After doing research for months, I decided to move forward with Aurora LASIK for my LASIK procedure. I was able to quickly schedule a consultation and when they arrived, I felt so at ease and welcomed. Just got LASIK yesterday & I am so thankful I did! The staff here and Dr. Rudd or so amazing. Honestly. I have extreme anxiety and wasn’t sure I could do this. They remained calm and reassuring. You are awake the whole time but your eyeballs are numb so you can’t feel a thing. In fact you can’t even tell that your eyeballs are numb lol. It’s honestly one of the weirdest experiences but doesn’t hurt at all. After, just be sure to sleep & be sure to use the drops. Just wanted to share my most recent experience with Aurora Lasik. I had Lasik surgery done last Thursday and I must say it was the best choice Ive made. I was nervous at first but walking into Dr Rudd’s office was a great idea. They go above and beyond what is usually expected, making you feel comfortable and confident about choosing him to do the surgery. Who wouldve ever thought after all these years of wearing glasses would come to an end. Not only did he do a great job but also gave me 20/15 Vision which is better than 20/20. Everyone I interacted with was extremely nice! They all seemed like they truly enjoyed their job and genuinely wanted to help. If I had to rate every person that helped me I would give them each 5/5.I had some issues with getting my prescription eye drops at my pharmacy and they helped me find them elsewhere for cheaper and even sent me a coupon!I was a little nervous about spending so much on my eyes and the fact that it was surgery on my eyes but it was 100% worth it! Dr. Rudd and his team are excellent at what they do and they make you feel comfortable and at ease!

If youve been thinking about getting Lasik for years, and if you are a little uncomfortable with the idea as I was; please go see Dr. Rudd and his staff at Aurora Lasik. From my first appointment consult to the surgery, it was an excellent experience. I was comfortable during the entire surgery (all of 7 minutes) and after my eyes were a little sandy feeling which is normal... I took a 2 hour nap like they recommended. After I woke up, I could see!! And my lab puppy even chewed up my eye drops a few days after surgery, Dr. Rudd was available to help me get new drops. They are the best!! Thanks again!

I got PRK surgery last Thursday and it’s currently Tuesday. I was a bit worried because they told me the third day is always the worst. In my opinion, it was just annoying. I was able to function just fine and move about but my light sensitivity was fairly high. I still haven’t felt any pain, only sensitivity and since they’ve removed the eye contact bandages, a little more annoying as my eyes become accustomed to new surface. But my eyesight… holy moly! The trees seem prettier, driving around seems a little easier. I got some cheap yellow construction glasses from Walmart to combat the blue light and it works just fine. The people here were very caring and explained the procedure to me exactly. They’ve checked up on me throughout recovery and my eyesight is getting better daily. If you have the opportunity to get clearer vision, I highly suggest Aurora Lasik. In and out in less then an hour with very few side effects.

My name is Joel Ross and received RLE surgery approximately two weeks ago.. From my first call, exam and consultation I felt the staff at Aurora was top shelf. No pressure, just answers and straight forward treatment. As for the results, way beyond my highest expectations! Its like a whole new world for me. I can see up close ( better than could before for sure) and now for the first time, I can see better than 20/20. Its so amazing that its surreal. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff. I had pretty high expectations from the moment I made my first appointment, and the entire experience went above and beyond. I had always hoped that someday I could improve my vision to some degree, but had never dreamed of entirely losing my glasses. I had the best experience from the start. Even during the covid stuff. They talked through everything during the whole surgery. I was given a squeeze ball and that just wasn’t cutting it, so I asked for a nurses hand and she was right there. They say the surgery is 14 minutes? But I would say it’s 14 minutes from the time you walk through the surgery doors to the time you walk out. The whole team is soo kind and friendly. I would highly recommend this place for lasik!! They were amazing!

Lasik is something that was 100% worth the cost and I have 0 regrets. I was a little worried at first (and who wouldnt be, going into an eye surgery?!), but being able to wake up and see is amazing. No more dealing with contacts or glasses!

I went to a consultation at another place that wasnt a good fit and it seemed like they were just pushing patients out the door. I wanted a second opinion and couldnt be happier to have found Aurora Lasik. They are extremely welcoming and personable making your patient experience incredible from start to end, following their motto to a T. There is little to no wait time ever, the doctor is always ready for you, always happy to see you, and guides you through the process informing you of each step along the way and making you feel the utmost comfortable. You get what you pay for. Dr. Rudds team is incredibly professional. I only had one eye done for PRK here after Dr. Rudds suggestion (yes, not all surgeons think more surgery is better!!) and I couldnt be more happy with the results! Still waiting for my eye to fully heal but they answered my questions, told me to reach out if anything felt amiss, and they even sent me a thank you card for choosing them as a provider! No provider, procedure, or clinic is perfect, but Aurora Lasik came closer than most!!

