. I will not be coming back here as soon I am done I am going to get my prescription and get my glasses else where. If I get my glasses here Ill probably leave around 4.

Although you may have had many pairs of glasses, you probably have no idea about how involved it can be to correctly adjust a pair to properly fit your face. If you go see Melissa (MEL), you will learn this. Melissa is an absolute professional in the optical field. She is extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about her trade. ( she actually loves her Job). If you want wise advice and competent service regarding any of your optical needs, I strongly suggest that you go see MEL.

If I Could Give A Negative Zero Star I Would!!!!! I was greeted by the general manager with a low class, trashy attitude about if his sign was facing out or not (a very important sign that was facing SIDEWAYS explaining there may not be a licensed optometrist on premises) then he continued to have snide remarks and comments. I was then attended to buy a lovely lady that helped assist with my frame choice and a VERY thorough and friendly optometrist. Being over twenty days now Ive still not received my second pair of glasses that I NEED more as they are for reading (Im a teacher) and am being met with incompetency, rudeness and also no effort to rectify the situation explaining that if I want a refund I will have to wait until the store opens again and that that could take two days, two weeks, two months, who knows.For all of us vision impaired I would recommend unless you can afford to lose money and still not see as well as find it a joy to be treated like you should be grateful GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Went in for the 2 bifocals deal ($99.95), I did the exam, picked out 2 frames and everything. Told the sales person what I wanted exactly. My bill was $62 higher than I expected ($ 99.95 + sales tax). When I asked why it was higher I got a shrug and told thats the price. I paid and ask corporate why, they stated I had ordered the aniglare coating, I did not.I was told I could cancel and go back and redo everything, I need glasses mine got broken while assisting with a medical emergency, and the ones I had were over 2 years old, I had to get rides because they were not strong enough to allow me to drive.Overall they are ok, but I guess when I said no thank you the sales associate heard yes please or what ever. The part i hated was when I asked about why it was so much more, the lack of response I received says a lot.If for whatever reason my glasses are not good I will make another review about that.

Will most likely find my family and I a new place to go to. This place has disappointed me every time. Every time I call or walk in, customer service is so poor. You guys are here to help, am I inconveniencing you every time I have questions or need to be serviced? It seems like no one’s ever in the mood to help, or when yall do, everythings done in a rudely manner and it makes me want to leave. Why put my money and time into something that is important to me into a place that just won’t care. Yall need to get your mood together because this isn’t how you treat your customers seeking advice and eye care. Plus, they are very expensive.

Went in to look at new glasses, i am returning customer, my son and i both had masks on, i needed his help with picking out two pairs but they would not let him in. They only had two other customers in there but refused to let him in to help me. No matter how much i needed his help. I was upset but they didnt care, so sad.

I am rating a one star because of the horrible customer service that I receive from the receptionist - Donna (I think was her name) each and every time I call. Even when trying to bring in more business. The doctor is great and even his assistants in the back... but I am highly considering taking my business elsewhere because of this persons behavior. Its not just unprofessional, but very ugly. I cant even deal with her nastiness to make it in to see the doctor.

Didn’t have them for one day and they broke. Only went there because of my insurance. ........Well I took them back to get them fixed. Was very unsatisfied with my glasses. Just did not like them at all. Then I met Cora. She is awesome. Fixed my crappie glasses and now she is sending my old glasses in to have my new prescription put in them. I’m so glad I met Cora.

For one they dont push nothing on you. Im not much of a glasses wearer but was helped my a sweet woman who assisted me in picking frames that were beautiful and I even got contacts as well. Im hoping I get my glasses soon. Also FYI there the place you wanna go if you dont want to spend an arm and a leg. They have nice designer frames as well!

I recently purchased 2 pair of glasses at your Merchant Walk Lakeland store. At a cost of $700. Upon picking them up I was told they are out of glass cases to protect the new glasses. Luckily I had brought in some old glasses for donation to Lions Club. We had to take back out glass cases to put our new $700. Glasses in. Not acceptable. I previous had purchased all my glasses at Americas Best. In NY. State. Never didnt have a nice new case to put them in. Seems like this store needs more training in customer service.

We should have read the reviews first, wish we could leave 0 stars. Charged for a contacts eye exam and their 3 year “Club” even though they knew my daughter couldn’t get the contacts in and out of her eyes. Ended up over paying for a single pair of glasses, and the club that we can never use and they knew that. When we asked about it when picking up the glasses they said “sorry about your luck, service has already been rendered.” A free service when you buy 2 pairs of glasses, that we paid for and only got 1 pair! Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

If you look at the reviews theres many customers who are NOT happy with this place. I wish I looked at them before I went. It took almost a month for me to get my glasses. At the end of the day its about customer service.I did NOT get any. I will say a mgr named Logan was helpful and tried to make me happy. She was the only positive thing about this place. I would NOT...I repeat...I would NOT go back there. Do a little homework and find a better place than this.Look at the other reviews.... Theres too many negative ones...That speaks volume! It gets 2 stars because of Logan the mgr. She is a nice person who tried 2 help me.UPDATE: August 1stThe mgmt replied to my post. They want the opportunity to make this disaster right. My response is when I walked into the store that was your opportunity to get it right the first time. Thats when you need to make sure you take care of the customer. NOT when they have received SUBPAR customer service on two occasions. It took almost a month for me to get my glasses. I will say it again...lesson learned! Do a little homework and find a place that will do the job right the FIRST time!!!! I will not be going back there!

