Ruth was my masseuse. She started off by asking me how she could spoil me...how can it not be great. I liked her approach. I had the 90minute massage with a peppermint scalp treatment and hot towel foot treatment. Ruth was attentive to my comfort and checked with me to make sure she knew what areas to work on and the amount of pressure needed. Additionally, I mentioned I like my knees done and she said she had a whole routine; she did and it was awesome. I came out feeling rejuvenated. Recommend.

I have had two services completed at Stone Massage in the last 4 days. One a sports massage from Joel which was excellent and a facial from Laura which was nothing less than stupendously wonderful. Both Joel and Laura were the epitome of professional and I can very comfortably recommend them both!! Wonderful support staff running the front of the house as well!

Been going here for years. The staff has always been friendly and they have always been kind and cooperative when I have worked with them.Recently I started getting deep tissue massages from a guy named Rico for a prior lower back injury which started haunting me again (I was rear ended on 405 freeway in 2015). I say this without hyperbole: hes changed my life. My back pain has gone down from a constant 8/10 to an infrequent 3/10. Ive gone from getting out of bed stiff as a bored in pain to waking up and not even realizing my back issues exist. He communicated well about what I should do after seeing him and Ive been reaping the benefits from that as well. Cant overstate how much I appreciate this guy and what he has done for me.I will most definitely be coming back here in the future, and will be sure to ask for Rico again if I do!

Well I like this place, but today they get a negative review. I prepaid a bunch of sessions but just got hit with a ten dollar charge to use one of them for my wife when were coming together. How is it worth $10 to create that kind of negative experience for customers who were trying to relax?

Booked a last minute facial this afternoon and what an amazing experience! Laura gave hands down the best facial I’ve ever gotten. Amazing atmosphere, thorough service, and great price. I even signed up for a membership! Can’t wait to make this a regular treat for myself!

I have paid the monthly $69 membership fee for a few months, only had 2 massages, called to cancel as I have not used, (I just paid monthly fee 3 days ago), and was told I had to pay an additional 30 days before I could cancel. This is NOT good customer service, and demonstrates that Hand & Stone Massage cares more about their bottom line than the best interests of their clientele. I will never use again, and will recommend my friends do not use.

Ive been training and preparing my body for a 60 mi charity bike ride and with that comes very tight muscles. I called last minute for an appointment with Joel and got in. He listened to my concerns and really provided relief for my tight, sore muscles. Its very important that therapist listens to what your body is feeling; Joel listened to me, tailored the massage to provide the relief I needed. Hes awesome!

Although the massage was good, I felt $130 was way overpriced. For that amount of money there should be a spa area with steam rooms or saunas. There is only a public sitting area in the front so there is no place to relax as in most spas. To make it worse, they didnt tell me that they no longer take the gift card I got from Spa Finders even though it is clearly listed on the website. After discussion, they did ended up taking it but I felt that my $50 gift card was wasted, I could go a lot of places for a 50 minute in and out massage for the $80 I ended up paying.

Have been trying to cancel my membership for a year - despite sending formal written correspondence and disputing credit card charges (they have been credited to my account) Hand and Stone is still charging my credit card...Edited with Update: on 7/21/2020 the day after the owner responded to my review I was charged another $69.95.....

My therapist did a great job, but it was awkward that I kept having to say no to her trying to upsell me things. Declining the hard sale is not relaxing. Unfortunately, I left with a bad taste in my mouth and wont return, simply because of that.

I called this business and canceled my contract on June 29th. I was told that a manager would call me. I informed the person with whom I was speaking that I did not wish to speak with a manager because I did not wish to hear a sales pitch trying to persuade me not to cancel, I simply wished to cancel. She did not advise me that a cancellation form was necessary. I did not return the managers call. I was subsequently billed in July and August, and I disputed those charges. In the course of that dispute, I did speak with the manager and told him that I had canceled my membership on June 29th. Those disputes were successfully resolved, but I was billed again in October. I spoke with the manager again, and he agreed that he would now cancel the membership, but he refused to reverse the charge for October. I was never sent a cancellation form or told that I needed to complete a cancellation form. The massage therapists were very good, but the management is unethical. This type of business practice is unacceptable.

My wife and I had a couples massage. Great staff very friendly. Massages were both great.We stayed at the Montage which is a 50 yard walk from hand and stone. Montage $400 per person vs $120 per person and hand and stone.

I just had one of the best massages of my life. I have had at least 100 massages in my life and Ricardo at Hand & Stone was among the BEST. He focuses on pressure points that cause disruption in the body. It wasnt just relaxing, it really helped my neck and back pain. Everyone at the spa was so nice. I will be back. Thank you, Ricardo!

Good trigger point deep tissue massage. Horrible Customer and Front desk reception ignored me as Senior to attend to young Group of women. I will not go back with that type of reception. Plenty of Parking.

I just returned from a long trip through mongolia, lower back pain and arms. Chris knew exactly how to relieve the pain in those areas, I have not had a massage in years, he was very attentive and understanding of my pain. I would definitely recommend him to anyone going for a first time massage or just looking for someone compassionate of body pain. Thank you!

The massage was good (I dont get them very often, but my wife does and she said it was very good). Heres my rub: I booked this as a couples massage for Valentines Day. When you look up pricing under Couples Massage on their website it explains how wonderful a couples massage can be and if one scrolls down the pricing is found (or so I thought). It states $89 for a massage and a couple of others are listed. I tried to bood online, but one must call for a booking, which I did. I booked the reservation and was never told anything more. So my wife and I had our couples massage and upon check out I was told that with the 20% tip I gave the total would be $305. When I question the clerk she said the $89 is an introductory price and there was an upcharge for Valentines Day. I told her I was never told this and she said they tried to be very dilligent to inform everyone of the charges. I just feel it is unethical to protray prices as one thing on their website, when it is clearly not the case. I do not return to do business with those who conduct themselves unethically so I will not be going back and I suggest to those who are thinking of booking be sure to get your price in writing.

Got a facial with microdermabrasion. The day after my treatment my face is sore & scabbing in some places from the extractions. I asked the esthetician to only use clarityrx products, as I am allergic to dermatologica, so I know I am not having an allergic reaction. I believe she was just too rough while doing the extractions. I have been going to another Hand and Stone location for over 2 years and getting the same facial every time, microdermabrasion and detox, so I know that this is not normal. I will continue to go to Hand and Stone for my facials, but I wont be returning to this location. I gave two stars because the staff was friendly and the spa is very clean.