Aurora Lasik is fantastic. The whole process of pre-procedure appointments, procedure and post appointments were fast, easy and so friendly. I was really nervous for the procedure itself and the staff was cognizant of my fear and were supportive the whole way through. The procedure itself was so quick and absolutely painless. It was a little cloudy but I could see so much better right after! This is 100% worth it and I am so glad I chose Aurora Lasik to do the procedure!!

I have had some ups and downs with Aurora Lasik. My surgery went well and I am very pleased with the outcome, but there have been some clerical and payment issues that are incredibly frustrating. There is an option of 2-year interest free financing to cover the cost of the procedure. I asked multiple times if I could use my HSA to pay using this option and was told many time by Aurora repeatedly that I could. Immediately I had issues with the lender that Aurora uses (Commenity Alphaeon Credit) saying they do not accept HSA accounts as a payment option. On their website you can only use a checking account to pay. I worked with Aurora and Commentiy to find a way for my HSA to mail check payments for my procedure. This worked for the first couple payments, but as of two months ago the payments stopped going through and I am getting no response as to why that is. I am at the point where I am no longer going to be using my HSA to make the payments. I would have possibly not gotten the surgery if I would have known the HSA would not work. I also had issues with getting my records sent to Aurora from my eye doctor. I had to make about five calls over the course of a month to get my records transferred and received. I was also not told right away that I would not be able to wear my contacts for long periods of time prior to the surgery, which was really difficult since my glasses were not the most recent prescription. I could not drive at night during this time and had difficulty working on the computer during the day. I understand why this is, but more information up front would have been helpful when dealing with this. Many frustrating experiences and the financial side has been a nightmare, but again the surgery was successful and I am happy with that outcome at least.

I have always been a weenie with any procedure being done to my eyes, teeth, and face in general. The staff really put me at ease and were just plain incredible. Dr. Rudd was also very caring and awesome. They made my lasik experience perfect! I could see instantly after the procedure, although a little hazy. However, the very next day i could see perfectly. 20/15 perfectly to be exact! I loved my lasik experience and the only regret I have is that I didnt do it sooner. I had LASIK surgery exactly one month ago today at Aurora LASIK by Dr. Rudd. Now, my review is a little unique since I also work for Aurora LASIK. However, I now am able to fully understand how incredible this experience is first hand and speak to the amazing results I now have as a patient.I have had glasses and contacts since I was 4 years old. Thats 29 years of my life paid to wearing these crutches. For all you who wear glasses and contacts you fully understand what an inconvenience they can be so I dont need to elaborate further. It has been over 2 years since my RLE procedure at Aurora. When I had my procedure I worked at Aurora, since then I have moved on to a different office but Aurora will always be the place that I had life changing surgery. Dr. Rudd called me to talk about my experience and to talk about options going forward. I scheduled an appointment and they are working with me to improve my far sighted issue. This team truly cares and wants everyone who comes to see them smile and be satisfied they got the best care. They are amazing professionals and people. What a great team!!I would love to give Aurora Lasik five stars but just cant. Everyone there is beyond nice and professional. I really felt taken care of during my procedure. I do feel like they left some information out and want to make sure someone else doesnt feel the same. I had Lasik around 2014 when they were at Clarus. It was amazing and easy. Fast forward to 2020 and my eyesight was starting to decline. I made an appointment with now Aurora and they told me a small percentage of people have their eyesight regress. They could now perform PRK and I would be right as rain again. What they didnt mention was that due to my age, I am 43, I could be trading seeing far away for seeing close up. EVERYTHING I do is close up. My job is reading all day and looking at a computer. Had they explained that to me I may not have had PRK. I would have gotten glasses to drive. That would have been the only time I would really need them. They really made it sound like nothing but my vision far away would get better. They did give me a discount because I had gotten it from them when they were Clarus but I still spend $2500 to not be able to read without reading glasses. I am posting this so someone else will ask these questions and not feel taken advantage of. This is a lot of money for me!!! I work really hard and have a family. I dont just have this kind of money sitting around. I hope this helps someone make a truly informed decision before spending this kind of money.

