Dr. Glaser is knowledgable but I was displeased with my experience. She arrived late to my scheduled appointment with no apology. We had a informational conversation about birth control options (Im already on the pill to regulate my menstrual cycle), but I did not appreciate she was insistent and very vocal about an IUD. I respect her explanation but she did not offer other suggestions with such conviction. This was not my first time seeing an Ob-gyn or my first pap smear, for that matter. Unfortunately, when she had began the pelvic exam she was so determined to administer the exam that she did not allow me to fully relax. I was really tensed, positioned uncomfortably, and overall felt indifferent (in comparison to my previous pelvic exams). Perhaps it was a sensitivity or a mere mistake of judgement....but when she began the exam I suddenly felt a electrifying pain I had never experienced before. When that initially happened, Dr. Glaser appeared to not be concerned as she continued and the shocking pain executed me again. I acknowledge that she then became very apologetic and worried of my reaction, but then had the audacity to ask if I wanted to continue the pelvic exam. Of course I was taken aback with the pain but also when she removed the speculuum...I was again surprised to see and feel that much blood expel from there. She says it was normal but that was new to me because I never bled after a pelvic exam. What really displeased me was that she was not compelled to call or mychart me to ask how I was doing or to discuss what had happened. Oh I forgot to mention...after the pelvic exam I had painful urination which I never had before. The following day she posted my test results and I took the initiative to mychart her about the incident and the painful urination. She was glad I reached out and then called me to converse formally over the phone. She did not want to take responsibility for the pain caused and redirects my painful urination to a possible uti. She was insistent I return for a urine test just to check. I respect that and understood her sense of urgency but after what I experienced I decided I would not return to such setting until I felt emotionally comfortable. She tested me by trying to convince me to do the urine test the next day but I was upfront with her in saying I will not return. She then tried to explain to me the urine test isnt invasive or anything like the pelvic exam. Like woman, are you serious? Ive done pelvic exams and pelvic ultrasounds in the past with no problem...and to belittle me with explaining what a urine test is. Mind you, I also did not want to do the urine test because Id rather deal with painful urination at the comfort of my own home. Needless to say, I do not plan to include her in my medical team in the future. Overall, because of my experience and how we communicated I chose a low rating for Dr. Glaser. I sincerely hope no other woman has a similar occurence and I am hopeful Dr. Glaser will learn from what happened at my pelvic exam. I also hope she assumes a more unbiased and transparent guidance of medical advice and options.

I was and am so impressed with Dr. Glaser - she is young smart and compassionate. I came in with a problem had appointments by her wonderful staff- made immediately and had some answers at the end of the day! - plus she reached out to me at the end of the day to see how I was! I saw her at 7:30 AM and she called me late afternoon to see how I was. Not to many Drs. Ive had have been that concerned. You go girl!!!!