This is not a very good place to go for fast and courtious service. The people who work their treat you like you are an imbacile and completely beneath them. They are very rude to you. Dr. was fast we picked out the glasses we wanted and at checkout the GM of the store tried to tell me that there were no discounts that I was getting a pair for $40 and I should be happy and was not happy when I corrected that they were more than that with the cost of eye insurance walked away and didnt bother to finish the transaction

I read the reviews before going and was a little nervous, but I absolutely was treated with respect and the staff was very pleasant. You will not get a better deal. I like the fact that you can pay $99 and get 3yrs of free exams and also discounted prices on eye contacts and glasses. I walked out of there with one pair of glasses, eye exam, and 3 months of contacts for $273 worth every penny. Yall just got my business! A place I went to for 10yrs was going to charge me $174 just for an eye exam and one pair of contacts for not having insurance.

Normally are good but I came 4 mins past my 5:10 appt and I was told to reschedule.... 4 mins..it wasn’t even 5.. I was only four minutes late. They said they already took their last patient but are open till 7 🤔 I was only four mins late and wasn’t a new patient.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would my husband had an appointment and it was horrible. The young lady lied and told him that he needed a certain exam they made him take the exam then gave him a contract afterward that stated that he had a choice whether he wanted to take the particular exam or not and there was a $15 fee in which he was never informed about until afterward the young lady then tried to make him sign the contract[theres more but Id rather speak to corporate & the better business bureau about it ]. He was in the waiting area and the entire staff talked about him while he was there(doctor, front desk etc. ... How unprofessional !!They are con artist money hungry and will do anything to fill their quota. Do not waste your money .. Go to another location . We have never had this problem with their company before. Poor choice of staff.

Be sure to read the fine print, that is where I messed up. The 2 pair price is only for single lenses. Also, if you dont want to pay for the second pair (which in my case for bifocals is very expensive...over $400 for one pair) you have to pay for the eye exam, which was reasonably priced at $45 I believe. I paid just over $600 at Eye Express for my eye glasses and a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and cases for both, something that is extra here. I bit on the advertising without exploring the fine print. Needless to say, I will be going back to Eye Express the next time I need glasses. By the way, this review in no way reflects on the people working there...they were very nice and professional, it was just the price and my fault for not reading the fine print.

Please spend your money elsewhere. Im sure the doctor on staff is qualified. I guess I will never know. The staff Donna and her so called supervisor Justin have horrible customer service. I ask a question about contacts Donna was so rude . I asked for a supervisor Justin got on the line,no apologize, Just said Donna was trying to explain the policies. He was not much nicer. All over a question. How can you make an appointment if thecstaff isnt capable of answering a simple question. If I could rate a half star I would.

I was takken as soon as I walked in the door. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions that you have.I would definitely will bereturn customer. There prices are very competive and the quality is top notch. The glasses also came in early from when when they said they would be there at the store.

Exam went well except for being pressured to do the field vision test which I already knew I would fail. I explained this to the tech multiple times. (extra $15 out of pocket for this exam). I failed. Multiple times. Again.Called a few weeks later to get contacts. I was told I didnt need to call & that I could just come in & pick them up. So I do. They couldnt find my chart, and then they couldnt find the right contacts. Eventually I left with contacts in hand.Went in today (about 8wks later) and it will be the last time. I told them I wanted to get contacts. The tech or whatever she is (Khyrsten) insisted I had to order them. When I finally said that I didnt have to order last time; she asked for my name.. then said they have them in stock but that I would have to pay for them. Ok? Of course. So I responded okay. Instead of just letting me pay and letting me get on my way she replied, well, thats called ordering them.Well Khyrsten. Ill go somewhere else for my contacts. There are plenty of other places that will gladly take my money.

Shady people. Rude. Undermining. Made me feel like I was in court. Im not the type to go into details. My time is valuable. Go elsewhere before your left giving a bad review like myself and these other below . I will say, I had to walk back in to remind them they never gave me my purchase! Literally took my money. Lakeland store. Stay away ..(2days later) The owner just left a responce asking for the info Ive ALREADY INCLUDED. Ie: location and name. She could have very easily found me. See why they have a poor rating?