I had the best experience at Aurora LASIK. Everyone there was so friendly, and very detailed when giving me all the information I needed to make the best decision for myself. Dr Rudd was very kind and friendly, and the surgery went smoothly.I was very touched by the personalization I received. I had mentioned that when I had Lasik previously (16 years ago), they had given me a giant sized Hershey bar at my post op follow up visit. Low and behold, on the day of my surgery at Aurora, they gave me a giant sized Hershey bar! It was so sweet that they remembered I had mentioned that and went out of their way to recreate a special memory I had. It was all around a great experience.

Best thing is their staff have all had Lasik done so there were zero surprises in the procedure everything was exactly as they said it would be. I had my lenses replaced in my eyes. I had such a positive experience. The staff are friendly, caring, and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Rudd. I did my research and heard from others, not only about how he was an excellent eye surgeon but what a good person he is. I felt confident and fortunate to have him perform my surgery. It’s amazing to see without glasses or contact lenses. It’s a miracle!

It’s been about 7 weeks since my lasik surgery and my eyes are WONDERFUL (seeing 20/20)! I had a bad astigmatism, contacts irritated my eyes, and I hated wearing glasses. I thought about lasik for years but was too nervous/scared. The consultation was free, the staff extremely friendly & knowledgeable, and surgery was not as scary as I had imagined. The surgery was QUICK and PAINLESS - a few minutes per eye, they numb so you don’t feel any pain, and give meds for anxiety (I went from a nervous-wreck to can’t-stop-giggling before surgery!). My eyes feel great and are healing perfectly. So many reviews say “I wish I had done it sooner” and IT’S TRUE!! So glad I finally did this, what a game changer!!!

After my consultation, I was 100% sure I would go ahead with my procedure at Aurora LASIK. I love the honesty of the staff, though I did not qualify for lasik, I did quality for PRK. The staff answered all my questions and made me feel very ready for procedure day. The procedure went smoothly, and the staff gave me realistic recovery expectations. I am now almost a week post procedure, and am so extremely happy. My only regret is that I should have done this ten years ago! I would recommend Aurora LASIK to anyone and everyone who will listen. They are there for you from the beginning starting with consultation to post procedure, and I couldn’t be any happier with my whole experience with Aurora LASIK!

I had PRK on both eyes two years ago and received excellent care through the entire process. The staff was always welcoming and warm. There minimal wait times, especially compared to other vision offices. All of my questions and concerns were addressed in depth. The doctor truly seems to enjoy his work and takes great pride in it. The equipment is always cutting edge and they are all very knowledgeable about the procedures. The procedure itself went well and was stress free for me and my family. We were given great after care instructions and follow up visits. I would highly recommend Dr Rudd and Aurora.

The entire team at Aurora LASIK was amazing from the consultation all the way to the post op appointments. They made sure all my questions were answered in my pre op appointment, I never felt rushed or like I was inconveniencing them with my questions. My operation went great. I had a hard time holding my legs still and the doctor and staff were so nice about it. Rather then get frustrated Dr. Rudd had a nurse gently hold my legs and was so nice about it despite the fact I’m sure it was frustrating to have my legs bobbling my head around while he was trying to finish my procedure. I would recommend this place to anyone looking at Lasiks it literally is one of the best decisions I ever made for my self. Thank you Aurora Lasiks and here’s to choosing whatever sunglasses I want and no more money wasted on glasses!!!

The office is super nice and high tech. The staff is all very attentive and friendly. Dr Rudd is so warm and welcoming and made me feel so comfortable. They answered every question and addressed every concern I had. The payment plan options were simple and quick and I was able to pay it off early with no penalty. The actual procedure was quick and painless. I went from 20/60 and 20/70 to 20/15 in both eyes by the next morning! I had trouble going to the clarus for my follow-up and they made it possible for me to see Dr Rudd instead. I have sent several friends to him! I couldnt possibly give a higher recommendation!

Even though I only had glasses for about 6 months, I was ready to get rid of them! My vision had been awful for probably 5 years prior to glasses. Dr. Rudd has changed my life! I cannot express enough how incredible my experience has been with Aurora Lasik. Everyone Ive interacted with has been so kind and knowledgeable, I have felt genuinely cared for, and the procedure itself was both less expensive and less painful that I had anticipated. In fact, the entire thing was practically painless. The day of surgery, I was only at the office for about 30 minutes. Ive had stubbed toes that have caused me more discomfort. I had very mild irritation for the following couple hours, which I was able to sleep through, and I woke up with perfect vision and zero pain. Dr. Rudd called me that evening to check on my recovery and answer any follow up questions. I had a follow up appointment the next morning, and just 19 hours after the surgery I have 20/15 vision. Its the best I have ever seen in my life; better than I was able to see with contacts or glasses. Its life-changing, and I wouldnt go anywhere else.
