My regular vet wasnt available and I really needed to have my dog seen. Reading the reviews here, I figured, how can I go wrong? BAD IDEA. My review isnt based on the staff who does the intake but on a particular vet or whatever she was who we saw. She was rude, condescending, and didnt make me or my husband feel comfortable in the assessment she gave us. She had an arrogance about her, and acted as if we were trying to tell her how to do her job. We simply provided her the symptoms our dog had and described the problem, and her attitude just wasnt pleasant or understanding. She wanted to start off with blood work, which as we all know can be costly. There was no reason for it. After she walked out to get us a list of the costs for recommendations, I was so irritated. We didnt wait for her to come back. I took my dog back to the car, and my husband spoke to the receptionist. We left, and paid NOTHING. Quick service and treatment for my cat, who I brought in for a fever. The vet was able to explain exactly what was going on and offer options for treatment, and everything was done quite quickly, no need to wait.

I started using Sunny Hills a few months ago for my special needs cat. Due to the pandemic, most veterinary hospitals are only doing curbside services and owners are not allowed in the building/exam rooms with their pets. While very understandable, I commend Sunny Hills for remaining open for owners to join their pets. My cat has severe neurological issues and gets incredibly stressed out going to the vet, especially if I am not there with her. Thanks to Sunny Hills, my girl has been able to get all the medical care she needs and have me with her the entire time to comfort her and help decrease her neurological symptoms (symptoms which otherwise would have been set back, leaving her uncomfortable for days following). I really like Dr. Howe and the attention she gives my cat. She listens to my concerns and is respectful of my girls neurological condition/limitations. A lot of vets jump to the quality of life question with special needs animals, but Dr. Howe has been very helpful in keeping my girl healthy and happy. I will be scheduling appointments in the near future for my other cats to be seen for check-ups as well.

Had an appointment this morning for my cat to get neutered, first off, I didnt get a call reminder and pre op notification . Drop off time was a respectable 8am from what I gathered over the internet. Checked their website and other means to confirm their time of operations. Its conflicting, their website says 730am but Google says 8am. Either way, I was there at 8am, open sign glowing and a locked door. There is a sign on the door to get in contact with them when you have arrived, nobody answered.. I knock very generously on the door, just in case the workers were occupied. 10 minutes, nothing. I walked to the back of the vet office to confirm vehicles parked and found someone hanging out in the back. I wasnt really bothered at that point. I went to the front and proceeded to wait a few minutes, nobody came to the door. I was about to knock again when a worker showed up on the otherwise and started to unlock the door. A good morning greeting from me was met by a barrage of questions on why I was being loud and impatient by knocking on the door. Thats where I stopped being patient and let her know that she was late and Im on a time schedule. Mind you, by this time, its 15 minutes past opening and Im getting yelled at by the staff. She knows shes wrong. I was hesitant from then on, besides their prices being average 30% than other reasonable known locations, their office was dirty, inkept and had personal patient files out for the public to see. I entertained the workers lack of accountability for a few minutes until I asked for her manager information, stuttering, she refused, as did the other workers.I graciously took that as an out and left, I know I wasnt welcome from the start and wasnt dreaming of giving them my money after the display I was involved in this morning. Absolutely appalling.

We have taken all of our pets to this facility and they have always worked with us and made sure our pets were in great health. I will continue to take my pets to this place.

My dog had an infection and my main vetrenary clinic wouldnt help and turned us away. My wife googled and Sunny Hills popped up. The staff and Dr. took great care of my princess. I will be taking my pets here from now on. The staff was kind and helpful and the Dr was informative and took action. I took my dog in, Dr. did surgery and my dog was out 2 hours later. Thank you so much Sunny Hills team for all your help and your warm welcome. You definately have new members at your facility.❤ keep up the great work!

This has been our home vet for a long time now. I trust everyone at the hospital to genuinely care for my pet. Dr. Howe is also amazing. She is very knowledgeable and I can tell she truly cares for animals. I am grateful to Sunny Hills Animal Hospital for their services and care.

I had an emergency with my dog and they quickly got her seen and treated. The vet was very responsive and helpful when explaining the treatment plan.

My dog was experiencing some vomiting and they were able to fit me in with very little waiting. I was pleased with this because due to COVID19 procedures everything runs a bit differently and I was worried what that would look like. Thank you to the staff and female doc. They all complimented his lion haircut too.

It was time for my neighbors cat to go to heaven, she had been fighting cancer, gone through chemo and thought was doing well. However this day she wasnt and she did not want her to suffer any longer. Her vet and mine had already closed. I was calling around and found this vet willing to help. We had never been there, the whole staff and Dr treated us like regular clients they have know for years. I feel very blessed to have met these wonderful people and would return for their services in the future.

