Today Candy was my colorist and stylist and she was fantastic in every way. She listened first, liked at photos I was able to share for ideas and then explained to me what she had in mind. Loved the final look!Let me also give a shout out to Jamie for the over the top job he did at scheduling our brides & bridesmaids appointments for the day of my daughters wedding. He was patient and super-accommodating in explaining how things would work that day and in helping us book exactly what the attendants needed. Cant wait for this prepping party for our big day!

This was the worst pedicure and manicure of my life. I have pictures to back it up. Half my fingers were painted, my cuticles were not trimmed, and it took nearly two hours. It honestly looked my five year old son painted them. On top of that, I got a toe fungus from this pedicure. I kept the toe nail polish on for a beach trip. When I returned home, I later took the nail polish off. From where the nail polish started to the end of the nail had turned yellow.

Great ambiance. Everyone was so nice, personable, and engaging. I felt very comfortable for my first time. It was as though I’ve been there multiple time. The services were GREAT! This willdefinitely be my new place to have my personal self care time.

The spa is nice. Complimentary water, coffee or tea is offered. They have many services available. I did ask for a deep tissue massage but got more like a moderate massage. It was still.good. The room I was in had high ceilings. I prefer to feel a little more closed in during a massage with dimmer lights and lower ceilings but dont let that deter you from going. The other massage rooms appeared different.

The massage by carl was the best I’ve ever had. He really worked on my problem areas and was very knowledgeable and iinformative. The manicure by Deja was also wonderful.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with our couples massage… the people here are so kind and thoughtful. They made our experience worth coming back again. Thank you Spa Mizan for the awesome experience!

Simone is phenomenal- I’ve been going to her since before we 3 year old was born for prenatal massages and no matter how long it’s been she’s always excited to see me making me feel welcomed and relaxed. I will not go to anyone else. She never disappoints and is by far the greatest masseuse in Lafayette in my opinion and I’ve been getting massages sine every I was 15. She is exponentially the greatest thing about spa Mizan, besides the average products of course.

I not sure how the other services are but for $100 the spa pedicure manicure is definitely not worth it. Although my technician was nice I felt like I was getting service from a new student at a cosmetology school. My cuticles were not trimmed. The cut of the nails were not that well done and the finish polished job was very uneven and not smooth. After two days polish coming off nails. Yes the wax treatment is nice but does not make up for the rest of it. It was my first visit there but will not be back or recommend this service.

Pedicure. My professional pedicure person was very sweet and kind. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. When I left, I wore the disposable sandals and proceeded to make 1 stop and then home, wearing them and being careful to allow to polish to dry. When I got home, I went to pull the sandals off and the polish came off with it. When I rubbed w/my finger polish came off. I called the salon immediately and informed of the problem- it appeared the oil underlay from pedicure massage prevented the polish from adhering and polish did not stick. They spoke to manager and I was offered to come and have polish “re-applied”. I live 45” away. I would have expected a return at my convenience for a reapplication of the polish and a time in the future that works for me, not them. Very disappointed with their service recovery. They obviously need a new manager.

Today, I received my first ever massage and facial. I’m so glad I chose Spa Mizan!! The whole experience was great. Both ladies (Simonne for massage and Carmen for facial) were great at explaining what to expect and checking to make sure I was always comfortable. After today’s stellar experience, Spa Mizan has a customer for life.

This is the 1st time I used the spa they are wonderful. They ate very friendly and made me feel so comfortable and also gives recommendations if u have any questions or concerns they are very helpful. Also the spa setting very peaceful and relaxing. I definitely recommend them if u want a day of pampering and relaxation.

I went for the Mother’s Day Deal (Queen for a Day). The massage and facial were great. The pedicure and manicure were fine, but the polish they use isn’t the best. After an hour my toe nail polish was still not dry completely.I requested my hair be styled in wavy curls. After blow drying my hair with a curl styling brush.. my hair was still flat. The lady then proceeded to curl my hair with a curling iron. My hair was still a little damp... the curl didn’t hold. The lady then proceed to curl my hair with a flat iron. The curl still didn’t hold. I told her not to worry about it. I notice my hair smelled burnt. At first I thought it was just the product in my hair. That’s not the case. After washing my hair, it still smells burnt. I imagine I’ll have cut a few inches off if not more.The package was also supposed to include lunch.. which I never got.Highly recommend for facial and massage. All staff were professional and friendly,

I have always liked going here. So I called to set an appointment a week ahead and requested a hair stylist that charged $35 and who knew how to do a particular haircut.I met stylist and told her what I wanted, several times. Had to tell her it wasn’t correct, she tried again, not good. Went to check out and told me it would be $45! Explained that this was not what I requested and not happy with haircut. They decided to give me a complimentary “do-over” but I STILL had to pay $45!!! As I walked out, one employee said “sorry about that”!!! I turned around, gave a look and walked out! I sat in my car for 15 min trying to hold back tears I was so mad!Will see what they can do with a “do-over”!!!

