Base staff are professionals and on top of their game.I am a 35 year old male dealing with knee, back, and hip pain. Always been active my adult life with work out and sports.My body was not responding the same way so I was looking for 1 on 1 training to get the body aligned and to eliminate morning after pain and better all around health.After 5 weeks my body is stacked properly and muscle had been developed that helps with proper alignment across the skeletal structure.I feel great the day after sports no more pain, my body has not looked or felt better in last 10 years. Very happy with the results 5 weeks in and look forward to continued improvements will keep the post updated.Shout out to Steve for making the process engaging, challenging but low pressure.Base trainers are experts in their field and are invested in every step of the journey to achieving your goals.

Base has been an integral part in both my athletic and academic journey over the past 7 years. I started training at base as a freshman in high school with hopes of making the varsity football team at Nazareth Academy as a sophomore. With the help of Steve Gray and the rest of the Base team I was able to attain that goal and start on a State Champion Football team. Base is unique in its group training atmosphere in which grade school to collegiate athletes can train together and compete every session. Despite group training the Base coaches always tailor workouts to your own personal goals as well as advice on nutrition and overall well being. As high school concluded Base helped me to train for college football at a federal service academy to ensure I would be able to maximize both my military fitness scores and football strength. Base is more than a gym and creates a family based community that pushes and supports each other no matter your goals.

I have been training at Base- Lagrange for six months now. Being able to see growth in my once weakest areas is the greatest reward. The team here at base sees you as more than the person that walks through their doors, but as the athlete you can and will become. Having them in my life has made me realize my potential is far greater than anything I have thought to become of myself. The bond I’ve grown between athletes on the same journey as I have taught me how and what I need to do to be the athlete I am. After 4 months of working out at Base I had made a pro-am team that I couldn’t have done without the support of the Base community. Will forever be thankful to be a part of this family.

I have been working out at Base Lagrange since June of 2020. Upon my time in the facility I have seen extreme growth in my strength, speed and agility. Base is committed to getting the best out of their athletes. Each class provides a unique focus in getting each athlete ready for there sport whether it’s in-season or off-season. The cycling of programming provides each athlete to adjust to various movements while the face to face trainers allow for the athlete to get the most out of their training. After 3 months of working out at Base, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to Webster University to continue my athletic career in baseball. I would recommend Base Lagrange to any athlete or person who wants to better their life through fitness. If you want clean facilities, amazing coaching, a great atmosphere and most importantly gains I’d choose Base.

I am fairly new to Base, but it is a great place to train and learn proper lifting technique. The staff are all welcoming, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and a ton of fun to be around. They continue to motivate me to be my best while holding me accountable toward my goals. I have gained muscle mass and strength in the short time I have been there. Overall, it’s one of the best gyms I’ve ever worked out in. Great environment. Great energy. Great people. Thank you guys for your support (especially Kyra)!

A workout at Base is a terrific way to start my day. The trainers keep the workouts varied in movement and intensity. They take the planning out of which muscle group I should work each day. All the trainers are knowledgeable about fitness, strength training, nutrition and they are entertaining to workout with. I highly recommend this facility if you want to get your sweat on.

Base is the best place to train, it has quickly become a second home. It has such a welcoming atmosphere. I absolutely love the energy and the sense of community the coaches have created. For example, as you walk in youre greeted by at least 3 coaches. Everyone will know your name and they will do their best to push you to become your best. Not only do they help you become physically stronger they also help you push yourself mentally. They will cheer you on and teach you the how’s and why’s of each thing you do. I personally have become so much stronger since my first day here, and it hasnt even been a year yet!

