Im not getting care for anything serious here, so that might impact how I much I need responsive communication. They do far more than addiction treatment; they provide comprehensive care for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and whatever else. They do tend to not return calls and just send the prescription to the pharmacy. For my needs, though, that is perfectly fine and they do a great job.

Since the management change to sycamore springs they are horrible. If they change your meds good luck getting in to see your doctor, instead they tell you sorry call 911. Wish they were as good as they were before years ago. Better off going to Indy for your anxiety/depression needs.

The psychiatrists and other medical professionals are great, but that does not make up for the lack of professionalism the clinic suffers from. When needing simple tasks, such as medical prescription refills, the staff often waits days or weeks before sending the refill prescription to your pharmacy. If my psychiatrist went to a different clinic, I would gladly jump ship with them and let this garbage fire of a clinic sink to the bottom of the sea.

The receptionists talk to you as if youre not a person calling to gain access to life-saving treatment and meds, asking simple questions. They are rude, snappy, and condescending, almost always. They do NOT know how to talk to patients.The appointments are expensive, they say the price varies with how in-depth your appointments are but Im paying $100+ per 15 minute appointment which consists of how are you doing great, meds are working great, well keep you on your meds. So, heaven forbid I actually manage to ask any questions that require more expertise in that time frame cause who knows how much that would cost. Dont go here. Youll wait and wait to be seen, only to have an expensive, rushed experience. The receptionists will talk down to you while youre audibly struggling to keep it together. Ive never been made to feel as bad by mental health providers as these people have made me feel. They are not gender-expansive friendly, either. Their forms are trans-exclusive. They dont use my pronouns. I wish I could give negative stars.Forgot to add: It took me YEARS to get an appointment here because their intake person never returned my calls. I happened to drive past them one day and stopped in. Thats how I got my first appointment. By walking into their office.

I would probably give a higher rating if I could even get somebody to answer my voicemails or call me back. I’ve left four voicemails this week alone trying to get an appointment with a Denise Arnett, who I haven’t been able to contact. Thank god I’m not currently suicidal, or I would’ve probably offed myself by now just trying to get someone to answer the damn phone. It’s a shame I’ll probably have to go out of town to actually receive psychiatric care in a timely manner. Lafayette needs to do better.

I have been seeing Dr. Nizar El-Khalili since the winter of 2015. He is kind, helpful, and he listens to me. He has helped me with my mental health journey and I wouldnt be in the good place I am now without him.I am seeing a lot of one star reviews though. Im not sure why exactly. Yes, there are some prickly people there, but Ive never been to a doctors office where I like EVERYONE I meet there. Yes, some times its hard to get questions answered but Ive never gone more than a few days without a call back. Billing can be a pain but they can work with you.Ive been going 5+ years here and for me its always been fine. Just think, they are people too. They have good days and bad days just like everyone else.And I make an hour and a half drive just to see Dr. E. Hes worth it to me.

Ive been going for a couple years now and they are absolutely useless. I have been misdiagnosed ignored and even had my therapist retire and then they didnt replace her for 8 months! I told my therapist and psychologist that I had split personalities vivid hallucinations both auditory and visual and they said oh its just stress try to relax more maybe try online dating

Wish I could give 0 stars. I loved my psychiatrist, Dr. Clyde, but the receptionists never pick up phone calls and I have had an ongoing issue with the billing lady named PAT SHIVELY 🤬. She is very rude and disrespectful. She doesn’t listen to my concerns or even what I’m asking. I’ve had to speak with her multiple times and every single time, she was rude and sounded like she hated her job. They never tell you if you are being charged for a service until they mail you the bill. I have even asked if I was going to be charged and they replied with no yet I still was billed and since I have no proof of the conversation , I have to pay.

I had an appointment with Miss Singh. I was 11 minutes late and she wouldnt see me for a mes evaluation. They wont let you switch doctors for some reason, so I had to reschedule an appointment with Miss Singh. Her earliest appointment is a month from now. Very unprofessional, irregularities in they policies, and a waist of time. Dont go here if you need help. You will just leave aggravated and in worse condition then when you arrived.

