Tried to schedule with Dr Barber (former patient) Was told he now only does surgery.Scheduled with Dr Makender. The y ca)ed yesterday saying he was notavailable .Rescheduled with Dr Jones.I arrived today ...no Dr Jones Was told I was now scheduled at the Deland office .When I asked if they called to let me know,I was told. No !! I now needto find a reliable eye clinic. Too Bad

I’ll start off by saying Dr Sluch is a very good doctor and the surgery went very well. I am happy with all that. But when it comes to the billing I don’t know where it all went wrong. I paid my Bill every time I went in. Never had a balance. Suddenly a little over a year from the last time I went there I got a bill for $190.00. Out of no where. I called and the place does billing for more than one doctor so you don’t even get to ask what it’s from and get a answer from the office. It really stinks and I am not happy at all now I keep all my credit in good standings and have to figure this out.

I feel the luckiest person on earth to have found Dr. Scruggs. I recently made a desperate call to my medical insurance looking for a second opinion for a post-op complication. My insurance agent gave me Dr. Scruggss contact. When I called to make the appointment, I wasn’t sure if Dr. Scruggs was willing to see me due to the nature of my appointment request. However, I received a call back with the great news that he would see me at his Lake Mary office. 2 days later, I went to the appointment. First, I noticed the office is beautiful and clean. His staff is courteous, and the wait time was minimal. I met his assistant Karen who is very attentive and took detailed notes of my medical history. When I met Dr. Scruggs, I was impressed with his assessment skills, his bedside manners, and his attention to detail. He listened to my concerns and was very honest with me. Since my cataract surgery on one of my eyes, I have not regained my vision fully. They did not provide me with a reason. The Office Manager is very rude. Im sorry I went there.

If you find yourself inside Central Florida Eye, you can relax knowing you are in the right place! The staff is great, the office is maticulous and Dr. Scruggs is great. He actually follows up on his patients!! I, for one, am so grateful for being referred to Dr. Scruggs when I was. He went out of his way to see me, when a number of doctors closed their offices at the beginning of the pandemic. I think care to this degree needed to be shared.

Dr. Scruggs is an amazing surgeon.He has treated my wife and me, and created beautiful eyes for both of us.More importantly, he has restored aspects of our vision which were not there prior to his helping us.This morning, it was my pleasure to refer a very good friend of ours to Dr. Scruggs and his wonderful team.

Having dealt with Drs. Barber and Mackinder in the past and with Dr. Chih today, I highly recommend using Central Eye Specialists for all your vision needs. My family has used them for vision checkups, repairing a torn retina, cataract surgery and allergy issues and couldn’t ask for better care.