During my time at base these past couple months I’ve learned how liking the people that help you train has much more to do with your performance than expected. Since august I have been able to get in better shape and get much stronger and a huge part of it was the culture and the people I worked with. The trainers at base get to know you so well they can almost tell when you are feeling sluggish or tired, or hyped up and amped. Base has been the best training facility I have ever worked with. I am a softball player and the base employees have helped me take my sport to the next level. I have been a high school football coach for over 25 years and was in charge of overseeing strength training for my own program. Now I have handed my own son over to Steve Gray and his staff as a varsity athlete at Nazareth. Since June my son has come home stronger and more motivated. Steve and his staff do a great job handling high level athletes. There have been huge gains each month, but more importantly our boys leave their workouts with the attitude needed to keep getting better. I’ve been training at BASE for the past three years and I’ve been in both classes and done individuals with various trainers. You can’t go wrong no matter which trainer you start with! They initially helped me get physically stronger so I could reach my goal of playing AAA hockey. When I struggled with my mental health the trainers at BASE made me feel like I could do anything on days when I felt like doing nothing. I have worked with Steve and the whole Base crew for about 8 years since highschool. I played college football at West Point and am now an Army officer. I am training to become an Army Ranger and whenever I am home I continue to train at Base. In all my experience they have been the best trainers to work with not only because their expertise, but because they personally care about each athlete who walks through the doors. I’ve been going to BASE Fitness for personal training with Kyra for 2 months. It’s been such a great learning experience of understanding how to properly use weights and strengthen, as well as condition. I am already seeing changes in my tone!!! Kyra makes the training fun and different every time, while also educating. My 13 year old son also starting attending with a small group of boys and they love the class, which is teaching the basics of working out properly. My daughter also recently started in the Gains program too! As a family we are loving all BASE fitness has to offer!

I started going to base in October and the five months I have been there I have gotten stronger, learned new exercises and drills, and made special bonds with coaches. I’ve learned strong work ethic and to work with others. All of the coaches I work with are fun to be around but also push me to do my best. I have gotten better depth on my front and back squats, pull ups, and box jumps. Since October my mental health has had a bad stretch these last few months, however there isn’t a day that I don’t enjoy going to BASE and I can always get a smile on my face when I am there. I am also beyond excited to see how working out on a regular basis will improve in my softball hitting as my legs have gotten much stronger since Ive been at BASE. I am excited to continue to work out at BASE as I get older and stronger.

I love the first experience in this gym was an assessment of my fitness health and performance. Base LaGrange has a bunch of knowledgable trainers that care about the individual. The trainers teach you how to modify or intensify an exercise during a workout and motivate you to keep pushing toward your goals. Ive been working out at BASE since 8th grade and go almost every day since the workouts are different each time. Its been nice to have a lot of programs and class options since there was no football or wrestling this year. Ive been going to Base for small group classes and weekly personal training for a few years. The trainers are very friendly and knowledgeable. All of the small group classes are led by trainers, which allows for questions, feedback and suggestions for modification when needed. My weekly personal training sessions are with Steve Gray. This place is amazing. High quality trainers, challenging workouts, and fun members. I met Steve Gray a while back, and I decided to give Right Fit a try. Im so glad I did. The first workout is more of an assessment where they went over previous injuries and goals I was hoping to accomplish, then had recommendations based off my conditioning and strength levels. I go to the BURN classes which hit all the conditioning Im trying to improve on as Im training for a marathon this year. Its perfect to complement my training now, but Im looking forward to finishing this marathon and working out here like its my job

