Dr. Cohen is a smart and kind doctor. He saved my life twice. Very competent and knowledgable of medications.

Dr Cohen is very experienced. He helped us from our first visit. Happy being his clients for a year already. Few our friends are happy with his help as well. Highly recommend.

It basically took my husband and I two years to find a good Psychiatrist. Dr. Cohen spends an adequate amount of time with the both of us. He asks targeted questions that enable him to try and figure out a new or keep us both on the same treatment plan. He always hears us out, shows concern at all times, and very respectful of our feelings. He is very knowledgeable of medications and safety issue and their interactions with one another. Uses ADDICTIVE medications with extreme caution. And finally Dr. Cohen and his staff are extremely respectful, professional, and we never have to wait once we arrive at our schedule appointment. Hes warm and very empathic. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen. He is an excellent Psychiatrist. We appreciate him a lot and are thankful for having him as our healthcare provider. Mrs. J.C.

I like Dr. Cohen and I think he is a very good psychiatrist. He does care about his patients, he just does not sugar coat and tell people what they want to hear. Rather, he is very straight to the point about his opinion and perhaps some people dont like that. However, everything he has said to me makes perfect sense and I would definitely recommend him to others.

Waited 2-3 months to see dr. Cohen. He spent less than 5 minutes talking with me. Gave me a prescription for an anti depressant that he basically just gave to a stranger.... Unethical. I beg anybody who really needs help to go elsewhere. He does not care

I cant say anything negative about Dr. Cohen.. hes been extremely helpful in situations that were worthy of him not being so, wait times are minimal, etc. Never the less, my experience has been nothing short of Excellent.

Saw this psychiatrist for a few years in mid 2000s. My appointment was always at lunch, so basically I sat and watched him eat lunch, and ask me hows it going? I would respond fine, I guess. He would fill my script for antidepressants and antipsychotics and send me on my way - 10 minutes for $200.The most irritating thing was his refusal to make eye contact, ask any pertinent questions about me or my situation, and not once asking me who my previous psychiatrist was, so he could get information from him. If all you want to do is get your script filled, hes your guy. If you are expecting any sort of actual psychiatry, which, by definition starts with an Initial psychiatric assessment of a person typically begins with a case history and mental status examination., go elsewhere.I knew from my previous psychiatrist from another area that his behavior wasnt the norm, but it took moving to another area and getting established with a new psychiatrist to realize just how far below par this guy treated me.

Terrible doctor. Doesn’t give a crap about his patients and only wants money... he was a real creep when I saw him. He asked me why I’m taking birth control even though I’m gay... Everyone knows birth control can be taken to regulate hormones, you creepy dumba**. Don’t waste your money, go to another psychiatrist.

If I could give less stars I would! This is the worst psychiatrist! Spends less than 3 minutes with you and will only give one prescription monthly BUT ONLY AFTER YOU SEE HIM ON A MONTHLY ROTATING BASIS! Go ahead and see. Most Doctors, if its an ongoing issue like anxiety, will write you refills so you dont have to keep coming in and running up your co-pay bill and they dont bilk your insurance. Not this guy! No psychiatrist NEEDS to see you every single month! Thats unheard of for anxiety. You might have to see a psychiatrist several times a year to get meds right for depression or something, but when your issue is established for anxiety long before him and he wants 12 VISITS PER YEAR, its a scam!! Once a month is 12 visits. No one sees a Psychiatrist 12 times in a year! Ive never even heard of that! The time and money it takes to schedule these appointments but then...to him, no visit to bilk insurance for himself means he wont give you the refill you desperately need which has the worst withdrawal effects one could ever have to go off anti- anxiety meds cold turkey! DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY!

As a child I was having episodes that where causing me black outs, confusion, disorientation and he ordered me into a psychological unit, Capistrano By The Sea. Dr. Cohen said I was Pathological and manipulative and that I had a Personality Disorder, with Hysterical Neurosis I have Epilepsy!! Yet I was locked-up, treated like a liar and even put into a straight jacket TWICE during these episodes. Horrible, horrible man