I would always rate it a 5 over the last 25 years. But being assigned to an extremely younger NURSE PRACTITIONER, whom Im supposed to call Dr. IS NOT happening, especially when Dr. El-Khalili and Dr. Buonanno have been the only 2 Ive seen. I called in prior and explained the entire story, and was scheduled with an actual M.D But I did not get the Dr. I got Clyde again. He thinks we got off on the wrong foot. I will be writing Dr. Nizar ElKhalili, as i am positive he is not aware of the unprofessional conduct taking place in his office and I will not stand for any nurse that declares himself smarter than Dr. Aldo Buonanno and Dr Nizar El-Khalili., based on the fact that he is smarter and younger.

Had a bad experience with one of the therapists. They are often running 15-25 minutes behind schedule. My first psychiatrist quit without notice and they transferred me to a new one who wrongfully diagnosed me with a disorder I do not have. When I asked to be switched psychiatrists they kept using that WRONG diagnosis to keep from switching me. They also told me to go inpatient because of how “worked up” I was about being given the wrong diagnosis and wanting to switch psychiatrists. 10/10 would never recommend. They increased my anxiety and added yet another trauma to the long list of things I am trying to work through and get help with.

HORRIBLE PLACE EVER!!!! DO NOT COME HERE! They can’t keep their appointments in check. Wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here at all.

Im highly impressed at the intelligence, thoughtfulness, and poignancy of El Khalili. Very helpful, kind, and supportive. Not afraid to challenge me with my own opinions when necessary.

Go anywhere else but here. The front desk person is great Trying to get a script refilled or a question answered, IS ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. I have been waiting over a week to get a script refilled. Then they send it in and it’s wrong. I’ve asked to be called to talk to someone about the delay. I ran out of pills 4 days ago. Mind you, that they say they’ll get back with you in 48 hours. Baloney!! I called a week ago. They have the most lousy customer service I have ever experienced anywhere.

If they actually cared about their patients, they would follow up on these 1 star reviews. but they dont. i wasted 3 months here trying to get someone to finally take me serious about a diagnosis. they ignored me as i told them i was struggling but had no problem charging for their services and wasting my time. appointments are insanely spread out too. dont come here, no one will take u seriously or care about you.

Stay away from Alpine Clinic!!! After meeting for several appointment in summer 2018, I unexpectedly received a bill where they charged me for a therapy appointment I never scheduled (mind you Ive since moved out-of-state with the aforementioned service date). I also asked about additional fees that my health insurance would charge after their deductible, 11 months later Im told insurance didnt cover a significant portion of my service fee. The office manager didnt even have the decency to even offer an apology for this evident mix-up and error on their end! If I could give zero stars, I would. The only thing Im grateful for is I now have much better health insurance (a blessing) and have choices to stay away from this incompetent, rude, and careless mental health agency.

They told me 3 weeks ago they would call me in 2 business days to schedule an appointment, but never called back. I have called several times a week since and have left several voicemails and cannot get in. They straight up lied to me and Mental Health America on the phone 3 weeks ago saying theyd call me back to make the appointment!! they never did and now wont call and giving the run around.

Hello Ive been coming here for over a decade and Ive always been helped and never had any issues. so maybe these bad ratings are patients maybe not getting their way . its a process if you stop and get mad because your not getting what you ask for then its on you not the Alpine Clinic

Truly wishing I could give them no stars but it wouldn’t let me :(, service is absolutely terrible, the receptionist is extremely rude and for someone working in the mental health field, you would want to provide a welcoming experience. The place was trashed, dirty and stains on the floor. The suggestion and comments box was hung crooked which truly shows their opinion of our opinions. It was freezing and to top it all off when we made an appointment, they made me fill out my own appointment card like WHAT!! Absolutely ridiculous and the only reason we are still going there is because of dr. Singh. I hope this gets the company’s attention on how their business is running.