This place is great and they are close to home. Not only is the location convenient but the service is good and the pricing is affordable. It is hard to find this balance in a vet and we having been taking our dog here since day 1 and have had no problems. Thank you.

Care was ok but seem a little cold when telling you to put your animal down

We brought my 2 yr old cat with a fever of 103.7. We were very concerned about Cody because he appeared pretty sick. The staff and our Vet were so carrying and explained everything to us and treated Cody so sweetly. Meds and treatments were completed fairly quickly. Vet sent us home with antibiotics & an anti-inflammatory. He was pretty restless last night, this morning he appeared to be feeling a little better. His eye cleared up as well.So, we are extremely happy with the staff at Sunny Hills Vet hospital. Thank you for taking such good care of our boy.

We have been bringing our dogs here for the past twelve years. They are always kind, appointments are easy to get and the Doctors have all been great! Dr. Howe was amazing when one of our dogs got pancreatitis and diagnosed with epilepsy. We also boarded our dogs here while on vacation because of specific medical needs and were able to call regularly to make sure all was ok. The prices are also very reasonable. We trust our babies to their services and have not been disappointed.

Went in for a check up and vaccines. The office visit was great, staff is friendly and helpful. My dogs pooped in their crate and staff gave me a warm towel to wipe the pups and paper towels to clean the crate. The vet is very knowledgeable she was very friendly and loveable towards my pets. This Animal hospital, the Doctors and the staff always make sure that the best care is given at the best cost. They DO NOT push you into doing things for your pets just to make money. I drive over a half hour to take my pets here even though I have 3 Vets within 10 minutes from my home! I cannot express enough how wonderful they are. When I had to euthanize my elderly dog, they took extra care and gave her and us extra comfort. Today is the first time I had my bunny get his nails trimmed. The other vet I usually go to didnt have space so I was able to schedule one at this place. The Best.My Doxie was paralyzed.I couldnt afford the operation.Dr. Howel suggested an alternative procedure. With dedicated attention and love, she is a happy little girl. She runs and wags her tail as if nothing happened.Been going here for over 10 years for both my Doxies.

This Vet is right down the street from my house. It’s very convenient and also the staff is very compassionate. My Mom had to bring in her 16 year old Rat Terrier and put her down. She had a seizure and lost all control of her body. It was so heartbreaking and the staff and Veternarian was very understanding about us crying and hurting. They gave us a hug and was there for us. I now have a puppy and I brought him here for his puppy shots. It was very easy and they were very informative with everything. Will definitely recommend them to other people.

This hospital is a great place! I have taken every single one of my animals there and have never had problems. We even had to keep my puppy there for three days and we were able to visit him and they would give us updates on him always. I enjoy the staff greatly.

I had to surrender my dog due to her illness when i came in there was a lady who was talking me. I cant remember her name but has tattoos and blonde highlights anyways when she saw me crying regarding my puppy she had given me options which ok i could understand however when she was explaining about transferring my puppy to the facility.she gave me false information she told me if the puppy was to get better that the facility would try to rehome my puppy depending on how she was turns out this woman never told me my puppy would be rehome to her if my puppy was out in the clear since the beginning she has had an eye on my puppy and now gives me false information so now my puppy could or could not survive and now she takes my puppy are u serious they told me she was going to pass and i signed over because of how much it would cost she saw me. Crying and knew how much my puppy ment to me and my daughter and now she either keeps her or it will be rehome to another family then tells me she signed saying she was taking ownership never was there a signature of her name and what paper work i have said it was to sunny hills vet there to ghetto the dr there are big time drama they did not take care of any of my puppies and required me to buy more stuff when they could not find the problem with my puppy in the beginning the dr had told me paris was healthy and good to now she passing and some person take ownership of my puppy then what i thought i was signing to the facility i would never recommend people to take there pets paris my puppy had been seen 3 times and the dr kept telling me she was ok healthy they dont take time with our dogs but quick for money and never will i go again

After calling around and trying to find the right hospital for us, I found Sunny Hills. While calling around, I got to experience many different receptionists. They all sounded like business people straight to the point. At Sunny Hills, I could express my worries over the phone and they would comfort me as a valuable person to them. The prices are very reasonable. They never overcharge and suggest only the best treatment and procedures. If something wont work, they right away advise you not to waste your money. The staff at Sunny Hills are extremely nice and make you feel like at home. Dr. Howe is amazing. I can tell that they all love animals just like I do. I am grateful to have found veterinary hospital close to my home, where I feel welcomed, where we get great care for Love, and which is not after your money during vulnerable times. We took out two yorkies In for their annual checkups, a 10 yr old and 4 yr old . First time and I have to say I was really happy with the service provided my Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed. Took the time to listen to every Inquire we had , and what I liked the most is that he did make sure we didn’t have any more questions or concerns.