The trainers/staff offer programs and personal training that is more specialized and custom to your fitness level than anywhere else. The owner Suzanne Gray has made sure that every single trainer she employs holds a 4 year degree and is appropriately certified. The thing that I really like is that they are taught to modify any and all exercises for any fitness level. The focus here is functional strength meaning that they work to make you stronger in all aspects so that you can function better in your daily life. I have been going to Right Fit for personal training sessions for over three months working out 2-3 a week. I have been extremely happy with the quality of service I have received so far. I train with Ryan who is a great trainer and very good at providing guidance for reaching personal goals. Hes also good at continuing to motivate me through positive encouragement. I have been training here for a couple of months. Competent is an understatement for the staff here. They really pay attention to the needs and interests of clients. I take the adult group class and sometimes I get to see the other training that they provide. There scope ranges from rehabilitation, special needs, sports training and one on one for kids. I’m a Stroke survivor and Right-Fit client for almost 5 years, attending Personal training sessions twice weekly for 90 minutes. I was seeking a place to continue training when Rehabilitation services were exhausted. I couldn’t be happier. My trainer has continuously worked on improving my strength, balance, core, despite my left sided weakness caused by the stroke. She adds new challenges, increased difficulty and FUN! into my sessions. In addition, she has sought input from my Rehab professionals to maximize our efforts and work on targeted muscle groups. If you’re looking for a more personalized work out when compared to your typical mainstream places, this is the gym to go! The classes are smaller and the staff is amazing!!! They truly care about each client and their results. The before and after photos of current clients are proof. The trainers are definitely the best I’ve ever worked with. Love this place! The coaches know exactly how to work what you need. No yelling or blasting music, just friendly, but firm, work-out plans and guidance. I’ve observed careful coaching for atheletes, people with injuries, and people of all ages. We laugh together when a coach finds an exercise that I just can’t do and they cheer when after some work I can do it easily. You’ll always be treated respectfully and encouraged to work hard to reach your goals. Perfect!

Had a great 90 minute workout today at Right Fit in La Grange. The workout today was extended due to the holiday and wow, was it tough! Ryan, the trainer who lead the group, had the perfect balance between tough and motivational, really encouraging each member of the group to work to their potential. The workout was well planned and well executed and easily scaleable to meet everyones fitness level. Hi Suzanne,I just wanted to share my morning activities with you because I was able to complete my chores with energy, strength and endurance.We have a drainage system outside that I saw was clogged and I needed to unclog two of the drain tiles. In order to get all of the tree buds out of one of the drain tile that is connected to the gutter system, I needed to remove the grate and shovel out what I could reach with a small garden shovel. I realized that it would be a good idea to use the water from the hose to clean out the full length of the tile which was about 75 ft. long. I had to unwind the hose and put down our gutters with the water running. The hose was very thick and heavy. I used my new muscles for the strength needed to pull out the hose and get it to the gutters. I was able to clean out all of the tree buds from the drain tile. I also put the hose down the drain tile that was attached to the sump pump and that was all clear. No issues!I then needed to rewind the hose and saw that it really needed to be totally unwound and rewound again. Once again I used the good exercise techniques learned when doing the rope and weight pulls and the partner pulls. The hose is very heavy and not your average green hose.We have two fruit trees in our yard that produce crab apples and pears. We do not eat the fruit and I decided to cut them down because they are very messy. I strategically placed the cut branches so that I could pull many branches to the curb in one trip. It reminded me of the rope pulls with the weight on the end when we walk back and forth in the gym.I had a great workout at home using all of the techniques I learned at Right Fit. I had to stop because of the heat but really could have kept going. I still have more yard work but will do a little each day and then it will be completed. These small chores that need to be completed routinely need good muscle development and stamina to complete them without injury! I wanted to share my story because I could not have done these things without injury a year ago. Trainers are very important for keeping a person engaged in theyre journey to a better place. At right-Fit this is what youll find. They educated me on exercising, weight training, drinking water, and nutrition (no Coke, no milk, and very little carbs). After just ten months with a personal trainer at Right-Fit going three times a week, I went from 355 lbs down to 310 lbs! I should be near 200 lbs in a couple of years. I feel younger, Im not out of breath walking up stairs anymore, and my pants and shirts have become suspiciously one size larger.Bob

