My aunt received excellent care at Maison de Lafayette. There were many activities that she could participate in. The facility is very clean and the staff is caring and conscientious. I highly recommend this place for your loved ones.

After many months of being at Maison de Lafayette my Grand Mother is still very happy with her care. When I and other family members visit we have noticed how much happier she is at MDL then in previous facilities. She is receiving excellent care. The staff are very friendly to her and to us when we visit. They have handled COVID exceptionally well.

Unbelievably expensive ($6600 per month) w soup kitchen like food (I.e. fried chicken equals one tiny thigh and shrimp poboy equals 4-5 little shrimp on a hot dog bun). Overwhelmed short staff does their best, but because they are short staffed their simply isnt enough care and they are sometimes irritable! The owner of this place should ashamed of himself for placing profits above people who are dependent in all needs!

I absolutely love my job. I haven’t had any problems with anyone here. I pride myself on being effective and efficient when it comes to being an asset to the facility as well as to my employees. No place is perfect. However, it’s a collaborative effort. We all have a duty to take care of our responsibilities and fulfill our duties. When this is done, there are no issues. It’s a good place to work; management is very understanding. I don’t have anything negative to say.

This place is horrible. You see so many red apron from staffing agency because they using staffing company to fill shifts. The CNAs dont stay because the administration dont know how to talk to people. This is a red flag that this place cant keep their staff. True not fake.Sincerely,unknown

Recently tried to place my mother here. We were denied with no explanation. She is not physically handicapped, Just has some minor mental issues that are treated with meds. After doing a little more homework we later found out about several issues concerning a very incompetent administration that runs the facility. Major disappointment for such a nice appearance facility.

No nursing home can possibly provide everything perfectly for every person they serve. However, this facility exceeded our expectations in the care of our mother. The facilities are very nice, it is clean and neat, the food is special, the staff is friendly, and the administrative services are excellent.

I have been working at Maison for 3 years and had never been online to see the reviews. A fellow employee came to me in shock over the things that were being said on the internet about our employer. Our boss is one of the most successful and knowledgeable business men in the state of Louisiana. He is very stern and does have high expectations of his employees. Anyone that is a hard working, team playing employee could understand and respect his way of thinking. The residents and their care are his main priority and you can see evidence of this in every decision made. I have had 2 of my own loved ones admit here long term and have not once regret the decision. Best nursing home in Lafayette, best place to work in Lafayette.

If youre considering placing a loved one here please consider other alternatives. We placed my great grandmother here while she was alive and felt she was being treated well for the most part, we had a few issues with employees laughing at her being in pain and one CNA who took the best care of her, even came to see her in hospice was fired for speaking up. Fast forward to maybe a year later I had done clinicals here and I witnessed some of the worst care and treatment to strangers loved ones, it broke my heart to pieces. I didnt think Id make it through the week. Very few CNAs have respect for the residents. I witnessed a lot of personal conversations between coworkers (there was so much workplace drama between employees), phone calls, facebooking, or hiding to eat in residents rooms. They do not explain processes to residents and toss them around like rag dolls to get a job done quickly instead of taking their time with them. So much mistreatment behind these walls. One example, we placed a resident in her shower and the CNA was burning her with the water, she was shouting in such pain but the CNA was saying the water wouldve been too cold (elderly skin is so thin what may be warm to us can be scolding to them). While there I heard so many horror stories about the owner and how he mistreated employees. This experience was a nightmare for me but Im so grateful I was able to get the experience and know where NOT to place my loved ones. So please do your loved one a favor and look elsewhere.

I dont hate this place but the boss in the kitchen talk to u like a child but when u have something to say about how things or being ran in there she lets u go like thats the only place of business KMSL but other then that I love the place thanks lil Joe for allowing me to work there ......

Huge staff turnover. Theft from elderly residents. Neglect. Bare minimum. Horrible food loaded with sodium.

My Grandmother is currently at Maison de Lafayette for Rehab and I couldnt be more pleased with the care she is receiving. All the staff and I emphasize ALL has been so pleasant to my entire family. The therapy department is remarkable and the food is excellent. The Social Workers made this process so easy from start to finish and continues to be helpful. The administrator and the owner made a point to introduce themselves to many of my family members. The facility is so beautiful and inviting. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for Rehab for their love one as well as long term.Thank you Maison de LafayetteL. Thibodaux

I am a current Cna here at masion . This is the absolute worst possible nursing home . Looks lovely and inviting on the outside but when you actually get in on the inside its awful. Cna are treated with the oit most disrespect by administration. The owner will cuss you out any where any time around anyone. And the A.D.O.N needs to be gotten rid of. I ev work there 5 months watched 6 Cnas quit and 2 Lpns quit. The pay is awful . As far as care IF YOU LOVE YOUR RELATIVES DO NOT PUT THEM IN THIS FACILITY. THEY WILL NOT BE CARED FOR. Becuase the administration worries about the pointless things your Cna have bo time to properly care for your peoplr