Hands down the best pet hospital. We took our German Sheppard chevy to them. He had to have emergency surgery and they were so caring and took excellent care of him. I even called to check about his followup and they remembered him right away. I highly recommend this hospital for anyone looking for a new vet.

We have been taking our pets (3 dogs and 1 late cat) to sunny Hills for years and have never had a bad experience. Not only is the staff friendly and gental with yr pets they are very compassionate. We had to put our 17 yr old cat down last year and everyone at Sunny Hills made the experience as best as it could be. On top of it their prices are very reasonable and not over the top.

1st time coming here because my dog needed surgery. We came after being quoted almost double from a vet in Yorba Linda. Sunny Hills vet is not only better priced, but they truly care and have been very helpful throughout the process.

My dog ate some chocolate that I left on my counter. I didnt know what to do, so I stopped by the first animal hospital I saw. The staff was very caring and immediately stopped what they were doing so they could tend to my dog. I was a wreck and they made this visit easy and pleasant under the circumstances. I have been coming here for 4 years because the service is great. Dr. Howe has been my primary veterinarian for over 4 years now to my 3 Senior Dogs and I have to say, it is so much of a relief when you move to a new area and find a great vet. Bruno one of my dogs A Min Pin has diabetes and has been treated greatly by Sunny Hills Animal Hospital for over 4 years now and he is still a little trooper. I figured I would save the most important part and best part for last their prices are extremely competitive if not the best in the area!

I arrived at my appointment a few minutes early, and my wait was short which was pleasant. The staff and Dr. Herrick are polite, professional, and informative. You can opt for email or text reminders of future appointments which great so you dont forget. They also offer the option of walk-ins for vaccinations on certain days and hours which is also helpful for anyone needing some flexibility.Update: Came in a week later for a followup checkup for our cat. She was recovering just great, so I was able to proceed with vaccinations and micro-chipping. Same as last time, everything was prompt and professional. I would recommend SHVH to anyone looking for a good Vet.

I have been taking my dogs here for the last 13 years and have been very happy with their services.

We are new puppy owners and were referred here by the owners of my puppies mom. There are really nice people here and some of them speak Spanish which is great because my aunt only speaks Spanish. My puppy also loves everyone here.

I’ve been bringing my pup here for 5 years now. They are always accommodating when we need an appointment, especially in emergencies. We experienced an emergency with our pup and since they couldn’t see us at the La Habra location they sent us to the sister location about five minutes away. Great service and would highly recommend.

Been a customer since 2012, with both my dogs, Ive noticed alot of changes, workers are not the same as before, every time I go in, I see a different face, today the tried to charge me 160.00 for what I usually only pay 90.00, very disappointed, wont be returning here anymore 🙃

I called right when they opened for a last-minute appointment and they were able to get me in right away at 9am. My poor Kitty has been committing off and on for 2 days and seems very weak. My cat has a brother and they are prone to eating anything they find as hard as we try they still seem to eat hair ties and string/hair. The doctor was awesome at explaining everything he was doing and why. He was suoer gentle and very thorough. Once they brought me their recommended plan of action they were very open to disscusing details. Im going home with medications and they are completing a full blood panel just to be sure hes okay. I haven’t been to this event in many in many years. I was pleasantly surprised when I called and they were able to get my little pug dog Lela in for an appointment within 30 minutes of my call. She was in pain and was having a problem with one of her teeth. Not only did they offer me a wonderful package to get her teeth cleaned they also were able to get me in for that appointment within two days because she was in such discomfort! They also have a technician who specializes in pugs and brachiocephalic breeds which is really important to me. I want to make sure that she’s taken care of because she’s part of the family. 5+ stars!!

I took my dog Ruckus a 1 year old American Bulldog with a bad cut on his head that got infected. He was in bad shape. They took him in, cleaned him up and gave him about 12 stitches along with antibiotics. They recommended for him to spend the night for observation. When I picked him up the next day he was already back to his playful self. Sunny Hills Vets and staff are great. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Prices are extremely reasonable!!!!!!!!

Dr. Howe was a great vet!my dog had to stay over night due to pneumonia and we were so worried we called about every other hour. The staff was very understanding and wiling to work with us financially. Thank god! They are life savers...literally!Making this my normal vet :)

Finding and staying with a good vet is an important part of Moxies care. When my mini doxie has a new problem, they are already familiar with her special needs (like sensitivity to vaccinations) and plan her care accordingly. Sunny Hills (and Dr. Howe) is that kind of place. Trust me, when you have an emergency, you want someone who already knows and cares about your dog handling it. The evening hours are a big convenience for me also.