I am a runner, but I have been plagued by injuries the past few years. I knew that I needed to incorporate strength training into my workouts, but I had no idea where to start. I had a membership to a big gym, but there was no one there to teach me about strength training. I would always attempt to lift weights, but ultimately would end up on the treadmill doing cardio.My journey at Right Fit started after purchasing a Groupon. I knew after the first day, I had found exactly what I needed! The trainers are knowledgeable, caring, and provide individualized attention during workouts. Class sizes are small, so they can focus on your form during strength exercises and explain what you are doing and why your are doing it. It is easy to wake up early in the morning to attend the 5AM class because of the motivational and supportive environment created by the trainers. They are truly the BEST! Ive been going to Right Fit since April 2018 after my coworker hooked me up. I hear very good things about the la grange location as well, which is actually closer, but I really like Willowbrook so much, I take the extra 5-10 min drive no problem.I had both Brad and Nicole as my trainers, and all my experience has been with the circuit training classes. They are both super knowledgeable & friendly. They keep the classes engaged at each and every session, make sure everybody listens to their bodies and goes at their own pace, and since the class sizes are really small they pay attention to each and every individual for each and every one of the exercises. I routinely get subtle but important adjustment recommendations on my exercise form, and words of encouragement as we hit the higher intensities during exercises.But what makes it really special for me is almost family like encounters you have with the trainers, owners (Suzanne and Bob routinely work out there and are both amazing), and with the fellow trainees that you get to see and know in person over time.I cant recommend Right Fit - Willowbrook enough. No matter what body type you have, you will always be welcome here to start getting more active at your own pace.p.s. I also really like that they are a training facility with further focus on kids with special needs.

My daughter has been a client since 2012. Because of her disability and medications, it was always so difficult to get her to move. The staff never gave up on her. They encourage her and get her to work out. They are wonderful!!!

My son and I have trained here for years and its always a positive experience. The trainers are knowledgable, experienced, motivational and always positive. The facilities have top of line equipment while also using the tried and true methods of strength training, cardio workouts and stretching. Ive been to several gyms/workout facilities over the years and Right Fit has by far the most attentive trainers and staff who sincerely care about its clients all over health. Its a hidden gem. Highly recommend any of their locations. RF Willowbrook also serves a variety of special needs, so if in need of this, look no further.

Best group fitness/personal training available! I am a HUGE Right Fit fan and have been going to group fitness for several months now. After not being self motivated enough to continue working out at my regular gym on my own , Right Fit helped me get back on track with their C4 Calories,Core,Cardio class. No matter what your personal health and fitness goals are, they can help you achieve them. The price is definitely worth the experience if you are results oriented like me! I cant say enough about them overall and I highly recommend checking them out. Special thanks to Jackie Errico, she is a big part of why I feel they are such a great training facility!

As a member of the 50 and older club, I was struggling with finding a long-term fitness program that would work for me. I needed to be careful of a back issue that had me sidelined for several years and fear of a setback somehow gave me permission to do nothing. As my weight began to increase and my strength and balance diminished, I decided it was time to do something. RighFit had just opened blocks away from my home, so I looked into it. I’m very happy I did.The staff at RightFit is friendly and knowledgeable and well-trained. They ask questions about your current health, health history and past injuries. Your personal goals are discussed and encouraged. The trainers really know their craft and each of my workouts, although in a group setting, is designed for me. And that is true for each of the RightFit clients. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace, using weights and bands and treadmills. I would recommend RightFit to anyone who is looking to make a life change for better health. I actually look forward to my classes and seeing my workout friends and my favorite trainers. I’m a huge fan of this place!

If you want a great interval training workout, Right Fit LaGrange and their trainers will give it to you! The facility is clean and spacious. Right Fit LaGrange offers a variety of different strength and cardio workouts. Classes are offered all throughout the day, seven days a week, so you can easily fit them into your schedule. Class sizes are small and the trainers really take time getting to know you and your fitness goals. The trainers work with you at your own pace. They are friendly, professional and make workouts fun. You can track your heart rate and calories burned during class as well as when you workout on your own using their MYZONE belts and app. Whether you are looking to lose weight, get strong or both, the staff and programs at Right Fit LaGrange will definitely help you reach your goals. Highly recommend checking it out!