DO NOT GO HERE. I have been a patient here for several years. My doctor randomly and suddenly retired, and I get a letter in the mail saying I will be re-assigned to another doctor in the practice. No follow up from the office, nothing. I call today to inquire about my next appointment and they say that I cant use my insurance (the same insurance I have had for multiple years) for the other doctors and that I will have to find somewhere else to go. No help, no referral. I told them that I thought it was irresponsible not to follow up with the patients, some of whom might be in crisis, and the only response I got was that it is literally impossible to call up all of the doctors patients. I never really had a great experience here but kept going out of habit, but I will now advise anyone who will listen to go anywhere else.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The receptionist and Denise are VERY rude, very judgmental, and very unwelcoming. For a mental health clinic, they should have better attitudes and shouldnt be such condescending, judgmental people when setting up appointments or just discussing services. I know the testing I need will cost over $1,000 and I have decided to pay out of pocket elsewhere than go here. I could not imagine going in there with depression, suicide, or any other actual mental illness. If you truly have a mental illness, please, for your own sake, search elsewhere. I know Lafayette does not have too many options, but any place is better than this place. Note to the workers: If you hate your job, quit. Dont make some elses life miserable because you hate your job. At least pretend to care. People are coming to see you because this is their only option. Take your job seriously, peoples lives are in YOUR hands. Just... horrible!!!

Staff has never been rude to me. They have always been polite. As well as the doctor I see there.alpine clinic has really helped me out been going tthere 5 yrs

I was the last patient to leave around a year ago and the reception area didnt realize that I was at the reception window waiting. A few of the receptionist were making fun of the patients as if everyone that went there as a patient was a drug seeker. I cant even get through to the billing department to pay my bill without going to voicemail. Alpine is one of the few places in Lafayette that is a ppo for my insurance so I try to overlook the flaws and I keep going. My doctor seems to do his job well but the rest of the staff is very unprofessional and degrading to the people that are going there for help and not drugs.

STAY AWAY! Their computer glitched so they skipped us over. They were already 95 minutes overdue when they realized this and had the nerve to ask us to wait another 30 minutes. They made no effort to make it right and we ended up having to leave without ever being seen.

Do NOT go here. The 1 star reviews are correct. My doctor left with one weeks notice, i had no notice whatssoever. No certified mail.no phone call.Nurse Practioner cancelled all 3 appointments when scheduled within 6 month time frame because of meetings. Manager wont get back with you for complaints. They expect you to accomodate their schedule. I have nowhere to go now for being rude.

I called this office to help someone out. Immediately hung up just by the way she answered the phone. Anyone calling this place wanting help will automatically feel like a burden and that is just sad. Also I looked at all the other comments on here and SERIOUSLY?! I been so angry at this place. I haven’t been in awhile because of money. I needed medicine refilled ( the same medicine I have been on) they delicined it. I been tried to them and find out why. The respetionist on the phone is rude. She tells me she doesn’t have access to the doctors voice mail? How do you not? They used to.. I used to be able to call and leave a message for my doctor and they would call back, now I can’t. Some most working through out the day and only call on their breaks. Then they don’t call back right away when you need something!!

My longtime doctor gave only a weeks notice of retirement and the office did not notify me of this; I had to find out through Facebook. I called and left a message for the office manger because I was out of meds and discovered they had switched my care to another doctor without my permission, violating HIPPA. After three weeks, the office manger called me back and talked down to me, really unapologetically about the whole situation and told me that I would have to pay for another office visit with a doctor I didnt agree to in order to get my medication. When I politely balked at the bumbling management of this whole situation, she claimed I was yelling at her when I was speaking sternly about my dissatisfaction with the whole situation. She then told me that she wouldnt talk with me and have a petty conversation, to which I asked that my medical files be made aavailableto me so I could find another provider at a different clinic. She kept interrupting me and telling me to stop yelling and then hung up on me. The MOST unprofessional attitude Ive encountered in a medical office in my entire life -- and this is a mental health clinic!

