Dan Bernard is a very professional and great counselor! He was very inviting and was easy to talk to. He has a ton a knowledge to share in helping deal with any situation that you throw at him. He is also a very considerate and patient therapist. I really enjoy Dan and he has helped me out in so many ways! I would recommend him to anyone in need of counseling.

Dan has really helped me and my partner overcome a very difficult time in our life. Dan has opened our minds to think things differently, to learn how to really communicate, we feel heard and he has great insight on how to keep moving forward. We will continue to use the tools that we’ve learned with Dan. Completely unprofessional! I went to Dan when in need of a marriage counselor but found him to be incompetent and unprofessional. We went in for maybe 5-6 sessions and never got on track. The important issues that I needed to discuss were always off limits. The assignments were unhelpful. When I voiced these concerns, he minimized them and brushed them aside. I’ve seen a few different therapists over the years for personal issues, so I know what’s reasonable to expect. Worst of all, he lost his temper on two separate occasions. He got so upset that we had to cut a session short and that was the end of our interactions. Really awful experience.

Ive seen Dan about 8 times and am continuing to do so. Hes been very helpful in the arenas of relationship enhancement and grief. He gives practical advice and is a good listener. He remembers past discussions and my activities well. He has a nice office with easy parking. Most of all, I like his personality and would want him as a friend if I wasnt seeing him professionally. Great counsel and direction in highly appropriate fashion. Paul

It’s been a couple of years since the last time we saw Dan. We were a couple that needed more than just some band aids. We were at a point where we needed someone to help us to close this chapter without hurting us even more. Instead, we got more than what we bargained. With the help of Dan, we realized how much we still loved each other, we needed to learn how to talk to each other once again, how to listen and how to support each other. Its been a little over a year since my husband and I last saw Dan. We first started seeing him when we were engaged. Our engagement brought out a lot of fears and anxiety for both of us and it even revealed some habits, that we both had, that were destructive to ourselves and to our relationship. With complete and unwavering trust in Dan we were able to overcome the emotions and behaviors that kept us from embracing the sheer joy we had in our relationship. We have now been happily married for a little over a year and are the proud parents of an amazing baby boy. We are so very grateful that we had the courage to seek counseling but even more grateful that Dan was the counselor we chose to open our relationship to and ask for guidance.