I took the day off of work today to enjoy a long weekend set to begin with an hour long hot stone massage. Upon entering the massage room, my masseuse began asking questions about my reason for visiting and what areas I wanted her to focus, etc... during the questionnaire we began overhearing the session going on next door. This was my first visit to the spa and I was unaware that only a louvered door would separate me from the next session. Though the masseuse knew that my reason for visiting was to relax, I was never offered to move to another room (who knows maybe there wasn’t another available... but I feel as though something could have been done prior to starting). During my ENTIRE hour long massage I overheard the female customer next door (also there for her 60 minute session) discussing all of her life issues. My meant-to-be relaxing massage was not the spa experience that I had envisioned at all. Upon completion of my massage, my masseuse was aware that I was disturbed the entire time and that I enjoyed the actual massage but not the environment. I let her know that I am not one to complain and she said she would talk to the front desk and let them know for me. I got to the front desk where they asked how my experience was (was told it was not great) and continued to charge me full price for my massage with no compensation or sympathy at all. I would not recommend this place because I had a terrible experience and probably won’t go back because of it. I could get a massage anywhere but expected the spa treatment, will probably never go back.

The masseuse was amazing. I think her name was Heather. I was a little turned off afterwards though. she mentioned she left travel size lotions at the front desk when I check out that she uses on my during my massage. I thought, oh wow that’s nice to be able to take them and try before you buy a full product. When I was checking out the agent brought the lotions to me and said if I wanted these they were here for me. I said oh yeah I’ll take them both thank you. She then said I’ll ring them up. I thought ring them up? But then thought ok maybe they are $5 each (again travel size 1.4oz) when I signed my bill they were $10 each. I was very relaxed at this point and almost wasn’t really aware of what was happening. I went to the car and looked at the lotions and read the ingredients. I don’t use parfum/fragrance (this was in both lotions) if I have a choice, so I went back in and returned them.Overal my experience was good, the massage was amazing but the check out experience could use some work. I almost felt a little taken advantage of.

I’ve been a customer of Spa Mizan since their location on Johnston street. They treat their customers with outstanding service. The stylists are incredibly knowledgeable in their field and I have the utmost confidence in their decisions, especially when it comes to hair colors and textures. I am also in awe of their complete honesty when it comes to choosing the right look for me especially when I may have chosen a color that is too crazy for my hair. My stylist will explain every process, and why something may be right or not right for my hair. She is always able to answer my questions and help with any concerns I may have. I have complete faith in this salon that I am too the point where I let my stylist choose colors for me! She is amazing and if I could, I would give her the moon! Great salon! Great atmosphere! Well worth the money in my opinion!

I was taken care of by Mr. Nate. He was absolutely phenomenal! I did a full body therapeutic massage. He inquired about my job and the strains and stresses it puts on my body. He understood and made my upper back, neck, and shoulders a priority. Which I could notice the difference when I sat up. I feel looser, tension free, and super relaxed. I sat in the parking lot for quite some time before I left just soaking it all in. It was my first time there and booked another before I left. I also purchased a gift card for my twin sister to enjoy the amazing experience I did here today. Nate the Great indeed! I highly recommend!

Today was my 1st visit since reopening. Things are different, but still the same. The same professionalism, friendliness, and environment as before. Social distancing and masks were both in place. Bu the way, I hate the masks because I cannot see the happy faces, but I understand. It was wonderful to see everyone! Im so happy that they are open for business!

My hair was Completely OUT OF CONTROL, I had Covid and it literally knocked me on my rear for 20 days straight!! I NEVER thought I would be able to stand up much less survive this nasty disease and I followed ever rule to a T. I stayed at home, only got out to pick up prescriptions at a drive through pharmacy or to go to my Doctor and most of those were telemedicine appointments. So when my husband who is a teacher tested positive I called my own Doctor at 2pm one day just to check even though I had zero symptoms at that time, but my husband had tested positive so I called my primary care doctor to get tested so that I would know my results and not spread this terrible virus. The medical assistant set me up with a telemedicine visit at 3:30p.m that same day...Well by 3pm I had spiked a fever of 103.7 and I was really struggling to breathe ( now I have NEVER smoked a day in my entire life or have done those vapes and all other harmful stuff either, my pre-existing condition was when I was 28 I had renal cell cancer and had to have a radical nephrectomy and my adrenal gland also removed and ended up getting pneumonia because it is so hard to take deep breathes. I ended up having to stay in the hospital for 7 weeks. I prayed I would never feel that bad ever again but this bout of Covid was extremely close to the way I felt when I had cancer. I tried and really and really struggled to even get out of the bed to walk not even 10 feet to the restroom so after 20 days of madded/ tangled hair to the point that I couldn’t even get my finger through my hair and I have extremely thick and heavy curly hair, Which I am in no way complaining about that. I am so blessed to have thick, and naturally curly hair but when I took it out of my pony tail it was so madded & tangled that it actually stayed in a pony tail without a hair tie so then I thought I’m going to get in the shower and try my luck detangling it with TONS aid conditioner and a de-tangler! WELL... it took about two straight hours strictly concentrating on getting my tangled mess of hair somewhat manageable. After two hours I called to see if a professional would have better luck and OMGOODNESS she worked miracles!!!!! I absolutely LOVE what she did to my hair and I feel 10 pounds lighter. She had to cut about 10 inches off and layered my hair around the front to frame my face. I can not remember her name but thank goodness they keep all your information in their computer so I can request the same person next visit. I can not recommend this lady enough. She is a miracle worker!!!! Now if I can just get my hair to do exactly what she did when she fixed & styled my hair to get it to look the same!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼#LotsOfLuck #ImNotaMiracleWorkerLikeSheIs