I have called 6 times in the last two days. The first time was a messed up phone system that transferred me to the hospital line. Next time I called they said the receptionists are at lunch until 1:15 I called three times and was transferred to a voicemail. I called today at 8a and was told to call after 9:15, left yet another voicemail and no returned call. So really 7 times just to get an appointment. Terrible service

I was referred here and nobody called me to make an appointment or anything. I’m guessing that talking the referral there physically won’t do anything either. Guess I’ll just be bipolar then.

I dont know if this is the same place as the mental health part but if not Im leaving this here. Maybe someone can fix this issue.I am a new patient and I have been trying to schedule an appointment for over a week and still dont have one. I called 3 seperate days to try and make appointment 10/16, 10/17, 10/18. I called like this because the voicemail said that they would get in touch with a new patient within 24hrs. It was literally a week since the first message that I get a call back 10/23 and I missed the call because I work. Called them back thinking I would get a direct line, since the lady left her name and a number like it was a direct line, and it wasnt. I had to start the process all over again so I called back Monday didnt receive an appointment callback yesterday like 24hr statement said call again today and still going to the voicemail. It seems like this clinic cares little about mental health patients because of they did then the call back would be during the time stated. Im already stressed, anxious, and mildly depressed and they are just exacerbating the issue. Im fully insured and nearly beginning for help and the have dropped the ball. You cant even walk in and schedule an appointment so i may not ever get any help. Thank god im not suicidal nor homicidal because by now i may not be here or others. Avoid this place because they seem yo not want to help. The initial person that answered the phone even acted as if she was frustrated when I told her I have been trying for more then a week and can I come in to schedule an appointment. Very unprofessional.

Absolutely stupid policy. Was called on a Tuesday about an open appointment and it was for the next day. But I had a medical emergency and was unable to come to the appointment. Called that morning to talk to someone well no one called me back. Charged me 40 bucks for not calling 24 hours before the appointment??? Absolutely ridiculous place. Will be going somewhere else for help with anxiety. This place sucks!

Dr Singh is a good doctor. However, the receptionist are horrible!! Extremely rude, not willing to help and seem miserable. They are horrible at scheduling appointments by phone with accuracy and still rude. Youd think theyd get some friendly receptionists considering its a psychiatrist office, most people walking through the doors are not there because theyre happy and having to deal with the horrible b***hes at the desk DOES NOT HELP. Because of them I will not return and I will not recommend anyone to that clinic. I do not need the added stress of having to deal with that kind of treatment in a professional office. The only reason I rated 2 stars is because the doctor is ok.

Dr Singh and Lisa Cree are amazing which is the only reason I gave them two stars.. However, the receptionist are horrible! Extremely rude, not willing to help and seem miserable. I have always been able to call and set up appointments for my husband, son and my husband the same for me when we are too busy at work to get it handled. Now all of a sudden that is not allowed, we got charged $40 because they would not let me cancel his appointment due to work obligations for him and reschedule. They have stopped the reminder calls as well. For a facility is supposed to be there to help people you would think that they would have more personal able staff in the receptionist desk. I hate us to go elsewhere, but we just might.

I think Alpine is amazing!! Dr. Singh is wonderful.

The absolute rudest receptionist on earth. I called today to request a meeting with my doctor and she did not listen to anything I said, proceeded to ask me how often I was taking my medications and then finished with well, why do you need to see your doctor then? Im sorry, I just need an appointment with my doctor, and not medical advice from the receptionist. Every time I go in there I dread talking to the front desk, which is totally ironic that their team would have such a rude front desk staff knowing how fragile some of their patients can be.

Was told on multiple occasions by an unpleasant receptionist that I could not schedule an appointment as a new patient until I had my new health insurance card, but was then charged $40 for missing an appointment. I would rather travel to Indianapolis than deal with these people.
