OVER 2 HOUR WAIT & POOR COMMUNICATION/CUST SVC.Brought my father to his 1st appt. Over 2 hour wait and when I asked NO RESPONSE... we will call you as soon as we can...the 3rd staff person I asked, he just said the doctor was added several last minute appts to his schedule unbeknownst to him. Yet...people that got here after us have come and gone!!WtH??? Not sure if its just this doctor but the staff I dealt with acted as if I was bothering them for asking for ETA after almost 2.5 hours after our appt time.So unless you dont value your time, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!!!

I will never go to this place again. Was a circus dealing with everyone there. First time going I had to cancel my appointment because they said I needed a referral. I come back two weeks later and it took them over 45 minutes to check me in saying they couldnt verify my insurance information that I gave them weeks ago. I had to explain my story about a referral over and over. Rude employees that lack customer service skills and very negative energy from all of them. The only employee that was very kind is Dr. Vinh.. Yet I still left with a weaker prescription then I had before having to use my old contacts to be able to see today.I am going back to my other eye doctor even though I have to drive farther away its worth it.Your office needs a complete sweep! Get workers that are good with people and know what they are doing. I have never experienced this at an eye doctor it was very disappointing.....

Front desk is rude. Drove all the way down from Sorrento Valley just for my appointment to be rescheduled.

Extremely disappointed in this office on so many levels. They falsified documents showing they gave me an eye exam when trying to get fitted for contact lenses but they actually used tests from 6 months prior to this. Incompetent staff and they charge an arm and a leg so make sure you get total of charges upfront. Didnt feel Dr could really help me anyway as I had eye surgery 35 years ago and they just want money. Went for 2nd appointment for contact fitting but they couldnt bother to call me to let me know contacts werent in. So much for that wasted trip. Done with this office!!

One of the worst customer support I have EVER experienced. In my opinion, No accountability, no respect for the customers time, hardship or pocketbook... SO ONLY a fool chose to order glasses or contact lenses through Acuity Eye Group/Retina Institute of CA (at least through their Grossmont/San Diego office), which is exactly how I feel right now...I was told that I will receive my lenses within 2-5 days of ordering. Doing a follow-up for tracking number, I was told they dont provide tracking number, and 2-5 days delivery which was the incentive, all of the sudden became 9 days.FIFTEEN(15) DAYS LATER, STILL I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY LENSES(to see and drive for food and other essentials ... etc.).I even have offered to call the shipping department of Retina Institute of CA to see if they can track my order directly (just in case the employees of Acuity Eye Group are too busy to follow up on the status of my order), which has been refused!Anna Vang, the optical manager (who apparently, per Retina Institute of CA, and Acuity Eye Group, call center staff, is the only person who can help me), completely has ignored my cries for help...To date, I have not received any acknowledgment or any call back from her, despite a number of requests for a call!!!I have made over 27 phone calls just to find out if my lenses are even mailed out; when? or if to a correct address, etc... With no luck!I have a rent a car sitting in front of my house I am not able to return, even to have them do their required smog test for their registration(which they noticed to make me responsible for). Nor have I been able to drive to the store to buy food, or for any other emergencies in the past two weeks.Furthermore, I have found out, in addition to horrible customer support, no product in hand(to see my way around), and a number of personal hardships, and damages to date, I have also been charged somewhere between 30% to 38% more than few other places!!!

This place sux. The five star rating is completely bogus. They scheduled me 2-3 weeks out. Less than 24 hours before my appointment, blew up my phone attempting to force me to come in several hours early to accommodate their schedule. I said no, repeatedly, and the woman wouldnt take no for an answer. Then, starting at 8 AM the day of, blowing up my phone again, trying to move me up several more hours. It isnt a corona thing, its an awful customer service thing. How disrespectful. If you value your time, like 99.9% of us do, avoid this lousy place. It isnt good.

My long time opthamilogist, Dr. Haight, moved into this group. The new staff and facility are great. I am happy to still be in great care with an old doctor and will keep going. They were all prompt and caring.

Dr Wasserstrom is definitely one of the best opthalmologists in San Diego. The clinic is well organized and operated by a professional group of staff. They are all passionate about their jobs and care about their patients. Everything runs smoothly without any errors.
